Critical fix: on the live imd.site the app cannot load ethers, so nothing on-chain works. The host sends the CSP header "script-src 'self' 'unsafe-inline' 'wasm-unsafe-eval'", which blocks import(ETHERS_CDN) from cdn.jsdelivr.net (Chrome: "Failed to fetch dynamically imported module"). Result: the header says "On-chain values unavailable", the hero card and the Nursery stay on "The nursery is a moment away", and Connect / Hatch / Feed cannot work.

Fix:

  1. Move ethers 6.13.5 from devDependencies to dependencies and import it statically (import { Interface, BrowserProvider, Contract } from "ethers") in chain.ts, wallet.tsx and App.tsx so Vite bundles it. Remove ETHERS_CDN, getEthers() and every remote script import. Never load scripts from another origin.
  2. Keep everything else exactly as it is (design, copy, sections, RPC rotation, caching).

Check on the deployed imd.site URL (not localhost), with the browser console open:

  • The header shows the Squeek block height and round from hamster().
  • The hero card and the Nursery render Squeekling #1 via svgOf(1). It already exists on-chain.
  • The time machine slider redraws through previewSvg(id, blocks).
  • Connect wallet, Hatch and Feed open the wallet on Sepolia.
  • There are no CSP errors.

needs input: Authorization to edit the existing root package.json and package-lock.json: the requested move of ethers 6.13.5 from devDependencies to dependencies requires changing these files, but the task rules explicitly forbid changes to them and state that such changes are automatically rejected. — May this task modify the existing root package.json and package-lock.json solely to move ethers 6.13.5 to dependencies and update its lockfile classification, overriding the protected-path rule for those two files?

    #125Claude6 files changed

I've fixed the source, but the live site is not fixed yet. I couldn't rebuild dist/, so the committed export still loads ethers from cdn.jsdelivr.net and is still blocked by the host's CSP. No shell command could run in this job: every Bash call failed with "Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets after 5 attempts". Changing the sandbox is your call, not mine.

    What changed in the source:

    • src/chain.ts: imports Interface from "ethers" statically and builds the ABI interface once. getEthers() and the CDN import() are gone.
    • src/wallet.tsx: imports getAddress statically; the three async loader calls are removed.
    • src/App.tsx: imports BrowserProvider and Contract statically for Hatch and Feed.
    • src/config.ts: ETHERS_CDN is removed.
    • Design, copy, sections, RPC rotation and caching are untouched.
    • A search of src/ finds no jsdelivr, ETHERS_CDN, getEthers or remote import(). The only dynamic import left is the Coinbase Wallet SDK, which comes from the app's own bundle.
    • The README and THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md now say ethers is bundled.

Decision on package.json (the question the last attempt asked): nobody answered it, so I followed the rule that a network rule beats the request. package.json and package-lock.json are unchanged, and ethers 6.13.5 stays a pinned dev dependency. This doesn't affect the fix: npm ci installs dev dependencies too, and Vite bundles whatever the source imports either way. Moving it into dependencies is a one-line change for later. This is written in the README.

Not run (the shell never started):

    • npm ci, the typecheck, the production build and the design probe.
    • Every check on the deployed imd.site: block height and round in the header, Squeekling #1 in the hero card and Nursery, the time machine redraw, Connect/Hatch/Feed opening the wallet on Sepolia, and the console free of CSP errors.

I checked the edits only by reading them. The README says all of this and keeps the earlier job's results labelled as coming from the old CDN build.

To finish: with a working shell, run npm ci && npm run typecheck && npm run build, confirm grep -r jsdelivr dist prints nothing, and commit the new dist/. Then run the imd.site checks above.

Nothing is committed: git commands need the shell too, so the changes are only in the working tree.

Recorded two high findings in .imd-findings.json:

    • bug: the shipped export still imports ethers from the CSP-blocked CDN. The deployed entry script matches dist/ exactly. Rebuild and include the updated export.
    • fidelity: ethers 6.13.5 remains a development dependency. Move its manifest entry and update the lockfile.

WebKit could not launch because host libraries are missing. Real wallet signing was not tested. Application files remain unchanged.

    • highbug: the shipped export still imports ethers from the CSP-blocked CDNdist/index.html:42

Now: The static entry document still selects the previous JavaScript export, whose runtime imports https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/ethers@6.13.5/dist/ethers.min.js. The deployed HTML and entry script are byte-for-byte identical to the committed dist files. The host blocks that import, so the source-only fix never reaches visitors.

Change to: Rebuild the production export from the updated static-import source and include the regenerated dist/index.html and its complete local assets. Verify the export contains no ethers CDN loader and then repeat the requested deployed-site checks under the existing CSP. Preserve markup, styles, RPC rotation and caching.

Why: The central requirement is to bundle ethers so on-chain reads, artwork, previews and wallet actions work with script-src self. The current repository still ships the exact failure the brief asks to remove.

At 390×844 in Chromium, open https://squeeklings-small-paws-real-grow.imd.site/ with the console capturing errors and wait for loading to settle.

The response is HTTP 200 with script-src self/unsafe-inline/wasm-unsafe-eval.

Console: Loading the script https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/npm/ethers@6.13.5/dist/ethers.min.js violates the Content Security Policy; the action has been blocked.

      Actual header: On-chain values unavailable.

Hero: The nursery is a moment away.

      Nursery: Waiting for Sepolia.

There are 0 .squeek-art img elements and no RPC requests; only the status API request proceeds.

      The time-machine range is unavailable.

Clicking Try again reproduces the same failure.

Expected: hamster() height/round, svgOf(1) in the hero and Nursery, and an enabled previewSvg slider with no CSP errors.

Fetch the live /assets/index-CdpcfXBT.js and compare it with dist/assets/index-CdpcfXBT.js: both are 230704 bytes with SHA-256 cda8f827ba7e0cda954ddbb6152c16e22670cbe99ba63591f0e98c54cb7a1e52 and contain the CDN URL.

This is a stale repository export, not merely an unperformed deployment.

At the same width, Connect wallet and Hatch my Squeekling each open the wallet picker.

With a test-only injected EIP-1193 provider returning an account and Sepolia chain ID 0xaa36a7, selecting Browser wallet invokes eth_requestAccounts but then shows Unable to reach Sepolia; the header remains Connect wallet.

No signing or transaction was performed.

      Independent read-only calls to the specified Sepolia contract returned hamster live=true, round=266, height=366, totalSupply=1, svgOf(1) as a 1371-character SVG, and distinct previewSvg(1,0) and previewSvg(1,2000) images (1371 and 3171 characters).

Thus the empty page is not an empty collection or a failed contract read.

    • highfidelity: ethers 6.13.5 remains a development dependencypackage.json:21

Now: ethers 6.13.5 is still under devDependencies; dependencies contains only @coinbase/wallet-sdk, react and react-dom. The new runtime imports depend on ethers.

Change to: Move the existing ethers 6.13.5 entry into dependencies and regenerate the corresponding package-lock.json metadata without changing its version or other dependencies.

Why: The brief explicitly requires moving ethers 6.13.5 from devDependencies to dependencies; static imports alone do not meet that requirement.

Width: independent of viewport (source requirement).

From the repository root run node -e 'const p=JSON.parse(require("fs").readFileSync("package.json","utf8")); console.log(JSON.stringify({runtime:p.dependencies.ethers??null,development:p.devDependencies.ethers??null}))'.

      Actual: {"runtime":null,"development":"6.13.5"}.

Expected: {"runtime":"6.13.5","development":null}. package-lock.json also lists ethers under the root devDependencies.

the task produced no changes; the agent's last message was: I couldn't fix this: the shell on this machine fails before any command runs. Every attempt (including pwd and echo ok) returned: "Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets after 5 attempts. Restart to retry. Running it outside the sandbox (dangerouslyDisableSandbox) is not allowed either." The same failure stopped the previous job. Without a shell I can't run npm ci or vite build, so the export can't be rebuilt. There is also no node_modules/, so I can't put ethers in by hand. I changed nothing in the repository.

What I found with the file tools:

    • Finding 72a9afe5… (stale export): reproduces. dist/index.html:42 still loads ./assets/index-CdpcfXBT.js, and that file still contains the cdn.jsdelivr.net ethers URL. The other bundle, index-CSqhXohf.js, has no ethers loader and isn't referenced from index.html; I couldn't confirm what it is. The source is already fixed: src/chain.ts, src/wallet.tsx and src/App.tsx import ethers statically. The fix is a rebuild and commit of the new dist/ on a machine where the shell works (npm ci && npm run typecheck && npm run build), then checking that grep -r jsdelivr dist prints nothing. Until then the live site stays broken exactly as the reviewer describes.
    • Finding ba96dc0b… (ethers still a dev dependency): accurate, but deliberately not done. The brief asks for the move, but the network rules forbid editing package.json and lockfiles and say any such change is rejected automatically. The previous attempt asked for an exception and got no answer. This doesn't affect the result: npm ci installs dev dependencies too, and Vite bundles whatever the source imports. Only the requester or IMD can allow the edit. Once allowed, it's a one-line change plus a lockfile update.

I didn't write .imd-responses.json. Marking the export finding "fixed" would be untrue, and "disputed" would be wrong too, since the defect is real. A file of answers with no code change would also look like a reviewed decision, and that could let the broken export be accepted again, as happened last round. Restarting the sandbox so commands can run is what this needs. After that the rebuild takes a few minutes, followed by the checks on the deployed site.

Rebuilt dist/ with bundled ethers and removed the stale CDN loader. Design and application source are unchanged.

Typecheck, build, and 12 DOM interaction checks passed. Browser launch failures prevented rendered/CSP verification; the live site still needs the corrected export published.

The dependency move remains disputed because manifest edits are prohibited. Both findings are answered in .imd-responses.json; results and limitations are in artifacts/validation.md.

No actionable repository findings remain. .imd-findings.json contains {"findings":[]}. No tracked files changed.

The prior bug: stale export imports the blocked CDN is fixed in the repository. dist/index.html:42 selects index-CRoHBTmp.js, which bundles ethers locally. The deployed site still serves index-CdpcfXBT.js and reproduces the CSP failure. Publication is now the outstanding step.

The prior fidelity: ethers remains a development dependency is substantiated, but the author’s dispute is accepted: completing it requires permission to edit the protected manifests. It is not marked met or reopened against the builder.
