The change is GitHub commit dc90723: the game page gets a favicon (a pixel-art baseball, embedded in the page as two small PNG data URLs). index.html and dev/game.html are replaced with the files from that commit; nothing else changes.

Updated index.html and dev/game.html exactly from commit dc90723e44f73e95b104148d18f273b3418909ac.

Verified both files match GitHub byte-for-byte and all three themes pass dev/validate-theme.mjs --all. Only the two permitted files changed; no rebuild was performed.

  3. Import siteAgent #18761 file changed

dist/ now holds the site as it stands in the repository: index.html, agent.md, agent-bot.mjs, LICENSE, NOTICES.md and themes/ with every file under it. That is 34 files, 1.5 MB, well under the 8 MiB limit. A diff of themes/ and a cmp of the five root files against their dist/ copies came back identical.

    • Package manager: none. The repository has no package.json or lockfile.
    • Build command: none. I ran no build and edited no file, and the copy was plain cp.
    • Where it wrote: dist/ at the repository root. I removed the old dist/ and re-copied from the repository files so the output is exactly them.

The repository's index.html already contains the favicon link, so it already matches the favicon commit. The only change from the old dist/ is dist/index.html, which now has that favicon. I did not touch .gitignore, because it doesn't ignore dist/, and I left dev/, specs/ and README.md out of dist/.

  4. Site content checkAgent #1726found 1 low, 1 info

The review is complete. The site can be hosted: nothing in the export reaches critical or high. Findings are in .imd-findings.json and no tracked file was changed.

    What was checked

    • The change itself. Root index.html and dev/game.html are byte-for-byte identical to the files at commit dc90723 in pepegobig/swarm-derby-site, and dist/index.html is byte-for-byte identical to the root file. The only diff from the previous version is the three favicon lines in the head.
    • The favicons. Both data URLs decode to valid PNGs of the declared sizes with correct chunk CRCs. Viewed, they are a plain pixel-art baseball on a dark green square, with no logo or brand mark.
    • Every script on the page. The bundled ethers library matches the npm release of ethers 6.13.4 exactly, and the bundled js-sha3 matches the 0.9.3 release. The DerbyOdds twin and the full game script were read end to end. The page loads nothing from third parties, has no iframes, no eval or dynamic code loading, and no redirects beyond a reload when the wallet account or chain changes. Wallet interactions are the disclosed ones: account request, chain switch or add for Robinhood Chain, token approvals for the exact price or bid amount to the two named contracts, and the session-key consent signature. No seed phrase, password or private key is ever asked of a visitor.
    • The rest of the export. The agent bot and agent docs, the three theme packs with their JSON and PNG assets, the notices and licence file. The theme backdrops are original cartoon scenes. The page's own theme validator rejects any pack text containing links, domains or hex addresses.

    Findings, both advisory

    • Low. The quick-swing session private key is stored in cleartext localStorage. It is a fresh key limited to spending turns with a 0.002 ETH gas cap, and the page says so. Same code as the previous version.
    • Info. The 192px apple-touch-icon is a data URL, which iOS tends to ignore for home-screen icons. Cosmetic, and not verified on a device here.

    • lowQuick-swing session private key is kept in cleartext localStoragedist/index.html:2273

index.html (the hosted game page) creates a fresh random wallet when a visitor turns on quick swings and stores its private key unencrypted in localStorage under swarm_derby:session:::. It is read back at line 2256 on every connect.

The key is not the visitor's own wallet key: it is only authorised through setSession on the SwarmDerby contract to spend the visitor's turns, and the page tops it up with at most 0.002 ETH of gas (sessionCapEth, line 1874); winnings go to the main wallet. The page tells the visitor this (line 2291: 'It can only spend your turns; winnings always go to your wallet.').

The page loads no third-party script, so only a browser extension, another page on the same origin, or local disk access could read it.

Advisory only: the exposure is bounded and disclosed, and the same code shipped in the previous version; it is not a drainer and does not stop hosting.

Open index.html, press CONNECT, confirm the Robinhood Chain switch, press '⚡ ENABLE QUICK SWINGS' and confirm the two wallet prompts.

In browser devtools open Application > Local Storage for the site origin: the key swarm_derby:session:4663:0x53d9aa0b925c5148bcc5f98f394872687f4c831c: holds a 0x-prefixed 64-hex private key in cleartext.

Expected for a stricter design: the key is encrypted at rest or kept only in memory; actual: cleartext.

    • infoapple-touch-icon uses a data: URL, which iOS home-screen icons do not reliably honourdist/index.html:9

The new favicon commit adds two icons as data URLs. The 32x32 rel=icon works in desktop browsers. The 192x192 rel=apple-touch-icon is a data: URL; iOS Safari fetches home-screen icons by URL and is widely reported to ignore data: URLs, so 'Add to Home Screen' may show a page screenshot instead of the baseball.

Both PNGs decode as valid PNGs of the declared sizes (32x32 and 192x192, RGBA, CRCs ok) and show a plain pixel-art baseball with no brand mark. Not verified on an iOS device in this review; cosmetic only, does not affect hosting.

On an iPhone open the hosted page in Safari, tap Share > Add to Home Screen.

Expected: the pixel-art baseball as the icon.

Reported actual on iOS: a screenshot of the page, because the apple-touch-icon href is a data: URL rather than a hosted PNG file.
