Review exact source bce9c415e337fc1e4ffccd03d3f711907e5d0a63 for the already accepted public noncustodial Claus Network runtime. Prior reviewed runtime c9894f4b586332f5a0b4a9576502a3630d5d9a8b is live. This follow-up changes only adapters/source-verification.mjs to submit constructorArguements alongside constructorArguments, with identical encoded bytes, because Etherscan accepted the existing exact-compiled registration after this compatibility retry.

No source, signatures, policy, authority, amount, verification predicate or transaction semantics change. Inspect the diff, the matching source-verification tests and its immediate callers for any real regression. Version is 0.12.6.

Existing Solidity source and all prior history/evidence remain exact. Exact Sourcify creation/runtime match plus Etherscan verification remain required. Docs cursor clarification is nonruntime.

Do not treat source verification as financial safety or override the independent Claus decision. Public scope remains free projects/services, bounded sponsored reviews and readonly Ethereum/Sepolia contracts; no custody, public inference or token launch. • 1.mediumEtherscan GUID is never cleared after a terminal check failure, so the 0.12.6 constructorArguements field is never resubmitted for an already-attempted row and the deployment stays 'verifying' foreveradapters/source-verification.mjs:56

          if (!value.etherscanVerified && !value.etherscanGuid && (!value.etherscanAttemptAt || value.etherscanAttemptAt < now() - 60000)) {

Merged from audit_math, audit_flow, audit_permissions and audit_economics (same function, same mechanism, same fix). The verifysourcecode submission is gated on !value.etherscanGuid. A GUID is stored when verifysourcecode answers status '1' (line 62) and is never deleted.

When checkverifystatus later answers status '0' with a terminal result such as 'Fail - Unable to verify' (line 67), only etherscanError is recorded; the GUID remains, so every later step call skips submission (line 56), re-polls the dead GUID (lines 65-67) and returns state 'pending'. The 60 s throttle on etherscanAttemptAt is unreachable for such a row. Nothing else in the tree writes or resets 'chain-verifications' rows.

This is pre-existing in c9894f4 and is not a regression introduced by the diff, but it bounds what the diff achieves: the new constructorArguements field at line 60 only travels on a submission, and any Sepolia row whose 0.12.5 attempt was queued by Etherscan and then failed for missing constructor bytes already holds a GUID, so the compatibility retry only helps brand-new addresses or rows whose first POST was refused outright with status '0'.

Downstream: adapters/chain-executor.mjs:136, adapters/wallet-executor.mjs:49 and adapters/vault-executor.mjs:50 map any non-'verified' proof to 'verifying'; src/chain-deployments/index.mjs:166-170 then keeps the job 'waiting' with a 30 s retry indefinitely and lines 103/128 refuse a new registration for the project with 'registration_in_progress'; src/vaults/index.mjs:18 refuses vault creation while the policy binding is not 'verified'; integration/mainnet-release.mjs:74 refuses to stage a Mainnet release without a 'verified' proof.

The only exit is an out-of-band manual verification on Etherscan that makes getsourcecode return the source. No funds are at risk and the Claus decision is unaffected; this is a liveness gap in the verification state machine. The existing test only exercises 'Pending in queue' and never a terminal check result.

Minimal behaviour-preserving fix: at line 67, when checkverifystatus reports a terminal (non pending/queue) failure, keep etherscanError and etherscanAttemptAt but delete value.etherscanGuid, so line 56 resubmits after the existing 60 s backoff with both field spellings; optionally bound the number of resubmissions with a reportable terminal error. Add a test with a terminal checkverifystatus result asserting a second verifysourcecode POST.

Run against this tree with an in-memory store (no network): fetcher answers the Sourcify POST with {verificationId:'v1'}, the Sourcify GET with {runtimeMatch:'exact_match', creationMatch:'exact_match'}, getsourcecode with {status:'1', result:[{SourceCode:'', ContractName:'', SimilarMatch:''}]}, verifysourcecode with {status:'1', result:'guid-N'} (counting N), and checkverifystatus with {status:'0', result:'Fail - Unable to verify'}.

    Input: address 0x11..11 (20 bytes), creationTransaction 0x22..22 (32 bytes), constructorArguments '0x1234', artifact {entry:'src/Example.sol', contract:'Example', profile:{compiler:'0.8.27+commit.40a35a09.Emscripten.clang'}, standardInput:{language:'Solidity', sources:{}}}.

Call step(input) once, then advance the injected clock by 10 minutes and call step(input) ten more times.

Expected: after the terminal failure at least one further verifysourcecode POST (now carrying constructorArguements) or a terminal state.

Actual: verifysourcecode called exactly 1 time, checkverifystatus called 11 times, etherscanGuid stays 'guid-1', etherscanError stays 'Fail - Unable to verify', state stays 'pending'.

Saved as test/scratch/stuck-guid.test.mjs; node --test test/scratch/stuck-guid.test.mjs fails on this tree with 'expected a resubmission after a terminal failure, got 1'.

  • 2.lowSourcify POST body is JSON.parsed before the HTTP status is checked, so a non-JSON 5xx body throws an uncoded SyntaxError instead of verification_service_unavailableadapters/source-verification.mjs:43

            const result = JSON.parse(await boundedResponse(response));
            requireThat(response.ok || response.status === 409, 'verification_service_unavailable');

Line 43 parses the Sourcify verify response as JSON before line 44 checks response.ok || status === 409. The Etherscan helper request (lines 7-11) checks response.ok first and so does not have this problem. When Sourcify or a proxy in front of it returns a 502/503 with an HTML or empty-text body, JSON.parse throws a SyntaxError with no .code.

Callers fall back to a generic code: src/chain-deployments/index.mjs:190 records error.code ?? 'chain_execution_unavailable', and the wallet and vault loops have equivalent fallbacks. The retry still happens, but the recorded reason is wrong and the intended verification_service_unavailable branch is unreachable for this input, which misleads operators diagnosing a stalled Sepolia deployment.

Pre-existing in c9894f4; unchanged by this diff.

Minimal fix: move the requireThat(response.ok || response.status === 409, 'verification_service_unavailable') above the parse, or wrap the parse and rethrow with that code.

Run against this tree with an in-memory store: fetcher = async () => new Response('502 Bad Gateway', { status: 502 }); call step with address 0x11..11, creationTransaction 0x22..22, constructorArguments '0x1234' and the Example artifact described above.

Expected: rejection whose code is 'verification_service_unavailable'.

Actual: rejection is SyntaxError, message "Unexpected token '<', "502 "... is not valid JSON", code undefined, thrown from adapters/source-verification.mjs:43.

Covered by the second test in test/scratch/stuck-guid.test.mjs, which fails on this tree.

  • 3.lowPackaged OpenAPI schema and API reference still describe 0.12.5 after the 0.12.6 version bumpdocs/openapi.json:5

        "version": "0.12.5"

This commit bumps API_VERSION in interfaces/contract.mjs and package.json to 0.12.6 but did not run npm run docs:generate. docs/openapi.json (info.version 0.12.5) and docs/api-reference.md line 3 ('This source describes API 0.12.5 with 105 operations') are generated from that constant by scripts/generate-docs.mjs and now disagree with the live /openapi.json route and the MCP serverInfo, which report 0.12.6. At c9894f4 the packaged files matched the source.

Non-runtime; no behaviour change and no effect on verification or signing.

Fix: run node scripts/generate-docs.mjs and commit docs/openapi.json and docs/api-reference.md (only the version string changes; the 105-operation table is unchanged).

From the repository root: node -e "import('./interfaces/contract.mjs').then(m=>console.log(m.openapi({origin:'https://claus-network-api.vercel.app'}).info.version))" prints 0.12.6; node -e "console.log(require('./docs/openapi.json').info.version)" prints 0.12.5. node scripts/generate-docs.mjs && git diff --stat shows docs/api-reference.md and docs/openapi.json each modified by one line.

Expected: packaged schema version equals API_VERSION as it did at c9894f4.

    Actual: 0.12.5 vs 0.12.6.

  2. Audit flowAgent #976found 1 medium

The review is complete and the findings file is written and validated.

Outcome of the diff review. The change from the prior live runtime to the pinned commit is exactly what the task describes. The adapter adds a second POST body field carrying the same constructorArguments.slice(2) bytes, the test asserts both fields equal, and the version bumps to 0.12.6. The docs cursor wording matches the runtime's execution:v3: key. No signature, policy, authority, amount, verification predicate or transaction semantics change, and the exact Sourcify match plus Etherscan verification requirement is intact. The matching test file passes on this tree. I found no regression introduced by the diff itself, and the immediate callers in the chain, vault and wallet executors and the mainnet release path all pass constructor arguments unchanged.

One finding, medium severity, in the adapter under review. The resubmission gate at adapters/source-verification.mjs:56 requires no stored Etherscan GUID. When Etherscan accepts a submission and later reports a terminal check failure, the GUID is never cleared, so the verifier polls the dead GUID forever and never resubmits. That is precisely the state this release targets: a registration that previously got a GUID but failed because the backend ignored the old field name can never receive the new field. Downstream job loops retry a verifying result every 30 seconds indefinitely, keeping registration_in_progress set and approvals blocked, with no reset path in the tree. A scratch Node test under test/scratch confirms six status polls and a single submission. The fix is to drop the GUID on a terminal failure, keeping the attempt timestamp so the 60-second cooldown still applies, and to add a test for that path.

What I did not report. Parsing the Sourcify POST body before checking status, and re-posting to Sourcify on every step after a 409, are pre-existing and only degrade to retries, so they stayed out of the findings.

    • mediumEtherscan GUID is never cleared after a terminal check failure, so the corrected constructor field is never resubmitted for an existing rowadapters/source-verification.mjs:56

Resubmission to Etherscan is gated on !value.etherscanGuid. Once verifysourcecode returns status '1' the GUID is stored (line 62) and never removed. When checkverifystatus later returns a terminal failure (status '0' with a result that is not pending/queue, e.g. 'Fail - Unable to verify'), line 67 only records etherscanError; the GUID stays, so every later step call re-polls the dead GUID and never submits again.

Nothing in the tree deletes or resets chain-verifications rows. This is exactly the state the 0.12.6 change targets: a registration whose earlier submission was accepted by Etherscan but failed because the backend ignored constructorArguments already holds a GUID, so the new constructorArguements field (line 60) can never reach Etherscan for it.

Downstream, chain-deployments runOne and the vault/wallet loops map a 'verifying' result to 'waiting' and retry every 30 seconds forever; the registration keeps registration_in_progress set for the project and approvals stay blocked on module_not_verified/vault_not_verified, with no operator path other than direct database edits. The existing test only exercises 'Pending in queue' and never a terminal check result.

Fix: on a terminal checkverifystatus failure, delete value.etherscanGuid (keeping etherscanAttemptAt so the 60 s cooldown still applies) so the next step resubmits; add a test covering a 'Fail - Unable to verify' status followed by a resubmission.

State: Sourcify returns exact creation/runtime match; getsourcecode returns an empty SourceCode; verifysourcecode returns {status:'1', result:'guid-1'}; checkverifystatus returns {status:'0', result:'Fail - Unable to verify'}.

Call step(input) once, then advance now by 10 minutes and call step(input) five more times.

Expected: after the terminal failure the verifier resubmits at least once (2 verifysourcecode calls) so a corrected submission can be retried.

Actual: verifysourcecode is called once in total, checkverifystatus is called six times, etherscanGuid remains 'guid-1', etherscanError is 'Fail - Unable to verify' and state stays 'pending' indefinitely.

Confirmed with test/scratch/stuck-guid.test.mjs (node --test test/scratch/stuck-guid.test.mjs fails on this tree with 'expected a resubmission after the terminal failure; actual: 1').

  3. Audit mathAgent #1559found 1 medium, 1 low

The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds two substantiated findings. Both snippets and line numbers were checked against the tree, and the scratch tests were removed.

The diff itself is clean. Adding constructorArguements with the same bytes as constructorArguments changes nothing about routing, signatures, policy, amounts or the verification predicate. The existing adapter test passes on the pinned commit. The version bump and docs cursor wording are nonruntime.

    Findings, both in adapters/source-verification.mjs:

    • Medium, line 56. Once a verifysourcecode submission returns a guid, the guid is never cleared. A terminal checkverifystatus result such as "Fail - Unable to verify" records an error but leaves the guid in place, so the 60-second resubmission throttle is unreachable. The row stays pending forever, the deployment job retries every 30 seconds indefinitely, and a verifying registration blocks any new registration for that project. This matters for this release specifically: a row that failed under live 0.12.5 because Etherscan ignored the correctly spelled field will never receive a submission carrying the new legacy field. Reproduced with an in-memory store: one POST, then eleven dead-guid polls over 100 simulated minutes with no resubmission. Fix is to clear the guid on a terminal check result.
    • Low, line 43. The Sourcify POST body is parsed as JSON before the HTTP status check, which is the reverse of the Etherscan helper. A 502 with an HTML body throws an uncoded SyntaxError instead of verification_service_unavailable. All three job loops still retry under a generic code, so the impact is diagnostic only.

Coverage. I applied the Math Precision, Boundary and Numerical Gap passes to the adapter, its test and its four callers. There is no fixed-point or rounding math in this file; the only numeric boundaries are the 60-second throttle, the 25-second timeouts and the response size caps, which behave correctly. Hex-case sensitivity in the input hash is unreachable because every caller derives arguments from viem encoders. No Solidity source changed, so no Foundry proof applies.

    • mediumEtherscan verification is never resubmitted once a guid exists, so a terminal 'Fail - Unable to verify' pins the row in 'pending' forever and the 0.12.6 constructorArguements retry cannot reach rows tadapters/source-verification.mjs:56

The submission guard at line 56 requires !value.etherscanGuid. A guid is stored whenever verifysourcecode answers status '1' (line 62) and is never cleared. When checkverifystatus later answers status '0' with a non-pending result (line 67, e.g. 'Fail - Unable to verify'), the adapter records etherscanError but keeps the guid, so the 60-second throttle at line 56 is unreachable and no new verifysourcecode POST is ever made for that address.

The row stays state: 'pending' and every later step only re-polls the dead guid. This is the exact state the 0.12.6 change is meant to repair: under live 0.12.5 the POST carried only constructorArguments, which Etherscan ignores; Etherscan then issues a guid and the check fails when its own constructor-argument detection does not match.

Any such row already holding a failed guid is not helped by adding constructorArguements, because the new field is only sent on a submission that can no longer happen.

Upstream effect: chain-executor, wallet-executor and vault-executor map anything other than verified to verifying; src/chain-deployments/index.mjs line 166-170 keeps the job in waiting with a 30 s retry indefinitely, and lines 103 and 128 treat a verifying registration as active, so a new registration for that project is refused with registration_in_progress until someone edits the store by hand.

Minimal fix: on a terminal check result at line 67, clear value.etherscanGuid (keeping etherscanError and etherscanAttemptAt) so line 56 can resubmit after the throttle; optionally bound the number of resubmissions. Not financial safety; verification only.

State: a chain-verifications row (or fresh store) for address 0x1111…1111, Sourcify returning runtimeMatch/creationMatch 'exact_match', Etherscan getsourcecode returning SourceCode '' (not yet verified), verifysourcecode returning {status:'1', result:'guid-1'}, checkverifystatus returning {status:'0', result:'Fail - Unable to verify'}.

Call step(input) once: 1 POST, etherscanGuid='guid-1', etherscanError='Fail - Unable to verify', state 'pending'.

Advance the injected clock by 10 minutes and call step(input) ten more times (100 minutes total, far beyond the 60 s throttle).

Expected: at least one further verifysourcecode POST (now carrying constructorArguements) after the terminal failure.

Actual (run against this tree with an in-memory store): submitted stays 1, checkverifystatus is polled 11 times, state remains 'pending', guid remains 'guid-1'.

The deployment job therefore never reaches 'complete'.

    • lowSourcify POST body is JSON.parsed before the HTTP status is checked, so a non-JSON 5xx body throws an uncoded SyntaxError instead of verification_service_unavailableadapters/source-verification.mjs:43

Line 43 parses the Sourcify response body as JSON before line 44 checks response.ok || status === 409. The Etherscan helper request (lines 7-11) does these in the correct order. When Sourcify (or a proxy in front of it) returns a 502/503 with an HTML body, JSON.parse throws a SyntaxError that carries no .code.

Every caller (src/chain-deployments/index.mjs line 189-190, src/wallets/index.mjs line 169, src/vaults/index.mjs line 104) falls back to a generic *_execution_unavailable code, so the retry still happens but the recorded reason is wrong and the intended verification_service_unavailable branch is dead for this input.

Minimal fix: move the requireThat(response.ok || response.status === 409, …) above the parse, or parse inside a try that rethrows as verification_service_unavailable.

      Input: step({address:'0x'+'11'.repeat(20), creationTransaction:'0x'+'22'.repeat(32), constructorArguments:'0x1234', artifact:{entry:'src/Example.sol', contract:'Example', profile:{compiler:'0.8.27+commit.40a35a09.Emscripten.clang'}, standardInput:{language:'Solidity', sources:{}}}}) with a fetcher that answers the Sourcify POST with new Response('<html>502 Bad Gateway</html>', {status: 502}).

      Expected: rejection with code 'verification_service_unavailable'.

Actual (run against this tree): rejection is a SyntaxError, message "Unexpected token '<', "502 "... is not valid JSON", code undefined; the job records 'chain_execution_unavailable' (or wallet/vault equivalent) instead of the verification-specific code.

  4. Audit economicsAgent #1240found 1 medium

The review is complete and the findings file is written. No tracked files were changed.

The diff itself is clean. The only runtime change between the live commit and the pinned one is the extra constructorArguements field in the Etherscan POST body, carrying the same bytes as the correctly spelled field. It does not touch the input hash, the Sourcify exact-match requirement, the verified predicate, or any caller. The updated test asserts both fields, and the related suites all pass at this commit.

    CheckResult
    source-verification test3 pass
caller suites (vault, wallet, executor capabilities, mainnet release)13 pass, 0 fail

One medium finding, recorded in .imd-findings.json. The resubmission gate on line 56 of the adapter requires that no Etherscan GUID exists. Etherscan usually hands back a GUID even for jobs that later fail asynchronously, and the status poll on line 67 records the failure but keeps the GUID. From then on the adapter never resubmits, re-polls the dead GUID every 30 seconds, and the deployment stays verifying indefinitely. That matters for this release because a row whose first submission failed on the legacy backend for lack of constructor arguments can never receive the new field. Downstream, the project binding is never written, other registrations are refused as in progress, vault creation and vault reads stay blocked, and the Mainnet release staging check refuses the proof. No operator path clears the row. No funds are at risk and the Claus decision is unaffected. A scratch node test under test/scratch/ reproduces the stuck state: eleven ticks spaced ten minutes apart, one submission, eleven polls of the same failed GUID.

Suggested fix is minimal: clear the GUID on a terminal non-pending status so the existing 60-second backoff resubmits, optionally with a bounded attempt count that ends in a reportable terminal error.

Limits. Tests ran under Node 22 rather than the required Node 24. No Solidity changed, so no Foundry proof was needed and none was written.

    • mediumEtherscan GUID that ends in a terminal failure is never resubmitted, so the 0.12.6 compatibility field never reaches Etherscan for that row and the deployment stays 'verifying' foreveradapters/source-verification.mjs:56

The resubmission gate requires !value.etherscanGuid. Etherscan's verifysourcecode normally answers status '1' with a GUID even when the job will later fail (missing constructor arguments, a transient compile failure, or an expired/'Unknown UID' GUID), and checkverifystatus then returns status '0' with a non-pending result such as 'Fail - Unable to verify'.

Line 67 records that as etherscanError but keeps etherscanGuid, so on every later tick the adapter skips verifysourcecode (line 56), re-polls the same dead GUID (lines 65-67) and returns state 'pending'. There is no terminal state, no backoff and no resubmission, and nothing else in the tree writes or clears 'chain-verifications' rows.

This is exactly the path the 0.12.6 change is meant to repair: a row whose first submission was rejected because the legacy backend only reads constructorArguements can never receive the new field, because the row already holds the GUID of the failed attempt.

Downstream, chain-deployments/index.mjs:166-178 only writes 'chain-bindings' on state 'verified' and re-queues the job every 30 s indefinitely; prepareRegistration/submitRegistration refuse any other registration while one is 'verifying' (lines 103 and 128, 'registration_in_progress'); src/vaults/index.mjs:17-18 refuses vault creation until the binding is 'verified' and lines 57/65 refuse vault reads while the vault itself is 'verifying'; integration/mainnet-release.mjs:74 refuses to stage the Mainnet release without a 'verified' proof.

The only way out is an out-of-band verification on Etherscan by the operator so that getsourcecode starts returning the source. No funds are at risk and the Claus decision is unaffected; this is a liveness/flow gap in the verification state machine.

Fix (minimal, behaviour-preserving): when checkverifystatus returns a terminal non-pending failure, clear etherscanGuid (keep etherscanError and etherscanAttemptAt) so line 56 resubmits after the existing 60 s backoff, optionally with a bounded attempt counter that ends in a reportable terminal error rather than an endless 30 s poll.

State: a 'chain-verifications' row whose verifysourcecode call returned {status:'1', result:} and whose checkverifystatus then returns {status:'0', result:'Fail - Unable to verify'}; Sourcify already reports exact_match for creation and runtime; getsourcecode returns an empty SourceCode. Call step() repeatedly with the same input while advancing the clock by 10 minutes per call. Expected: after a terminal explorer failure the adapter resubmits (now carrying both constructorArguments and constructorArguements) or reaches a terminal state. Actual: verifysourcecode is called exactly once, checkverifystatus is called on every tick with the same dead GUID, etherscanError stays 'Fail - Unable to verify', state stays 'pending' and the caller stays 'verifying' forever. Review complete. The findings file holds two substantiated items and no tracked file was changed.

Scope covered. I diffed c9894f4 against bce9c41, read the whole of adapters/source-verification.mjs, its test, and every caller of verification.step (chain, wallet and vault executors, the mainnet release integration, and the job loops that consume the result). The matching test passes, and the full Node suite passes with 423 passing and 10 skipped. The change itself is sound: both constructor fields carry identical bytes, the 0x prefix is enforced before slicing, the no-argument module-deploy path yields an empty string for both fields, and the input hash, Sourcify exact-match requirement and verified predicate are untouched. No access, signing or amount semantics are reachable from this adapter.

    Findings written to .imd-findings.json

    • Medium, adapters/source-verification.mjs:56. The resubmission guard requires no stored guid. When Etherscan queues a submission and the status check then reports a terminal failure, only the error text is recorded. The guid is never cleared, so the row never submits again. That is exactly the situation this follow-up targets: a 0.12.5 row rejected for missing constructor bytes keeps its failed guid and never gets the new legacy field. The deployment job then retries every 30 seconds forever, wallet creation stays in verifying, and vault creation is refused as not verified. This is pre-existing, but it decides whether the fix reaches the rows it was written for. A scratch Node test reproducing it is embedded in the finding. Fix: drop the guid on a terminal status so the existing 60 second backoff triggers a fresh submission.
    • Low, docs/openapi.json:5. The version bump to 0.12.6 was made without regenerating the packaged docs. The packaged schema and the API reference header still say 0.12.5 while the live route and MCP server report 0.12.6. The release status page also does not record what 0.12.6 changes. Running the docs generator fixes both files.

Not reported. Explorer error text is stored and later published in verification evidence. That is prior-reviewed behaviour outside this diff and I found no rendering path that treats it as markup, so I left it out rather than speculate.

    • mediumEtherscan submission is never retried after a terminal verification failure, so the 0.12.6 compatibility field cannot reach already-attempted rowsadapters/source-verification.mjs:56

The resubmission guard requires !value.etherscanGuid. A submission that Etherscan accepts into its queue (status "1") stores a guid; when checkverifystatus later reports a terminal failure (status "0" with a result that is not pending/queue, e.g. "Fail - Unable to verify") only etherscanError is set. The guid is never cleared and etherscanAttemptAt is never consulted again, so no later step call ever submits again.

This is the exact situation the 0.12.6 change targets: a 0.12.5 attempt that sent only constructorArguments and was rejected by the legacy backend for missing constructor bytes left a persisted chain-verifications row holding a failed guid. Under 0.12.6 that row still never resubmits with constructorArguements, so the compatibility retry only helps brand-new addresses (or rows whose first submission was refused outright with status "0", which leaves no guid).

The same path also permanently stalls any deployment whose first queued attempt failed transiently on the explorer side.

Downstream effects: src/chain-deployments/index.mjs:166 treats only verified as done, so the module-deploy / project-register job stays waiting and re-runs every 30 s indefinitely (one getsourcecode + one checkverifystatus call per tick); src/wallets/index.mjs:152 and adapters/wallet-executor.mjs:49 leave project wallet creation in verifying; src/vaults/index.mjs:18 rejects vault creation with policy_not_verified while the binding is not verified.

The only exit is a manual verification on Etherscan that makes getsourcecode return the source. Pre-existing in c9894f4, but it decides whether this follow-up is effective for the rows it was written for.

Minimal fix: when checkverifystatus reports a terminal (non pending/queue) failure, record the error and drop etherscanGuid (keeping etherscanAttemptAt) so the existing 60 s backoff governs a fresh verifysourcecode submission that now carries both field spellings; optionally cap retries. Add a test with a terminal checkverifystatus result asserting a second submission.

State: a chain-verifications row for address 0x11..11 with sourcify exact matches, etherscanVerified=false, etherscanGuid="guid-1". Input: Etherscan checkverifystatus returns {status:"0", result:"Fail - Unable to verify"}; getsourcecode returns an empty SourceCode. Call verifier.step(input) repeatedly with the clock advanced by 120 s between calls. Expected: after the terminal failure a new verifysourcecode POST is made (now with constructorArguments and constructorArguements) and the row can reach verified. Actual: verifysourcecode is called exactly once for the lifetime of the row, the row keeps etherscanGuid="guid-1", etherscanError="Fail - Unable to verify" and state="pending" forever. Node reproduction (passes on this tree because it asserts the defective behaviour; the final assertion message states the expected behaviour) — save as test/scratch/etherscan-failed-guid.test.mjs and run node --test test/scratch/etherscan-failed-guid.test.mjs:

    • lowPackaged OpenAPI schema and API reference still describe 0.12.5 after the 0.12.6 version bumpdocs/openapi.json:5

This follow-up bumps API_VERSION in interfaces/contract.mjs and package.json to 0.12.6 but did not run npm run docs:generate. docs/openapi.json (info.version = 0.12.5) and docs/api-reference.md line 3 ("This source describes API 0.12.5 with 105 operations") are generated from that constant and now disagree with the live /openapi.json route (interfaces/http.mjs:55) and the MCP initialize serverInfo, which both report 0.12.6.

At c9894f4 the packaged files matched the source. docs/release-status.md line 3 likewise still introduces 0.12.5 as the current source candidate and does not record what 0.12.6 changes (the legacy constructorArguements explorer field), so a reader cannot tell from the docs which candidate adds it. Non-runtime, no behaviour change.

      Fix: run node scripts/generate-docs.mjs and commit docs/openapi.json and docs/api-reference.md; add a one-line 0.12.6 note to docs/release-status.md.

Run from the repository root: node -e "import('./interfaces/contract.mjs').then(m=>console.log(m.openapi({origin:'https://claus-network-api.vercel.app'}).info.version))" prints 0.12.6, while node -e "console.log(require('./docs/openapi.json').info.version)" prints 0.12.5.

Equivalently node scripts/generate-docs.mjs && git diff --stat shows docs/openapi.json and docs/api-reference.md modified (only the version string differs; the 105-operation table is unchanged).

Expected: packaged schema version equals API_VERSION, as it did at c9894f4.

      Actual: 0.12.5 vs 0.12.6.

  6. Audit judgeAgent #1905found 1 medium, 2 low

The review is complete and .imd-findings.json holds three substantiated findings. The working tree is otherwise unchanged.

What the diff does. Commit bce9c41 adds a second POST field, constructorArguements, with the same bytes as constructorArguments, bumps the version to 0.12.6 and extends the existing test to assert both fields. The field addition itself is correct and harmless. No Solidity, signature, policy, authority or transaction code changes, and the matching test file passes on this tree.

Findings kept, after reproducing each against the code:

    • Medium, stuck Etherscan GUID. Four specialists reported this independently; I merged them into one. A GUID stored after a queued submission is never cleared when the status check later returns a terminal failure such as "Fail - Unable to verify". The submission guard then never fires again, so the row polls a dead GUID forever and stays pending. Downstream executors map that to verifying, the deployment job retries every 30 seconds indefinitely, and new registrations for the project are refused. This is pre-existing in c9894f4, not a regression, but it limits the follow-up: the new field only ships on a submission, so rows that already failed under 0.12.5 never receive it. My scratch test fails on this tree with one submission and eleven status polls.
    • Low, Sourcify parse order. The Sourcify POST body is JSON-parsed before the HTTP status is checked. A 502 with an HTML body throws an uncoded SyntaxError instead of verification_service_unavailable, so callers record a generic unavailability code. Reproduced with a stubbed 502 response.
    • Low, docs version drift. The packaged OpenAPI schema and API reference still say 0.12.5 while the source and live route report 0.12.6. Regenerating the docs changes exactly one line in each file. Non-runtime.

Dropped or merged. No specialist finding failed to reproduce. The three stuck-GUID duplicates were folded into one finding with the proposed fix of clearing the GUID on a terminal check result so the existing 60-second backoff governs a resubmission.

Limits. The full project test suite reports 44 failing files in this checkout, all from a missing viem package in node_modules rather than from code defects. The source-verification test and both scratch reproductions run without that dependency. No Solidity was touched by this commit, so no Foundry proof was warranted.

    • mediumEtherscan GUID is never cleared after a terminal check failure, so the 0.12.6 constructorArguements field is never resubmitted for an already-attempted row and the deployment stays 'verifying' foreveradapters/source-verification.mjs:56

    • lowSourcify POST body is JSON.parsed before the HTTP status is checked, so a non-JSON 5xx body throws an uncoded SyntaxError instead of verification_service_unavailableadapters/source-verification.mjs:43
