Build the SqueekRaider contract in the objective, deploy it on Sepolia, and its IPFS-hosted website. Yes: publish contract and site source on GitHub. Yes: independent security audit before deployment. Verify the contract on Blockscout and put its deployed address in the site config.

WEBSITE (static, Sepolia 11155111, no analytics, mobile-first, dark only, labelled TEST NETWORK, hash routes; reads: one Multicall3 eth_call, advance(128) then views, show rounds behind (live round - processedThrough); logs paged <=10k blocks from deploy, cached; keyless RPC fallback: publicnode, drpc, tenderly). FREE PLAY: one demo raider per wallet, no Squeek needed (pixel hamster, max level 3); a connected Squeek plays with its own art (metadata.imageDataUri, api.squeekchain.com/v1/squeeks/{id}) in the card frame, up to level 5. Pages: (1) RAID: boss art (bossSVG) and HP bar, tier, season, live Wheel/Burrow (/v1/status coreStatus), "the hamster decides", the nap's move and whether it has reached 18 rounds, cover meter, party by stance, an Advance button (advance(64)). (2) MY SQUEEKS: the wallet's Squeeks incl. staked, listed via api.squeekchain.com/v1/accounts/{addr} (paged) then confirmed by ownerOf/staking.depositor, each with its card, stance, KO, level, Scrap, Dreams, score, pending change; if none, offer free play. (3) LEADERBOARDS per boss, season, Squeek and wallet, demo apart: ids from events, scores via scoreOf/seasonScoreOf. (4) HOW IT WORKS: the rules in plain words; nothing rewards more running; no prizes.

WALLET ACTIONS: play free (enlistDemo), enlist, set stance (batch), upgrade, revive, rest all KO'd. Show Scrap costs first. Switch to Sepolia; simulate writes; pending until receipt; plain-text errors.

Build SqueekRaider, an immutable game contract on Sepolia (11155111): an idle cooperative boss raid driven by a real hamster's settled wheel work on Squeekchain. Squeek NFTs are the raiders; state keyed by tokenId follows the NFT. No owner, admin, pause, upgrade, treasury or tokens. Solidity 0.8.x, nonReentrant on every write. Keep it simple: build exactly this, no extra features. Who receives fees and payouts: nobody; no fees exist. Outside services: only the three Squeekchain contracts below and our RaiderCard. Anyone may call advance, poke, rest, bury; other writes only the Squeek's controller.

CONSTRUCTOR(core, nft, staking) stores immutables, reads NO chain state. Deploy with core 0x980b4424c007caf7a1f3670b48c8eaef7ebc3d44, nft 0xcb98349c134ab983da5bfd80527dfe2552bdb70f, staking 0x4b67b739dfd832f4eac67a7aa3bc244fb74cea4f. Use only:

  • core.state() -> (uint64 settledThroughRound, uint64 cumulativeWork, uint96, uint64, uint96, uint32, uint256, bool paused)
  • core.roundPage(uint64 afterRound, uint64 throughRound, uint256 maxRecords<=16) -> (uint64 certifiedThroughRound, (uint64 cumulativeWork, uint96, uint32) start, (same) end, (uint64 roundId, uint64 cumulativeWork, uint96, uint32, bytes32 dataHash)[] rounds). rounds = ACTIVE rounds only; a settled round absent is IDLE; round work = cumulativeWork minus the previous (start for the first). Resume after the last round applied (<= certifiedThroughRound); never page past settledThroughRound (reverts). Round r ends at 1793022600+600r.
  • nft.ownerOf (reverts if burned); staking.depositor(address collection, uint256 id) = holder of a staked Squeek. CONTROLLER = ownerOf==staking ? depositor : ownerOf; for a demo id, its wallet.

ROUNDS. advance(maxRounds) permissionless, never reverts, also run (64) before every action; maxRounds counts active+pending rounds; idle gaps split at queued rounds E; each step O(1); the first call anchors at settledThroughRound. WHEEL = active round, BURROW = idle. NAP = 2+ consecutive Burrow rounds. RUN = Wheel rounds between naps; at each nap start store lastRunWork = its total work (default 1600).

TIMING. Every action takes effect at round E = (block.timestamp-1793022600)/600 + 2, a round not yet started. Queue changes in pendingDelta[E][from][to][koEpoch[from]] (from/to = a stance or NONE) and on the Squeek; at E, before its move and damage, apply only current-epoch ones (a KO wins), snapshotting idx. One pending change per Squeek, replaceable until round E starts. Max one stance change per Squeek per 6 rounds.

STANCES: STRIKER, GUARD, FORAGER, DREAMER. Wheel damage = workmultgearMult/10000, mult Striker 150, Guard 50, Forager 80, Dreamer 25; gearMult = 100 + 10level (level 0..5). Each Wheel round every live raider gains 1 Scrap. Burrow: Forager +1 Scrap, Dreamer +1 Dream per round, nap rounds 2-37 only. Level boosts damage only. Score = damage + 300Dreams.

BOSS MOVES. Each nap: move = keccak256(last Wheel round dataHash, bossId) % 3: FRENZY (KO Strikers), QUAKE (Foragers), NIGHTMARE (Dreamers). Only if the nap reaches 18 rounds does it land, on the next Wheel round, before its damage. If alivePower[target]==0 nothing happens. Blocked if non-demo target>0 and non-demo GUARD*2 >= it. Else every live Squeek of the target is KO'd (koEpoch++ with index snapshot) and earns nothing until revived. Guards are never KO'd.

ACCOUNTING (reward-per-share): per-stance damage/Dream/Scrap indices, alivePower[stance] = sum gearMult of live raiders, per-stance koEpoch snapshots, per-boss snapshots. Credit = weight*(min(idxNow, idxAtKO) - checkpoint), split per boss (max 8 per checkpoint; poke(ids) to step). INVARIANT (fuzz): sum of damage credits == total damage dealt (overkill stays on the slain boss), minus flooring.

BOSSES sized from the hamster's PREVIOUS RUN: HP = 3 * clamp(lastRunWork, 1000, 12000) * (100+W) * 150/10000 * 13^tier/10^tier, W = sum alivePower[s]*mult[s]/150; tier 0..2; season = 3 bosses. Whenever W changes, HPleft *= (100+new)/(100+old). Kill: snapshot, summon next (KO'd stay KO'd); every Squeek with score > 0 in that boss gets bossesSlain+1 (lazily).

ACTIONS:

  • enlist(ids<2^255,stance): kept while the Squeek exists. setStance(ids, stance).
  • enlistDemo(stance): FREE PLAY without a Squeek, once per wallet: demo id = 2^255 | uint160(wallet), not transferable, max level 3, else same rules. Views/events flag isDemo.
  • upgrade(id): level L -> L+1 (max 5; demo max 3) for 10*2^L Scrap, paid now, applied at E as its pending change (not replaceable).
  • revive(id): 20 Scrap. rest(ids), anyone: free 6+ Burrow rounds after the KO. KO'd: no setStance/upgrade.
  • bury(non-demo id): if ownerOf reverts, unpower. poke(ids): checkpoint only. VIEWS incl. pending: processedThrough(), raider(id), boss(), season(), pendingMove(), cover(), scoreOf(bossId, id), seasonScoreOf, lastRunWork. An event (ids indexed) for every state change, incl. RoundApplied, NapStarted, MoveLanded, KO, BossSlain, BossSummoned, Credited(id, bossId, seasonId, damage, dreams). RAIDER CARD: contract RaiderCard, pure functions, no storage; SqueekRaider creates it with new. cardURI(id) = data:application/json;base64, inline SVG trading card (crispEdges): this 16x16 hamster (14 rows; o #2A1E14, f fur keccak(id)%4 of #C98A4B #E8C08A #8A6448 #D9D2C4, e #0E0E12, p/c #E9928F, b #F3DDBB): ...oo......oo.../..opfo....ofpo../..offooooooffo../.offffffffffffo./.offeffffffeffo./offffffffffffffo/offcfffppfffcffo/offfffbbbbfffffo/offffbbbbbbffffo/.offfbbbbbbfffo./.offbbbbbbbbffo./..offbbbbbbffo../...oooooooooo.../...pp......pp... plus stance item tinted by level, closed eyes if KO'd, trophies, Burrow (moon) or Wheel (spokes) backdrop; grey if not enlisted. bossSVG(tier): a 16x16 pixel owl, tint per tier. Created launch.json with SqueekRaider’s three approved constructor addresses. RaiderCard is created internally. Local manifest and ABI checks passed; only launch.json changed.

forge build and forge test both stopped with Read-only file system (os error 30), so build and test verification remains incomplete.

  3. Audit permissionsAgent #1987found 1 low

The permissions review found one defect: a low-severity asymmetry. All nine entry points have a coverage row, and the results are in .imd-findings.json. I changed no source files, and I deleted the scratch test after running it.

Finding 1 (low): a KO can wipe out a paid upgrade with no refund (src/SqueekRaider.sol:518)

    • upgrade() takes 10·2^L Scrap straight away, then queues the change under the stance's current KO epoch.
    • If that stance is KO'd before round E, the queued upgrade is silently cancelled (_preview, lines 665–672 and 676–683). The Scrap is not returned and the level does not change.
    • revive(), the other paid action, is queued in a way the KO check never cancels, so a paid revive always lands.
    • Reproduction (local Foundry test with the project's mocks):
      1. Enlist Squeek 1 as a Striker.
      2. Run 11 Wheel rounds; the last round's data hash is chosen so the boss's move is FRENZY. Then run an 18-round nap.
      3. At live round 31, call upgrade(1), which queues it for round 32.
      4. FRENZY lands at round 31 and KOs the Strikers.
      5. After round 32 the raider has 1 Scrap (it had 11 before the upgrade), is still level 0 and is KO'd.
    • The brief says the upgrade is "paid now" and "a KO wins", but it doesn't say what happens to the Scrap, so this is your call. Either refund the Scrap on cancel, or document the risk in the contract comments and on the How It Works page.

    What holds:

    • Controller checks: enlist, setStance, upgrade and revive all check the controller per id. That is the owner, or the staking depositor when staked. A failed read resolves to address(0), so every one of those actions fails safe.
    • Open-to-anyone functions: advance, poke, rest and bury are open, as the brief says. None of them lets a third party do more than help the raider's owner.
    • Demo raiders: enlistDemo derives the demo id from the caller's own wallet, so nobody can claim another wallet's demo raider.
    • No roles: the constructor grants no role and makes no outside reads, and the deploying factory gets no privilege.
    • ABI exports: both files in docs/abi match the compiled ABIs.

    Live Sepolia checks:

    • I tried to fake a burn so that bury would work on a live Squeek. It isn't feasible: the NFT reverts only for missing tokens, and its ownerOf costs about 18k gas, well under the 500k the contract forwards. Starving the call of gas would leave too little to finish bury.
    • The staking contract is an upgradeable proxy, so whoever controls that proxy is an outside trust assumption.
    • The core's state() work total matched the starting work total of a roundPage() call. I checked only one sample, a stretch with no active rounds.

Tests and limits: the 44 existing tests pass. I did not run the Sepolia fork test suite. There is no launch.json yet, so no manifest was reviewed.

    • lowA KO silently cancels a queued upgrade after its Scrap was taken, with no refund (a queued revive is never lost this way)src/SqueekRaider.sol:518

Asymmetry between the two paid actions. upgrade() charges 10*2^L Scrap right away (line 518), then queues a stance->same-stance change keyed by the raider's current koEpoch (_queue, line 519).

If that stance is KO'd between submission and round E, two things happen. _applyQueued (lines 439-442) skips the stale-epoch delta. _preview (lines 665-672, change.fromEpoch != koEpoch[change.from] -> delete r.pending; p.cancelled = true) and the boundary check at lines 676-683 then drop the pending Upgrade. Nothing returns the Scrap, so the controller loses it and the level stays L. revive() is the other paid action (20 Scrap).

It queues from NONE, which the stale-epoch check never cancels, so a paid revive always lands. Under settlement lag the controller can't see a KO that is still unprocessed when they submit, and after the KO they can't act (upgrade/setStance revert KnockedOut). The brief says the upgrade is 'paid now' and that 'a KO wins'.

It says nothing about the paid Scrap, so the author should decide this.

Minimal fixes: credit the Scrap back when _preview cancels a Change.Upgrade (r.scrap += 10 << change.level-1, emitting ScrapCredited). Or, if forfeiting the Scrap is intended, document it in HOW IT WORKS and in the upgrade NatSpec so the site shows the risk before the user signs.

      Mocks from test/mocks (MockCore/MockNFT/MockStaking), vm.warp(1793022600).

      Alice owns Squeek 1.

      (1) alice: enlist([1], STRIKER) -> E=2.

      (2) Wheel rounds 2..12 with work 10 each; round 12's dataHash is chosen so keccak256(abi.encode(hash, bossId=1)) % 3 == 0 (FRENZY).

      The raider earns 11 Scrap.

      (3) Settle idle rounds 13..30 (18-round nap, move armed), warp to G+30*600 (live round 31), poke([1]): scrap = 11.

      (4) alice: upgrade(1).

This pays 10 Scrap (scrap = 1) and queues the Upgrade for E = 32.

      (5) Wheel round 31: FRENZY lands, there are no Guards, so Strikers are KO'd (koEpoch[0] 0->1).

      (6) Wheel round 32. raider(1) then shows ko = true, level = 0, scrap = 1, pending cleared with ChangeCancelled.

Expected: either the level-1 upgrade or the 10 Scrap back.

      Actual: both are gone.

Verified with a local Foundry test: logs 'scrap before upgrade: 11', 'scrap after: 1', 'level after: 0'.

For contrast, the same sequence with revive (stance KO'd again before its E) still applies the revive, because its delta is keyed from NONE.

  4. Audit economicsAgent #1726found 1 low

I found one low-severity defect and no high or critical issues in the economics of src/SqueekRaider.sol. The results and coverage rows are in .imd-findings.json; no repository files were changed.

Finding 1 (low): a run with zero work doesn't update lastRunWork (src/SqueekRaider.sol:323, if (runWork != 0) lastRunWork = runWork;) The brief says each nap start stores the work of the run that just ended, and the next boss's HP is sized from it. The README also counts an active round as a Wheel round even when its work is zero. When every Wheel round in a run has zero work, the code keeps the previous run's value instead of storing 0. So after a 12,000-work run, the next boss gets up to 12 times the HP the brief prescribes (sized from 12,000 instead of the 1,000 minimum).

    • Reproduction: wheel round 1 with work 12,000, idle to round 3, then wheel round 4 with work 0, idle to round 6. lastRunWork is still 12,000 instead of 0. The attached Foundry test fails with 12000 != 0.
    • Suggested fix: track whether any Wheel round happened since the last nap, and store the run's work (including 0) when it did. Only the case with no Wheel round yet keeps the 1600 default.

    What holds:

    • Damage credit conservation: the total credited to raiders equals the damage dealt, up to rounding. Boss overkill stays on the slain boss.
    • Per-stance power: each stance's live power always matched the sum of its live raiders.
    • Changes around knockouts: a knockout before a change takes effect cancels it. A change at the move's own round applies before the move lands.
    • Pending actions: setStance replacement and cooldown, upgrades cancelled by a knockout, revive/rest during a boss kill, and burial after a knockout all behave as the brief says.
    • Bounded checkpoints and trophies: checkpoints stop at eight bosses and trophies are awarded lazily, both as specified.
    • Boss HP: HP rescales when party weight changes. Free demo raiders can't make a boss easier, because HP and damage both scale with the same party weight.
    • Scrap and Dreams: they come only from the reward indices and are spent only on upgrade and revive. Nothing in the contract carries value.

How I checked: the existing suite passes (44 tests, 1 fork test skipped). Its fuzz test never covers settlement lag, burial, Dreamers or replacing a pending change. So I wrote a temporary fuzz test with all of those and ran it 500 times: credit conservation and per-stance power held every time. The first failure it reported came from my own test letting the clock run backwards, which can't happen on chain. With that fixed it passed. I deleted the temporary tests afterwards.

Slither leads: none of the listed lines is a finding. The random move is meant to be predictable (the README says so and the site shows it). The strict-equality and timestamp lines are intended round and epoch logic, and the unused return in bury is the intended "is it burned" check.

Not covered: the card renderer (RaiderCard, Text), the website, and the real Sepolia contracts, since the fork tests weren't run. All nine entry points have a coverage row: advance points to the finding and the other eight are marked "holds".

    • lowA run whose Wheel rounds all have zero work does not set lastRunWork, so the next boss is sized from an older runsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:323

The approved brief says: 'RUN = Wheel rounds between naps; at each nap start store lastRunWork = its total work (default 1600)', and 'BOSSES sized from the hamster's PREVIOUS RUN: HP = 3 * clamp(lastRunWork, 1000, 12000) * ...'. The README also says 'An active record is Wheel even if its work is zero'. _idle only stores runWork when it is non-zero. A run made only of zero-work active rounds is a real run with total work 0, yet lastRunWork keeps the value from the run before it.

Every boss summoned until the next non-zero run (_summon reads lastRunWork) is then sized from that stale run. Sizing from the true previous run would clamp to 1000; after a 12000-work run, the stale value makes the next boss's HP up to 12x higher. The check is presumably meant to keep the 1600 default before any run is seen after anchoring.

It also discards a genuine zero-work run.

Suggested fix: keep a flag such as 'sawWheelSinceNap', set in _wheel, and store lastRunWork = runWork (including 0) whenever that flag is set at nap start. Only the no-Wheel-yet case keeps the default.

      MockCore from test/mocks.

Anchor at round 0 with advance(128). core.wheel(1, 12000, 0), warp to round 1, advance. core.settle(3), warp to round 3, advance: a nap starts and lastRunWork == 12000. core.wheel(4, 0, 0) is an active round with zero work.

Warp to round 4 and advance. core.settle(6), warp to round 6, advance: a second nap starts after a run whose total work was 0.

Expected per the brief: lastRunWork == 0, so the next boss clamps to 1000.

Actual: lastRunWork == 12000, and a boss summoned now gets 12x the HP the brief prescribes.

The test below fails with '12000 != 0'.

    • lowA zero-work Wheel run retains stale previous-run work at the next napsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:323

The approved rule stores the preceding run's total work at every nap start, with 1600 only as the default. ACTIVE records are Wheel rounds even when their cumulative-work delta is zero; the interface imposes no positive-delta requirement and CoreReader accepts nondecreasing cumulative work. _wheel correctly treats such a record as Wheel, but _idle only assigns lastRunWork when runWork != 0. A subsequent nap therefore retains a stale default or earlier run total.

This makes lastRunWork and NapStarted inaccurate and sizes later bosses using stale work instead of clamp(0, 1000, 12000) = 1000. This is a game-rules boundary defect; no funds are held or lost.

Run the attached self-contained Foundry proof.

Anchor at round 0 with cumulative work 0.

Return ACTIVE round 2 with cumulative work 0, count 1, and a dataHash; advance through round 2.

Then certify round 4 with no additional ACTIVE records and advance.

The game reports burrowStreak == 2.

Expected lastRunWork == 0 for the preceding zero-work run; actual lastRunWork == 1600.

Verified locally with forge test --match-path test/scratch/ZeroWorkRun.proof.t.sol -vv, which fails with: zero-work run incorrectly retains default work: 1600 != 0.

  6. Audit flowAgent #800found 1 medium, 2 low

I audited SqueekRaider for control flow and found three defects: one medium and two low, none critical or high. All three are in .imd-findings.json with reproductions, and their snippets match the source lines. No tracked files changed; my scratch tests are deleted.

    #SeverityLocationDefectFailing state
1mediumsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:290The advance budget counts steps, not gas. With about 53 or more queued rounds waiting after a settlement stall, advance(64) and all eight other writes need about 20M gas. That is over the 2^24 per-transaction cap, so they revert until someone manually calls advance(n) with n of about 50 or less.
2lowsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:325The first nap after anchoring uses a zero hash for its move.If no Wheel round has been seen yet, the first nap on boss 1 is always FRENZY, whatever the real last dataHash says. Live history makes this likely: 1015 of 1221 rounds were idle, and a nap was in progress when I checked.
3lowsrc/RaiderCard.sol:154A pending enlist renders the wrong item.Between enlist and round E, the card has stance NONE but shows the Dreamer item.

Finding 1 proof: it includes a self-contained Foundry test that fails on the current code. It passes in a temporary copy with a gasleft() floor added to both loops. That fix leaves only 88 bytes of runtime margin, down from 160.

    Coverage:

    • Entry points: all nine have rows and are marked finding with ref 1, because each runs advance or _advance(64). Apart from that, the guards I traced in each one held, and each row says so. launch.json isn't in the tree, so it's marked unreached.
    • Three guides: I made all three passes myself, with no helpers:
      • Execution Trace: paging, queued changes taking effect at round E, and KO timing.
      • Periphery: CoreReader, Text and RaiderCard.
      • First Principles: anchoring, boundary cases, and state that must stay in sync.
    • Checks that passed:
      • A 200-run scratch fuzz covered settlement lag, KOs, burns, boss kills and demo raiders. advance never reverted, the alive totals stayed in sync, previews matched saved state, and damage credits matched total damage apart from rounding.
      • A fork replay of the live core from round 0 to 1221 ran without stalling, and each page read cost about 146k gas against the 500k cap.
      • The existing offline suite passed all 44 tests; I did not run the repo's own Sepolia fork tests.
    • Slither leads: I reviewed the medium-or-higher leads and found no defects behind them:
      • weak-prng is the formula the brief specifies; the zero-hash input is finding 2.
      • divide-before-multiply is just the base64 length calculation.
      • unused-return in bury is safe, because forcing a false "burned" read by limiting gas leaves too little to finish the call.
    • Not covered: a low-gas false "burned" read in bury was reasoned through but not run as a test, because it can't complete. I also did not separately check the exact Scrap and Dream balances per raider beyond the existing tests.

    • mediumA queued round per backlog step makes advance(64) and every action exceed the transaction gas cap after a settlement stallsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:290

The budget counts steps, not gas, and the steps are not equally cheap. A step at a queued round runs _applyQueued, which writes a new Boundary (bossId, 12 Index words, epochs, about 14 fresh SSTOREs) and reads the 5x5 delta matrix before the wheel work: about 312,000 gas per step measured. _beforeAction always runs _advance(64), and the budget is hard-coded, so a caller cannot lower it.

Once about 53 queued rounds are waiting (16,777,216 / 312,000), advance(64) and all eight other writes need about 20M gas, more than the 2^24 per-transaction cap of EIP-7825 on Sepolia. The approved brief says advance 'never reverts' and runs (64) before every action, and the site's Advance button is fixed at advance(64).

Assumption broken: 'each step O(1)' was taken to mean each budgeted call fits in a transaction. Recovery exists and is permissionless, but only by hand: anyone can call advance(n) with n of about 50 or less until the backlog is under the threshold. No state is corrupted.

Severity is medium for the broken guarantee and the site's writes failing during that window; there is no permanent loss.

State: the core stops settling at round 0 after anchoring.

      For r = 1..64, at timestamp 1793022600 + 600*r + 1, a different fresh wallet calls enlistDemo(r % 4).

Each call succeeds and queues a distinct round r+1 (free, no Squeek needed).

The core then settles rounds 1..64, all active.

      Measured with forge test --isolate on a 130-round version of this backlog: advance(32) = 9,965,467 gas, advance(64) = 19,962,051 gas, advance(128) = 39,956,823 gas, enlistDemo = 20,060,721 gas.

Calling advance(64) with 16,755,216 gas: expected, it processes what fits and succeeds; actual, the call reverts out of gas, so processedThrough does not move. enlistDemo, enlist, setStance, upgrade, revive, rest, bury and poke fail the same way, because each runs _advance(64) first.

Real page reads add about 145,000 gas per 16 records on top.

Fix: also stop the loops in _advance and _page on a gasleft() floor.

With && gasleft() > 2_000_000 added to both loop conditions in a temporary copy, the proof passes; runtime size must be rechecked since the margin is only 160 bytes.

    • lowThe first nap after anchoring takes its move from a zero hash instead of the last Wheel round's dataHashsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:325

The brief defines the move as keccak256(last Wheel round dataHash, bossId). lastWheelHash is only written in _wheel and the anchor path in _advance does not seed it, so a nap that starts before the contract has seen any Wheel uses bytes32(0).

This is likely in practice: on live Sepolia, replaying the core from round 0 through settled round 1221 gave 1015 Burrow rounds, and a nap was in progress at the end of that replay (streak 7). keccak256(abi.encode(bytes32(0), uint64(1))) % 3 is 0, so if the contract anchors with no Wheel before the first nap, that nap is always FRENZY, whatever the hamster's real last round was.

If it reaches 18 rounds it KOs Strikers rather than the stance the brief's formula names, and players can know this before launch. This is separate from slither's weak-prng line, which is the intended formula. The README's 'no pre-anchor history is inferred' covers run work, not this move.

Fixing it means either a scope decision (no move until a Wheel has been seen) or finding the real last Wheel hash at anchor time.

      Using test/mocks: at timestamp GENESIS + 600*20, core.wheel(10, 500, H), where H is chosen so keccak256(abi.encode(H, uint64(1))) % 3 == 1 (QUAKE), then core.settle(12). game.advance(1) anchors at 12. core.settle(14); game.advance(1) starts the nap. pendingMove() returns move 0 and napRounds 2.

      Expected: move 1, from H.

Actual: move 0, from the zero hash.

Settling through round 30 and then core.wheel(31, ...) would land FRENZY on Strikers rather than QUAKE on Foragers.

    • lowA raider whose enlist is still pending renders with the Dreamer item on its cardsrc/RaiderCard.sol:154

_item returns nothing only when enlisted is false, and its final ternary branch treats every stance other than 0, 1 and 2 as Dreamer. SqueekRaider.cardURI passes enlisted = true and stance = NONE (4) from the enlist call until the queued round is processed. In that state the card shows the Dreamer glyph beside the text 'SQUEEK NONE', whichever stance was chosen.

On-chain metadata is wrong for the whole pending period, which lasts longer under settlement lag. Accounting is not affected.

Controller calls enlist([1], 0) to choose STRIKER, then calls cardURI(1) before round E is processed. raider(1).data.stance is 4.

      Equivalent direct call: renderer.cardSVG(Card(1, 4, 0, false, true, false, false, 0, 0, 0, 0)).

Expected: no stance item, or the Striker item.

Actual: the SVG contains the Dreamer path 'M26 15h1v3h3v1h-3v3h-1v-3h-3v-1h3zM25 23h3v1h-3z'.

Fix: return "" from _item when stance is 4 or above.

  7. Audit mathAgent #890found 2 low

The math audit found two low-severity defects and nothing critical, high or medium. The accounting core matched an independent reference model exactly. Findings and coverage are in .imd-findings.json, the source tree is unchanged, and my scratch tests are deleted.

    Findings

Both have a Foundry proof that fails on the current code and passes with a candidate fix. I tried the fixes in a temporary copy, where the existing test suite still passed (44 passed, 1 skipped).

    #SeverityLocationDefect
1Lowsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:323if (runWork != 0) ignores a run that totals zero work. After a 12000-work run and then a 0-work run, lastRunWork stays 12000 instead of 0. A tier 0 boss with no party then gets 540,000,000 HP units instead of 45,000,000, which is 12 times too many.
2Lowsrc/RaiderCard.sol:154The internal stance NONE falls through to the Dreamer art. After enlistDemo(0), the card shows the Dreamer item and the text DEMO NONE until the enlist takes effect. Only the display is wrong.

Finding 1 hasn't happened on the live chain: all 206 active records on the Sepolia core through round 1222 have work of at least 3.

    What I checked

    • Math Precision: I walked the HP formula, W flooring, rescaling, the damage units, Scrap and Dream indices, score flooring, narrowing casts, subtractions and overflow. Text.base64 and Text.decimal are also correct, and all art rows are 16 wide.
    • Numerical Gap: a throwaway fuzz compared the contract against the reference model over 1,500 clean runs, covering settlement lag, KOs, burials, replaced changes, demos, Dreamers and zero-work rounds. Separate reachability checks confirmed it hit KO-cancelled changes, burials, blocked moves and repeated KOs.
    • Boundary: I traced CoreReader decoding and caps, the reads in bury and the controller check, the anchor, and the time and round edges.
    • Live data: real history replayed through the contract on a Sepolia fork up to round 1222, ending at the core's settled round and cumulative work. A 16-record page read estimates about 145k gas against the 500k read cap.

    Leads I didn't report

    • Gas cap: worst-case advance(64) measured about 37.6M gas and advance(128) about 77M, using 64 and 128 rounds that each had both a queued change and a wheel record. I suspected a 16.7M per-transaction cap would block these, but 30M-gas transactions are landing on Sepolia, so I dropped it.
    • Site reads: the website's advance(128) read could still fail on an RPC provider with a low eth_call gas limit, but only after a very long backlog of that kind. I didn't test provider limits, so check this when the site is built.
    • Forced burial by gas: this isn't feasible, because the gas left after a failed ownerOf read can't finish bury.

    Coverage and limits

All 9 listed entry points have a coverage row: advance is marked finding, the other 8 holds, and none unreached. I added five extra rows: the cardURI view, three invariants and the CoreReader boundary.

    • Mocks: the fuzz used mock contracts; only the replay and page-read checks used the real core.
    • Other reviewers' areas: I covered permissions, economics and control flow only where they touch the math.
    • Manifest: there is no launch.json in the tree yet, so I didn't review one.

    • lowA run with zero total work does not update lastRunWork, so the next boss is sized from the older runsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:323

The approved brief says that at each nap start lastRunWork stores the run's total work, and the README says an active record is a Wheel even if its work is zero. _idle uses runWork != 0 to mean 'a run happened', which treats a real run totalling 0 the same as no run since anchoring. The older value survives, and _summon sizes the next boss from it instead of clamping 0 up to 1000. This is a boundary and invariant seam: only the exact value 0 skips the update.

Reachability depends on the core publishing a zero-work active record: all 206 active records on the live Sepolia core through round 1222 had work of at least 3, so this has not occurred in the history so far.

      Anchor at round 0.

      Core records: wheel(round 1, work 12000), idle rounds 2-3, wheel(round 4, work 0), idle rounds 5-6.

After advance(128), expected lastRunWork() == 0, since the last run totalled 0; actual is 12000.

A boss summoned next at tier 0 with W=0 gets hpUnits 312000100150 = 540,000,000 instead of the clamped 31000100150 = 45,000,000, which is 12 times the HP.

Fix: track whether a Wheel has occurred since the last nap with a flag, and store runWork whenever that flag is set.

    • lowA raider whose enlist is still pending gets a card showing the Dreamer item, because stance NONE falls through to the Dreamer branchsrc/RaiderCard.sol:154

_item picks the stance art with a chain of comparisons whose final else has no stance == 3 check, so the internal sentinel NONE (4) draws the Dreamer item. SqueekRaider.cardURI passes r.stance (4) and enlisted = true for a registered raider until its Enlist change is applied, and _item only returns early when enlisted is false. The card's text and attributes say NONE while the art shows the Dreamer star in a level tint, whichever stance was chosen.

Only the displayed metadata is wrong; game accounting is unaffected.

With the game anchored, a wallet calls enlistDemo(0) (STRIKER, applied at round E).

      Immediately after, raider(id).data.stance == 4.

Decoding cardURI(id) gives an SVG that contains the Dreamer path 'M26 15h1v3h3v1h-3v3h-1v-3h-3v-1h3zM25 23h3v1h-3z' at byte offset 4049 and the text 'DEMO NONE'.

Expected: no Dreamer item for a raider with no applied stance.

The state lasts until round E is processed.

Fix: return an empty item when stance >= 4.

  8. Audit judgeAgent #809found 1 medium, 4 low

Review complete. The findings are in .imd-findings.json at the repository root, and the tree is otherwise unchanged (the findings file is gitignored, so git status is clean).

Outcome: all eight specialist findings reproduce; they collapse into five distinct defects, none above medium. The code holds no loss-of-funds or permission defects: there are no funds, no owner, and every privileged path I traced is guarded as the brief requires.

Findings kept, after merging and recalibration:

    1. Medium. Queued rounds cost about 312k gas per budget step, so after a settlement stall with 53 or more queued rounds, advance(64) and every write exceed the 2^24 per-transaction cap that Sepolia enforces. The flow specialist's proof fails on this code with the stated reason and is attached. Recovery is manual and permissionless, so medium rather than high.
    2. Low. A zero-work Wheel run does not update lastRunWork, so the next boss is sized from an older run. Three specialists reported this; merged into one, with the shortest proof attached.
    3. Low. The first nap after anchoring takes its move from a zero hash, so it is always FRENZY. Reproduced with my own test.
    4. Low. A raider with a pending enlist renders with the Dreamer item. Two specialists reported it; merged. Reproduced with my own test.
    5. Low. A KO before round E cancels a paid upgrade with no Scrap refund. The README documents this, so the author may keep it, but it should then appear in the HOW IT WORKS text.

My own pass over the entry points, the accounting seams (epoch snapshots, boundary splits, trophy and cancel paths), CoreReader validation and the manifest found nothing further. The project's own suite passes (82 tests). The coverage record answers all nine entry points plus the credit invariant and the manifest. Slither's equality, timestamp and weak-PRNG lines are the intended round arithmetic and formula and were dropped.

    • mediumQueued rounds cost ~312k gas per budget step, so advance(64) and every action exceed the 2^24 per-transaction gas cap after a settlement stall with ~53+ queued roundssrc/SqueekRaider.sol:290

_page budgets steps, not gas. A step at a queued round runs _applyQueued (new Boundary: bossId, 12 Index words and 4 packed epochs, ~14 fresh SSTOREs, plus 25 pendingDelta slot reads) before the round's wheel/idle work, about 312,000 gas measured. _beforeAction (line 569) hard-codes _advance(64) before every write and callers cannot lower it.

Once ~53 queued rounds are waiting (16,777,216 / 312,000), advance(64) and all eight other writes need ~20M gas, above the EIP-7825 per-transaction cap (2^24) enforced on Sepolia since Fusaka. The brief says advance 'never reverts' and the site's Advance button is fixed at advance(64); during that window every site write reverts out of gas until someone manually calls advance(n) with n below ~50 repeatedly. No state is corrupted and recovery is permissionless, so medium.

Reported by audit_flow; proof reproduced here (fails: 'advance(64) ran out of gas under the transaction cap', gas 27,839,847).

Fix: also stop the loops in _advance and _page on a gasleft() floor (e.g. && gasleft() > 2_000_000), and recheck runtime size, which is 24,416 bytes with 160 bytes of margin.

Anchor at round 0 at timestamp GENESIS.

      For r = 1..64, at GENESIS + 600*r + 1 a fresh wallet calls enlistDemo(r % 4), queuing distinct rounds 2..65.

The core then settles rounds 1..64, all active with work 1.

      Call advance(64) with 16,756,216 gas.

Expected: the call succeeds and processedThrough moves.

Actual: it reverts out of gas (needs ~20M); enlistDemo under the same gas cap also reverts, since it runs _advance(64) first.

    • lowA run whose Wheel rounds total zero work does not update lastRunWork, so the next boss is sized from an older runsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:323

The brief: 'at each nap start store lastRunWork = its total work (default 1600)' and bosses are sized from the previous run.

README line 48: 'An active record is Wheel even if its work is zero.' _idle uses runWork != 0 to mean 'a run happened', so a real run made only of zero-work active rounds leaves lastRunWork at the run before it (or the 1600 default). _summon then clamps the stale value instead of clamp(0)=1000: after a 12,000-work run followed by a zero-work run, the next boss gets 12x the HP the brief prescribes (540,000,000 vs 45,000,000 units at tier 0, W=0).

Reported identically by audit_economics, audit_math and write_foundry_tests; merged. All three proofs fail on this code. Zero-work active records have not appeared in the live core's history so far, so impact is a game-rules boundary, no funds.

Fix: track 'a Wheel was seen since the last nap' with a flag set in _wheel and store runWork (including 0) whenever it is set.

MockCore, anchor at round 0 with advance(128). core.wheel(1, 12000, 0); advance at round 1. core.settle(3); advance at round 3: nap starts, lastRunWork()==12000. core.wheel(4, 0, 0) (active, zero work); advance at round 4. core.settle(6); advance at round 6: a second nap starts after a run totalling 0.

Expected lastRunWork()==0 (next boss clamps to 1000).

      Actual 12000.

      Proof fails with '12000 != 0'.

    • lowThe first nap after anchoring derives its move from a zero hash, not the last Wheel round's dataHash, so it is always FRENZYsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:325

The brief defines the move as keccak256(last Wheel round dataHash, bossId) % 3. lastWheelHash is only written in _wheel (line 344) and the anchor path in _advance (lines 272-277) does not seed it, so any nap that starts before the contract has processed a Wheel uses bytes32(0). keccak256(abi.encode(bytes32(0), uint64(1))) % 3 == 0, so that nap is FRENZY whatever the hamster's real last round hashed to; if it reaches 18 rounds it KOs Strikers and players can know this before launch.

The live core spends most rounds idle, so anchoring during a nap is likely. Reported by audit_flow; reproduced with a scratch test (move 0 != expected 1). Fix is a scope decision: arm no move until a Wheel has been seen after anchoring, or read the last active record's dataHash when anchoring.

      MockCore.

      At GENESIS + 600*20: core.wheel(10, 500, H) with H chosen so keccak256(abi.encode(H, uint64(1))) % 3 == 1 (QUAKE); core.settle(12); game.advance(1) anchors at 12. core.settle(14); game.advance(1) starts a nap. pendingMove() expected (1, 2, false) from H; actual (0, 2, false) from the zero hash.

Settling idle through round 30 and a Wheel at 31 then lands FRENZY on Strikers instead of QUAKE on Foragers.

    • lowA raider whose enlist is still pending renders with the Dreamer item, because stance NONE (4) falls through to the Dreamer branchsrc/RaiderCard.sol:154

_item returns '' only when enlisted is false, and its last ternary branch has no stance == 3 check, so every stance other than 0, 1, 2 draws the Dreamer item. SqueekRaider.cardURI (line 848) passes r.stance, which is NONE (4), with enlisted = true from the enlist call until round E is processed.

The card then shows the Dreamer glyph in a level tint beside the text 'SQUEEK NONE' / 'DEMO NONE', whichever stance was chosen, for the whole pending period (longer under settlement lag). On-chain metadata only; accounting unaffected. Reported by audit_flow and audit_math; merged.

      Reproduced with a scratch test.

Fix: return '' from _item when stance >= 4.

      Anchor, then the controller of Squeek 1 calls enlist([1], 0) (STRIKER). raider(1).data.stance == 4. renderer.cardSVG(Card(1, 4, 0, false, true, false, false, 0, 0, 0, 0)) (what cardURI(1) builds) contains the Dreamer path 'M26 15h1v3h3v1h-3v3h-1v-3h-3v-1h3zM25 23h3v1h-3z'.

Expected: no stance item for a raider with no applied stance.

Actual: the Dreamer item is drawn.

    • lowA KO between submission and round E cancels a queued upgrade after its Scrap was taken, with no refund; a queued revive is never lost this waysrc/SqueekRaider.sol:518

upgrade() spends 10*2^L Scrap immediately (line 518) and queues a stance->same-stance change keyed by the raider's current epoch (line 519).

If that stance is KO'd in a round before E, _applyQueued skips the stale-epoch delta and _preview (lines 665-672) deletes the pending change with ChangeCancelled; nothing credits the Scrap back, so the controller loses both the level and the Scrap. revive() (20 Scrap) queues from NONE and is never cancelled this way, so the two paid actions behave asymmetrically. Under settlement lag the controller cannot see an unprocessed KO when submitting.

README line 59 documents 'no refund of already paid upgrade Scrap', but the brief only says 'paid now' and the HOW IT WORKS page must state it; the author should either refund on cancellation (r.scrap += 10 << (change.level - 1) in the cancel path, emitting ScrapCredited) or keep it and document it in the upgrade NatSpec and site. Reported by audit_permissions; reproduced with a scratch test. Scrap has no monetary value.

  9. Build contract projectAgent #14117 files changed

I fixed four of the five findings and disputed the fifth, keeping its behaviour and documenting it. The reviewer's proof now passes, with and without --isolate. Answers for all five are in .imd-responses.json, which git ignores through .git/info/exclude, presumably so the harness can collect it separately. I didn't commit anything, since the brief didn't ask me to; the changes are in the working tree.

    FindingVerdictWhat changed
Gas cap on queued rounds (medium)fixed_advance and _page now stop starting work after 10,000,000 gas spent or with 2,000,000 left, whichever comes first. A call that stops early still succeeds, and the next call picks up where it left off.
Zero-work run (low)fixedEach nap start now stores the run's total, including 0, so the next boss is sized at the 1000 minimum.
First nap uses a zero hash (low)fixedA nap before the first Wheel processed after anchoring has no move: no NapStarted, armed stays false and nothing lands. Burrow rewards still accrue.
Dreamer item on a pending raider (low)fixed_item draws nothing when the stance is above 3.
Scrap lost when a KO cancels an upgrade (low)disputedNo refund added: the brief says "paid now" and "a KO wins", and specifies no refund. The loss is now stated in the upgrade NatSpec and the README, including that the HOW IT WORKS page must say so.
    • Spend limit beyond the suggested fix: the reviewer suggested only the gas floor. I added the spend limit so the stopping point doesn't depend on a caller's higher gas limit, and so a 64-ID enlist still fits under the cap during a backlog.
    • Reviewer's expected value: for the first-nap finding, the reviewer expected pendingMove() to return (1, 2, false). It returns (0, 2, false) with no move in effect, because roundPage only pages forward and the last Wheel before anchoring can't be found in bounded work.
    • Low-gas calls: a call with under 2,000,000 gas may process no rounds, but its action still goes through. That can't change a past round, because every action takes effect at a future round.
    • Site work for later: the site needs to show no move while armed is false before the first Wheel, because move and cover() report unset defaults then. docs/API.md says so.

    Check results

    • Build and format: forge build and forge fmt --check pass.
    • Tests: forge test with the required seed shows 53 passed, 0 failed and 1 skipped. That count includes the proof copy in test/scratch/, so 52 are delivered tests, 8 of them new. The skip is the network-only fork suite in the offline run.
    • Fork suite: 2 of 2 pass at block 12059021 through the Tenderly RPC. PublicNode no longer serves that block and dRPC didn't respond, so I changed the README's fork command to use Tenderly.
    • ABIs: the exports are unchanged.
    • Not run: Slither and Mythril. The source adds no constructs from the rejected detector list.

    Runtime size

SqueekRaider runtime is now 24,542 bytes, only 34 bytes under the 24,576 limit. The first version of these fixes went over the limit. I got back under by moving repeated expressions into small helpers (_applies, _blocked, _seasonOf), with no behaviour change. Any further source change needs a new size check.

  10. ManifestAgent #7541 file changed

The manifest is done and verified. Only launch.json changed.

What I found. The accepted source changed since my last manifest round, but only inside SqueekRaider's runtime logic: a gas floor for advance, a guard against arming a move before the first processed Wheel, and small refactors. The constructor signature is still core, nft, staking, all addresses, so the contract list and arguments in the manifest remain correct and match the brief's three Squeekchain addresses and the deployment test.

What I changed. The notes now describe the constructor as it is in the accepted tree: it stores the three immutables, creates the RaiderCard renderer, and summons boss 1 from the default lastRunWork without any external call or chain read. That tells the reviewer why it deploys on the empty rehearsal chain. The contracts section is byte-for-byte what was accepted before.

    Verification.

    • The manifest has exactly the keys kind, contracts and notes, one contract with three string arguments, and notes well under the limit.
    • No owner argument exists, which matches the brief's "no owner, admin, pause, upgrade" requirement, and the deployment test confirms no owner() exists on the game.
    • Build succeeds. SqueekRaider runtime is 24,542 bytes, under the EIP-170 cap, and initcode is 33,907 bytes, under the factory's cap.
    • The full suite with the verifier's fuzz seed passed: 52 tests passed, 0 failed, 1 skipped. The skipped test is the Sepolia fork integration test, which skips by design without a fork URL.

Git status shows launch.json as the only modified file. Nothing else was touched, and no network dependencies were added.

The revised suite passes: forge build succeeds, and the seeded forge test gives 94 passed, 0 failed, with only the optional Sepolia fork suite skipped. The invariant ran 256 sequences of 96 calls with no reverts.

    What changed in this revision

    • Invariant oracle (test/invariant/RaiderHandler.sol, test/RaiderInvariant.t.sol): my invariant failed on the revised code because the oracle didn't know the new rule that a nap before the first processed Wheel has no move. The oracle now follows that rule. It also stores each finished run's total work, zero included, which the revision fixed after my earlier finding. After every call the invariant now also checks lastRunWork and pendingMove() (nap length and whether the move is armed).
    • New test/GasPartition.t.sol, testing the new gas-limited advance:
      • Processing a backlog of active, idle and queued rounds with random per-call gas limits, called directly or through actions, gives exactly the same result as processing one round at a time.
      • Every early stop resumes correctly.
      • A call with too little gas changes nothing and doesn't revert.
      • A single-ID action succeeds at every gas limit tested, and the round it takes effect in doesn't depend on how far processing got.
    • test/README.md: removed the old zero-work defect note (now fixed) and described the new tests and finding.

    Findings, in .imd-findings.json

    • Low, with a runnable proof: before each action, the round processing stops only when 2M gas is left (GAS_RESERVE), and that is all the action gets. A 64-ID enlist needs about 4M gas when no rounds are waiting. With 64 queued rounds waiting, it runs out of gas at every limit from 4M to 13.5M and only succeeds from 14M. So a gas estimate made while nothing is waiting turns into a failed transaction once the core settles a batch. Nothing is lost when this happens. The proof has two tests: the control (8M gas, no backlog) passes, and the backlog case fails. The suite does not treat this behaviour as correct. Single-ID actions are not affected.
    • Info: the brief says every nap gets a move, but the revision gives no move to a nap before the first processed Wheel. This is documented in the README. It's listed so the reviewer can confirm the requester accepts it.

The proof file was written in test/scratch/, which isn't submitted; its full source is embedded in the findings file. I haven't committed anything.

    • lowGas-bounded advance leaves only GAS_RESERVE (2M) for the action, so a full-batch action reverts out of gas during a backlog at limits that suffice without onesrc/SqueekRaider.sol:287

_advance sets floor = gasleft() - ADVANCE_GAS when more than 12M gas is supplied, otherwise floor = GAS_RESERVE (2,000,000), and keeps starting steps until gasleft() reaches the floor. Every action runs this first, then does its own work with what is left. A 64-ID enlist needs about 4.0M gas when nothing is behind.

During a settlement backlog, the inner advance uses everything above 2M, and the enlist then runs out of gas. Measured on the mocks with 64 queued active rounds behind: the call reverts at every limit from 1.0M to 13.5M and succeeds from 14.0M. Without a backlog it succeeds from 4.0M.

So an estimate taken while nothing is behind (or a wallet's fixed limit) becomes an out-of-gas revert as soon as the core settles a batch. Success is also non-monotonic in the gas limit: with a backlog, a limit just below 2M+action processes nothing and can succeed, while larger limits up to ADVANCE_GAS+action fail.

Single-ID actions fit the 2M reserve at every limit tested (GasPartitionTest.testSingleActionSucceedsAtEveryGasLimitDuringBacklog), so this affects batch actions only. No funds or accounting are affected; the transaction reverts atomically. A suggested fix is to reserve gas in proportion to the action's batch length (or skip the inner advance when gasleft() is below ADVANCE_GAS plus the action's own budget), so that any limit enough for the action alone still succeeds.

64 queued enlistDemo rounds (one per round, rounds 1..64), core settles rounds 1..64 as Wheels, then enlist(64 IDs, STRIKER) with gas 8,000,000.

Expected: succeeds, since the same call needs ~4.0M with no backlog (control test passes at 8M).

Actual: reverts out of gas because the inner advance stops only when 2,000,000 gas is left.

    • infoA nap before the first processed Wheel has no move (documented deviation from 'each nap: move')src/SqueekRaider.sol:336

The brief says every nap gets a move from the last Wheel's dataHash. The revision deliberately gives a nap before the first processed Wheel no move (wheelSeen false: no NapStarted, armed false, nothing lands), because the pre-anchor dataHash cannot be found with forward-only paging. The README documents this and tells the HOW IT WORKS page to state it.

The submitted invariant oracle models this rule and passes. It is listed so the reviewer can confirm the requester accepts it.

Anchor, enlist a Striker, settle 20 idle rounds, then a Wheel. pendingMove().armed stays false during the nap, and no KO happens on the Wheel even when keccak(0, bossId)%3 == 0.

  12. Audit judgeAgent #76found 1 low, 2 info

The review is settled and written to .imd-findings.json. No source file was changed.

Earlier findings, settled against the revised code

    • Gas cap after a backlog (medium): fixed. The gas floor in _advance and _page stops steps at 10M spent or 2M left. My attached proof and the flow specialist's proof both pass now, with and without the backlog of 64 queued rounds. Runtime is 24,542 bytes, 34 bytes under the limit.
    • Zero-work run not stored (low): fixed. A wheelSeen flag now stores run work including zero at nap start. All three proofs pass.
    • First nap uses a zero hash (low): fixed by the first option I offered: no move is armed until a Wheel has been processed. Traced and confirmed. Kept as an info row so the requester signs off on the deviation from "each nap: move".
    • Pending raider draws the Dreamer item (low): fixed. The renderer returns no item for a stance above 3. Proof passes.
    • Upgrade Scrap lost on a KO cancel (low): dropped as a defect. The author's reading of the brief is right and the rule is now in the NatSpec and README. Kept as an info row for the site stage.

One new low finding, from the independent tester and reproduced with a proof that fails on this code. During a backlog the inner advance leaves a batch action only the larger of 2M or the limit minus 10M. A 64-ID enlist needs about 3.8M alone and succeeds at 8M with nothing behind, but with 64 queued rounds it reverts at every limit from 1M to 13.5M and first succeeds at 14M. Single-ID actions are unaffected. The suggested fix is to size the reserve by the batch.

Other checks: the full suite passes (94 tests), the manifest's three constructor addresses match the brief in order, and the slither and aderyn lines are either the intended formula or non-reproducing style notes. Coverage answers all nine entry points: enlist, setStance, rest and poke point at the new finding, the rest hold.

    • lowDuring a settlement backlog the inner advance leaves a batch action only max(2M, limit-10M) gas, so a 64-ID enlist that fits in 8M alone reverts at every limit up to 13.5Msrc/SqueekRaider.sol:287

The gas floor added to fix the earlier medium finding stops _advance from starting steps once gasleft() reaches floor = gasleft()-ADVANCE_GAS when more than 12M gas was supplied, otherwise GAS_RESERVE (2,000,000). _beforeAction (line 590) runs _advance(64) before every action, so during a backlog the action itself gets only what is left above the floor: 2M at any limit up to 12M, and limit minus 10M above that.

A 64-ID enlist costs about 3.8M on its own and succeeds at an 8M limit when nothing is behind. With 64 queued rounds waiting, the same call reverts out of gas at every limit from 1.0M to 13.5M (measured in 500k steps) and first succeeds at 14.0M, where it processes 32 rounds and keeps 4M.

The gas a wallet estimated or a user set while nothing was behind therefore fails as soon as the core settles a batch, and the brief's 'run advance(64) before every action' makes the action's own budget depend on the backlog rather than on the action. Single-ID actions fit in the 2M reserve at every limit (test/GasPartition.t.sol testSingleActionSucceedsAtEveryGasLimitDuringBacklog), so only batch actions are affected: enlist, setStance, rest and poke with large batches.

The transaction reverts atomically, no state or funds are affected, and the user can recover by calling advance first or raising the limit, so low. Reported by write_foundry_tests; reproduced with the proof below.

Suggested minimal fix: size the floor by the action, for example floor = max(GAS_RESERVE, gasleft()/2) or GAS_RESERVE plus a per-ID allowance times the batch length passed into _beforeAction, so any limit that suffices for the action alone still suffices during a backlog. Runtime size is 24,542 bytes with 34 bytes of margin, so the change must be small.

Mocks from test/mocks, vm.warp(GENESIS), alice owns Squeeks 1..64, game.advance(1) anchors at round 0.

      For r = 1..64, at GENESIS + 600r + 1 a fresh wallet calls enlistDemo(r % 4), queuing rounds 2..65. core.wheel(r, 1, hash) for r = 1..64, core.settle(64), warp to GENESIS + 65600 + 1. alice calls enlist([1..64], 0) with gas 8,000,000.

Expected: success, since the same call with no backlog uses 3,786,813 gas and succeeds at 8M (control test).

Actual: the call reverts out of gas and processedThrough stays 0; it reverts at every limit from 1,000,000 to 13,500,000 and succeeds from 14,000,000.

    • infoA nap that starts before the first Wheel processed after anchoring has no move; this is a documented deviation from the brief's 'each nap: move' that the requester should acceptsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:336

This settles the earlier low finding that the first nap after anchoring took its move from a zero hash. The author chose the option of arming no move until a Wheel has been processed: _idle stores nothing and emits no NapStarted while wheelSeen is false, _wheel (line 355) does not land a move while wheelSeen is false, and pendingMove() reports armed false.

Traced and confirmed: the zero-hash FRENZY is gone, Burrow rewards still accrue during such a nap, and the next nap after a processed Wheel uses that Wheel's dataHash. The brief says every nap gets a move from the last Wheel round's dataHash, and the contract cannot find a pre-anchor dataHash with forward-only paging, so a nap in progress at launch (likely, since the live core is mostly idle) lands nothing even if it reaches 18 rounds.

README line 50 and docs/API.md line 36 document this and tell the site to show no move. Not a defect in the code; listed so the requester signs off on the rule. Reported by write_foundry_tests as info.

      MockCore.

      At GENESIS + 600*20: core.wheel(10, 500, H) with keccak256(abi.encode(H, uint64(1))) % 3 == 1; core.settle(12); game.advance(1) anchors at 12. core.settle(14); game.advance(1): a nap starts. pendingMove() returns (0, 2, false) and no NapStarted is emitted.

Settle idle through round 30 and a Wheel at 31: no MoveLanded, no KO.

Expected by the brief's wording: move 1 from H landing on Foragers; actual by the documented rule: no move.

    • infoA KO processed between an upgrade's submission and its round E forfeits the paid Scrap along with the level; kept as a documented rule, not a defectsrc/SqueekRaider.sol:530

This settles the earlier low finding on upgrade cancellation. The behaviour still reproduces (upgrade spends at line 539, the stale-epoch cancel path in _preview lines 686-693 credits nothing back, existing test testPaidUpgradeCanceledByEarlierKOHasNoPhantomPower covers it). The author disputed it as a design rule: the brief says 'paid now' and 'a KO wins' and specifies no refund, and revive queues from NONE so it has no stale epoch.

That reading is correct and I had offered documenting as an acceptable resolution, so the finding is dropped as a defect. The rule is now in the upgrade NatSpec (lines 529-530) and README line 59, which also states that the HOW IT WORKS page must say so; the site is a later stage. Scrap has no monetary value.

As before: alice enlists Squeek 1 as STRIKER, earns 11 Scrap over Wheel rounds 2..12 whose last dataHash gives FRENZY, 18 idle rounds arm the move, poke([1]) at live round 31, upgrade(1) spends 10 Scrap and queues level 1 for E=32, Wheel 31 lands FRENZY and KOs Strikers, Wheel 32, poke([1]).

Result: ko true, level 0, scrap 1, ChangeCancelled.

This is the documented behaviour; no change is required unless the requester wants a refund.

Recorded four reproducible findings in .imd-findings.json. Implementation and export remain unchanged.

    • High — bug: Two card renders exhaust the snapshot’s 16,000,000-gas budget, blocking real-Squeek play. At Sepolia block 12060007, Squeek #1 plus its wallet’s demo failed; the identical snapshot succeeded with card rendering omitted.
    • Medium — bug: Refresh does not retry failed wallet inventory requests.
    • Medium — bug: Read timeouts incorrectly tell visitors to check a transaction hash.
    • Medium — bug: Pending transaction feedback disappears on How it works and Leaderboards.

Build/typecheck passed in a temporary copy. All 16 asset hashes, deployment fields, pinned ABI bytes and canonical ABI hash verified. Configured RPC returned chain 11155111 and 24,542 bytes of game code. Recovery findings were reproduced through source/DOM interactions. Fresh Chromium/WebKit checks could not complete because browser startup failed; supplied browser evidence is distinguished below.

The visual idea is a cooperative hamster raid presented as a dark board, carried by pixel animals and a prominent health bar.

The five missing requirement groups below share the single gas-budget defect. “Met, inherited” identifies accepted contract-stage evidence, not a new security audit.

    • highbug: two card renders exhaust the snapshot gas budget and block Squeek playweb/src/chain.ts:117

Now: readSnapshot includes cardURI for every ID in the same 16,000,000-gas aggregate as the gameplay views. App.tsx adds the connected wallet’s deterministic demo ID to its inventory, so even one real Squeek produces two expensive card renders. A read-only call against the handed-off deployment fails out of gas with those two IDs; the whole snapshot is lost and verified becomes false, disabling game actions. allowFailure does not reserve gas for the enclosing multicall.

Change to: Keep the coherent advance(128)-then-gameplay-views aggregate, remove cardURI rendering from that required state batch, and load/cache cards in individually bounded read-only calls. An artwork failure must leave the snapshot and eligible actions usable. Verify the one-real-Squeek-plus-demo and six-Squeek cases against the real renderer, rather than the tiny card string in the RPC fixture.

Why: The brief requires connected Squeeks, including staked ones, to display their cards/state and support enlist/stance/upgrade/revive. The current read path blocks that required mode before any wallet signature.

390×844, #/squeeks: connect a wallet whose inventory includes Squeek #1; App.tsx:1385–1392 also includes its demo ID.

Concrete read-only reproduction on chain 11155111, contract 0x21941f54b7a405f1e6864cf46e3ae908c0ae2635, PublicNode at block 12060007: call the unchanged readSnapshot with ids=[1n,57896044618658097711785492504855117031729404788394533741553272454381838270292n] (demo ID for 0x598958abf7d8db8dd468cb53dd6ba705581bff54), preserving the 16,000,000 gas limit.

Actual: RPC error "out of gas: gas required exceeds: 16000000".

At the same pinned block, the identical snapshot with cardIds=[] succeeded with both raiders, and cardIds=[1n] succeeded with both raiders and one card.

Separate reads of 2, 3 and 6 real cards also failed, while all 6 raider views with cardIds=[] succeeded.

Expected: a loaded wallet inventory and enabled eligible actions, with art handled independently.

No transaction was signed or broadcast; this is a real configured-RPC reproduction, independent of browser layout.

    • mediumbug: Refresh never retries a failed wallet inventory requestweb/src/App.tsx:1500

Now: After the account API fails, My Squeeks asks the visitor to retry, but Refresh only refetches snapshot, events, ownership and verification. The failed inventory query remains mounted with no polling and no focus refetch, so the wallet stays empty after the service recovers.

Change to: Include inventory.refetch() in refresh() when a wallet is connected, and retry the existing rest-candidates query on My Squeeks so both inventory error notices clear. Keep the current lookup fallback.

Why: The required wallet inventory must recover from an ordinary read failure; an explicit Refresh control must retry the data that the page says is unavailable.

      390×844, #/squeeks.

Use the supplied web/tests/fixtures.ts mockApp with {inventoryFail:true}; connect the test browser wallet and allow the initial query plus retry to finish.

Restore the accounts endpoint to its normal successful response, then click Refresh.

Expected: Squeek #1 appears and the inventory error clears.

Actual in an isolated DOM interaction replay of the source: account requests stayed 4 before/4 after Refresh, the Squeekchain-is-unavailable notice remained, and there were 0 Squeek #1 headings.

The mocked RPC block and event hash stayed constant to isolate the retry.

      No transaction was sent.

The defect is independent of viewport; fresh browser startup was blocked by the review environment.

    • mediumbug: read timeouts claim that a transaction awaits confirmationweb/src/errors.ts:68

Now: friendlyError maps every error containing timeout or timed out to a transaction-confirmation warning. Inventory and other read failures use this same function, so a failed read tells visitors to keep a transaction hash they never received.

Change to: Return "The request timed out. Refresh to retry." for generic read timeouts. Keep confirmation and explorer instructions in the existing transaction receipt handler, where a submitted hash is known.

Why: Error states must describe only what the application knows and offer an action the visitor can actually take; a read timeout does not establish that a transaction exists.

      390×844, #/squeeks.

Connect the supplied mock wallet and have /v1/accounts/{address} reject with new DOMException("The operation was aborted due to timeout", "TimeoutError"), the failure generated when the 12,000 ms timeout in web/src/data.ts expires.

Let its configured retry finish, without clicking a game action.

An isolated DOM interaction replay of the source produced the warning "Confirmation could not be checked yet.

Keep the transaction hash and check its explorer status before retrying." twice (inventory and Rest all), with 0 wallet sends.

Calling friendlyError with that same exception separately returned the identical warning.

Expected: a read-timeout/retry message without a transaction hash.

This is a width-independent source/DOM reproduction; fresh browser startup was unavailable on the review machine.

    • mediumbug: pending transaction feedback disappears on two routesweb/src/App.tsx:1613

Now: TransactionStatus is rendered only inside Raid and My Squeeks. Navigating to How it works or Leaderboards during a pending transaction removes its status and explorer link, although the transaction continues. An unknown receipt also loses its Check receipt control on those routes.

Change to: Mount one TransactionStatus in the shared App content below the selected route, and remove the two route-specific instances. Keep the existing transaction state/provider and signing logic.

Why: Visitors can use the always-available navigation while waiting for a receipt; they should retain pending/error feedback and the existing receipt recovery control.

      390×844.

Use the supplied mockApp fixture with {receiptDelay:120} (30-second mocked receipt delay).

Connect its test wallet on Raid, click Play free, and confirm that Transaction pending and View transaction appear.

Navigate to How it works, then Leaderboards, before the receipt arrives.

An isolated DOM interaction replay measured one .transaction-status.has-status on Raid, zero on Rules, zero on Leaderboards, and one again on returning to Raid; the mock recorded one send and no real transaction was broadcast.

Expected: pending status and its explorer link remain available throughout navigation.

Fresh browser startup was blocked by the review environment.

  16. Frontend for contractAgent #19176 files changedsent back

I couldn't finish this revision. The shell failed on every attempt (about 8 tries) with Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets after 5 attempts. Restart to retry. Running outside the sandbox is turned off. The browser tool failed too: Chromium distribution 'chrome' is not found at /opt/google/chrome/chrome.

So I couldn't install dependencies, typecheck, build, run tests, run the design probe, rebuild dist/ or regenerate dist/imd-deployment.json. I also couldn't run the reviewer's out-of-gas call against the RPC. Nothing I changed has been compiled or run.

What's in the working tree (not built, not tested):

    • Card renders block play (high): readSnapshot in web/src/chain.ts no longer includes any cardURI reads. A new readCard loads one card per call with its own 16M gas limit, first after the advance(128) preview and, if that doesn't fit, from saved state. RaiderCard in web/src/App.tsx loads its card in a separate cached query. A failed card shows the placeholder hamster and doesn't affect game state or actions.
    • Refresh doesn't retry inventory: refresh() now also refetches the wallet inventory when a wallet is connected, and the rest-all list on My Squeeks.
    • Read timeouts mention a transaction: in web/src/errors.ts, only receipt-wait errors still mention a transaction hash. Other timeouts, including the TimeoutError raised when the fetch timeout expires, now say "The request timed out. Refresh to retry."
    • Pending status disappears: Raid and My Squeeks keep their status panel beside their controls. Every other route now shows the shared status panel below its content, with the explorer link and Check receipt. This is slightly different from the reviewer's suggestion of one shared panel, so the status stays near the buttons on those two pages.
    • Tests: web/tests/fixtures.ts now fails any batch with two card renders, as the real renderer does, plus a cardFail option, per-batch call records and an inventory request counter. web/tests/interactions.spec.ts has five new tests, one or more per finding.

What's out of date as a result: dist/ and its manifest still hold the previous build, so the exported site still has all four bugs and no longer matches the source. I also haven't written .imd-responses.json or updated the validation docs, since a "fixed" verdict would be untrue without a rebuild and a test run. If this tree is submitted as it is, it shouldn't be accepted.

To finish once the shell works: run npm ci --prefix web, then npm run build --prefix web (which typechecks, builds and regenerates the manifest), npm run check:export --prefix web and npm test --prefix web. Then run the reviewer's two-ID and six-ID reads against the RPC, update docs/FRONTEND-VALIDATION.md, and write the four responses.

    • highbug: the committed static export omits all four review fixesweb/package.json:9

Now: The four fixes exist in web/src/, but dist/index.html still loads assets/index-D7hgpSRp.js from the preceding revision. That export still includes cardURI in the required snapshot, skips both inventory retries, uses transaction-confirmation text for read timeouts, and has no transaction status on Rules or Leaderboards.

Change to: Run the existing web build on this revision, commit the resulting dist/ files and regenerated dist/imd-deployment.json, then run the regression tests against those exact exported files.

Why: The brief requires a committed static export of the finished frontend. The publisher serves dist/, so the source fixes currently do not reach visitors; the required connected-Squeek mode remains blocked before signing.

390×844. Run node web/scripts/serve.mjs and use web/tests/fixtures.ts mockApp for the following read-only/mock-wallet checks against the committed dist/.

      1. At #/squeeks, connect account 0x598958abf7d8db8dd468cb53dd6ba705581bff54 with Squeek #1. Actual: two cardURI calls in the required 16,000,000-gas aggregate, zero Squeek headings, "Game state is unavailable; actions are disabled", and no enabled upgrade. With apiSecondPage:true the aggregate contains seven cards and the inventory is also unavailable. Independently replaying the exported two-ID algorithm against contract 0x21941f54b7a405f1e6864cf46e3ae908c0ae2635 on Sepolia, https://ethereum-sepolia-rpc.publicnode.com at block 12060007, returns "out of gas: gas required exceeds: 16000000" for ids=[1,57896044618658097711785492504855117031729404788394533741553272454381838270292].
      2. With inventoryFail:true, wait for both initial inventory queries and retries, restore the endpoint, then click Refresh: account requests stay 4→4, Squeek #1 headings stay zero, and both API error notices remain.
      3. Reject /v1/accounts/ fetches with new DOMException("The operation was aborted due to timeout","TimeoutError"): the page asks visitors to keep a transaction hash despite zero wallet sends.
      4. On Raid use receiptDelay:120 and an empty successful account inventory to isolate pending feedback; click Play free with the mock wallet, then visit How it works and Leaderboards before the mock receipt: status/explorer counts are 1/1 on Raid, 0/0 on Rules, 0/0 on Leaderboards, and 1/1 when returning. One mock send, no real broadcast. Expected: all four source corrections reach the delivered website. A fresh build made outside the repository passes these exact browser reproductions: one/six Squeek headings appear, card batches contain at most one render, Refresh requests increase 4→7 and errors clear, timeouts say "The request timed out. Refresh to retry.", and every route retains exactly one status and explorer link. At pinned block 12060007 the current source also reads all seven raiders and all seven individual real cards successfully. All 16 manifest hashes match the old export; that confirms integrity but does not detect that dist/ was never rebuilt.
  18. Frontend for contractAgent #21616 files changed2 attempts

the task produced no changes; the agent's last message was: I couldn't fix this, and nothing in the repository has changed. Every shell command failed before running, including echo ok and pwd, with:

Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets after 5 attempts. Restart to retry. Running it outside the sandbox (dangerouslyDisableSandbox) is not allowed either.

The finding (bbd8f24c…) is real. I checked it by searching the files directly:

    • web/src/errors.ts:78 has the corrected timeout message, "The request timed out. Refresh to retry."
    • The committed dist/assets/index-D7hgpSRp.js, which dist/index.html loads, doesn't contain it. The only "timed out" text in that bundle comes from a library (viem).
    • So dist/ was built before the source fixes and visitors are still getting the old version.

The fix: from web/, run npm ci && npm run build. That typechecks, builds with Vite and regenerates dist/imd-deployment.json using web/scripts/manifest.mjs. Then delete the stale dist/assets/* bundles, run npm run check:export and the existing tests, and commit dist/. All of that needs a working shell. A Vite bundle can't be written by hand, and editing the minified files would leave them out of step with the manifest hashes.

    What I left alone:

    • I didn't write .imd-responses.json. A "fixed" answer would be false without a rebuilt export, and the finding is valid, so no other answer fits.
    • I didn't write .imd-blocked.json either. It's for questions only the requester can answer, and the rules say a broken tool on this machine is never one.

Rerunning on a machine where the sandbox starts should let the rebuild go through, followed by the response that marks the finding fixed.

Rebuilt dist/ from the corrected source, regenerated the manifest, and recorded the finding as fixed in .imd-responses.json.

Build, typecheck, asset-hash verification and read-only chain checks passed. Browser validation was blocked by startup failures. Git metadata is read-only, so the changes remain uncommitted in the working tree.

The previous high finding is fixed. The committed export loads index-DDK-psNm.js and contains all four corrections. .imd-findings.json contains {"findings":[]}. Application files remain unchanged.

Both browser suites pass: 60 checks total, using committed export bytes and mocked wallet transactions. Runtime accommodations stayed outside the repository.

    Previous issueResult
Card rendering blocks required stateFixed. Seven raiders load; each card uses a separate bounded read. Independently confirmed at Sepolia block 12060007.
Refresh skips inventory retriesFixed. Restoring the endpoint and clicking Refresh recovers inventory and clears errors.
Read timeout implies a transactionFixed. Displays “The request timed out. Refresh to retry.” with zero wallet sends.
Pending status disappears between routesFixed. Exactly one status and explorer link remain on every route.

An isolated build reproduced the committed export byte for byte. Typecheck, canonical ABI verification, pinned ABI comparison, deployment binding, and all 16 asset hashes passed. Read-only Sepolia checks confirmed chain ID, deployed code, immutable dependencies, and successful state reads.

At 390×844, Play free occupies y=694–739. The live-data screen shows the owl, HP bar, wallet, and action without horizontal overflow. The probe found no overlap, clipping, contrast, or target-spacing failures. Its sole flag is uppercase “TEST NETWORK”, expressly required by the brief.

The frontend requirement inventory is below; deployed-contract implementation and security auditing remain prior-stage context.
