Keep the same site label blackout-mine-the-city-pray-the.sites.imd.fun, every live address, proof file, root check, the v9 Packs flow (Buy pack with ETH) and the 16-bit pixel identity.

Reliability first:

  1. RPC: viem fallback transport over https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com, https://robinhood.drpc.org, https://robinhood-rpc.publicnode.com with retries and exponential backoff; multicall batching for all reads; cache static reads (addresses, roots, ABIs, item metadata); poll at most every 15 s and only for the visible page; on a failed read keep the last good value and show a small "reconnecting" badge. Never show "HTTP request failed" to the player.
  2. Errors: map every contract error to plain words (InvalidValue, TooEarly, InsufficientBalance, FeatureDisabled, NotConfigured, PriceLimitedBuy, PartialFill) with the exact reason for that action.

Make it juicy: 3. Animated pixel city on home: lights flicker, rigs hum, a district blacks out and comes back during grid events, sparks on the substation; subtle parallax; respects prefers-reduced-motion. 4. Pack opening as a moment: card shake, glow, flip, each of the 3 items pops with rarity color and particles (Common grey, Rare cyan, Epic magenta, Legendary yellow, Mythic rainbow), sound effects with a mute toggle (off by default on mobile). 5. Farm as a visual room: 4 rooms drawn as pixel server rooms with 6 rack slots; tap an item then a slot (or drag on desktop); installed items blink while mining; live "mining" counter ticking toward the epoch end. 6. Live activity ticker on every page from chain events: "0x67…0978 opened a pack: Epic GPU", "new miner joined", epoch closed with total paid. 7. Big readable numbers, rounded and with $ value next to BLACKOUT amounts.

Player-friendly: 8. "Start mining" onboarding with 3 steps and a progress bar: Connect -> Buy your first pack -> Place hardware. Persistent on every page until done, then replaced by "Your farm is mining". 9. Item gates shown before tapping: level requirement (Rare any, Epic level 3, Legendary 5, Mythic 10), farm level and XP bar, "One of each type per room"; items you cannot place are greyed with the reason. Never a raw revert. 10. Rewards card: pending rewards, claim tax now and when it drops, next epoch countdown, "+100 XP each epoch you mine", estimated earnings per epoch from the last epoch. 11. Pack price explainer next to the buy button: "Price follows the average farm's daily yield and rises with demand", with the current price in ETH and $. 12. Starter claim: countdown until launchTime()+48h, then enabled; "Closed" after the window. Free pack section only for the 11 allowlisted wallets; others see "Your wallet is not on the free pack list". 13. Leaderboard: top farms by hash this epoch and best district, read from chain. 14. Mobile first: bottom tab bar (Home, Packs, Farm, Rewards, More), large tap targets, one primary action per screen, no jargon on main screens (technical detail stays on Docs and Contracts).

Tests: build passes, fixtures for RPC fallback (primary down, all down), error mapping, pack reveal animation with reduced motion, placement gates, claim windows, leaderboard reads, and the existing v9 flows.

Revision needed: 1 high and 2 medium findings. Saved to .imd-findings.json.

    • High — bug: fallback providers reject the receipt and activity log ranges. With the primary blocked, prices recover but purchased packs remain undiscoverable. Adaptively split rejected ranges and test actual provider limits.
    • Medium — bug: the 15-second refresh restores the inventory filter’s label but displays all hardware. Reapply filtering after rendering.
    • Medium — fidelity: player pages expose block numbers, proof terminology and contract names. Move technical details to Docs/Contracts and use plain eligibility guidance.

Each finding includes exact source citations, measured reproduction and a concrete fix. Application files remain unchanged.

Requirement coverage follows. Bare filenames refer to web/src/; “missing” identifies incomplete behavior.

    • highbug: fallback providers reject the log ranges used to find packs and city activityweb/src/receipts.ts:14

Now: receipt discovery starts at genesis in 9,999,999-block chunks; web/src/community.ts:21 also requests 20,000-block activity chunks. When the primary RPC is down, the unchanged queries are rejected by both configured fallbacks. Contract reads can recover and show a current ETH price while purchased packs remain undiscoverable and the activity feed cannot load.

Change to: make both log readers adaptively split provider-rejected ranges, retain their successful cursors, and begin historical pack discovery at the verified deployment block. Add primary-down fixtures that enforce the actual fallback log limits instead of accepting every range. Keep the mandated providers, addresses and proof checks.

Why: the brief requires working RPC fallback, chain activity on every page and preservation of the v9 purchase/reveal flow. Retrying an unsupported range cannot restore those features.

      Chromium, 390×844, fresh localStorage, /#/packs.

Connect a read-only injected wallet for 0x83027ad9d0d5374335086c539dadd1db983441b0 on chain 4663; fulfill only https://rpc.mainnet.chain.robinhood.com/ with HTTP 503 and allow the other two real RPCs through.

After 22 seconds the quote reads approximately 0.00015605 ETH, but #receipt-list says Reconnecting to your packs… / Finding your packs… and the status is Reconnecting.

Captured fallback eth_getLogs responses for generated range 0–9,999,998: dRPC HTTP 400/code 35, ranges over 10000 blocks are not supported on free plan; PublicNode HTTP 403/code -32602, Archive requests require a personal token.

The activity reader’s recent 20,000-block range produced the same pair of rejections.

Control requests spanning 100 recent blocks succeeded with HTTP 200 on both providers.

Expected: fallback also discovers receipts and activity, rather than permanently retrying unsupported ranges.

    • mediumbug: polling resets the hardware filter results while retaining its selected labelweb/src/main.ts:76

Now: render(true) restores the inventory-filter value after replacing the Farm DOM, but does not restore the hidden state of the item rows. The selected filter and visible items disagree after each refresh.

Change to: reapply the inventory filter to the new [data-item-equipped] rows immediately after restoring #inventory-filter, using the same predicate as the change handler.

Why: players use In inventory to choose spare hardware; installed items must not silently return under that label while they are choosing an item.

      Chromium and WebKit, 390×844, /#/farm.

Use the existing web/tools/interactions.ts fixture with its default item #1 unequipped and item #2 equipped; connect Fixture Wallet on chain 4663.

      Select Show → In inventory.

Initially #inventory-filter.value is spare and only #item-1 is visible.

Wait 16.5 seconds for the normal 15-second poll (or click Refresh data and let reads finish).

Actual: the select still says In inventory, but both #item-1 (data-item-equipped=false) and #item-2 (data-item-equipped=true) are visible.

      Expected: only #item-1 stays visible.

The Installed filter has the reciprocal failure.

    • mediumfidelity: player pages still expose proof and contract terminologyweb/src/views.ts:57

Now: Packs shows “free allowlist”, an Ethereum snapshot block number and “token IDs”; City says “No submitted next plan; autonomous fallback applies”, and City/Season/Billboards describe the Civic contract’s flags. These are player screens, not the technical reference.

Change to: use “Check your wallet for a starter pack”, “Connect to check your eligible Identity MD NFTs”, and “The city will choose the next event automatically”. Keep the block number and proof explanation in the existing Docs/Contracts pages; remove that paragraph from Packs so the countdown and eligibility controls move up. Replace the Civic messages with “District stakes are coming soon”, “Season rewards are coming soon”, and “Billboards are coming soon”.

Why: brief item 14 explicitly keeps technical detail in Docs and Contracts and asks for plain words on the main screens. Players need eligibility, timing and the next action, not contract implementation terms.

      Chromium, 390×844, no wallet required.

Open /#/packs and scroll to Starter packs: the rendered .pack-claims panel is 358×308.73 CSS px and visibly says “For snapshot holders and the free allowlist”, “Snapshot: Ethereum block 26182375, token IDs 0–1999”, and “Connect to check your eligible token IDs”.

Open /#/city after its live reads finish: Grid dispatch shows “No submitted next plan; autonomous fallback applies”, and the disabled stakes section names Civic. /#/season and /#/billboards repeat Civic implementation wording.

Expected: plain eligibility and coming-soon guidance here, with block/proof/contract details in Docs or Contracts.

  4. Build websiteAgent #7435 files changed

Fixed all three findings and rebuilt dist/: adaptive RPC scans, persistent Farm filters, and clearer player copy.

Build, typecheck, and Chromium/WebKit checks passed. Bundle size: 2.48 MB.

Historical reads can still hit public-provider timeouts/archive restrictions; progress is retained. Details and reviewer responses are in validation.md and .imd-responses.json.

The three previous findings are resolved in the repository. No new defect was substantiated. .imd-findings.json contains {"findings":[]}.

    • RPC ranges — fixed: both readers adapt rejected ranges and retain progress. Chromium and WebKit pass recovery, interruption/resumption, and outage-retention fixtures with 10,000- and 100-block limits. The deployment boundary matches the live factory receipt.
    • Inventory filter — fixed: both filter options survive Refresh; “In inventory” and keyboard focus survive the normal poll in both browsers.
    • Player wording — fixed: the reported terminology is replaced on Packs, City, Season and Billboards. Snapshot/proof details remain in Docs.

The build passes and exactly reproduces the supplied export. Each browser passes 52 flow checks and 7 revision checks, with zero application errors and zero axe violations across six tested states. Transactions were simulated.

Complete live historical recovery with the primary RPC disabled remains unverified. My live scan advanced to block 88,336,414 in 123 seconds but had not finished. This does not reproduce the former fixed-range failure.
