The site is in good shape: it meets every requirement in the brief, all 16 probe checks pass, and the product and its buy button are on the first phone screen. I found one real bug: at phone widths the FAQ heading reads "Before youget building." Nothing is high, so nothing reopens the build. The six findings are in
.imd-findings.jsonand I changed no other files.Area Count Brief requirements 7: 6 met, 1 after review, 0 missing, 0 faked Broken features 0 (1 visible text bug, finding 1) Product on the first screen at 390 yes taste@1 checks passed 16 / 16 Copy findings 3 (2 medium, 1 low) Share card yes: title, favicon, description, og:title, og:image 1200×630 Requirements

<details name="faq">entries atindex.html:106-121. - "Static site, fast, works on a phone": met. A Vite static export with one local font and no network requests. There's no sideways scrolling at 320, 390 or 1440. Hosting comes after review.
- The buy link answers with an HTTP 402 payment-required response, which takes payment as the brief says. That's the seller's checkout, so it isn't a finding.
The idea: a calm, book-like sales page for a $9 playbook, carried by one device, the orange crescent moon (logo, cover, accent) on night-ink and paper colours. The arrow-and-rule caption is the one thing that competes with it.
Findings
- Medium, bug: "Before youget building." at 320 and 390 (
index.html:102). The heading has no space before its<br>, andsrc/styles.css:187hides that break on phones, so the two words join. I measured this in Chromium at both widths. Fix: add a space before<br />. - Medium, copy: the product subtitle "The guide from idea to first sale." repeats the headline right above it (
index.html:41). Replace it with "Three steps: pick the idea, build it with NIGHTSHIFT, launch it." - Medium, copy: the audience heading "Big idea. After-hours energy." never names the audience (
index.html:86). Change it to "For side-hustlers / and indie builders." It's also one of six slogan-style lines on the page. - Low, taste: the caption under the cover, "A little direction goes a long way.", has an arrow and underline like a link but goes nowhere (
index.html:52). Delete it; the cover stays centred. - Low, fidelity: the page calls the Checker only a "digital guide" (
index.html:108). The brief's buy link describes it as a browser checker tool ("paste in your work and see exactly what to fix"). I kept this low because the brief itself says "guide". The replacement wording is in the findings file. - Low, copy: the page title and og:title contain an em dash (
index.html:7,index.html:10). Change both to "NIGHTWATCH: from side idea to first sale".
Limits: this machine has no WebKit browser, so I only checked the page in Chromium and couldn't test Safari. The page uses no CSS that WebKit lacks:
<details name>needs Safari 17.2 or later, and older Safari just lets more than one FAQ answer stay open. The probe's screenshots in

Now: the heading is
Before you<br />get building.with no space before the , and src/styles.css:187.faq-intro h2 br { display: none; }hides the break at max-width 48rem, so the words fuse into "Before youget building." on every phone.Change to:
<h2 id="faq-heading">Before you <br />get building.</h2>(a space before the ), leaving the CSS as it is.Why: a visible typo in a section heading on the phone layout the brief asks for ("works on a phone").
Width 320 and 390 (any width up to 768px).
Serve dist/ over HTTP, open index.html, scroll to the FAQ.
Measured in Chromium: getComputedStyle(#faq-heading br).display = "none", #faq-heading innerText = "Before youget building." at both 320 and 390; the element screenshot shows "Before youget building." on one line.
At 1440 the renders and the heading reads correctly.
copy: product subtitle repeats the headline right above itindex.html:41
Now: under h1 "From side idea to first sale." the product block says "The guide from idea to first sale.", and the cover art repeats it a third time ("The idea-to-first-sale playbook.").
Change to:
<p class="product-format">Three steps: pick the idea, build it with NIGHTSHIFT, launch it.</p>(the page's own three steps, so it stays true). Why: a line that repeats a title is cut by the copy rule; the slot just above the $9.00 button should say what the buyer gets, not echo the hero.
Width 390, first screen: the h1 at y≈110-200 reads "From side idea to first sale." and the .product-format line at y≈368 reads "The guide from idea to first sale."
(test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png).
Same at 1440.
copy: the audience section headline never names the audienceindex.html:86
Now: the section that carries the brief's "who it is for" is headed "Big idea. After-hours energy.", two adjective beats that could sit on any product; the audience only appears in the paragraph under it. It is also one of six voice lines on the page (hero, "Less figuring it out.
More getting it built.", this one, "Before you get building.", "A little direction goes a long way.", "For the ideas that keep you up.").
Change to:
<h2 id="audience-heading">For side-hustlers<br />and indie builders.</h2>and keep the paragraph and checklist unchanged. Why: the brief asks the page to say who it is for; a noun beats an adjective, and section headlines on a marketing page follow the hero pair rule.
Width 390 and 1440: scroll to the dark section.
Its h2 (#audience-heading) reads "Big idea.
After-hours energy."; the probe's slogans check lists it as a two-beat line ("Big idea.
After-hours energy." in .audience-heading).
taste: the cover caption is drawn as a link (arrow and rule) but goes nowhereindex.html:52
Now: under the cover art a figcaption "A little direction goes a long way." sits on a bottom border with a right arrow at the far edge, the same arrow-and-underline shape the page uses for links, but it holds no and does nothing when tapped.
Change to: delete the (line 52) and its rules at src/styles.css:97, 149 and 172; the cover stays centred in .hero-art and the 1440 hero loses ~60px of height.
Why: a decorative line that looks like a control invites a dead tap, and it is one more slogan in a stack of six.
Width 390: scroll 1 screen down to below the cover; tap the arrow at the right of "A little direction goes a long way."
Measured: figcaption contains 0 / elements, cursor "auto"; nothing happens.
Visible in test/scratch/taste/shots/390-full.png and 1440-full.png under the cover.
fidelity: the page never says what the Checker does, and calls it only a "digital guide"index.html:108
Now: the FAQ answer, the purchase note ("Digital guide") and the book cover present NIGHTWATCH Checker only as a guide. The brief's own buy link describes the product as "A checker ... paste in your work and see exactly what to fix. A browser tool (you get its address in a Markdown file)".
Change to:
<div class="faq-answer"><p>A $9.00 checker from NIGHTWATCH for beginners building with NIGHTSHIFT's AI CEO: paste in your work and see exactly what to fix next, from idea to first sale. After checkout you get its address in a Markdown file.</p></div>, and line 46 toOne-time purchase · Browser tool. Why: the brief says to show "the products"; a buyer who pays $9 for a "digital guide" and receives a link to a checker tool will feel misled. Kept low because the brief's audience line itself says "guide".
curl -sL https://getnightshift.tech/buy/nightwatch-981/1b0e973b-c9d0-44fe-8818-537f30c11a21 (2026-10-26) returns HTTP 402 with resource.description "NIGHTWATCH Checker: A checker for ... : paste in your work and see exactly what to fix.
A browser tool (you get its address in a Markdown file)".
Page at any width: FAQ "What is NIGHTWATCH Checker?" answers "A $9.00 digital guide ..."; .purchase-note reads "One-time purchase · Digital guide".
copy: em dash in the page title and og:title that every share showsindex.html:7
Now:
<title>NIGHTWATCH — From side idea to first sale</title>, and the same string in og:title on line 10. Change both toNIGHTWATCH: from side idea to first sale. Why: no em dashes in interface text; the tab and the link unfurl are the first text many visitors see.
Any width: document.title = "NIGHTWATCH — From side idea to first sale"; the probe's share check prints title "NIGHTWATCH — From side idea to first sale".
