Build "Best Agent Workflow Finder", a small self-contained web tool: Callable API for AI agents: give it a topic (e.g., 'DeFi yield farming', 'content repurposing') and get the optimal autonomous agent workflow — steps, recommended tools, and crypto rails (IMD, x402) — ready to execute. Priced per call for agent budgets.. Create a hosted web tool (kind: tool) that accepts a topic and returns the best autonomous agent workflow (steps, tools, crypto rails).

Price at $0.25 per call to attract agent traffic and validate x402 demand. Static, runs in the browser, no wallet, no backend. Clean, fast, works on a phone.

The owner's direction: The first research pack is live.

Next priority: create callable tools that AI agents can query via x402 (not just written reports). Build tools such as: - Best autonomous agent workflow for a given topic - IMD + x402 quick starter checklist - Token safety + agent deployment checklist Price them low per call ($0.05–$0.50). Focus on tools agents will actually pay for.

Work

  1. Posted36 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #5542 files changed

Implemented the responsive tool, callable JavaScript module, JSON/Markdown exports, and complete static export in dist/.

Build/typecheck passed, along with 7 tests, 22 Chromium checks, and all 16 design checks. Delivery payload: 1.13 MB.

The $0.25/call rate is labeled as planned; live x402 payments are disabled. WebKit validation remains unavailable due to missing runtime libraries.

Installation, design details, evidence, and limitations are documented in README.md, DESIGN.md, and artifacts/validation.md.

    Not delivered: artifacts/browser-results.json, artifacts/contrast.json, artifacts/delivery-budget.json, artifacts/design-probe.json, artifacts/screenshots/agents-mobile.png, artifacts/screenshots/desktop-1440.png, artifacts/screenshots/forced-colors-focus.png, artifacts/screenshots/generated-mobile.png and 2 more. Under artifacts/, only this step's named outputs leave the machine.

The visual idea is a restrained sage workspace with numbered, connected workflow steps.

Saved four verified findings in .imd-findings.json:

    • Medium — bug: Substring matching routes unrelated topics into crypto workflows.
    • Medium — bug: Array priorities pass validation and produce schema-invalid responses.
    • Medium — bug: Documentation says budgets use cents; the engine interprets dollars.
    • Low — taste: Promotional documentation copy exceeds the desktop prose limit. The proposed edit reduces 98 words to 89.

Both browsers passed the tested controls, downloads, error recovery, accessibility scans and responsive layouts. Every finding includes exact source citations, reproduction steps and a concrete fix. Website files remain unchanged.

    • mediumbug: substring routing sends unrelated topics into crypto workflowssrc/engine.ts:961

Now: Keyword routing matches arbitrary substrings: "Define acceptance criteria" becomes a DeFi investment workflow and "Drug discovery" becomes a token-safety workflow.

Change to: Match complete words and phrases; handle intentional stems such as "repurpos" explicitly. When no meaningful domain term matches, use the existing general fallback.

Why: The main product must return a workflow appropriate to the supplied topic; these matches recommend unrelated steps, inputs and tools.

In Chromium and WebKit at 390x844 (also reproducible at 1440px), enter "Define acceptance criteria" and select Generate workflow.

The returned domain is "defi", matchedTerms is ["defi"], the first step is "Set the investment constraints", and the tools include DefiLlama and viem.

Repeat with "Drug discovery": domain is "safety", matchedTerms is ["rug"], and the first step is "Verify the token identity".

Both are also reproduced by generateWorkflow({topic: ...}) from dist/agent.mjs.

Expected: neither embedded substring triggers a crypto template; the existing general fallback is appropriate.

    • mediumbug: the callable API accepts array priorities and returns schema-invalid planssrc/engine.ts:940

Now: Object.hasOwn coerces priority to a property key, so an array such as ["cost"] passes validation. The returned priority remains an array and strict equality checks silently apply the balanced orchestration and spending policy.

Change to: Require typeof priority === "string" before checking Object.hasOwn(PRIORITIES, priority); otherwise throw the existing WorkflowInputError for field "priority".

Why: The agent interface promises corrective errors for invalid input and a structured response conforming to its published schemas.

At any viewport width (including 390px), open the site and evaluate window.workflowFinder.generate({topic:"Market research",priority:["cost"]}); alternatively call the downloaded module with that same JSON input.

It returns priority:["cost"], tools[0].id:"langgraph" and the balanced policy, without throwing.

The input schema requires a string enum and the output schema also requires a scalar enum, so this returned plan violates the output contract.

Expected: WorkflowInputError with field "priority", as for other invalid priorities.

Confirmed in both Chromium and WebKit; validating the returned plan against output-schema.json produces an enum failure at /priority.

    • mediumbug: agent documentation describes a dollar-valued budget as centssrc/App.tsx:885

Now: The budgetUsd input contract says "A run ceiling from 0 to 10,000 USD, in cents", although the engine treats the supplied number as dollars.

Change to: Replace this with "A run ceiling from $0 to $10,000, with at most two decimal places. Your executor must enforce it."

Why: Agent developers need an unambiguous unit; supplying 500 cents for a $5 budget currently produces a $500 ceiling in the exported plan.

At 390px, open For agents and scroll to Input contract > budgetUsd.

The rendered text says "in cents".

Call window.workflowFinder.generate({topic:"Market research",budgetUsd:500}).execution.budgetUsd: actual result is 500, and rails[0].actions[1] says "Apply the $500.00 total run ceiling and a $0.50 per-request cap in your executor."

Calling with budgetUsd:5 produces the $5.00 ceiling.

Expected: documentation explicitly says dollar values with cent precision, matching the callable engine.

    • lowtaste: the agent docs spend their copy budget on a promotional subtitlesrc/App.tsx:789

Now: "The same local engine. Structured input. Portable output." sits beneath the agent-docs heading, followed by a wordy import introduction. The desktop first screen contains 98 prose words against the 90-word bar.

Change to: Delete that subtitle and let the existing API layout move up; replace the first module-introduction paragraph with "Import the downloaded module; no dependencies or network." Keep the payment-status and setup limitations.

Why: This is task documentation, so the opening should help an agent developer call the tool. The cut removes promotional fragments without hiding integration requirements.

At 1440x900, open /#agents without scrolling. taste@1 reports copy-budget: "prose on the first screen: 27 words at 390 (bar 60), 98 at 1440 (bar 90)".

The screenshot shows the three-fragment subtitle above the module and the longer import paragraph.

Applying only the proposed text edits in the browser DOM reduces the same probe calculation to 89 words and moves the module heading up 13.2px.

The entry builder page passes 16/16 checks; this isolated issue is on the agent-docs route.
