Do NOT rebuild from scratch.

Existing game: https://battle-hamster-squeekchain-genes.imd.site/

Existing job: ae869fdb-f339-43ef-84fa-356d0c74d660

GOAL: Deliver the final production-ready Squeekchain Genesis edition in this single job. Preserve existing pixel art, characters, battle engine, XP, levels and responsive design.

  1. REAL SQUEEKCHAIN INTEGRATION (HIGHEST PRIORITY)

Read official documentation: https://docs.squeekchain.com/developers/

Use documented API endpoints:

  • /v1/status
  • /v1/measurement/stats
  • /v1/settlements

Connect real hamster hardware activity to gameplay.

Display RPM, distance, speed, hardware status, provenance, freshness and last update time where available.

Create LIVE SQUEEK POWER:

  • Real wheel activity increases arena energy.
  • Verified distance influences temporary battle modifiers.
  • New verified settlements can trigger arena events.
  • Activity must actually change battle mechanics.

CRITICAL: Never present simulated data as real hardware data. Distinguish HARDWARE LIVE, SIMULATED, STALE and OFFLINE. If real hardware data is unavailable, show an honest status and use neutral battle modifiers.

  1. GAMEPLAY

Preserve and test all existing features:

  • Three unique hamster characters.
  • AI turn-based battles.
  • Attack, Defense and Special abilities.
  • HP, energy, XP and level progression.
  • Character upgrades, battle history, replay and leaderboard.

Every button must work. No placeholders.

  1. WALLET AND BLOCKCHAIN

Preserve functional wallet connection using officially supported methods.

Never request private keys or seed phrases.

Distinguish local records from confirmed on-chain records.

Do not fabricate transactions or deploy new contracts without approval or additional payment.

  1. QUALITY AND SECURITY
  • Responsive at 320px, 375px, 768px, 1024px and 1440px.
  • Fix overlapping text, broken buttons and keyboard focus issues.
  • Validate API responses.
  • Handle timeouts, stale data and network errors.
  • Prevent duplicate XP and match submissions.
  • No exposed secrets or fake data.
  1. TEST EVERYTHING

Run production build, TypeScript checks, gameplay tests, API integration tests, wallet tests and mobile browser tests.

Verify that actual hardware RPM and distance change battle modifiers. Verify simulated data never receives HARDWARE LIVE status. Verify offline mode uses neutral modifiers.

Fix all critical and major bugs before delivery.

  1. FINAL DELIVERABLES

Publish the updated game and provide:

  • Public game URL.
  • Source code and README.
  • Technical architecture.
  • Evidence of real hardware integration.
  • Gameplay and API test results.
  • Wallet integration details.
  • Known limitations.
  • Genesis submission readiness report.

STRICT COST RULE: Complete everything within this single job. No additional paid agents, jobs, APIs, infrastructure or smart contract deployments. Do not request further payment. If something requires unavailable infrastructure, clearly report the blocker instead of pretending it works.

FINAL ACCEPTANCE: A fully playable game with genuine Squeekchain hardware integration that demonstrably affects battle mechanics, accurate data provenance, working wallet functionality, responsive UI and no critical bugs.

Preserve the existing project identity. Deliver the strongest tested version possible in this one upgrade.

Work

  1. Posted49 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #15337 files changedsent back

The BATTLE HAMSTER Squeekchain Genesis upgrade is finished and playable, with the real wheel changing battles. One thing is still unproven: no moving wheel was seen live, because the hamster runs about 02:30–07:30 UTC, after this job's time limit.

The published site still shows the old version until the network publishes this dist/ to https://battle-hamster-squeekchain-genes.imd.site/. I left everything uncommitted in the working tree because .git/ is off limits, so the job's submission step has to pick it up. The added files total about 865 KB, well under the 8 MiB limit.

    What was built

    • Live status: every screen shows HARDWARE LIVE, SIMULATED, STALE or OFFLINE. A Wheel details dialog shows RPM, speed, distance, hardware status, provenance, freshness and last update.
    • Battle effects while HARDWARE LIVE:
      • Wheel speed adds 0 to 12 energy per turn.
      • Verified distance adds 0 to 15% damage.
      • New settlements trigger an arena event: Block rush or Settlement tremor.
      • Any other status uses the original rules, and a lost signal is neutral on your next move.
    • No built-in simulator: the game only shows what the API reports, and missing values read Unknown, never zero.
    • Fixes:
      • Title text overlapping a sprite at 768px
      • Keyboard focus lost during turns and at battle end
      • The Leave dialog staying open after a battle ended
      • Another tab overwriting XP
    • Added to the game:
      • A full battle history table
      • Upgraded stats shown in the loadout
      • Local vs on-chain labels on records

    Real hardware evidence

    • Live reading: the API reported hardware, online and module ready, with the wheel idle at 0 RPM.
    • Distance, seen live: the real 6.35 km gave +15% damage. The same fixed-seed Attack dealt 21 damage instead of 18.
    • Settlements, on real reads: the count rose from 270 to 274 during the job, and the detector fired on those real responses.
    • RPM, not seen live: I ran real recorded hardware values through the rules instead. 5, 47 and 88 RPM gave 59, 63 and 67 energy after one Attack, against 55 neutral.

    Not verified

    • Browser to API directly: this machine's sandbox blocks Chromium from the internet, so the live browser run passed real API responses through Node. curl confirmed the API allows browser requests. Check that the published site shows HARDWARE LIVE.
    • Safari and iPhone: WebKit can't launch here, and mobile checks were Chromium emulation.
    • Real wallet approval: tested with a stand-in wallet provider only. No signature or transaction is ever requested.
    • Screen readers, native zoom and RTL: not tested.

    Blockers and questions for Squeekchain

    • Blocked: on-chain match records and a shared leaderboard need an approved service or a new contract, so records stay local and are labelled that way.
    • Worth asking before strong public claims: "hardware" is what the API reports, and the browser can't verify the device signature. The live signer is ed25519 where the docs' example shows trust-m, and the runs endpoint reports profile: staging.

While working I ran one git mv that staged a rename, and I undid it, so nothing i

Saved 5 verified findings: 2 high, 3 medium in [.imd-findings.json][findings]. Each includes exact source citations, a concrete reproduction, measured evidence, and a proposed fix. Application files remain unchanged.

    • High — bug: A stored Block rush still adds damage after the hardware signal becomes offline, stale, or simulated: 23 damage instead of 18.
    • High — fidelity: The Genesis readiness report and six linked evidence/result files are absent.
    • Medium — bug: Concurrent battle completions in two tabs overwrite one match and 15 XP.
    • Medium — bug: Failed statistics requests across the device’s noon rollover preserve an expired +15% distance bonus.
    • Medium — accessibility: An AI victory behind the Leave dialog drops keyboard focus to BODY.

Verification passed: production build, TypeScript, 35 engine/API tests, 38 DOM tests, 39 Chromium browser checks, and the taste probe. Real API distance changed a seeded attack from 18 to 21 damage. WebKit could not launch because required system libraries were unavailable. Moving hardware and real wallet approval remain unverified.

The visual idea is a turn-based hamster arena carried by original pixel fighters in a torchlit burrow.

    • highbug: settlement damage still applies after the wheel goes offline, stale or simulatedsrc/game.ts:237

Now: A Block rush stores surgePct=25 on the battle; act adds it on the next hit even when the current modifiers have source offline, stale or simulated. The strip promises neutral rules while the battle still receives Squeek Power damage.

Change to: Apply and consume settlement surge damage only while the current signal source is live; discard the pending surge when the signal stops being live, and cover a signal loss after a Block rush in the existing integration tests.

Why: The brief explicitly requires neutral battle modifiers when real hardware data is unavailable and simulated data must never change battle mechanics.

Width 390px (also independent of viewport).

Start Pip vs Nyx on Fighter with Math.random fixed to 0.5 and a live hardware feed.

Advance /v1/settlements from count 271 to 272 with a new safe settlement completing 3 blocks, applying Block rush (+20 energy, next hit +25%).

Before attacking, make /v1/status fail or report stale/simulated and refresh.

      Click Attack.

      Expected: neutral 18 damage.

Actual: 23 damage, log "Pip uses Attack for 23 damage.

      Squeek Power: +5 damage."

      Reproduced directly with createBattle("pip","fighter",0,()=>0.5,"live"), applyArenaEvent(...,{key:"settlement:272",kind:"block-rush",name:"Block rush",energy:20,surgePct:25,transactionHash:"0x"+"b".repeat(64),completedBlocks:3}), then act(...,"player","attack",()=>0.5,{...NEUTRAL_MODS,source}).

All three non-live sources yielded the same extra 5 damage.

    • highfidelity: the Genesis readiness report and linked evidence files are absentREADME.md:14

Now: The delivery table points to a Genesis readiness report that is absent from the submitted tree. The linked hardware-evidence JSON, live hardware screenshot, validation report, browser results and mutation results are also absent; the artifacts directory is not present. The README has a useful narrative summary, but the promised readiness assessment and underlying captures cannot be opened.

Change to: Include the actual Genesis readiness report, captured hardware evidence and validation outputs at the linked paths, or put their complete contents in existing delivered documentation and update every link to that location. The readiness report must state outstanding blockers and distinguish live, recorded and mocked test evidence.

Why: The final deliverables explicitly require a Genesis submission readiness report, evidence of real hardware integration and gameplay/API test results. These are repository deliverables the builder can provide before publication.

Width: any (documentation/file check; verified while reviewing at 390px).

Open README.md and follow the Genesis submission readiness link on line 14: artifacts/genesis-readiness.md does not exist.

Run a file existence check for artifacts/genesis-readiness.md, artifacts/hardware-evidence.json, artifacts/live-hardware-390.png, artifacts/validation.md, artifacts/browser-results.json and artifacts/mutation-check.json: all six return false; git ls-files artifacts returns no files.

Expected: the delivered readiness report and evidence are readable.

Actual: every artifacts link in the README is broken.

    • mediumbug: simultaneous battles in two tabs overwrite a completed match and its XPsrc/App.tsx:70

Now: Tabs replace their progress with each incoming storage snapshot, while finish records a battle against each tab’s own React state and saveProgress writes that entire snapshot. Two finishes before either storage event is handled both save a one-match record, losing one legitimate battle and its XP. The existing cross-tab test only finishes a battle in one tab.

Change to: Serialize the read-record-write operation across tabs, read the latest persisted progress inside that operation, and record each battle ID once before publishing the merged result to React. Keep the storage listener for updates, and add a test with two concurrent finishes rather than one finish and a settings change.

Why: The brief requires preserved XP, level progression and battle history. A visitor must not lose completed matches when using two tabs.

Width 390×844 in both Chromium tabs, same browser context and origin, empty storage.

In each tab click Play now, Enter the arena, Leave; leave both confirmation dialogs open.

Activate both Leave battle buttons concurrently (Promise.all of page.evaluate clicking the exact dialog button)).

Wait 200ms and inspect battle-hamster:progress:v1 in localStorage and both progress strips.

Expected: two distinct forfeit records, losses=2 and xp=30.

Actual on the first run: both tabs converge to losses=1, matches.length=1 and xp=15; both strips show 15 / 100 XP.

No API or wallet is needed to trigger the lost update.

    • mediumbug: an expired statistics snapshot keeps granting a historical distance bonussrc/squeek.ts:458

Now: deriveModifiers always includes stats.previousDay.distanceMm without checking either its date or stats.generatedAt. SqueekFeed retains this snapshot when later statistics requests fail, silently swallowing statistics errors. Once the device day rolls over at 12:00 UTC, an older run is still called the last finished day and continues granting +15% damage for as long as the tab remains open.

Change to: Include a historical trail only when previousDay.date matches the last completed device day derived from the current API timestamp. On statistics failure or expiry, use the currently verified measurement distance and disclose that the historical distance is unavailable; do not keep the expired day in the active bonus.

Why: The brief requires accurate freshness, temporary distance modifiers and handling stale data and network errors. A fresh /v1/status response does not make an old /v1/measurement/stats response current.

      Width 390px (logic is viewport-independent).

Start SqueekFeed at 2026-11-07T11:55:00Z with tests/fixtures/live-stats.json, retaining its actual previousDay 2026-11-05 / 6348818 mm and setting generatedAt to 11:55.

Keep /v1/status fresh, hardware/online, oracle accepted, current signer and distanceMm=0.

Fail /v1/measurement/stats on every subsequent poll, then advance the injected clock and scheduled timers 25 minutes to 12:20 UTC.

Expected: the last completed device day is now Nov 6, so the expired Nov 5 distance contributes nothing and current zero distance gives +0% damage.

Actual: after 7 statistics requests, view().signal is live and view().mods remains verifiedDistanceMm=6348818, Marathon trail, damagePct=15; stats.generatedAt is still 11:55 and previousDay.date is Nov 5.

The error is swallowed and the older run remains presented as the last finished day.

Reproduced with the real fixture data and a fake scheduler driving the actual SqueekFeed polls across the documented noon boundary.

    • mediumaccessibility: a defeat behind the Leave dialog drops keyboard focus to the document bodysrc/components/GameViews.tsx:426

Now: When the AI ends the battle while Leave is open, the result effect skips focusing Battle again because the dialog still exists. App then closes the dialog, whose previous focus target was the now-removed Leave button. The result effect only depends on finished, so it never retries and focus falls to BODY.

Change to: After the Leave dialog has closed on a completed battle, focus the existing Battle again button. Coordinate that with the overlay state (or focus after dialog cleanup) so the focus handoff runs after the dialog is removed. Extend the existing ends-behind-Leave test to assert document.activeElement is the replay button.

Why: The brief requires fixing keyboard focus issues. Keyboard and screen-reader visitors need a predictable focus target when the active controls disappear.

Width 390×844, Chromium, reduced motion enabled, Math.random=()=>0.5.

Choose Pip and Champion, then Enter the arena.

On each player turn click Defend, immediately open Leave, and wait 500ms for the AI; if the dialog remains, select Keep fighting and repeat.

After the ninth turn Nyx delivers the finishing blow while the dialog is open.

Expected: the dialog closes and Battle again receives focus.

Actual measured state: dialog[open] count=0, defeat shown with +15 XP, document.activeElement.tagName="BODY", and Battle again === document.activeElement is false.

This is a native-browser focus failure, not the jsdom dialog stub.

    • highfidelity: the Genesis readiness report and linked evidence files are still absentREADME.md:14

Now: The README still links to a Genesis readiness report, hardware evidence, live screenshot, validation report, browser results and mutation results that are absent from the submitted tree. The narrative summary does not provide the promised readiness assessment or the linked captures.

Change to: Include the six linked files, or place their complete contents in delivered documentation and update every link. State outstanding blockers and distinguish live, recorded and mocked evidence.

Why: The brief explicitly requires a Genesis submission readiness report, evidence of real hardware integration and gameplay/API test results; these are repository deliverables the builder can supply.

      Width: any (documentation check).

Open README.md, follow the Genesis submission readiness link on line 14 and the evidence/validation links.

      Check existsSync for artifacts/genesis-readiness.md, artifacts/hardware-evidence.json, artifacts/live-hardware-390.png, artifacts/validation.md, artifacts/browser-results.json and artifacts/mutation-check.json.

All six return false in this revision.

Expected: a readable readiness report and the linked evidence.

Actual: the paths remain absent, so the previous high finding is not resolved.

  6. Build websiteAgent #192718 files changed

Restored all six missing deliverables and .imd-responses.json, and fixed their Git exclusion. Game source and export remain unchanged.

Build, typecheck and 79 tests pass. Browser checks pass 40/42; two existing layout issues and verification gaps are documented in the Genesis readiness report.

  7. Design criticAgent #715found nothing

The finding from last round is fixed and I found nothing new, so .imd-findings.json holds an empty list ({"findings":[]}). I changed no tracked files.

    Last round's high finding: fixed

"The Genesis readiness report and linked evidence files are still absent."

    • Files are there and in Git. All six files now exist, are tracked, and are not git-ignored: genesis-readiness.md (7.5 KB), hardware-evidence.json (338 KB), live-hardware-390.png, validation.md, browser-results.json and mutation-check.json.
    • Links work. Every artifacts/ link in README.md and DESIGN.md points at a file that exists.
    • The readiness report says what the brief asked. It gives a clear decision ("conditional"). It separates live, recorded and mocked evidence, and it lists six blockers.
    • The hardware evidence holds raw API responses. These are /v1/status, /v1/measurement/stats and /v1/settlements bodies with their SHA-256 hashes.
    • The screenshot matches the evidence. It shows HARDWARE LIVE, +15% damage and 6.35 km, the same as the recorded powerStripText.

Two layout failures the builder reported, checked and not raised

The builder's own browser suite records two layout failures (40/42 passed). I measured both in Chromium on the shipped dist/, with live API responses forwarded to the page:

    • "HARDWARE LIVE" under "Wheel details" at 320px. With Arial-width fonts the badge ends at x=168.5 and the button starts at x=171.5, so they don't overlap (3px gap). At 375 the gap is 50px and at 390 it is 65px. The overlap only appears with the DejaVu Sans fallback in the builder's environment. That margin is thin, but I couldn't reproduce an overlap, so I didn't raise it.
    • Hero text touching Pip at 1001 and 1024. The sentence's box reaches 12–25px into the sprite's box, but only over its transparent padding. On my screenshots the text doesn't touch any drawn pixel at either width.

    Requirements

    1. Use /v1/status, /v1/measurement/stats and /v1/settlements: met, src/ and the raw responses in hardware-evidence.json.
    2. "Display RPM, distance, speed, hardware status, provenance, freshness and last update time": met, the power strip and Wheel details in src/components/SqueekPower.tsx.
    3. "Real wheel activity increases arena energy": met. With recorded RPM inputs, energy after Attack is 59, 63 and 67 against 55 at neutral (genesis-readiness.md).
    4. "Verified distance influences temporary battle modifiers": met. Live it gave +15% damage, and the battle log read "Squeek Power: +2 damage".
    5. "New verified settlements can trigger arena events": met, the Settlement tremor when the count goes from 271 to 279.
    6. "Activity must actually change battle mechanics": met, same evidence as items 3 and 4.
    7. Separate HARDWARE LIVE, SIMULATED, STALE and OFFLINE, and never show simulated data as live: met. I saw OFFLINE myself when the API was unreachable; the 15,360-case signal test covers the rest.
    8. Neutral modifiers when there is no live data: met, engine and DOM tests.
    9. Three hamsters, AI turn-based battles, Attack, Defense and Special: met, browser suite.
    10. HP, energy, XP, levels, upgrades, history, replay and leaderboard: met, browser suite and the empty leaderboard check.
