Continue and completely upgrade the Squeek Predict project into a professional, polished prediction market website that looks and feels like a real modern betting platform.

Goal: Transform the current basic frontend into a high-quality, engaging and professional site inspired by real prediction markets / sports betting interfaces, while staying fully on-chain and using Squeekchain data.

Design requirements:

  • Clean, modern and professional UI (dark mode preferred with accent colors)
  • Smooth animations and transitions
  • Clear market cards with odds-style presentation
  • Good mobile experience
  • Professional typography and spacing
  • Subtle but nice visual effects (not childish)

Features to add or improve:

  • Many more realistic betting markets related to the hamster, for example:
    • Number of Squeek blocks in the next 1h / 3h / 6h / 12h / 24h / 7 days
    • Over/Under different thresholds
    • Longest continuous run in the next 24h
    • Morning / Afternoon / Evening / Night activity comparison
    • Will the hamster be active in the next X hours
    • Personal record attempts
    • Custom time windows
  • Live or near-live hamster wheel status / activity indicator
  • Market list with filters (Open, Settled, by duration, by type)
  • Clear bet slip / position view
  • Easy claim flow
  • Nice empty states and loading states
  • Professional header with logo and wallet connection

Technical:

  • Keep using the existing Squeek Predict contracts on Sepolia
  • Continue reading real data from SqueekCore
  • Make the site actually usable and pleasant to navigate
  • Update the README if needed

The final result should look like a serious but fun prediction market product, not a basic demo.

Work

  1. Posted18 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #37739 files changedsent back

The Squeek Predict site is rebuilt as a dark, sportsbook-style prediction market. It still uses the existing SqueekPredict contract on Sepolia and reads live data from SqueekCore. The final checks passed. Nothing is committed yet: this machine has no git author identity, so all 37 changed files are staged but not committed.

One limitation to know first: the contract can only settle one kind of bet, "more than X Squeek blocks over a 24-hour or 7-day window". Nothing could be deployed in this job, so markets on 1h/3h/6h/12h windows, longest runs and morning-vs-night comparisons are shown as stats in a "Wheel form" panel, not as bets. Making those bettable needs a new contract version. The README and the panel itself both say this.

    What the site now does:

    • Market cards with odds: each market shows as an over/under line. "More than 1,000 blocks?" appears as Over 1,000.5 / Under 1,000.5, so exactly 1,000 counts as Under, matching the contract. Odds are based on the pools, e.g. 1.67x, and a side nobody has bet on yet reads "Open".
    • Wheel form panel: real certified data, including blocks per 10-minute round over the last 24 hours, totals for 1h to 7 days, longest run, best 24 hours this week, and night/morning/afternoon/evening activity. A status card says whether the wheel was running and how far behind the data is. SqueekCore's certified data currently runs about 8 days behind real time, so the site states that, and results can take days to arrive.
    • Filters and sorting: by status (Open / In play / Settled), length, market type and search; sorted by closing soon, biggest pool or newest.
    • Bet slip: opens from an odds button, as a bottom sheet on phones.
    • Creating markets: six suggested markets with lines taken from the last 7 days ("will it run at all", "beat this week's record", "night shift from 18:00", a weekly line, a custom one). You can pick any start time from 65 minutes to 7 days ahead.
    • My bets: a one-tap Claim for each payout, plus loading skeletons and empty and error states.
    • There are currently no markets on-chain, so the live site opens on an empty board with the suggested markets. I didn't add any fake markets.

Checks (after the last code change):

    • The production build and typecheck passed. The build warns that the main script file is large (656 kB) because of the wallet libraries.
    • 8/8 unit tests passed.
    • 10/10 browser interaction tests passed in Chromium with a simulated wallet and blockchain. They covered filters, betting, creating, claiming, resolving and an outage with retry. They also confirmed at 390 and 320 wide that the main action is on the first screen with no sideways scrolling, and an automated accessibility scan found no problems.
    • The design review script passed 16/16 against live Sepolia data. Fixes it prompted are listed in artifacts/validation.md.
    • Not tested: Safari, real phones, screen readers, native browser zoom, and real wallet signatures. No transaction was sent.

DESIGN.md documents the final colors, type, components and responsive behavior. The README covers install, preview, rebuild and how to use the site. I removed two outdated check files from the previous job and replaced the screenshots.

    • highbug: valid long market lines widen the entire phone layoutweb/src/styles.css:131

Now: The odds and side-picker grids use intrinsic minimum widths, while on-chain threshold labels have no wrapping rule. A valid uint64 threshold expands every market card beyond the phone viewport and makes the bet slip horizontally scroll; even the ordinary 1,000.5 line overflows its side picker at 320px.

Change to: Use repeat(2, minmax(0, 1fr)) for the odds and side-choice grids, give their children min-width: 0 and the complete numerical labels overflow-wrap: anywhere, and stack the side label and multiplier on narrow screens. Preserve the full threshold and odds; do not clip or ellipsize them.

Why: The brief requires a good mobile experience and clear betting lines. Markets are permissionless, and thresholdValue accepts the entire uint64 range, so one valid market must not break the board for every visitor.

Chromium, 390x844 and 320x844: In the existing RPC browser fixture, change only markets[1].threshold to 18446744073709551615n (the accepted uint64 maximum); load the board and wait for entry animations to finish.

At 390px, documentElement.clientWidth=390 but scrollWidth=567, and all cards become 551.0625px wide.

The same board is 567px wide at a 320px viewport.

Open that market's odds button: the 390px dialog has clientWidth=388 and scrollWidth=744, hiding the second side offscreen.

With the normal threshold=1000n at 320px, the slip still has clientWidth=318 and scrollWidth=327.

Expected: full lines and both sides readable within the viewport, with no horizontal scrolling.

    • highbug: the wallet action overflows phone and tablet headersweb/src/styles.css:301

Now: The non-wrapping header does not fit its utilities in two reachable states: the disconnected desktop layout at 761–826px, and the 'Switch to Sepolia' state at 375/390px. The wallet action crosses the right edge and the page scrolls horizontally.

Change to: Apply the existing compact-header rules through max-width: 850px, and hide only the brand text (retaining its linked logo and accessible name) at max-width: 420px, or otherwise make room for the full network-switch action without clipping it.

Why: The brief requires a professional header, easy wallet connection and a good mobile experience. A wrong-network visitor needs to read and reach the full action on the first screen.

Chromium, 390x844: Use the existing browser fixture's mock EIP-6963 provider (no real wallet/signature), connect its Test Browser Wallet, then emit chainChanged('0x1') using window.setTestChain('0x1').

The header says 'Switch to Sepolia'; documentElement.clientWidth=390 but scrollWidth=407, and the button spans x=200.359375 to x=407.046875, clipping its right edge.

      Repeats at 375px.

Separately, load the default disconnected export at 768x844: scrollWidth=827 and Connect wallet ends at x=826.640625, 58.64px outside the viewport.

      Repeats at widths 761, 800 and 820.

Expected: the full wallet action fits and the page never scrolls horizontally.

    • mediumbug: partial SqueekCore history failures are displayed as zero activityweb/src/history.ts:35

Now: readWheelStats accepts as little as 80% of its history responses, and computeStats converts every missing endpoint to zero. The board then presents incomplete totals, run lengths and Running/Resting status as certified activity, and uses these values to suggest betting lines.

Change to: Reject an incomplete history read and use the existing wheel-history error/retry state, or retain unknown values for every metric that depends on a missing endpoint; never substitute zero for an unavailable read.

Why: The brief requires real SqueekCore data and a truthful wheel activity indicator. An RPC failure is not evidence that the hamster rested.

Chromium, 390x844 (also independent of viewport): Use the existing browser RPC fixtures, with settledThroughRound=100000 and roundPage(r,r,0).end.cumulativeBlockUnits=r31000000000.

Return RPC errors for rounds 99995 through 100000 on all fallback RPCs, and valid data for the other 283 of 289 requested rounds.

      The 80% gate succeeds.

Wheel form shows 0 blocks for all six windows and 'Resting in the last certified hour', without a warning/retry.

The identical complete dataset reports 18/54/108/216/432/3024 blocks and Running.

Expected: an incomplete-history/error state, not certified zero totals or Resting.

    • mediumfidelity: Runs and Rests describe a different event from the wagerweb/src/model.ts:89

Now: A threshold-zero market is described as whether the hamster runs, with Runs/Rests sides. It actually settles whether a whole Squeek block completes. The wheel badge, longest-run and active-round labels also infer activity solely from completed blocks, so positive certified work that stays within a partial block is called resting.

Change to: Rename the threshold-zero question to 'Will the hamster complete a block in this 24-hour window?' and its sides to 'At least one block' / 'No blocks'; update the Wake-up call preset to match. Label the existing status and run statistics as rounds with completed blocks, or determine activity from certified work rather than whole-block deltas. Keep the existing contract and transaction rules unchanged.

Why: The brief asks for realistic markets and a clear activity indicator. Before staking, visitors need the event they are actually betting on; running and completing a block are not equivalent.

Chromium, 390x844: In the existing RPC fixture set market #1 threshold=0.

For history, return a positive cumulativeWork increment each round, but cumulativeBlockUnits=r*1000 for rounds near 100000 (all endpoints remain below one whole 1000000000-unit block).

After history loads, the card asks 'Will the hamster run...' with Runs/Rests odds, while the badge says 'Wheel resting' and the panel says '0 of 144' active rounds despite positive work in all 144 rounds.

Independently, a threshold-zero market with startBlockUnits=100000000 and endBlockUnits=500000000 settles NO/Rests because both whole-block heights are zero, despite increasing work.

Expected: block-completion wording for this wager and no claim that zero completed blocks proves zero activity.

All four prior findings are fixed. .imd-findings.json contains {"findings":[]}.

    • Long market lines: uint64 maximum thresholds fit at 320/390/1440px. Phone document widths are 320/390px; slip client and scroll widths both equal 318/388px. Complete labels remain readable.
    • Wallet header: disconnected, connected and wrong-network states fit all 16 tested widths, including the reported phone/tablet failures. Network switching works through the mock provider.
    • Incomplete history: missing and uncertified endpoints produce unavailable/retry states. Recovery restores exactly 18/54/108/216/432/3,024 blocks.
    • Wager wording: zero-threshold markets use “At least one block / No blocks.” Positive partial-block work produces no resting claim; streak labels explicitly describe completed blocks.

The 15 Chromium scenarios passed across bounded runs. Live reads from all three supplied RPCs matched the pinned Sepolia deployment, runtime and ABI. The live board had zero markets and disclosed that certification was eight days behind. At 390px, Create market occupies y=235–279px.
