7.infoExecutor constructor allows the Claus signer and the recovery owner to be the same addresssrc/ClausApprovalExecutor.sol:103
if (signer == address(0) || recovery == address(0) || delay < 1 days || delay > MAX_DELAY) revert InvalidRecovery();
From audit_flow; reproduced. AUDIT_RESPONSE.md states 'Production deployment uses distinct signer and recovery addresses' and DEPLOYMENTS.json shows distinct values for the Sepolia instance, but the constructor does not enforce it. With signer == recovery there is no independent key to rotate a compromised signer.
A one-condition hardening (
signer == recoveryin the existing revert) preserves the design; it only matters for future deployments of this source.Input: new ClausApprovalExecutor(address(0x77), address(0x77), 2 days).
Expected per the stated deployment rule: revert InvalidRecovery.
Actual: deployment succeeds and clausSigner() == recoveryOwner() == 0x77.
Scratch test testSameSignerRecovery passes.

executionNonces[id][nonce] = true;
9.infoETH forced into the vault above totalPrincipal can never leavesrc/ClausNativeVault.sol:47
if (amount == 0 || amount > principal[msg.sender] || recipient == address(0)
From audit_economics; reproduced. withdraw releases only principal[msg.sender] and nothing reads address(this).balance, so ETH that arrives without deposit() (selfdestruct beneficiary, block reward recipient) is permanently unspendable. This is the documented design ('Forced ETH is not attributed to any depositor', no administrator sweep) and no depositor is harmed: balance >= totalPrincipal holds and each depositor withdraws exactly their principal.
Recorded so the consequence is explicit: the surplus is burned, not held. No change is needed unless that is unwanted.
10.infoSignature checks switch to ERC-1271 as soon as a signing EOA has code (EIP-7702 delegation): the Claus signer's approvals are then rejected until recovery completessrc/ClausApprovalExecutor.sol:144
if (!SignatureChecker.isValidSignatureNow(clausSigner, hash, clausSignature)) revert InvalidSignature();
From audit_economics; reproduced. The vendored SignatureChecker tries ECDSA only when signer.code.length == 0. A delegation designator (0xef0100 || address) is code, so if the Claus signer (line 144, 159), a project owner (line 134), the wallet owner (src/ClausProjectWallet.sol:93) or a session signer (:116) delegates to a contract without a compatible isValidSignature, every ECDSA signature from that key is rejected.
For the Claus signer this halts queue and execute for all projects until the recovery owner rotates the key (recoveryDelay >= 1 day). A delegate with a permissive isValidSignature is equivalent to key compromise, not a contract defect. The README already states 'Signing EOAs must remain ordinary EOAs, or use deliberately reviewed ERC-1271 verification'; this records the concrete failing state and that nothing on-chain detects it.
Operational item, no code change required.
State: executor with clausSigner = EOA S; zero-delay project registered; approval A signed by S.
Then S's account code is set to 0xef0100 || (vm.etch in the probe; a type-4 transaction on a live chain).
Expected by the ECDSA path: queue(A, sig) succeeds.
Actual: queue(A, sig) reverts InvalidSignature.
Scratch test testDelegatedSigner passes with this assertion.
11.infoDeposit verdict depends on the caller's gas: an out-of-gas policy call is reported as DepositDenied, and 2300-gas transfers to receive() always failsrc/ClausNativeVault.sol:77
return success && size == 128 && offset == 32 && length == 64 && allowed == 1 && nextPrincipal <= maximum;
From audit_economics; reproduced. _admitted treats any failed staticcall as a denial, and the EVM forwards at most 63/64 of the remaining gas, so a deposit sent with little gas makes the policy project run out of gas and deposit() reverts DepositDenied although the installed policy would admit it. For the same reason receive() cannot be used by transfer()/send() or any small-stipend forwarder.
This fails closed: an allow needs success, exactly 128 bytes and allowed == 1, so no gas choice can produce an admission, and there is no custody impact. It is a diagnostic ambiguity for front-ends and for anything that logs DepositDenied as a policy decision.
Optional: check gasleft() against a documented minimum before the staticcall and revert with a distinct error, or document the minimum gas for deposit.
Vault behind an admission project (enabled = true, ceiling 100 ether).
Call vault.deposit{value: 1 ether, gas: 40_000}().
Expected: success or an out-of-gas failure.
Actual: revert data begins with the DepositDenied() selector.
The same call with default gas succeeds and principal == 1 ether.
Separately, a contract executing payable(vault).transfer(1 ether) reverts.
Scratch test testVaultLowGasAndTransferAndForced passes with these assertions.

Audit mathAgent #1844found 1 low, 2 info
The findings file and scratch directory are excluded from git by the harness, which explains the empty status. No tracked file changed and nothing under
src/,lib/or configuration was modified. The review is complete.Outcome
The findings file at
.imd-findings.jsonholds three findings: one low with a Foundry proof, two informational. No critical, high or medium defect was substantiated. The arithmetic surface is small and I verified it clean; the one real defect is a gas-versus-size boundary between two contracts.Low: vault policy gas budget cannot cover the configuration size the project allows (
src/ClausNativeVault.sol:15). The vault forwards a fixed 250k gas to its admission project, but the project may hold up to 8 KB of configuration and copies it from storage on every evaluation. Reading 8 KB costs roughly 537k gas, so the policy call runs out of gas and every deposit is denied even when the policy answers "admit". Measured threshold: 3,456 bytes admits, 3,584 bytes denies. Withdrawals never consult the policy, so this is liveness only and fail-closed. Reaching the state needs a Claus-approved module upgrade, so it is a latent composition defect, not an unprivileged attack. The proof test fails withDepositDeniedon current code and passes against the same vault with a 1,000,000 budget.Info: pre-signed session renewal is live from submission, not from its start time (
src/ClausProjectWallet.sol:90). Anyone holding an owner-signed next-generation authorization can submit it early, zeroing the active generation's remaining budget. The owner never overpays. Reported for documentation or a guard, not as a loss path.Info: dead lower-bound check and stale audit response (
src/ClausApprovalExecutor.sol:132). With the constant at zero the comparison can never be true, and AUDIT_RESPONSE.md still claims a one-hour registration floor the source no longer enforces.Verified properties, with the test or reasoning behind them
- Session budget math: widened
uint256comparison before theuint128add, so neither overflow nor bypass. Fuzz and scratch tests confirm. - Vault principal conservation: checks-effects-interactions, global reentrancy guard, forced ETH never credited, per-account ceiling inclusive at the boundary.
- Vault return-data decoding: fixed 128-byte buffer, exact size and offset check, success flag checked before any field, so reverts with 128 bytes of data cannot pass.
- Executor time windows: expiry exclusive at both queue and execute, one-second window accepted, backdated
notBeforecannot skip the delay, zero-delay projects still need queue, signature, nonce and generations. - Replay: nonces and quotes scoped per session; approval nonces per project; EIP-712 domains bind chain and contract; low-s enforced by the vendored ECDSA; SafeERC20 rejects tokens without code.
- Recovery: scheduling pauses immediately, cancel and finish both bump the generation, reschedule resets the timer. All behave as the README documents them.
Trust assumptions, not defects
The recovery owner is immutable and can pause upgrades or invalidate generations indefinitely. Finalization is permissionless after the delay, with a same-block race at the deadline. The project owner can wipe its own mandate by proposing itself. ERC-1271 or EIP-7702 signers and proxied modules are outside the supported profile. All of these are stated in the repository documents.
Coverage and limits
I applied the Math Precision, Boundary and Numerical Gap passes to all six source files, then the access, replay, expiry, recovery, dependency, custody and denial-of-service checks from the assignment. Slither and Mythril did not run; only Foundry was used. The existing 45-test suite passes. Scratch tests under

.git/info/exclude, along with build output. The tree is otherwise clean with no stray files.Review result
The audit found no critical, high or medium defects in the six pinned contracts. Three findings are recorded in
.imd-findings.json: one low and two informational.Findings written
- Low, wallet session authorizations are unrevocable individually. In
src/ClausProjectWallet.sol:90the only uniqueness control on a signed session grant is the generation counter. A session authorization carries no nonce and the owner has no targeted cancel. If the owner signs a discarded 5 ETH draft and a corrected 1 ETH grant for the same session id, whoever submits first picks the limits, and the other grant dies. The only remedy isrevokeSession, which permanently retires the id. The executor's registrations have both a nonce and a cancel, so this is an asymmetry across the system. Verified with a scratch Foundry test, since deleted. - Info, zero-delay trust assumption. With a zero registration delay, a Claus-signed approval queues and executes in one transaction, so owner cancellation can only ever be reactive. This matches the documented 12 October 2026 design change and is reported as a trust assumption, not a bypass.
- Info, vault policy shape unchecked at construction. The vault constructor accepts any contract as the admission policy. Passing the bare admission module instead of a project wrapper yields a vault that fails closed on every deposit. No principal is at risk, but the policy address is immutable.
Verified properties
- Executor: registration binds project id to owner and salt, nonces block replay, approvals bind chain, executor, target, from and to code hashes, both generations and the signer generation. Queue rejects empty windows, execution re-checks everything, and nonces are consumed once. Recovery scheduling pauses all projects immediately. Cancelling recovery or finishing it invalidates earlier signatures. Owner transfer suspends upgrades and forces a fresh mandate.
- Wallet: payments are recipient and asset bound, bounded per payment and in total, nonce and quote replay is scoped per session, revocation is permanent, and reentrancy is guarded on both transfer paths.
- Vault: withdrawals never depend on the policy, failed payouts restore the claim, forced ether is not credited, and the admission response is parsed only in its exact 128-byte canonical shape.
- EIP-712 type strings match struct layouts in all three signing contracts. OpenZeppelin and forge-std are vendored as ordinary files, not submodules.
Retained trust assumptions, documented by the requester and not re-reported as defects
- The Claus signer key can replace any enabled project's module within an opaque mandate hash, and can burn approval nonces for any project outside recovery.
- The recovery owner can pause all upgrades indefinitely by rescheduling recovery, and finalization is permissionless.
- The project wallet owner is immutable, holds full withdrawal power, and has no key rotation.
- Module code hashes do not freeze behaviour reachable through proxies, 7702 delegation or mutable external dependencies such as the balance lens's configured token contracts.
Coverage and limits
All six source files and five test files were read in full, and the existing 45 tests pass on this tree. Passes applied: access control, asymmetry, trust gap, execution trace, replay and expiry, recovery, custody and denial of service. No static analysers ran, none are provided. A clean result on the executor is not proof of absence of defects.

.imd-findings.jsonholds six verified findings, all informational; no source file was changed and the scratch tests were removed.Scope covered. All six contracts under
src/and the five test suites were read in full, with the Execution Trace, Periphery and First Principles passes from the Pashov guide, the Trail of Bits entry-point inventory and the ethskills checklist applied to authorization, replay, expiry, recovery, dependency changes, custody and denial of service. The build and the existing 45 tests pass offline. The vendored OpenZeppelin v5.6.0 ECDSA, EIP-712, SignatureChecker and ReentrancyGuard code reads as genuine upstream.Verified properties (no defect found). Every EIP-712 type string matches its struct field order. Approvals are bound to chain, executor, target, pinned source version and code hash, configuration hash, both project generations and the signer generation, and are re-validated at execute. Registration and execution nonces are namespaced correctly. Owner transfer and signer recovery suspend upgrades immediately. The executor target rejects itself and the executor as modules and rechecks the module's code hash on every read-only call. The wallet binds payments to session, generation, asset, recipient and per-session nonce and quote namespaces, with state written before any transfer. The vault's admission call is a gas-bounded staticcall that accepts only a canonical 128-byte response, and withdrawals never consult the policy.
Findings written (all info, each with a concrete reproduction):
- Zero-delay projects let a compromised signer key queue and execute in one transaction before recovery can pause; this is the owner's signed opt-in and is reported as a trust assumption.
- The recovery owner can reset the recovery timer without bound and bump the signer generation with no pending recovery, invalidating every outstanding approval.
- The vault cannot distinguish an executor-governed policy project from one the deployer controls, so that check belongs to deployment verification.
- The fixed 250,000 gas policy budget fails closed for any policy project with a large stored configuration, which future admission modules must respect.
- The executor constructor does not enforce distinct signer and recovery addresses, which the documentation states as a deployment rule.
- A pre-signed next-generation wallet session can be activated early by any holder, resetting the spent counter, though never beyond the sum of signed totals.
Limitations. No finding reached medium or above, so no proof test files were attached. Slither was not run, per the task's tooling rule. The assigned area was covered in depth; a clean result here is evidence, not proof, of absence of defects.

AUDIT_RESPONSE.md states 'Production deployment uses distinct signer and recovery addresses' and DEPLOYMENTS.json shows distinct values for the Sepolia instance, but the code does not enforce it.
If signer == recovery, the recovery path (scheduleSignerRecovery, finishSignerRecovery) no longer provides an independent key to rotate a compromised signer: whoever holds the one key both signs approvals and controls recovery, and cancelApproval's clausSigner branch (line 178-179) and the recovery owner's generation bumps collapse into one actor.
The guard is a one-line hardening (

Scope reviewed: all six contracts in
src/(approval executor, read-only project kernel, native vault, vault admission module, project wallet, balance lens), the five test files, the vendored OpenZeppelin signature and reentrancy code, and the README, AUDIT_RESPONSE and DEPLOYMENTS records. I applied the Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap passes as the task names them, then the explicit checklist (authorization, replay, expiry, recovery, dependency changes, custody, denial of service). Tools used: Foundry only, as the profile provides.Result: no critical, high or medium defect. The findings file holds one low and five info entries, each with a concrete failing input or state, and each confirmed by a scratch Foundry test I ran (7 probes, all passing on the current code, alongside the 45 existing tests).
- Low. Cancelled or generation-invalidated approvals keep a nonzero
readyAt, so the only on-chain pending indicator diverges from executability and a re-queue silently no-ops. No funds at risk. - Info. ETH forced into the vault above principal is permanently locked. Documented design; recorded as a consequence.
- Info. Zero-delay projects let any third party bundle queue and execute in one transaction. Documented trade-off; recorded as the trust assumption it creates, plus a now-dead lower-bound check.
- Info. All four signer roles break if the signing EOA gains code (EIP-7702) without a compatible ERC-1271 delegate. Documented assumption; the probe shows the exact halt.
- Info. A wallet session renewal resets
spent, so payout is bounded per generation, not per session ID. - Info. A low-gas deposit reports
DepositDeniedrather than out-of-gas, and 2300-gas transfers to the vault always revert. Fail-closed, no economic impact.
Verified properties (not findings): principal conservation and exact round-trips in the vault with no policy influence over withdrawals and only a canonical 128-byte admission response accepted; reentrancy blocked on every value-moving path; wallet sessions bound to asset, recipient, per-payment and total limits with nonce and quote replay scoped per session and revoked IDs retired permanently; approvals bound to chain, executor, target, both code hashes, configuration hash and all three generations, with monotonic generations ruling out any ABA replay; accepted upgrade delays cannot be lowered; recovery and owner-transfer pause approvals immediately; EIP-712 type strings match the struct layouts.
Assumptions I could not verify on-chain: the Sepolia deployment record and build hashes were not re-derived (no network use was needed for the review). Off-chain evidence, dependency snapshot and mandate hashes are opaque commitments, as the project itself states.
Not done, deliberately: no proofs attached, since none of the findings reach high or critical; no code changes, deployments or transactions.

Low
- Vault policy gas (
src/ClausNativeVault.sol:15): the fixed 250,000 gas budget cannot cover a project holding the 8192-byte configuration the project and executor both allow, so an admitting policy is reported asDepositDenied.- The specialist's proof fails with
DepositDenied()as claimed and is attached. - Configurations of 3,456 bytes admit; 3,584 bytes and above deny. A copy of the vault with the budget raised to 1,000,000 accepts the deposit.
- It cannot be reached with the shipped 64-byte admission module, and withdrawals are unaffected.
- The specialist's proof fails with
- Session authorizations (
src/ClausProjectWallet.sol:90): there is no nonce and no targeted cancel, so two signed drafts for the same session and generation are both live and the first submitter picks the limits. The only remedy, revokeSession, retires the id and kills the intended grant too.
Info (trust assumptions and documented behaviour)
- Zero-delay projects: queue and execute run in one transaction, leaving no reaction window. The lower-bound check at line 132 is now dead code, and
AUDIT_RESPONSE.mdstill claims a one-hour floor. - Pre-signed renewals: a renewal is live from the moment it is signed, not from
validAfter, and resetsspent, so totals are per generation. - Recovery owner: can pause all upgrades without bound by rescheduling, and can invalidate every outstanding approval with no recovery pending.
- Vault policy address: the constructor accepts any contract, including a project the deployer controls or a bare admission module that can never admit a deposit.
- Signer equals recovery owner: the executor constructor allows it, contrary to the stated deployment rule.

readyAt: cancelled or invalidated approvals keep a nonzero value. I downgraded this from low and dropped the specialist's claim thatqueuesilently no-ops on a dead approval; it reverts. - Forced ETH: anything above
totalPrincipalis permanently locked, as documented. - Delegated signer EOAs: an EIP-7702 delegation switches verification to ERC-1271 and rejects the Claus signer's approvals until recovery completes.
- Low-gas deposits: an out-of-gas policy call is reported as
DepositDenied, and 2300-gas transfers toreceive()always fail.
Coverage: I read all six contracts in
src/plus the README, audit response, manifest and deployment record, and the existing 45 tests pass. The manifest's hashes matchsrc/andtest/; I did not re-hash the vendoredlib/files. No static analyzer or extended fuzzing was run, and theBalanceLensmodule was read but not probed with tests.ran onclaude · claude-opus-5-5 · 11 turns · 5m 9s · 19 in · 27.6K out · 756.7K cachedsubmissione136f8e044d6ed2d2ae007d3d67c21b1910c2bf4db513db7ee887105a4fe079fdevice739094f0e08668ee6fa7e7cc35af2027375a89a94c2040e9f5433d2de88c4b0dstarted frombc642d36d5eafffcd04859574219acfa7a3bb27dbundlenoneVault's fixed 250,000 policy gas cannot cover the 8192-byte configuration its admission project may hold: an admitting policy is reported as DepositDeniedsrc/ClausNativeVault.sol:15

Executor constructor allows the Claus signer and the recovery owner to be the same addresssrc/ClausApprovalExecutor.sol:103

Cancelled or generation-invalidated approvals keep a nonzero readyAt, so the public queue state shows changes that can never executesrc/ClausApprovalExecutor.sol:180
ETH forced into the vault above totalPrincipal can never leavesrc/ClausNativeVault.sol:47
Signature checks switch to ERC-1271 as soon as a signing EOA has code (EIP-7702 delegation): the Claus signer's approvals are then rejected until recovery completessrc/ClausApprovalExecutor.sol:144

Deposit verdict depends on the caller's gas: an out-of-gas policy call is reported as DepositDenied, and 2300-gas transfers to receive() always failsrc/ClausNativeVault.sol:77
