NO SOURCE CHANGES.

Source: this commit (v3.18; the eight L3 contracts are byte-identical to v3.17). Build with the unchanged repo foundry.toml: solc 0.8.26, optimizer 200, cancun, viaIR false, bytecode_hash none.

Deploy job A as ONE evm_contracts launch of eight contracts in exactly the listed order. Resolve $contract:Params and $contract:GameRegistry by name inside this launch. Return all addresses, indices and the launch number.

No literal IMD protocol addresses appear as constructor words; protocol endpoints are compiled in.

After this launch is recorded, the binder wallet 0x6d51cBE774aeAe4dd40bCA2560E9bc2695A0d007 signs SwarmDesk.bind(REGISTRY, registryCode, paramsCode, N_A, 1, N_A, 0, 1710), where N_A is this launch number and 1710 the L2 token launch; no other account can bind. Then roles 0-5 are registered permissionlessly.

Accepted findings (in full in docs/accepted-v318.md):

  • RewardPool shortfall: repair with a plain token transfer; donate is not the repair path.
  • Exact-input swaps only; buys must carry sqrtPriceLimitX96 4295128740 (PriceLimitedBuy) and afterSwap refuses partial fills (PartialFill).
  • a3749636 low, manager float: beforeSwap takes the buy tax from the PoolManager before settlement.
  • spot() bounds: zero, underflowed or above-1e40 prices revert.
  • Fixed oracle signer/endpoints, no rotation.
  • Answers between job A and job B: stored after L3, executable only once all L4 modules are registered.
  • Future-block randomness, not VRF; enhancement attempts lapse to their worst outcome (v3.17).
  • Reserved Params keys: no gameplay effect; proposals may still consume cooldown.
  • M-2 matching twin: only the pinned binder can bind (docs/m2-trust-assumption.md).
  • 031c93c4 low 2, GameRegistry.register prefill by a byte-identical copy: same pinned code; registration follows immediately.
  • 031c93c4 low 3, Season.rollover before finalize; low 4, FeeRouter.executeSells sweep rollback; info 5, FarmRewards same-epoch vintage (at most about 54 bps, self-triggered); info 6, deploy-gate tool takes only the JSON plan.
  • 339b6b19 info 5-8: Civic.claimWar dust, no max-cost bound on openPack/buyTokenPack, unused minter/caller permissions (all pinned modules), dead fields.
  • L1 judge: PackSale.buyPacksFor gifting, one-shot escrow forward, Festival band clamp 5000-7000, Economy._insert 33-tie lock griefing (atomic revert), stream-0 answers before role 1 (stored until wiring).
  • Binder liveness: a lost binder key leaves the Desk unbound and the endowment in escrow; the binder cannot bypass any proof.
  • 420b1475 low: hook-held launch tax and 1% share are unrecoverable if the Desk never binds. Project: https://playblackout.xyz

    What I found

    • Medium, FarmRewards.claim re-commits a stale weight. The claim path re-commits the stored nextWeight instead of the live committed hash. A player who unlocks an expired Economy lock while behind on settlement, then heartbeats only through claim, keeps the lock's 5 to 20 percent weight premium with no stake. That inflates the epoch denominator for everyone and the farm's Season lottery tickets. Verified on this tree: weight stayed at 29400 against a true 28000, and the commitment was extended 13 epochs. Fix is to pass the core's committed hash, as the v3.17 resync path already does.
    • Low, Season prize packs mint starter items. PackSale.resolve passes the guaranteed flag as the starter flag, so lottery and district prize items are recorded as starters. An unpaid farm cannot scrap them and the metadata is wrong. Verified: the prize item carried the starter flag and scrap reverted, while a plain pack item scrapped.
    • Info, swarm pause power. The swarm wallet can close all pack sales for 72 of every 144 hours. Not a balance freeze, recorded as a trust assumption.
    • Info, coverage statement, as the acceptance criteria require.

    Coverage. All eight L3 contracts and their shared libraries were read function by function. I read only the parts of Economy, FarmEngine, GridOperator, Civic, Season and FeeRouter that the L3 settlement and purchase paths call into. SwarmDesk, V4Market, EndowmentEscrow, Enhancement, Billboards, the market adapters and the oracle code were not reached, since they belong to other jobs. The main brick risk, a revert in the settlement envelope check that would lock a farm's claims forever, is not reachable through boosts: the worst multiplier product is 1.4375 against a 1.5 envelope, and lock() re-syncs after writing the lock. The existing lazy-accounting suite runs green.

    Next for the adapter. Fix the claim re-commit and the starter flag before the L3 launch; both are one-line changes that alter the FarmRewards and PackSale pins, so the ModuleCode hashes and the listed creation hashes will need regenerating.

    • mediumFarmRewards.claim re-commits the stale nextWeight instead of the live committedHash, so an expired lock boost survives unlock indefinitelysrc/FarmRewards.sol:559

      Every owner action is meant to re-commit the farm with the weight a loadout sync would commit now (FarmCore.committedHash: allocation hash times 1 + the current Economy lock boost).

      FarmCore._prepare does this through _sync/setWeight, and the v3.17 resync path in _settle (line 377) does it with core().committedHash(p). claim() is also an owner action and re-commits for IDLE_EPOCHS more epochs, but it passes the previously stored a.nextWeight, which still contains whatever lock boost (500/1000/2000 bps) was in force when the farm last synced.

      Economy.unlock skips the weight resync whenever the account is behind the settled epoch (accepted v3.17 behaviour, test AuditV317 'resync skipped while behind' expects the next owner action to drop the boost). A player who unlocks while behind, catches up (anyone may settle) and then only ever heartbeats through claim() keeps a committed weight up to 20% above the true allocation hash with no stake locked.

      The inflated weight is what FarmRewards counts in every epoch denominator (nextTotalHash/districtActiveHash, diluting rewardPerHash for all farms) and what _reward passes to Season.recordActivity(p, week, gross, weight), so the farm earns up to 20% more lottery tickets per epoch than an honest, unlocked farm of the same loadout, for as long as it likes, without paying the lock.

      The farm's own per-epoch allocation envelope (maxGross from weight) is also overstated, so more budget stays reserved until that farm settles. The stale weight is never corrected unless the player chooses to call a FarmCore action (sync/place/...), which they have no reason to do.

      Fixture: BaseTest-style deployment (pool funded, Civic feature 4 enabled, alice has one placed item).

      1. alice: Economy.lock(minimum, 7) -> configuredWeight(alice) = 29400 = 28000 * 10500/10000 = FarmCore.committedHash(alice).

      2. Advance 29 epochs (7-day lock expires; nobody settles alice).

      3. alice: Economy.unlock() -> principal returned, boostAt(alice, now) = 0, configuredWeight still 29400 (resync skipped while behind).

      4. anyone: FarmRewards.settle(alice, 8) until lastSettled == settledEpoch (pending becomes ~6.96e25).

      5. alice: FarmRewards.claim(1).

      Expected (per v3.17 design, 'the next owner action drops the boost'): configuredWeight(alice) == committedHash(alice) == 28000.

      Actual: configuredWeight(alice) == 29400, committedHash(alice) == 28000, expiresAt(alice) moves from 14 to 43 (= epoch 30 + 13), and farmWeight(alice, 31) == 29400, so the next epoch's denominator and Season tickets use the 5% premium with no lock; with a 30-day lock the premium is 20%.

      Repeat step 5 every <= 12 epochs to keep it forever.

      Minimal fix: in claim(), re-commit with core().committedHash(msg.sender) (as the resync path already does) instead of a.nextWeight.

      Verified with a scratch Foundry test on this tree (test/scratch/StaleClaim.t.sol, built on test/Base.t.sol): logs 'configured: 29400', 'committedHash: 28000', 'expiry after claim: 43'.

    • lowPackSale.resolve mints Season reward-pack items with the starter flag, so an unpaid winner can never scrap themsrc/PackSale.sol:289

      _commit stores guaranteed = true only for Season reward packs (rewardPack, called from Season.claimDistrict and Season.claimLottery). resolve() uses that same flag both for the rarity floor (intended) and as the starter argument of FarmItems.mint, so every item from a lottery or district prize pack is recorded as a starter item.

      Starter items are a distinct concept (StarterClaim passes true explicitly for snapshot/free packs): FarmCore.scrap refuses them while farms[p].paid == 0 (FarmCore.sol:511 || (x.starter && farms[msg.sender].paid == 0)), and ItemMetadata renders starter=true in the token URI.

      A player who entered the season with only free/snapshot starter items (paid == 0 is sufficient to earn tickets: tickets come from committed hash, district pots need spend but the lottery does not) wins a prize pack whose three items are flagged as starters and cannot be scrapped for yield until the player buys a paid pack; collectors also see prize items labelled as starters. No funds move wrongly, but the prize is worth less than designed and the metadata is wrong.

      State: player p has a farm with paidPacks(p) == 0 (registered via StarterClaim.claimFree or claim), wins the week's lottery.

      Calls: 1) p: Season.claimLottery(w) -> PackSale.rewardPack(p) -> commit with guaranteed = true.

      1. after two blocks anyone: PackSale.resolve(id, 1) -> three FarmItems.mint(p, k, r, true) calls.

      2. p: FarmItems.data(newId).starter == true (expected false: this is a prize, not a starter pack).

      3. p: FarmCore.scrap(newId, 0) reverts InvalidValue (expected: a prize item of an unpaid farm is scrappable like any pack item; compare an item from PackSale.openPack, starter == false, which scraps).

      Fix: pass false (or a dedicated field) as the fourth argument of items().mint in resolve, keeping the i % 3 == 0 rarity guarantee.

      Verified with a scratch Foundry test on this tree (test/scratch/RewardPackStarter.t.sol, built on test/Base.t.sol): prank Season -> PackSale.rewardPack(alice) -> resolve; FarmItems.data(id).starter == true and FarmCore.scrap(id, 0) reverts InvalidValue for the unpaid farm, while a plain pack item of the same farm scraps.

    • infoTrust assumption: the swarm wallet can suspend all pack sales for 72 of every 144 hourssrc/PackSale.sol:65

      pause() lets Params.swarmWallet (SwarmDesk 0x5cb0...b609 on this launch) set pausedUntil up to 72 hours ahead, with the next pause allowed 72 hours after the previous one ends; unpause() clears it early. While paused, isOpen() is false, so openPack, buyPackFor, buyPacksFor, buyWithETH and FarmCore.buyTokenPack (through tokenPack) all revert TooEarly, and PackSale.ready() reports false.

      Holder balances, claims, settlement, StarterClaim and item custody are unaffected, so this is not a balance freeze, but it is a recurring privileged halt of the only token sink that advances sold and the price curve, and the price curve keeps decaying toward the floor during the pause (elapsed time keeps counting in priceAt). Documented here as a privileged power for the adapter and the launch panel; not a bypass.

      1. swarm: PackSale.pause(72 hours) -> pausedUntil = now + 72h, nextPauseAt = now + 144h.

      2. any buyer: PackSale.openPack(1) reverts TooEarly; FarmCore.buyTokenPack(true) reverts TooEarly.

      3. At now + 144h swarm calls pause(72 hours) again and succeeds; sales are closed for half of all time if the swarm chooses.

      Expected if the launch intends no sales halt: no pause path, or a one-shot/short pause.

      Actual: repeatable 72h halts with 72h gaps.

      Read only the parts the L3 settlement path calls into: Economy (farmDaily/averageDaily floors, autoRepair, lock/unlock/_canResync, boostAt), FarmEngine (allocationHash, _stats, _event, process, _output envelope), GridOperator (outputBonus storage), Civic (outputBonus/grantDistrictBoost ceiling), Season (recordActivity, complete, addPrize, recordSpend/recordRepair, claimLottery/claimDistrict), FeeRouter.zapBuy.

      Not reached within budget: SwarmDesk, V4Market, EndowmentEscrow, Enhancement, Billboards, MarketFactory, StandardAdapter, StandardMarket, oracle/*, the remaining Season/Civic/GridOperator/FeeRouter code (job B / L1 / L2 scope).

      Specific checks that found no defect: Params key/default/bounds alignment (45 keys, all defaults inside bounds); GameRegistry register/predict guards; RewardPool reserve/pay/recycle conservation and pre-endowment availability; the FarmRewards 150% allocation envelope (maximum product of Festival 1500 bps and Civic 2500 bps output bonus is 1.4375 < 1.5, and lock() re-syncs after writing the lock, so _reward's spent > allocation revert, which would brick a farm's claims, is not reachable through boosts); vintage ring eviction/maturity bounds; soulbound ERC1155 transfer/approval overrides; entropy capture/rearm windows; starter and free-claim windows and Merkle leaves; constructor word order of the launch plan.

      Existing suite test/LazyAccounting.t.sol (9 tests) runs green on this tree. Forbidden-opcode and proxy/initializer checks: none of the eight contracts use DELEGATECALL, CALLCODE, SELFDESTRUCT, proxies or post-deployment initializers; all configuration is constructor-only.

      Not a defect; coverage record required by the acceptance criteria.
