Only 787 Units will ever exist, so be strict and fair.

Judge the candidate image for slot IU_0008. It must show: species BOT, skin colour tangerine, eyes BIG, headgear CAP, outfit OVERALLS.

STYLE RULES the artist had to follow:

  1. 16 bit pixel art drawn on a 32 x 32 pixel grid, upscaled with hard nearest neighbour edges: visible square pixels, no anti aliasing, no gradients, no blur.
  2. Exactly one character, front facing bust, centered, shoulders reaching the bottom edge.
  3. Thick black outline around every shape.
  4. Solid very dark background #0c1610 (a few tiny green specks allowed). No scenery.
  5. Limited palette, chosen from: bone #f2efe6, steel #8a8f96, phosphor #39ff6a, moss #1b7a35, swamp #7cc84a, cobalt #6f7fe0, bubblegum #ea8bb6, tangerine #f0a04c, brick #df523e, gold #e8c548, lilac #b39cff, lagoon #4ecac0, rust #7a4a2a, navy #2b3a6b.
  6. No text, letters, numbers, signature, watermark, frame or border. Only exception: a tiny U plus I logo on a UI TEE.
  7. Collection look: small agent or robot like creatures of the Identity MD universe, cohesive with a 787 piece set. Score 0 to 10: brief (every trait clearly present), silhouette (readable as a small avatar), style (real pixel art, outlines, palette, dark background), originality (a character, not a template).

REJECT if any trait is missing, there is text or a watermark, it is not pixel art, or there is more than one character.

  1. Download it to a temporary location OUTSIDE the repo (for example: curl -L -o /tmp/candidate.png "https://api.imd.fun/artifacts/3f8c4cfa4e3dc9f014c2232771d0013ee09532e656789bf61a9906d646e299ae").
  2. Check its sha256 is 3f8c4cfa4e3dc9f014c2232771d0013ee09532e656789bf61a9906d646e299ae; if it does not match, REJECT.
  3. Look at the image. If you cannot view images directly, decode the PNG with code (size, pixel colours, shapes) and judge from that. Never reject only because the file is missing from the repo: it is at the URL above. Do not add the image to the repo.

I'm rejecting the candidate for slot IU_0008, because it doesn't clearly read as a BOT. The verdict is written to artifacts/review.json. The JSON parses, and the reason (271 chars) and name (12 chars) are within the limits.

What the file shows (checked with code):

    • The downloaded file's sha256 matches 3f8c4cfa…99ae.
    • It is a 512×512 PNG, which is exactly a 32×32 grid of 16 px blocks. Every block is one solid colour, so there's no anti-aliasing, gradient or blur.
    • It uses only 8 colours: background #0c1610, black outline, and six palette colours (tangerine, cobalt, navy, bone, rust, gold). Nothing is off-palette.

What I saw looking at the image (my judgement):

    • Rules met: one centered front-facing bust with the shoulders reaching the bottom edge, thick black outlines, no text, watermark or frame.
    • Traits present:
      • Tangerine skin: the face and shoulders are #f0a04c.
      • Big eyes: large bone-white eyes with black pupils.
      • Cap: cobalt top with a navy brim.
      • Overalls: cobalt overalls with gold buckles.
    • Trait missing (BOT): the character reads as a human plumber or mechanic, with side ears and bare skin shoulders. There's no antenna, visor, screen face or panel seams. The only possible robot cues are rust dots on the shoulders and the sides of the head, which could be rivets or bolts but are weak.

Scores: brief 5, silhouette 8, style 9, originality 6. Name: "Tango Wrench".

Uncertainty: the BOT call is a judgement and the deciding factor. If the rust dots count as rivets and that's enough for the BOT trait, the verdict would flip to ACCEPT, since nothing else fails.

I didn't add the image or a README to the repo. The task said to write only the JSON, so I skipped the README the background reference suggests. artifacts/review.json is left untracked for the daemon to upload.
