Audit imported codeAgent #852found 7 medium, 1 low, 1 info
Review complete. The findings file is written and all nine entries anchor to the tree. Git status is clean apart from the findings file.
Outcome: no critical or high code defects, but deployment is blocked on policy. The repaired pin at 028d377 is internally sound. Seven medium findings are recorded, four of which are explicit source-policy conflicts that the task says must go to needs_input rather than be stripped. Two are owner-trust gaps the docs do not fully disclose. One low and one info entry round out the report.
What was verified
- Build on Solidity 0.8.26, Cancun, optimizer 200, via-IR, bytecode hash none.
- Full suite: 128 passed, 0 failed, 2 fork suites skipped without RPC. I then ran both fork suites against the public RPC at the latest block and all 3 passed on the real mainnet PoolManager. The pinned block 26243226 is not served by that RPC, so the exact pinned-block claim in VALIDATION.md could not be reproduced, but the 131 count reconciles.
- The hook commitment script reproduces hash 0x08f972c7…9b3d from the published constructor inputs. Runtime 24,483 bytes, initcode 25,355 bytes.
- All four factories and all ten descendant runtimes are under the EIP-170 limit, have no library links and contain no reachable DELEGATECALL, CALLCODE or SELFDESTRUCT. Manifest shape, argument counts, name limits and the backward reference are correct.
- All nine documented repairs match the code: cutoff-based seven-day deadline, no reroll, late-word rejection, bounded permissionless unwind, thirty-day claims with escrow burn and community sweep, one-shot V2, bounded pause, immutable verifier policy, reproducible commitment.
Findings written to .imd-findings.json
- Medium, owner-chosen randomness: the hook's configure accepts any code-bearing address as randomness provider, verifier and (via bindAccounting) modules, so the audited VRF adapter and factory modules are not actually enforced. An owner-supplied provider picked crew 7 as the loser in a scratch test.
- Medium, zero V2 target: with the pinned zero target, migrateToV2 sends every unreserved wei to any owner-chosen contract. Scratch run moved 1,008.89 ETH of 1,000 ETH seeded to the owner.
- Medium, four policy conflicts: post-launch hook minting (488k tokens minted in round 1), lifecycle transfer freezes, bounded one-hour owner pause, and staged post-deployment binding/configuration plus the disabled-but-present initializer on the crew token. Each has a reproduced call sequence and is flagged for needs_input, not removal.
- Low: eligibleSupply drifts after finalization because post-finalize claims debit virtual supply without crediting wallets. No funds affected.
- Info: coverage statement listing the 16 contracts read, what could not be reached (vendored lib code, IMD service files not in tree), and the exact checks run.
Next step for the adapter: stop with needs_input citing the mint, freeze, pause and initializer policies, and ask the requester whether to pin a nonzero V2 target and whether the hook should bind the canonical VRF adapter and factory modules on-chain.

mediumPinned zero V2 target makes migrateToV2 a discretionary owner transfer of all unreserved ETH and survivor inventory to any contractsrc/imd/MugiIMDGameHook.sol:467
mediumSource-policy conflict: post-launch minting of crew tokens by the hook at every settlement (escrow and matched liquidity)src/imd/MugiIMDGameHook.sol:338
Policy forbids minting after launch. The hook mints survivor tokens in two post-launch paths: escrow for converted loser balances (this line, from ledger.recordElimination) and matched liquidity in _addMatchedLiquidity (line 355, token.mint(address(this), needed)). MugiCrewToken.mint is onlyHook; the owner has no direct mint entry point and the hook has no arbitrary-amount mint, so this is deterministic game-rule minting, not discretionary owner minting.
Initial supply is therefore not a lifetime cap and total supply after round 1 already exceeds initialSupply. Per the task rules this is a required mechanic that must not be stripped; the conflict is unresolved by code and requires needs_input citing the mint policy before deployment.
After launch every crew token has totalSupply == initialSupply (1,000,000e18 in the harness).
Call requestElimination at the first cutoff, deliver word 0, settleRound(10).
Expected under policy: totalSupply unchanged.
Actual: each of the nine surviving crew tokens has totalSupply > initialSupply; in the harness 488,785.23e18 tokens were minted in round 1 alone (scratch test testPostLaunchMintRaisesSupplyAboveInitial).
mediumSource-policy conflict: lifecycle transfer freeze of holder balances (cutoff, settlement, eliminated crews, terminal phases)src/imd/MugiIMDGameHook.sol:503
Policy forbids freezing holder balances. Every non-protocol transfer of every crew token reverts unless the phase is Live, the round cutoff has not passed and the crew is still alive.
Holders of an eliminated crew are frozen forever (their value is converted into virtual survivor claims), all holders are frozen from each cutoff until settlement completes, and after Finalized, Aborted or EmergencyClosed every balance including the final survivor's remains frozen; only hook-initiated claim transfers bypass the check.
This is deterministic and not owner-triggered (the owner cannot freeze an individual account), but it is a freeze of holder balances within the meaning of the policy and is a core game rule that must be preserved rather than removed. Requires needs_input with the policy conflict before deployment.
ALICE holds crew-0 tokens after the airdrop.
ALICE.transfer(BOB, 1) succeeds while Live before cutoff. warp(nextCutoff): the same transfer reverts TransferFrozen.
Eliminate crew 0 (word 0) and settle; phase returns to Live but ALICE's crew-0 transfer reverts TransferFrozen permanently while BOB's crew-1 transfer still succeeds.
After finalize() the survivor's holders are likewise frozen (scratch test testTransfersFrozenAtCutoffAndAfterElimination).
mediumSource-policy conflict: owner trading pause (bounded to one hour, once per round, clipped to cutoff)src/imd/MugiIMDGameHook.sol:220
Policy forbids pausing. The owner can call setPaused(true) once per elimination round while Live and before the cutoff; paused() then blocks beforeSwap (all pool swaps), executeBuyback and executeOwnBuyback for up to one hour, never beyond nextCutoff, with automatic expiry and no re-arm after an early unpause. Transfers, claims, requestElimination, settlement, finalization and stalled recovery are not affected.
The bound is correctly enforced in code (verified), so this is a bounded owner pause rather than an indefinite one, but it is still an owner pause and must be admitted explicitly or rejected via needs_input; it must not be silently removed.
Live phase, BOB swaps 1 ETH into crew 1 successfully.
Owner calls setPaused(true); paused() == true.
BOB's identical swap through PoolManager reverts (hook beforeSwap -> _requireLive -> InvalidState). warp(+1 hour): paused() == false without any owner call and BOB's swap succeeds.
Owner calls setPaused(true) again in the same round: reverts InvalidState (scratch test testOwnerPauseBlocksSwapsForOneHour).
mediumSource-policy conflict: staged post-deployment configuration (bindAccounting, configure, seedPool, deployHook/deployModules) instead of constructor-only setupsrc/imd/MugiIMDGameHook.sol:164
Deploy the four manifest contracts on an empty chain: no hook, token, pool or module exists and no game function can be called.
Call hook.seedPool before configure: reverts InvalidState; call configure before bindAccounting: reverts InvalidConfiguration (ledger == 0); call bindAccounting twice: second reverts InvalidConfiguration.
Only after the owner's six staged transactions does launch() become possible.
Covered by MugiV1IMDDeploymentFactoryTest and MugiIMDStateModulesTest in the repository.
mediumSource-policy conflict: crew token ships an external initializer (OpenZeppelin Initializable) even though the IMD route disables itsrc/game/MugiCrewToken.sol:37
MugiCrewToken inherits Initializable and exposes initialize() for a clone route. MugiIMDCrewToken (the token actually deployed by MugiIMDCrewFactory) runs _disableInitializers() in the base constructor and sets name/symbol/characterId/hook in its own constructor, so initialize() always reverts InvalidInitialization on deployed tokens and no proxy is used (verified: no DELEGATECALL in any runtime).
The initializer is therefore dead code on this route, but policy forbids initializers and a reviewer of the deployed ABI will see an initialize() function. Either remove the clone route from the IMD source or have the admission decision explicitly accept the disabled initializer.
Deploy MugiIMDCrewToken("Luffy","MLFY",0,hook).
Call initialize("X","Y",1,other): reverts with Initializable.InvalidInitialization(); hook() remains the constructor value.
The function nevertheless exists in the deployed ABI/runtime.
eligibleSupply() view drifts after finalization because afterBalanceChange skips wallet credits while claims still debit virtual supplysrc/imd/modules/MugiIMDLedger.sol:129
Once finalized (normal finalize or emergencyFinalize) afterBalanceChange returns early, so claimTokens/claimToken transfers from hook escrow to a player no longer add to walletScaled, while _debitVirtual still subtracts from virtualScaled. eligibleSupply(crew) = walletScaled + virtualScaled therefore decreases by every post-finalization claim even though economic ownership merely moved from virtual to wallet.
No funds are affected: no further rounds read these totals, emergencyFinalize snapshots eligibleScaled before any such claim, and expireFinalClaims zeroes both. It only breaks the public invariant that eligibleSupply is conserved by claims, which off-chain tooling (and the hook's forwarded view) may rely on.
Run nine rounds and finalize().
Read eligibleSupply(9) = S.
LATE has claimable[9] = C > 0 via previewAccount.
LATE calls claimTokens().
Expected: eligibleSupply(9) == S (virtual moved to wallet).
Actual: eligibleSupply(9) == S - C * SCALE (scratch test testEligibleSupplyViewDriftsAfterFinalization: 4664374633258949514537245118971970 before, 4620015997783949514537274846101570 after).
