▎ Build a one-page live status site for the IMD swarm: "IMD, right now".

▎

▎ What it is: a page anyone can open to see that the IMD agent network is alive and working, with real numbers fetched in the browser on every visit and refreshed every 30 seconds. No wallet, no sign-in.

▎

▎ Data (fetch from the browser; both endpoints allow cross-origin reads):

▎ - GET https://api.imd.fun/swarm: use health.agentsOnline, health.workingNow, health.jobsDoneLastDay, health.oraclesDoneLastDay, health.acceptedLastDay, and the verifierUp / publisherUp / deployerUp flags.

▎ - GET https://api.imd.fun/oracle/requests?limit=10: the latest oracle questions, with question, status, chainId and attestedAt.

▎

▎ Requirements:

▎ 1. On a phone (390 wide), the first screen shows "agents online" and "working now" as live numbers, plus a short line saying what IMD is (a network of AI agents that build software and answer oracle questions). No big hero pushing the numbers down.

▎ 2. Every number on the page comes from the API. Nothing is hardcoded, randomised or animated up from a fake value. While loading, show a loading state. If the API fails, say "can't reach the network right now" with a retry button, and never show stale or invented numbers as if they were live.

▎ 3. A "last 24 hours" section with jobs done, oracle answers and accepted contributions.

▎ 4. A "service health" row showing verifier, publisher and deployer as up or down.

▎ 5. A "latest oracle questions" list of the 10 most recent, each showing the question (trimmed to two lines, tap to expand), its status, the chain name (1 = Ethereum, 8453 = Base, 4663 = Robinhood Chain) and how long ago it was attested.

▎ 6. A small "updated Xs ago" indicator that ticks, and refreshes the data every 30 seconds without the layout jumping.

▎ 7. Dark theme, works at 320 wide with no horizontal scroll, and long questions never overflow their card.

▎ 8. A title, favicon, description, og:title and og:inicely when shared.

▎ 9. A footer link to https://imd.fun.

The site is a live swarm dashboard whose large counters on flat charcoal panels make current activity the visual focus.

    • High — bug: delayed refresh loses reading position. At 390px, delaying the polling callback beyond 30 seconds unmounts all questions and closes an expanded disclosure. Scroll position moves from 2,200px to 877px despite identical successful responses. Preserve mounted disclosures and layout while explicitly marking data as refreshing.
    • Medium — bug: relative share-image URL. The PNG loads, but og:image="./og-image.png" lacks the absolute HTTP(S) URL defined by Open Graph. Publish using the existing deployment-URL build support. External social unfurling was not tested.
    • Medium — taste: redundant oracle-section copy. Delete “Real questions. Answers from the swarm.” The heading already identifies the content; removing this paragraph moves the list up 12px at both reviewed widths.

Chromium and WebKit interaction checks passed, with zero automated accessibility violations. The probe’s sole failure is four font weights; these follow the documented type hierarchy, so no defect was recorded for that measurement. Site files remain unchanged.

    • highbug: a delayed refresh collapses the oracle list and loses the reading positionsrc/useLiveNetwork.ts:39

Now: If the polling callback runs even slightly beyond the 30-second freshness boundary, it replaces an existing snapshot with initialState. This unmounts all ten question disclosures, replaces them with three skeletons, clamps the scroll position, and restores every question collapsed even when the successful response contains exactly the same IDs and data. The resume path also resets the snapshot.

Change to: Keep the existing snapshot and keyed disclosures mounted during a refresh, set phase to refreshing with the previous updatedAt, and explicitly label those values as refreshing/last updated until success. Apply the same preservation to resume; clear unavailable values on failure or timeout while preserving the list geometry.

Why: Requirement 6 explicitly requires refreshes without the layout jumping; a delayed timer or returning to a suspended tab must not take a reader away from an expanded question.

      Chromium, 390x844.

      Serve dist at /preview/.

      Intercept /swarm with {health:{agentsOnline:127,workingNow:9,jobsDoneLastDay:42,oraclesDoneLastDay:13,acceptedLastDay:76,verifierUp:true,publisherUp:false,deployerUp:true}}.

Intercept /oracle/requests?limit=10 with {requests:Array.from({length:10},(_,i)=>({id:"q"+i,question:"What is the state of the network?

      ".repeat(40),status:"attested",chainId:1,attestedAt:"2026-10-10T15:00:00Z"}))}.

Keep these responses identical on every call.

Before navigation call page.clock.install() and page.clock.pauseAt(new Date(Date.now()+1000)); navigate, await Live and document.fonts.ready, expand the seventh question and scroll to y=2200.

A normal clock.runFor(30000) refresh preserves all ten cards, the open disclosure and y=2200.

After that success, hold the next two API responses and call page.clock.fastForward(30001), simulating a polling callback delayed past its interval.

Actual during refresh: phase Connecting, 0 question cards, 0 open disclosures, document height 3789->1721px and scrollY 2200->877.

Release the identical successful responses: height becomes 2817px, all disclosures remain closed and scrollY stays 877, a 1323px loss of reading position.

Expected: phase Refreshing and stable scroll/disclosure state until the new snapshot is applied.

    • mediumbug: the exported share image uses a relative Open Graph URLindex.html:12

Now: The delivered HTML contains og:image="./og-image.png". The PNG exists, but the metadata does not identify an absolute HTTP(S) resource; the optional SITE_URL transformation has not been applied to the committed export.

Change to: Emit the existing og-image.png at its absolute HTTPS deployment URL in the published HTML, using the existing SITE_URL build support, and verify the emitted metadata before publishing.

Why: The brief requires the page to share nicely. Open Graph defines URL values as HTTP(S) URLs (https://ogp.me/#url); a browser resolving a relative image path is not a validation of the URL handed to a share crawler.

At 390px or 1440px (metadata is viewport-independent), serve the committed export and fetch /preview/ as raw HTML.

Read meta[property="og:image"]: its content is exactly ./og-image.png.

URL.canParse(content) is false and new URL(content) throws TypeError: Invalid URL.

Resolving it against the page manually returns a PNG with HTTP 200, so the missing part is the absolute URL in the delivered tag, not the asset.

Expected: the tag itself contains an https:// deployment URL returning the 1200x630 image. taste@1 share passes because it checks tag presence only; no external social preview was submitted.

    • mediumtaste: the oracle heading repeats itself with a promotional voice linesrc/App.tsx:126

Now: Below "Latest oracle questions", the dashboard adds "Real questions. Answers from the swarm." It repeats the section subject without explaining any data or action.

Change to: Delete the section-description paragraph from this heading and let the existing heading row shrink; retain the h2 and the disclosure controls on each question. This moves the list up 12px at 390px and 1440px without leaving a gap.

Why: The supplied copy bar treats this as a dashboard: headings should name the task plainly and carry no promotional voice line. The h2 already does the work.

At 390x844 or 1440x900 with both APIs succeeding, scroll to Latest oracle questions.

The next line reads exactly "Real questions.

      Answers from the swarm."

The heading row measures 56px high.

In browser devtools, hide only .questions-section .section-description: the existing row becomes 44px high and the first card moves from document y=983.96875 to 971.96875 at 390px, or 891.390625 to 879.390625 at 1440px.

All questions, metadata and expansion controls remain available.

Expected: a direct section heading with no duplicate voice line.

  4. Build websiteAgent #177112 files changed

Fixed delayed-refresh scroll/disclosure loss and removed the redundant subtitle. Rebuilt dist/; typecheck and all 24 tests pass. Deliverable payload is 0.82 MiB.

All findings are answered in .imd-responses.json. Absolute share-image metadata remains dependent on the owner supplying SITE_URL; that limitation is documented.

The visual idea is a quiet dark status dashboard led by large live counters, with peach controls and restrained service indicators.

The previous findings settle as follows:

    • Refresh bug: fixed. The exact delayed-refresh reproduction passed, alongside suspension, focus, visibility, failure and timeout checks.
    • Repeated oracle subtitle: fixed. The paragraph is gone; the heading measures 44px at both reviewed widths.
    • Share URL: remains medium, deployment-dependent. The author’s explanation holds: no public hostname was supplied. A scratch build confirmed SITE_URL correctly emits absolute metadata. The deployment owner must supply the actual HTTPS directory before publication.

No new website defects were substantiated. taste@1’s sole flag is four font weights. The regression suite passed 23/24 tests; one unpaused-clock assertion repeatedly expected “0s ago” after the indicator had ticked to 1s. Controlled refresh checks passed.

Recorded the one remaining advisory in .imd-findings.json. Website files are unchanged.

    • mediumbug: the exported share image still has a relative Open Graph URLindex.html:12

Now: The delivered HTML still emits og:image="./og-image.png". The existing 1200×630 PNG loads, but the tag itself is not an absolute HTTP(S) URL. The author correctly identifies that no actual public deployment URL was supplied; documentation and optional SITE_URL support do not change the committed tag.

Change to: At publication, have the deployment owner supply the actual HTTPS directory through the existing SITE_URL build option, rebuild the export, and verify that the emitted og:image URL returns the existing PNG. Do not guess a hostname or ship the local preview URL.

Why: The brief requires the page to share nicely; Open Graph URL values must identify an HTTP(S) resource. This remains the previous medium deployment advisory, not a new runtime defect or a request to invent missing deployment information.

Viewport-independent; checked with Chromium at 390×844 and 1440×900.

Run node scripts/serve-export.mjs and fetch http://127.0.0.1:4173/preview/ as raw HTML.

Read meta[property="og:image"]: its content is exactly ./og-image.png.

URL.canParse(content) returns false; new URL(content) throws Invalid URL.

Manually resolving it against the page returns HTTP 200 and a PNG with IHDR dimensions 1200×630.

Expected: the emitted tag itself contains the actual absolute HTTPS deployment image URL.

Actual: the shipped tag remains relative.

The actual deployment URL is absent, so public crawler/unfurl behavior cannot be verified; taste@1 share checks tag presence only.

The author's alternative was also reproduced in a /tmp copy: building with SITE_URL=http://127.0.0.1:4173/preview/ emits an absolute image URL plus og:url/canonical metadata, keeps runtime assets relative, and the image returns HTTP 200 at 1200×630.

That verifies the existing build mechanism, not the missing actual HTTPS deployment value; the repository export remains unchanged.
