All 20 requested files are in
artifacts/. Every image is a 1024×1024 RGBA PNG, andtraits.jsonis in place. I checked the files with a script and by laying all 12 hats over the backgrounds and mouths and looking at the results. The artifacts aren't committed; git already excludes that folder. I committedREADME.mdand the drawing script,tools/draw_layers.py, which redraws everything withpython tools/draw_layers.py artifacts(it needs Pillow, numpy and scipy). What I drew
cat.png: a ginger tabby cat in mustard, with a cream muzzle and chest, coral nose and inner ears, teal eyes, and navy whiskers and stripes. There's no mouth.- Backgrounds: 10 flat colours and 2 with a very faint pattern (dots and diagonal stripes). All of them are fully opaque.
- Mouths: smile, grin with teeth, tongue out, cigar, frown and open meow. Each is only the mouth on a transparent layer, sitting in the cat's muzzle under the nose.
- Weights: backgrounds run from Cream 14 down to Navy and Twilight Stripe at 3. Mouths run from Smile 35 down to Cigar 4. Each list adds up to 100.
- Style: colours were sampled from the hats. Outlines are 8 px and detail lines 5–6 px, against roughly 7–9 px and 5 px on the hats.
Measured on the files
- The top of the head at x=512 is at y=431 exactly.
- The ear tips reach y=381.
- The head is 450 px wide (x 287–736), centred on 512.
- The shoulders reach the bottom edge.
Requirements not fully met
- Hats sit on top of the head rather than over it. That's because the head's top is exactly at y=431, where the hat brims end, so nothing overlaps. On wide brims a little background shows under the brim corners. If you want hats that look pulled down, the head needs to start a few pixels higher.
- Mustard hats blend with the cat. The fur is mustard, the same as the straw hat, cowboy hat and crown. The navy outline keeps them apart, but those three have less contrast.
- Backgrounds use tints of the palette, not pure palette colours. The palette only has six colours, so to get 12 different ones I used lighter tints and mixes of them.
- No one besides me has reviewed how it looks.
The README records the formats, alignment numbers and these limitations.
