HashNest is a home-mining comparison tool whose forest-green profit panel anchors a quiet, pale workspace.

    • High — fidelity: Limited coin coverage misses the promised comparison, especially for ASICs.
    • Medium — bug: Calculate scrolls the mobile profit summary completely above the viewport, reproduced in Chromium and WebKit.
    • Medium — taste: Promotional closing copy becomes a tall, 102px-wide column at 390px.

Validation passed: 12 calculation/data tests, 17 Chromium checks and 7 WebKit checks. WebKit used controlled API responses. Findings include exact source snippets, fixes and measured reproductions.

    • highfidelity: coin coverage falls short of the requested comparison, especially for ASICssrc/market.ts:155

Now: The market loader combines a limited GPU feed with exactly one ASIC record, Bitcoin. Each GPU preset matches 20 of the bundled 35 records, and selecting the Antminer S21 produces only one result; the coverage dialog explicitly excludes other SHA-256 coins and every-coin coverage.

Change to: Expand the existing public-feed normalization and matching benchmark coverage so supported GPU and ASIC models compare the available compatible mineable coins, including additional SHA-256 coins, and return the top ten by net USD where ten are available. Preserve honest coverage and delayed-data labels.

Why: The brief explicitly promises profit across "every mineable coin" and outputs for the "top 10 mineable coins" after entering a GPU or ASIC. Disclosing the smaller scope does not supply the missing comparison; this requires repository work, not a requester account or deployment.

At 390×844 in Chromium, open the static export with fresh browser storage and let all four public API requests finish (each returned HTTP 200).

The GPU view reports "Showing 10 of 20 coins".

Click "ASIC miner", keep Bitmain Antminer S21 and electricity $0.10/kWh with 1% pool fee, then click "Calculate profits".

Actual: document.querySelectorAll("tbody tr").length is 1, only Bitcoin is listed, and the footnote says "Bitcoin-only coverage for this ASIC."

Open "Data & coverage": it says other SHA-256 coins are not compared and this is not every mineable coin.

Expected: the requested comparison across compatible mineable coins, with up to ten ranked results rather than a hard-coded single-coin branch.

    • mediumbug: Calculate scrolls the mobile profit summary completely out of viewsrc/App.tsx:146

Now: After applying inputs below 900px, the handler focuses and scrolls to the Coin rankings heading, which follows the entire best-result panel and any loss or switch notice. The daily, weekly and monthly answer the visitor just requested is above the viewport.

Change to: Move the focus/scroll target to the beginning of the existing results section, making that section programmatically focusable, so the refreshed estimate and any warning appear before the rankings. Keep the desktop preventScroll behavior.

Why: This is a calculator: submitting inputs should reveal the calculated answer. The current jump skips its strongest answer surface and, in a loss state, the explanation that no coin covers power costs.

At 390×844 in Chromium, open with fresh storage, let the feeds settle, set Electricity cost to 0.15, and click Calculate profits.

      Actual: scrollY=1187; .best-result top=-362.34px and bottom=-4.36px; [data-testid=daily-total] top=-195.75px; #results-title top=23.64px with focus on results-title.

All three summary totals are above the screen.

Repeat with ASIC miner at $0.10/kWh: the jump also skips the no-profitable-coins notice, with .best-result top=-434.34px.

Expected: submission brings the beginning of the results, including the estimate and warning, into view.

WebKit at 390×844 with controlled fresh API responses reproduces the same jump: scrollY=1187, best-result top=-362.34px and bottom=-4.36px, after waiting two animation frames.

    • mediumtaste: promotional copy leaves a narrow, elongated tail below the calculatorsrc/App.tsx:658

Now: A closing promotional strip repeats "A clearer picture of your rig." and "Real network data. Your electricity rate. One less spreadsheet." At 390px its copy is squeezed into a 102px-wide column beside the help link, stretching a low-value message to 157px high; the tool also has the voice line "Find the best return for every watt." under its title.

Change to: Delete the bottom-note strip and its decorative icon; the existing header help button retains access to the explanation. Let the footer move up by the removed strip and its margin. Replace the title subtitle with the functional sentence "Compare estimated profit after electricity and pool fees."

Why: The supplied copy bar treats this as a task tool, whose copy should explain the task rather than add voice lines. Deleting the repeated pitch also removes the visibly cramped phone layout without adding structure or a new component.

At 390×844, open the page and scroll to the section immediately after Switch coin alerts.

Inspect .bottom-note: its height is 206.39px; the second child is only 102px wide and 157.39px tall, while the help button is 148px wide at x=226 and leaves an empty right column beneath it.

At 1440px the same copy is 348px wide and 43.80px tall.

The mobile full-page screenshot confirms the heading and three short slogans wrap into a tall sliver.

The page header separately contains the quoted voice line.

Expected: task-focused supporting copy and a footer that follows the completed tool without this promotional tail.

HashNest is a home-mining calculator whose dark-green profit summary makes the estimated return the visual focus.

    • High — fidelity: GPU coverage remains incomplete. At 390×844, select RTX 4070, $0.10/kWh and 1% fee, calculate, then search Nirmata, Frencoin, Satoxcoin or Etica: each returns zero rows. BackPoW supplies usable priced records for all four, with algorithms already supported by the presets. Nirmata calculates to approximately $0.45/day. Extend supplementary normalization to compatible GPU records while preserving delayed labels. The limiting branch is market.ts:234.
    • Fixed — bug: Calculate skipped the summary. Submission now focuses the results section; totals and loss warnings remain visible in both engines.
    • Fixed — taste: cramped promotional tail. The strip is removed, the functional subtitle is present, and the phone footer gap measures 24px.

Validation passed: 17 calculation tests, 21 interaction checks in each browser, and all 16 taste checks. WebKit interaction checks used controlled API responses.

    • highfidelity: expanded GPU rankings still omit priced compatible coinssrc/market.ts:234

Now: The ASIC-only comparison has been expanded, but GPU rows still come exclusively from CoinCalculators. At RTX 4070 the full comparison has 34 rows and excludes Nirmata, Frencoin, Satoxcoin and Etica-Etchash even though the already integrated BackPoW provider supplies usable priced network records and matching GPU benchmarks. With the existing RTX 4070 preset, Nirmata calculates to $0.452497/day after $0.10/kWh power and 1% fees, so this omission can change the top ten. This leaves the GPU portion of the original coverage finding unresolved.

Change to: Extend the existing supplementary-feed normalization to include compatible GPU records from BackPoW, using the existing algorithm presets or its sourced model-specific benchmarks; deduplicate network/algorithm entries, prefer the primary feed where available, and retain the daily/delayed labels and alert restrictions for supplemental data.

Why: The brief promises comparison across “every mineable coin” and a top ten ranked by net USD. Merely enlarging the original limited GPU feed does not include available compatible coins; this is repository work and needs no account or backend.

At 390×844 in Chromium, open the production export with fresh storage, wait for Refresh to become available (all 13 public API requests returned HTTP 200), keep NVIDIA RTX 4070, electricity $0.10/kWh and 1% pool fee, and click Calculate profits.

      Choose Show all 34.

Searching Nirmata, Frencoin, Satoxcoin or Etica individually produces 0 tbody rows and “No matching coins”.

In the same browser, GET https://backpow.com/coins-data/Nirmata.json, /Frencoin.json, /Satoxcoin.json and /Etica-Etchash.json: all return HTTP 200 with browser-readable JSON.

Their Algorithm/usdPrice values are respectively ProgPowZ/0.004414015660570886, KawPow/8.042121168055353e-8, KawPow/0.00000796 and Etchash/0.0015497789028930359; each has positive Nethash, Block time and Bl. reward and a GeForce RTX 4070 benchmark. src/data/hardware.ts already has ProgPowZ, KawPow and Etchash presets.

Expected: these usable compatible records participate in the comparison and sorting, clearly marked daily/delayed; actual: none is requested or ranked because only the SHA-256 supplement is loaded.

Independent check using src/calculator.ts and the existing RTX 4070 ProgPowZ preset (32.5 MH/s, 168 W): Nirmata revenue is $0.8643405858/day and net is $0.4524971800/day; inserting that actual provider record into the bundled comparison places it fourth.

The captured provider history is dated 2026-10-26, so the expected added row must remain marked delayed.

  6. Build websiteAgent #12517 files changed

I reproduced the finding and fixed it. GPU rankings now include the priced BackPoW networks that the primary feed is missing, including the four coins the reviewer named.

What I confirmed first: with RTX 4070, $0.10/kWh and a 1% fee, the page showed "Show all 34", and searching Nirmata, Frencoin, Satoxcoin or Etica returned nothing. BackPoW's catalog lists 69 coins for the three GPU presets, and 31 priced, usable ones were absent from the comparison.

    What changed:

    • New coin list: src/market.ts has a second list next to the SHA-256 one, covering 29 GPU networks. Each record must report the algorithm it is listed under, or it is rejected.
    • Left out on purpose: Kerrigan EquihashZero and PepePow report zero difficulty, and Tari merged mining only pays alongside Monero. Five coins with no price are also excluded. The reasons are in artifacts/DATA.md.
    • No duplicates: if the primary feed already has a network, its five-minute data is used and the daily copy is dropped.
    • Benchmarks: algorithms that already had presets (KawPow, ProgPowZ, Etchash, FiroPow) use them. The 18 that had none use BackPoW's figure for that exact card model. A card with no published figure for an algorithm gets no row.
    • Units: the new algorithms show Sol/s, graphs/s or solutions/s instead of a misleading H/s.
    • Labels and alerts: every added row is marked "Daily · Delayed" and can't trigger a switch alert. If one of these requests fails, that coin keeps its saved figures, and the failure doesn't mark the S21 view as saved.
    • Bundled snapshot: 29 real records captured today were appended; the existing lines are unchanged.

    Results:

    • Coverage: RTX 4070 / 3070 / 3060 Ti now show 51 / 60 / 51 coins, up from 34 / 33 / 33.
    • Nirmata: $0.8643 revenue and $0.4525 net per day on the RTX 4070, matching the reviewer's figure. It ranks 5th in the bundled data, with Satoxcoin 3rd.
    • Live check at 390×844 against the real APIs: all 42 requests returned HTTP 200 with no console errors. The page showed "Show all 51", and each of the four named coins gave one "Daily · Delayed" row (Nirmata 7th with live data).
    • Checks: typecheck and build passed, unit tests 19/19 (two new), browser tests 21/21 in Chromium, and the design probe 16/16. The 390 first screen is unchanged.

    Limitations:

    • WebKit wasn't rerun this round: its system libraries are missing on this machine and I didn't install system packages.
    • Request count: each 10-minute refresh now makes 42 requests instead of 13. They are small CDN files, and the extra data only updates daily.
    • Gaelium: BackPoW gives no ticker for it, so its name is shown in place of a symbol.

The export was rebuilt from the final source, and the docs have the new counts and results: README, DESIGN.md, artifacts/DATA.md, artifacts/validation.md and artifacts/BUNDLE.md. The answer to the finding is in .imd-responses.json, and nothing is committed.
