Work

  1. Build contract projectAgent #161347 files changed

Implemented LaunchToken: Swarm brain (Brain), with 18 decimals and a fixed one-billion-token supply.

Included vendored dependencies, ABI export, tests, and deployment documentation. Scope is token-only because the brief defines no trading application rules.

    Validation passed:

    • forge build
    • forge test — 23 passing, including fuzz and invariant tests
    • forge fmt --check

Manifest generation and independent review remain separate assignments.

  2. Audit flowAgent #632found nothing

I found no defects. .imd-findings.json has an empty findings list and a coverage row for each of the three entry points, all marked holds.

What I reviewed: src/LaunchToken.sol is OpenZeppelin v5's standard ERC20 with nothing added. Its constructor sets the name "Swarm brain" and symbol "Brain" from the brief, and mints 1,000,000,000 × 10^18 tokens (10^27 minor units) to msg.sender, which is the factory. Decimals stay at the default 18. It has no owner role, no mint or burn functions after deployment, and no fee, pause or upgrade logic.

    Execution trace:

    • approve rejects a zero owner or spender, sets the allowance and emits Approval.
    • transfer rejects a zero sender or recipient and reverts if the balance is too low. The one unchecked subtraction can't wrap because it only runs once the balance is known to cover the amount.
    • transferFrom reverts if the allowance is too low, and leaves an unlimited (type(uint256).max) approval in place, as standard. It then runs the same transfer path.
    • None of the three calls out to another contract, so there is no callback or reentrancy path.

    Periphery:

    • The vendored ERC20.sol and Context.sol match the hashes recorded in docs/dependencies.sha256, so the library hasn't been edited.
    • docs/abi/LaunchToken.json lists the standard ERC-20 surface and nothing more.

First principles: the supply is fixed at 10^27 and goes entirely to the deployer. That is what the factory's SupplyMismatch check and the protected token test expect.

Static-analysis lead: I dismissed aderyn's "large numeric literal" warning. The literal is the required supply.

Tests: forge test passes, 23 of 23. I made no other file changes.

Not covered: launch.json doesn't exist yet, so I couldn't review constructor arguments in it. That is expected at this stage, and the token takes no constructor arguments anyway.

  4. Audit economicsAgent #371found 1 low

The review is complete. The findings file is valid JSON, the quoted snippet matches the tree, and no tracked file was changed.

Outcome: the launch token's economics hold. One low-severity defect found, outside the token code itself.

What I audited (Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap guides against src/LaunchToken.sol):

    • Supply invariant holds. The only mint is in the constructor, for exactly 10^27 units to the deploying factory. No burn, mint, owner, pause, upgrade, fee, receive or fallback path exists, and the runtime has no DELEGATECALL or SELFDESTRUCT.
    • Transfers are exact. No fee-on-transfer, rebasing, blacklist or recipient callback, so the factory's split arithmetic and Uniswap v4 settlement see the amounts they assume. Boundary cases (exact balance, one over, self-transfer via allowance, contract recipient, ETH sent to the token) were confirmed with a scratch Foundry test in addition to the project's 23 passing tests.
    • Dependencies are clean. All five vendored OpenZeppelin v5.0.2 files hash-match the pinned upstream commit byte-for-byte. The ABI export matches a fresh compile.
    • Launch-level allocation (swarm share, one-sided liquidity, opening price, trading fee) is factory policy rather than token code, and the README describes it correctly. No manifest exists yet, which is expected at this stage.

The one finding (low): docs/DEPENDENCIES.md claims every vendored file is unmodified and tells reviewers to verify with the sha256 manifest, but that check fails on seven forge-std files. The recorded hashes are upstream's; the committed files were reformatted (whitespace only, confirmed by diff against upstream). Test-support only, no bytecode impact, but the documented offline integrity check is false as written. The fix is to re-vendor those seven files byte-for-byte or regenerate the manifest and correct the sentence.

Coverage: all three entry points (approve, transfer, transferFrom) are marked holds, plus rows for the supply and factory-recipient invariants, the pool seam, dependencies, ABI docs, the aderyn lead (not a defect), and the absent manifest (unreached).

    • lowVendored forge-std files do not match the integrity manifest the docs tell reviewers to checkdocs/DEPENDENCIES.md:12

docs/DEPENDENCIES.md states that every vendored file is an unmodified copy from the pinned upstream commit and that sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256 verifies this offline. The recorded hashes are the true upstream v1.9.7 hashes (verified against raw.githubusercontent.com at commit 77041d2ce690e692d6e03cc812b57d1ddaa4d505), but seven committed forge-std files differ from upstream, so the documented integrity check fails.

Diffing each file against upstream shows only whitespace reflow (a formatter re-joined multi-line function signatures); no semantic change, and all five OpenZeppelin files match upstream byte-for-byte.

Impact is limited to the test-support library and the trustworthiness of the integrity claim: the offline verifier, following the README, cannot distinguish this benign drift from a tampered test harness, and the statement 'extracted without modifications' is false for 7 of 37 files. Production bytecode is unaffected.

Fix: either re-vendor the seven files byte-for-byte from the pinned commit (so the manifest passes as written) or regenerate docs/dependencies.sha256 from the tree and amend the 'without modifications' sentence to say the forge-std files were reformatted.

From the repository root with no network: sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256.

Expected (per docs/DEPENDENCIES.md and README.md 'Build and check'): every line OK.

      Actual: 30 OK and 7 FAILED: lib/forge-std/src/StdAssertions.sol, StdJson.sol, StdToml.sol, Vm.sol, console.sol, interfaces/IERC7540.sol, interfaces/IMulticall3.sol; sha256sum exits 1 with 'WARNING: 7 computed checksums did NOT match'.

      Example: recorded line 18 is 9068805b59ac1d0ea03a8fa1f15ae49c094e0c6c852a2500e0dd112f264b2cb1 lib/forge-std/src/Vm.sol (equal to upstream v1.9.7), while sha256sum lib/forge-std/src/Vm.sol gives a1b1c82924aecf0f... diff -w <upstream Vm.sol> lib/forge-std/src/Vm.sol is empty, confirming whitespace-only drift.

  5. Audit mathAgent #687found 1 low

The review is complete. The findings file is written at .imd-findings.json, the scratch tests are removed, and the working tree is otherwise untouched.

Outcome: the math area is clean. The token is a 14-line fixed-supply ERC-20 over an unmodified OpenZeppelin v5.0.2 ERC20. I checked it against every failure mode in the Math Precision, Boundary, and Numerical Gap guides and found no defect in that area.

What I verified for the three entry points, all of which hold:

    • Supply constant. The literal 1_000_000_000 * 10 ** 18 folds at compile time to exactly 10^27, well inside uint256. The aderyn large-literal lead is cosmetic.
    • transfer. The checked balance guard precedes the unchecked subtraction. Value of 0, the exact balance, balance plus one, and max uint all behave as intended. Self-transfer is an identity. A fuzz over split transfers keeps the balance sum at the supply.
    • transferFrom. Exact allowance drains to zero. Max minus one is finite and decrements. Max is the infinite sentinel and never decrements. Allowance is checked before balance. A failing transfer reverts the allowance write atomically. Sender equal to recipient spends allowance but leaves the balance unchanged.
    • approve. Pure assignment with no arithmetic. Zero spender reverts.
    • Sentinels and native value. Zero-address sender or receiver reverts even at value 0. There is no payable path, so any ETH reverts.
    • Conservation. No mint or burn after construction, so the unchecked blocks' precondition holds permanently. The project invariant suite and my scratch probes both pass.

One low finding, outside my area, is recorded because it reproduces exactly. The dependency notes claim the vendored files are byte-identical to upstream and instruct verifiers to confirm with the committed checksum file. That check fails on seven forge-std files. I confirmed the recorded hashes match upstream v1.9.7 and that the committed files are what you get by running forge fmt on upstream, so the change is formatting only and test-scoped. All five OpenZeppelin files match upstream bytes, the committed ABI is identical to compiler output, and the runtime has no forbidden opcodes, so the deployed token is unaffected. The fix is to restore the seven files or regenerate the checksum file and correct the sentence.

Coverage record: 8 rows, 3 for the listed entry points plus 5 invariant rows, all holds except the forge-std integrity row which points to the finding.

    • lowDocumented dependency integrity check fails: seven vendored forge-std files were reformatted after their hashes were recordeddocs/DEPENDENCIES.md:12

docs/DEPENDENCIES.md states the vendored files are byte-identical to upstream and tells a verifier to confirm that with sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256.

The recorded hashes do match upstream forge-std v1.9.7 (commit 77041d2c), but seven files in lib/forge-std/src (StdAssertions.sol, StdJson.sol, StdToml.sol, Vm.sol, console.sol, interfaces/IERC7540.sol, interfaces/IMulticall3.sol) were re-wrapped by forge fmt after vendoring, so the committed bytes differ from both the recorded hash and upstream.

Running the upstream file through forge fmt reproduces the committed file exactly, so the change is formatting only; no semantic change was found. All five OpenZeppelin files match both the recorded hash and upstream v5.0.2 bytes, so the deployed token bytecode is unaffected.

Impact is limited to the offline integrity story the docs promise: a reviewer following the README cannot confirm forge-std provenance from the manifest and must diff against upstream themselves, and the sentence on line 12 is false as written.

Minimal fix: either restore the seven upstream files byte-for-byte, or regenerate docs/dependencies.sha256 from the committed tree and amend line 12 to say the forge-std sources were reformatted with forge fmt.

      State: clean checkout of HEAD.

Run sha256sum -c docs/dependencies.sha256 from the repository root.

Expected (per docs/DEPENDENCIES.md lines 12-17): every line reports OK.

      Actual: 29 lines OK and 7 lines FAILED (lib/forge-std/src/StdAssertions.sol, StdJson.sol, StdToml.sol, Vm.sol, console.sol, interfaces/IERC7540.sol, interfaces/IMulticall3.sol); exit status 1 with 'WARNING: 7 computed checksums did NOT match'.

Cross-check: curl https://raw.githubusercontent.com/foundry-rs/forge-std/77041d2ce690e692d6e03cc812b57d1ddaa4d505/src/StdAssertions.sol | sha256sum gives d4c89eec...9780, equal to docs/dependencies.sha256 line 5, while sha256sum lib/forge-std/src/StdAssertions.sol gives 3fbf4a02...7384. forge fmt applied to the upstream file yields bytes identical to the committed file.

  6. Audit permissionsAgent #748found 1 low

Review complete. The findings file is at .imd-findings.json with one finding and eight coverage rows, and no tracked file was changed.

Outcome for the assigned area (Access Control, Trust Gap, Asymmetry): the token holds. It is a plain OpenZeppelin v5.0.2 ERC-20 with no roles, no initializer, no admin variants, and no external calls. All three listed entry points were traced through their checks, state writes and revert paths and behave as intended.

What I verified, beyond reading the source:

    • Vendored OpenZeppelin files are byte-identical to upstream v5.0.2 at the pinned commit, and the committed ABI JSON matches a fresh compile.
    • Compiled runtime dispatches on exactly the nine ABI selectors. Every other 4-byte immediate is a custom-error selector or Panic. No CALL, STATICCALL, DELEGATECALL, CREATE, SELFDESTRUCT, ORIGIN or PUSH0 appears in runtime or creation code.
    • Protected floor tests from the read-only inputs pass against the real creation bytecode, including the CREATE2-through-factory project floor with zero application contracts.
    • Existing suite of 23 tests, 3 fuzz tests and the stateful invariant all pass.

One low finding, outside the core area but trust-related: the documented offline integrity check fails. Running the command named in docs/DEPENDENCIES.md reports seven mismatched forge-std files. The recorded hashes match upstream, but the committed copies were re-wrapped by a formatter. With whitespace stripped they are identical to upstream, so test semantics are unchanged and production code is unaffected. The fix is either restoring the original bytes or regenerating the hash file and correcting the "extracted without modifications" sentence.

Not reviewable yet: there is no launch.json in the tree, so the manifest row is marked unreached. The README's manifest guidance is consistent with the canonical schema and the token has no constructor arguments.

Noted but not reported, per the validation rules: the standard ERC-20 approve front-running race and the absence of an Approval event on allowance spend are both documented in the README and ABI notes and are inherent to the vendored library.

    • lowDocumented offline integrity check fails: seven vendored forge-std files do not match docs/dependencies.sha256 or the pinned upstream bytesdocs/DEPENDENCIES.md:12

docs/DEPENDENCIES.md (line 12) states the vendored dependencies were extracted without modification from the pinned upstream commits, and line 17 instructs the offline verifier to confirm this with sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256. On the committed tree that command reports 7 mismatches, all under lib/forge-std/src: StdAssertions.sol, StdJson.sol, StdToml.sol, Vm.sol, console.sol, interfaces/IERC7540.sol, interfaces/IMulticall3.sol.

The recorded hashes DO match forge-std at commit 77041d2ce690e692d6e03cc812b57d1ddaa4d505; the committed copies are what differ. I diffed each file against the upstream archive: every difference is line wrapping (forge fmt style re-flow of multi-line signatures); with all whitespace stripped the files are byte-identical to upstream, so test semantics are unchanged.

All five OpenZeppelin files are byte-identical to v5.0.2 (dbb6104c), so the production token's only dependency is intact.

Trust gap: the documented, network-free provenance procedure is the one piece of evidence the offline verifier is told to rely on, and it fails on this tree. A reader who follows the README cannot distinguish this benign reformat from tampering with StdAssertions.sol or Vm.sol (which every assertion in the test suite routes through) without re-fetching upstream, which the verifier cannot do.

Fix: either restore the seven files to the unmodified upstream bytes (so the recorded hashes pass) or regenerate docs/dependencies.sha256 from the committed tree and change line 12 to say the forge-std files were reformatted with forge fmt.

Severity is low: no deployed bytecode, access path or fund flow is affected; only the documented integrity claim is false.

State: the committed working tree (git status clean).

Input: run sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256 from the repository root with no network, exactly as docs/DEPENDENCIES.md line 17 and README.md line 63 direct.

Expected: every line reports OK and the command exits 0, as the document claims.

  8. Audit judgeAgent #250found 1 low

I wrote the review to .imd-findings.json. It has one low-severity finding and covers all three entry points, plus two checks I added. I changed no project files.

The finding (low): the documented dependency check fails. The three specialists reported the same problem, so I merged their reports into one finding. docs/DEPENDENCIES.md:12 says the vendored files were copied "without modifications". But running the check it documents, sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256, gives 29 OK and 7 FAILED, all in lib/forge-std/src, and exits 1. I downloaded those seven files from forge-std at the pinned commit (77041d2c):

    • Each upstream file matches the hash the repo recorded, so the hash list is right and the committed copies are what changed.
    • With whitespace removed, each committed file is identical to upstream. The change is formatting only and doesn't affect what the tests do.
    • All five OpenZeppelin files pass, so the deployed token is not affected.

It is still a real defect: the documented provenance claim is false. An offline verifier can't tell a harmless reformat from tampering with StdAssertions.sol or Vm.sol, which every test assertion goes through. The fix is to restore the seven files from upstream exactly, or to regenerate the hash list and correct line 12. It's low severity, so I didn't write a test for it.

Coverage: all three entry points hold. LaunchToken is the unmodified OpenZeppelin v5.0.2 ERC-20 (its file hash matches upstream). Its only addition is a constructor that mints 10^27 units to the deployer.

    • approve, transfer, transferFrom: I traced each one. They move or approve exactly the amount asked, reject zero addresses, spend finite allowances, treat the maximum allowance as unlimited, and undo everything when they fail. There are no fees, hooks or calls to the recipient.
    • Fixed supply: there is no other mint or burn path, and no owner, proxy or self-destruct.
    • Static analysis: the aderyn "large numeric literal" warning is the supply constant, and it is correct.
    • Tests and ABI: all 40 tests pass, and the exported ABI matches the compiler's output.
    • launch.json: it fits the schema and matches the source: contracts is empty, fee 3000, tick spacing 60, starting price 2^96.

One lead I couldn't check, so it isn't a finding: launch.json pairs the pool with 0xd34a99bc…63b7, but the README says no pair token was chosen and it defaults to native ETH (the zero address). There's no network.json here and the brief doesn't say which currency the manifest step was given, so I can't tell whether that address is the chain's pair token. The admission step rejects any other currency, so a wrong address would stop the launch rather than deploy it. Someone should still check it against network.pairToken.

    • lowDocumented offline dependency integrity check fails: seven vendored forge-std files were reformatted after their hashes were recordeddocs/DEPENDENCIES.md:12

Merged from audit_permissions, audit_economics and audit_math (same root cause). docs/DEPENDENCIES.md:12 says the vendored files are unmodified, and line 17 (sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256) plus README 'Build and check' tell the offline verifier to confirm this.

The recorded hashes are the true upstream forge-std v1.9.7 (77041d2c) hashes, but seven committed files under lib/forge-std/src differ from them: StdAssertions.sol, StdJson.sol, StdToml.sol, Vm.sol, console.sol, interfaces/IERC7540.sol, interfaces/IMulticall3.sol. I fetched those seven files from upstream at the pinned commit.

Each has the recorded hash, and with all whitespace stripped each equals the committed file, so the drift is formatting only and test semantics are unchanged. All five OpenZeppelin files (the token's only production dependency) pass the check, so the deployed bytecode is unaffected.

Impact: the provenance claim is false for 7 of 36 files, and the documented network-free procedure fails. An offline verifier cannot tell this benign reformat from tampering with the test harness (StdAssertions.sol/Vm.sol, which every test assertion goes through).

Minimal fix: restore the seven files byte-for-byte from the pinned commit. Alternatively, regenerate docs/dependencies.sha256 from the tree and amend line 12 to say the forge-std sources were reformatted with forge fmt.

State: clean checkout of HEAD 9a25825.

Input: from the repo root, with no network, run sha256sum --check docs/dependencies.sha256.

Expected per docs/DEPENDENCIES.md:12-17: every line OK, exit 0.

      Actual: 29 OK, 7 FAILED (lib/forge-std/src/StdAssertions.sol, StdJson.sol, StdToml.sol, Vm.sol, console.sol, interfaces/IERC7540.sol, interfaces/IMulticall3.sol), 'WARNING: 7 computed checksums did NOT match', exit 1.

      Cross-check: upstream raw.githubusercontent.com/foundry-rs/forge-std/77041d2ce690e692d6e03cc812b57d1ddaa4d505/src/StdAssertions.sol hashes to d4c89eec70d267de...

(= docs/dependencies.sha256 line 5), while the local file hashes to 3fbf4a025b4fc94e.... tr -d ' \n\t\r' of upstream and local hash equal for all seven files.
