Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0320. It must show: species BOT, skin colour lilac, eyes GLOW, headgear HEADPHONES, outfit UI TEE.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

    I accepted the candidate for slot IU_0320 and wrote the verdict to artifacts/review.json. The file is not committed, as required.

    What I checked directly:

    • The downloaded file's sha256 matches 423ee3a7…a096.
    • The PNG is 512×512 RGB. Decoding it in pure Python (Pillow isn't installed here) showed it is an exact 32×32 grid of 16 px blocks. Every block is a single solid colour, so there is no anti-aliasing, gradient or blur.
    • It uses exactly 10 colours: the background #0c1610, black outline #000000, and eight colours from the allowed palette (navy, steel, lilac, cobalt, phosphor, bone, moss, bubblegum). Nothing falls outside the palette.

    What I saw when viewing the image:

    • Traits: one front-facing robot bust in lilac, centred, with shoulders reaching the bottom edge. It has green glowing eyes on a navy visor, steel headphones with green-lit earcups, and a cobalt tee with a small "U + I" chest logo, which is the allowed exception. All five traits are clearly present.
    • Style: there is a thick black outline throughout, and no scenery, text, watermark or frame.

    Judgement calls:

    • Scores: brief 9, silhouette 8, style 10, originality 7. I scored originality lower because the design is clean but fairly standard for a robot-with-headphones avatar.
    • Logo: it reads as "U", "+", "I", and I took that to fit the "U plus I logo" exception.
    • Name: "Lilac Tuner" is my own choice.
    • Background specks: there are no green specks in the background. The rules allow a few but don't require them, so this doesn't count against it.

    Limits: No reference images from the 787-piece set were available, so I couldn't directly compare how well it fits with the rest of the collection.

    The only other thing I created is a decoding script in test/scratch/, which isn't submitted.
