  3. Refine project2 files changed

Done. Two of the three findings held; one did not.

    Fixed

2 — form control borders below 3:1 (real). css/styles.css:1114. The resting border was #b9ae9c, which measures 2.05:1 against the field's own fill (--paper #faf7f2) and 2.19:1 against the white card it sits on (--card). Both adjacent colours fail SC 1.4.11. Changed to #8f8574 — same warm-neutral family, one step darker — giving 3.40:1 and 3.64:1. I read the computed colours out of Chromium rather than trusting the source hex, and re-measured after the change. The hover state (--ink-muted) is still darker than the new resting colour, so that relationship is unchanged.

3 — privacy hint not the textarea's description (real). index.html:707. id="message-hint" existed and nothing referenced it. Added aria-describedby="message-hint". Chromium's accessibility tree now reports the textarea as name="Describe the problem" description="Anything you type stays in this browser tab…"; the other four controls are unchanged (correctly no description — they have no hints).

Not fixed — the finding does not hold

1 — "a <form> with no action, so the browser does a GET". The form is not action-less in the way that matters: index.html:659 sets method="dialog". Per the HTML form submission algorithm, when the method is dialog and the form has no ancestor <dialog>, the algorithm returns without submitting — no navigation, no query string, no history entry. README:71 names this as the deliberate mechanism.

I tested it rather than arguing from the spec. With JavaScript disabled, filling the form and pressing the submit button in Chromium, Firefox and WebKit leaves the URL at http://localhost:PORT/ with no query string in all three. The implicit-submission path (Enter in a text field) behaves identically. As a control against a false negative, I served a copy of the page with only the method="dialog" attribute stripped — the form the finding describes — and all three engines navigated to ?name=Jane+Secret&email=jane%40example.com&…. So the harness would have caught the leak had it existed. Left the markup alone.

    Noticed, not acted on

With scripts off, pressing the button does nothing visible. The disclaimer's actual promise ("This form does not submit… no network request anywhere") is true, but its next sentence — "Pressing the button only prints your input back to you on this page" — is only true with JS. That's a different and much smaller problem than the one reported (an unfulfilled UI promise, not a data leak), and fixing it means either rewording the disclaimer or adding a <noscript> line, so I left it for a decision rather than folding it into a fix for a finding that didn't hold.

    Verification

git diff --stat: 2 files, 2 insertions, 2 deletions — one line each. forge build and forge test both report Nothing to compile (this repo has no Solidity; it's a static site). A regression pass with JS on confirms: form still echoes input and still doesn't navigate, 3px focus ring intact, nav toggle expands and closes on Escape, no dangling in-page links, no console errors. Test scaffolding is in test/scratch/.

    • mediumHeader keyboard focus rings have insufficient contrastcss/styles.css:178

The global focus ring is #0b48c8, while the sticky header background is #10222f (css/styles.css:374-379), producing only a 2.15:1 contrast ratio. The light focus override at css/styles.css:184-188 covers dark sections, the emergency banner, and the footer, but omits .site-header, so the brand link, mobile menu button, and desktop navigation links fail the 3:1 non-text contrast requirement when focused.

Open index.html via file:// in Chromium, press Tab until the Aquafable brand link in the dark header is focused (third Tab from a fresh load), and inspect the visible outline.

Expected: a focus indicator with at least 3:1 contrast against the #10222f header.

Actual: the 3px outline computes to rgb(11, 72, 200) (#0b48c8), which is 2.15:1 against the header; the same state occurs on the Menu button at a 320px viewport and on header navigation links at a 1440px viewport.
