uint256 extra = startedAt != 0 && trade.timestamp >= startedAt && trade.timestamp < endsAt() ? gross * DRAW_PIPS / 1_000_000 : 0;
quote() (line 224) charges the extra 1,000 pips based on block.timestamp at quote time. onTrade() recomputes extra from trade.timestamp and then requires moduleFeeEth - extra >= gross * 2000 / 1e6 (line 235). The two agree only if the adapter stamps trade.timestamp with the block timestamp at which the swap was quoted.
In the Claus system the receipt is recorded in the swap transaction (per the specialists' reading of the adapter, not re-verified here), so this is an integration assumption rather than a reachable defect; it is recorded so the assumption is explicit. If an adapter ever stamps delivery time, boundary receipts fail with InvalidInput and, since received[] is not set, the swap's module fee is never recorded until the adapter retries with a matching stamp.
From audit_flow, downgraded to info because the trigger lies outside this contract.

In that context both try-calls (lines 245 and 250) revert on every trade, each trade emits CollectionDeferred and the gas for the failed attempts is paid by the trader.
The specialists report that the production host delivers receipts outside the lock, so the self-calls do execute there; this is recorded so operators know a keeper (anyone calling collectFees()/claim()) is needed whenever delivery happens inside a lock. No funds are at risk. From audit_flow.

The mock manager marks itself unlocked and the adapter calls onTrade(trade id 1, gross 100 ether, moduleFeeEth 0.3 ether, in campaign): the call succeeds, CollectionDeferred(1, 0.2 ether) is emitted and recipientCollected stays 0.

Review complete. Findings are written to
.imd-findings.json(5 entries, every path/line/snippet verified against the tree).Coverage. I read both entry files in full:
src/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol(281 lines, the only contract) and its single importsrc/IClausTradeProgram.sol. Runtime dependencies are five hardcoded mainnet addresses, which I checked on chain 1: the governance registry (has code, operator is an EOA withsetOperatorand adapter setters, adapterForis still zero for every address), the immutable Uniswap v4 PoolManager, the Chainlink VRF v2.5 wrapper 1.0.0 (not disabled, owned by a Chainlink contract), and two EOAs for sponsor and recipient. No adapter exists yet, so adapter behaviour is an assumption, not a verified property. I ran the three control-flow passes (Execution Trace, Periphery, First Principles) as my own review, with no helpers.Findings.
- Medium: a sealed round with entries has no recovery. If the wrapper never fulfils, or the sponsor's root cannot be settled, the prize plus every later pot top-up from
_assignFinalPotis locked forever. Reproduced with mocks: 0.2 ether stranded, no function can move it. - Low:
quoteusesblock.timestampwhileonTradeusestrade.timestampfor the draw window. A receipt stamped at delivery time across the start boundary reverts withInvalidInput. - Low: the post-campaign auto-claim retries a 200k stipend on every trade. A winner contract that burns gas adds roughly 100k gas to each receipt delivered outside the manager lock, indefinitely.
- Info: privileged roles and mutable dependencies as trust assumptions. Governance can rotate the adapter after review, and the replay key is per adapter. The sponsor controls lists and can pool all rounds' fees into one draw by sealing late. Chainlink can disable the wrapper.
- Info: inside the PoolManager lock the auto-collection and auto-claim always fail, so the treasury share only moves via a separate
collectFeescall.
Verified clean. VRF callback costs 38.5k gas against a 100k budget. Receipt binding checks module, id, data hash and timestamp. The
_paymentlock blocks re-entry into payment, and burn plus take nets the locker delta to zero. No path touches pool liquidity, LP positions, or user claims. Accounting cannot underflow. The extraArgs encoding for native payment matches the wrapper's expected tag.Not done. No critical or high findings, so no proof tests were attached. The scratch harness in
test/scratch/Probe.t.soluses mocks, not a fork, so PoolManager and wrapper behaviour was reasoned from their known source rather than executed. At block.timestamp = S+10 the adapter delivers the receipt with trade.timestamp = S+10: extra = 0.1 ether, 0.2 - 0.1 < 0.2 -> onTrade reverts InvalidInput.
The same receipt with trade.timestamp = S-1 is accepted.

State: governance operator calls the adapter setter so adapterFor(hook) = A2 after adapter A1 delivered trade id 7.
A2 calls onTrade with the same id 7 and matching backing: received[A2][7] is false, so the receipt is counted again.
Expected (if ids are global): rejected as duplicate.
Actual: accepted.
Second state: wrapper owner calls disable(); sponsor's seal(r, root, count>0, h) reverts inside requestRandomWordsInNative and no draw can be requested for the rest of the campaign.

No funds are at risk (collectFees() and claim() are permissionless and work from any outside transaction), but operators must run a keeper or the treasury share stays as ERC-6909 claims indefinitely.
Verified: the _payment lock prevents re-entry into _pay during the callback, burn()+take() net the locker delta to zero, and no path touches pool liquidity, LP positions or user claims.

.imd-findings.jsonholds five entries, all substantiated against the code and the live chain-1 dependencies.Scope read. Both repository files were read in full:
src/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol(the only entry) andsrc/IClausTradeProgram.sol(its sole import). Runtime dependencies were verified from Etherscan-verified sources on chain 1: ClausGovernance, the ComputeProtectedProgram adapter it creates, TradeExtensionHost, the upgradeable HookProxy with its ProtectedHook implementation, and Chainlink's VRFV2PlusWrapper. No coverage is missing within the assigned paths.Verified properties. These hold on the current code and dependencies:
- Receipt binding is sound. The adapter transfers the program fee as ERC-6909 claims before calling onTrade, and the hook's gross and fee checks match the sealed hook's fee math in all four swap shapes, so no legitimate receipt is rejected and the backing check cannot fail.
- Duplicate delivery is blocked twice, by the hook's received map and by the host deleting the pending hash.
- Callers are correct: sponsor, governance-approved adapter, VRF wrapper and PoolManager are each checked, and payouts go only to the fixed recipient or the settled winner.
- Reentrancy through the native-ETH payout is closed by the payment flag, and the PoolManager lock blocks nested unlocks and nested deliveries.
- Treasury, user claims and existing liquidity are never touched. The hook burns only its own claims.
Findings written.
- Medium: a sealed round that can never settle locks its prize forever, and every later pot drains into it. Triggered by a count larger than the leaf set or a VRF word that never arrives. Reproduced with a scratch test.
- Low: pot attribution follows delivery time, and anyone can deliver receipts, so an entrant in a thin round can front-run the seal to inflate that round's prize.
- Low: after the final seal, a winner contract that burns gas makes every delivery waste its full 200k claim stipend. Measured at 407k gas per delivery versus 335k for a paying EOA winner.
- Info: the sealed root does not bind one address per index, so the sponsor keeps a post-randomness choice.
- Info: privileged roles and mutable dependencies, including the upgradeable hook proxy whose fee math change would strand receipts in the adapter.

Pot attribution is decided by receipt-delivery timing, which anyone controls via TradeExtensionHost.executesrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:130
onTrade() adds each receipt's 0.1% share to pendingPot at delivery time, not at trade time (trade.timestamp is used only to decide whether the share exists). seal() then snapshots whatever pendingPot holds at the moment the sponsor seals. Receipts are delivered by the permissionless TradeExtensionHost.execute (verified on chain 1 at 0xea04...7f91: any caller, any time after the swap, outside the PoolManager lock).
An entrant of a round with few entries can therefore front-run the sponsor's seal(r) transaction and deliver every still-pending receipt, inflating round r's prize at the expense of entrants of later rounds; conversely, nobody can be forced to deliver before a seal, so a runner that lags shifts fees forward. This is zero-sum between rounds, not theft from the protocol, so it is low, but it contradicts the stated 4-hour round economics.
After the final seal a winner contract that burns gas and reverts taxes every receipt delivery by up to 200k gassrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:250

After the word arrives the sponsor (or anyone holding proofs) chooses which settles first. The NatSpec already states admission relies on the collector, so this is a trust assumption rather than a bypass, but it is a weaker commitment than 'ordered list sealed before VRF' suggests and cannot be verified on chain. To resolve dependency assumptions I pulled the exact-match Sourcify sources of the live governance, extension host, Claus hook proxy and implementation, and queried their state over RPC. I did not audit those contracts; I used them only to pin down the receipt semantics.Verified properties (harness, 18 tests passing, including a 5,000-run fuzz):

VRFV2PlusWrapper 1.0.0. - Receipt delivery runs outside the PoolManager unlock, so the self-calls to
collectFeesandclaimcan succeed. A deliverer who supplies little gas can only defer them.
Findings.
- Medium. A sealed non-empty round whose VRF fulfilment never arrives can never be settled or claimed, and every later carried pot and late receipt is funnelled into that same round. There is no re-request, timeout or recovery path. Reproduced with a mock wrapper. Suggested fix: allow re-requesting randomness after a timeout.
- Info. The sponsor alone fixes each round's root and count, so it can pick the winner or make a round unsettleable. The NatSpec acknowledges this. Reported as a trust assumption.
- Info. Dependency and role inventory: governance operator can switch the active module, Chainlink's owner can reprice or disable the wrapper, delivery is permissionless with caller-chosen gas, LP stakers receive nothing while this program is active. The Claus hook's ProxyAdmin owner reads as zero, so that dependency is no longer upgradeable.
Not covered. Security of the governance, host and Claus hook themselves, and the real Chainlink coordinator path; the harness uses mocks for the manager, governance and wrapper. No critical or high finding, so no proof test was attached.

quoteadds 0.1 percentage point to the module allocation while a 42-round, 7-day campaign is open. ItsonTradeaccepts a delivered receipt from one fixed adapter, splits the module fee into a treasury share and a prize share, and keeps both as native ERC-6909 claims in the Uniswap v4 PoolManager. The sponsor seals each round with a Merkle root of free entrants and pays for one Chainlink VRF request. Anyone can settle the winner with a proof, claim the prize for the winner, and push treasury fees to the fixed recipient. Payouts go through the program's own PoolManager unlock callback.Verified on mainnet, not assumed. I pulled verified sources for the governance registry, the receipt host, the hook proxy and its implementation, and confirmed these properties:
- The caller check in
onTraderesolves to one adapter per program codehash, created permissionlessly and never re-pointable. Receipts are delivered outside the PoolManager unlock, so the self-calls to collect and claim really run. - The hook computes the module fee as
gross * pips / 1e6, so the program's lower-bound fee check holds for every rounding case. Receipts cannot become undeliverable through that check. - The hook proxy admin has no owner, so the fee-minting code is effectively immutable. The VRF coordinator's minimum confirmations match the hard-coded 3, and the consumer callback costs about 54k gas against a 100k limit.
- Replay, caller binding, data-hash binding, timestamp checks, the unlock-callback guard, and the backing invariant all hold. I found no reentrancy path that moves value, since
_paymentacts as a global lock and every inner failure inonTradeonly defers work.

The repository has no foundry.toml or lib, so I built a harness outside the repository with forge-std and ran a scratch test file that etches mocks at the hard-coded MANAGER, GOVERNANCE and VRF_WRAPPER addresses. All 14 reproduction tests pass on the current code. I also confirmed by public RPC that SPONSOR and RECIPIENT are EOAs, that governance and the wrapper have code, and that the wrapper is enabled today. What I kept, merged from the 18 specialist findings into 9:
- Medium. A sealed round that never settles locks its prize and every later pot permanently. Four specialists reported this; I merged them and reproduced both triggers, a never-fulfilled VRF request and a root with no leaf at the drawn index.
- Low. A gas-burning winner contract taxes every post-campaign delivery by about 120k gas. Measured in the harness against an EOA baseline.
- Low. Pot attribution follows delivery time, so anyone can shift fees between rounds by timing deliveries around seal().
- Low. If the Chainlink wrapper reverts, no round with entrants can be sealed and the fallback routes the whole pot to RECIPIENT.
- Info. Clock mismatch between quote() and onTrade() at campaign boundaries. Downgraded from low because the trigger depends on the external adapter's stamping, which I could not verify.
- Info. SPONSOR trust assumption, merged from three specialists, including the two-leaves-per-index case.
- Info. Privileged roles and mutable dependencies, merged from four specialists, with the per-adapter duplicate keying and verified reentrancy guard.
- Info. Self-calls always fail inside the PoolManager lock.
- Info. Round.claimed is dead state.
What I dropped or did not resolve. No specialist finding was dropped outright. The specialists disagree on whether governance can rotate the adapter; I report both readings and what the code itself guarantees. No critical or high findings exist, so no proof files were attached.
Verified properties. State is updated before payment, the payment lock blocks reentry from the winner, unlockCallback is manager-only, burn and take net to zero, and no path touches pool liquidity or user claims.

After the final seal, a winner contract that burns gas makes every receipt delivery retry claim() and lose about 120k gassrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:250
Pot attribution is decided by receipt-delivery time, so anyone can move fees between rounds by timing permissionless deliveries around seal()src/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:130
If the Chainlink wrapper is disabled or reverts, no round with entrants can be sealed and the built-in fallback sends the whole prize pot to RECIPIENTsrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:135
onTrade() recomputes the draw window from trade.timestamp while quote() used block.timestamp; a receipt stamped on the other side of startedAt or endsAt() is rejectedsrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:234
quote() (line 224) charges the extra 1,000 pips based on block.timestamp at quote time. onTrade() recomputes extra from trade.timestamp and then requires moduleFeeEth - extra >= gross * 2000 / 1e6 (line 235).
Trust assumption: SPONSOR (a single EOA) alone defines each round's entrant set, count and root, so it can pick the winner, hold several candidates per index, starve draws, or brick a roundsrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:114
Privileged roles and mutable dependencies that can change behaviour after review: governance adapter selection and operator, per-adapter duplicate keying, Chainlink wrapper owner, permissionless gas-csrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:230
Inside the PoolManager lock both self-calls in onTrade() always fail, so fees reach RECIPIENT only through a separate collectFees() call and the trader pays for the failed attemptssrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:245
_pay() calls MANAGER.unlock(); the PoolManager reverts with AlreadyUnlocked whenever it is already unlocked, which is the case for any adapter that calls onTrade from a hook callback or from inside its own unlock.
From audit_flow.
test/scratch/Judge.t.sol::test_inLockDeferred.
After the lock is released, collectFees(0.2 ether) pays RECIPIENT 0.2 ether.
Expected: nothing different; recorded as behaviour to operate around.
Round.claimed is written by two paths but never read; the public getter can show a misleading valuesrc/ClausFreeDrawHook.sol:190
_claim() sets round.claimed = true (line 190) and _assignFinalPot() resets it to false (line 210), but no function or guard reads it; payment progress is tracked by round.paid versus round.prize (line 186). The flag is only visible through rounds() and can mislead: after a late top-up it reads false although the earlier prize was paid, and after a claim of a round that later receives a top-up it reads true while an amount is still owed until the next claim.
No funds are affected. From audit_permissions.
Fix: remove the field or derive it as paid == prize.
test/scratch/Judge.t.sol::test_claimedFlagDead.
State: round 0 settled with prize 0.01 ether; claim(0) sets claimed == true, paid == 0.01 ether.
Rounds 1..41 sealed empty; a late 1 ether receipt is delivered: _assignFinalPot sets prize = 0.011 ether and claimed = false, then the auto-claim pays the 0.001 ether difference based on prize - paid and sets claimed = true again.
Expected: a flag that reflects whether anything is owed, or no flag.
Actual: the flag toggles but nothing consults it.
