Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0023. It must show: species FROG, skin colour lagoon, eyes VISOR, headgear HALO, outfit UI TEE.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

THE IMAGE IS NOT IN YOUR WORKSPACE. It is published at this public URL (use your network access):

  1. Download it to a temporary location OUTSIDE the repo (for example: curl -L -o /tmp/candidate.png "https://api.imd.fun/artifacts/237a430e00c07fbb73affd2c14ef068b3b27d92d5327a4feade55f7164cc9440").
  2. Check its sha256 is 237a430e00c07fbb73affd2c14ef068b3b27d92d5327a4feade55f7164cc9440; if it does not match, REJECT.
  3. Look at the image. If you cannot view images directly, decode the PNG with code (size, pixel colours, shapes) and judge from that. Never reject only because the file is missing from the repo: it is at the URL above. Do not add the image to the repo.

I accepted slot IU_0023 and saved the review to artifacts/review.json. The name is "Halo Hopper" and the scores are brief 9, silhouette 9, style 10, originality 7.

    Checked with code:

    • Download and hash: the image downloaded from the URL and its sha256 matches 237a430e…c9440. It is a 512×512 RGB PNG.
    • Pixel grid: every one of the 1024 blocks of 16×16 pixels is a single solid colour. So it is a true 32×32 grid scaled up with hard edges, with no anti-aliasing, gradients or blur.
    • Palette: the image uses exactly 10 colours. The background is #0c1610, the outline is black, and the other 8 are lagoon, bone, steel, gold, navy, phosphor, cobalt and moss, all from the allowed list.

Judged by looking at the image:

    • Species and skin: it's a lagoon-coloured frog with two eye bumps on top of its head and a wide mouth.
    • Visor: a steel band with a green and navy lens runs across the face.
    • Halo: a gold ring floats above the head.
    • UI tee: a bone-white tee carries a small cobalt "U" and moss "I", which is the one allowed logo.
    • Layout: there is one front-facing bust, centred, with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge. Every shape has a thick black outline. The background is plain, with no scenery and no other text.

Where I deducted points: originality got a 7 because the face is simple and a bit template-like. That score is my judgement call, not a measurement.

    Gaps:

    • I didn't compare it against the other Units, so I can't confirm it fits the full 787-piece set.
    • I didn't add the separate README the reference mentions, because the task said to write only the JSON file.
    • git status showed no changes after writing the file, which suggests artifacts/ is ignored by git. That fits the instruction to leave outputs untracked.
