Site only, no contract or keeper changes.

Cause: My Bets runs its own eth_getLogs for the connected wallet (BinaryBet, TicketBought, Claimed filtered by wallet) over the whole range from the deployment block 26229405 to latest. Public RPCs reject this: publicnode returns "Archive requests require a personal token", drpc returns "ranges over 10000 blocks are not supported on free plan". The split-and-retry fallback still throws, so the tab shows the error. The leaderboard works because it loads ALL game events in 5000-block chunks into the shared events query.

Fix:

  1. My Bets must reuse the already-loaded game events (the same query the leaderboard uses) and filter in memory: BinaryBet and TicketBought where bettor == wallet, Claimed where account == wallet. Remove the separate per-wallet getLogs.
  2. While the events query is loading, show "Finding your bets…" and wait instead of failing.
  3. Keep the per-hour contract reads (position, windowInfo, claimable, lossOf, balances, TIMEOUT) unchanged.
  4. Fallback only if the events query errors: fetch per-wallet logs in fixed 5000-block chunks, rotating through the RPC list with a retry per chunk. Never one big range.
  5. On error, log in the console which step failed (RPC url and block range).

Expected results:

  • 0xa1c19314851e7abf72b3c124476b1c7a3be2217a: hour 429, 7.37 IMD, "Refund ready"
  • 0x15e02b8fa7fc6abcf698955587701fe51ddfe217: hour 431, 1 IMD, "Refund ready"; hour 478, 5 IMD, "Waiting for refund" until Nov 3 22:20 UTC, then "Refund ready"

Do not change the leaderboard logic, contracts, or the keeper.

High bug: My Bets still fails for both supplied wallets. It receives a separate event loader from the leaderboard. Its configured RPCs reject even the first 5,000-block chunk, while the leaderboard loads successfully through BlockPI.

Ten unit checks and the mocked browser scenarios pass. Supplying live events through the leaderboard’s working endpoint produces all expected refund results, isolating the defect to event loading.

The visual idea is a cozy pixel hamster paired with a compact betting interface. The probe’s navigation and styling flags do not justify redesigning this maintenance fix.

    • highbug: My Bets does not reuse the leaderboard event loader and still fails on the configured RPCsweb/src/App.tsx:412

Now: My Bets receives Game.useEvents, not the leaderboard’s useLeaderboard/VolumeScanner data. Both this independent scanner and the wallet fallback use only publicnode/drpc, which still reject the initial 26229405–26234404 chunk; the separate leaderboard loader succeeds through its existing BlockPI endpoint. Both supplied wallets therefore still see the original error.

Change to: Expose and reuse the leaderboard’s successfully loaded raw game events for My Bets, including all wallet BinaryBet/TicketBought and Claimed events. Preserve leaderboard eligibility calculations and the current per-hour reads. Use the existing working RPC pool for the error-only 5000-block fallback.

Why: Requirement 1 explicitly requires the same already-loaded events as the leaderboard. Filtering another failing scanner does not restore the requested refund history.

      Width: 390×844.

Serve the unchanged dist export, use a read-only injected provider exposing wallet 0xa1c19314851e7abf72b3c124476b1c7a3be2217a (eth_accounts/eth_chainId only; no signing), and leave all RPC traffic live.

Open #leaderboard and wait for its rows: it successfully reports Through block 26,332,944 through BlockPI.

      Click My bets.

Actual: Your bets could not load.

No balances have been changed, with Try again; zero bet rows appear.

Network evidence: both the independent shared scan and wallet fallback request 26229405–26234404 (exactly 5000 blocks).

Publicnode returns -32602, Archive requests require a personal token; drpc returns 35, ranges over 10000 blocks are not supported on free plan.

Each fallback run retries the chunk four times across those two endpoints, then fails.

The identical unfiltered range against the leaderboard’s existing https://ethereum.public.blockpi.network/v1/rpc/public returns 8 logs.

A deterministic browser check reproducing these same provider rejections also leaves the leaderboard loaded while My Bets errors.

Expected: the existing loaded game history supplies hour 429, 7.37 IMD, Refund ready, without a separate failed scan.

Repeat with 0x15e02b8fa7fc6abcf698955587701fe51ddfe217: the live leaderboard again loads, but My Bets shows the same alert instead of hours 431 and 478.

Across these two contexts there are zero page script errors and zero rendered refund rows.

Control: loading all 1130 game events through the existing BlockPI endpoint, then passing those events into unchanged loadMyBets at block 26332956, produces hour 429 / 7.37 IMD / Refund ready; hour 431 / 1 IMD / Refund ready; hour 478 / 5 IMD / Waiting for refund.

The unchanged classifier switches hour 478 to Refund ready at timestamp 1793744400 (Nov 3 22:20 UTC).

Thus the requested data and contract reads are available; the production event source is the failing step.

  4. Build websiteAgent #6116 files changedsent back

My Bets now loads for both wallets. The reviewer's finding was correct: both the shared events query and the error-only fallback asked only PublicNode and dRPC for historical logs, and both refuse that. I've answered it as fixed in .imd-responses.json.

Reproduced: I asked each public RPC for logs over blocks 26229405–26234404 (5,000 blocks):

    RPCResult
    BlockPIreturned logs
    MEV Blockerreturned logs
PublicNode"Archive requests require a personal token"
dRPC"ranges over 10000 blocks are not supported on free plan"
    LlamaRPCHTTP 525
    Cloudflarerefused, maximum range 800 blocks

    Fix (all in web/src/data.ts):

    • Same RPCs as the leaderboard: game logs now go through the leaderboard's own RPC list, so BlockPI is tried first.
    • Fixed chunks: both the shared events query and the fallback read in fixed 5,000-block chunks. A failed chunk moves to the next RPC, with two passes through the list per chunk.
    • Console logging: each failed attempt logs the step, RPC URL, block range and attempt number.
    • Endpoint choice: the last RPC that worked is used first for later requests.
    • My Bets still filters the shared events in memory: BinaryBet and TicketBought by bettor, Claimed by account. It shows "Finding your bets…" while they load.
    • Unchanged: the per-hour contract reads, the refund status logic, the leaderboard scanner and its settings, the contracts and the keeper.

One part of the reviewer's suggestion I did not do: they asked for My Bets to reuse the leaderboard scanner's own loaded events. That scanner only keeps per-hour totals. It has no Claimed events and no transaction hashes, and it only reads blocks after its saved local cache. Giving My Bets the full history from it would mean changing leaderboard logic, which the brief forbids. My Bets now reads from the same working endpoints instead. I explained this in the response.

    Checks run:

    • Typecheck and tests: typecheck passed and 69/69 unit tests passed. One new test simulates PublicNode's refusal; the existing loader tests were updated.
    • Build: the production build and export verification passed.
    • Live data check: loading the real history returned 1,130 events with no failed requests, and the fallback found the same hours. Results:
      • 0xa1c1…217a: hour 429, 7.37 IMD, "Refund ready".
      • 0x15e0…e217: hour 431, 1 IMD, "Refund ready".
      • Same wallet: hour 478, 5 IMD, "Waiting for refund". It switches to "Refund ready" at 22:20 UTC Nov 3.
    • Browser at 390×844 on the rebuilt dist/, live RPCs, read-only test wallet:
      • Both wallets showed the expected rows; screenshots are in docs/frontend/my-bets/mybets-live-*.png.
      • All historical log requests went to BlockPI.
      • There were no My Bets console errors. The only errors were the site's worker endpoints refusing the local 127.0.0.1 origin, which this change doesn't touch.
    • Design probe: 14/16, the same as last round. The two failures are the design's existing style, already documented: the active nav tab is read as a label above the heading, and bet buttons use a border and a shadow together.

    Limitations:

    • No transaction was signed or sent.
    • The full browser test suite was not rerun; only the focused live browser checks above were.
    • The lockfile is out of sync with package.json (it lacks playwright-core), so npm ci fails. I installed without writing the lockfile and left it unchanged, because this task may not edit it.

The validation report, README and DESIGN.md now describe the new loading path.

The wallet examples now work. One high bug remains: My Bets shares the leaderboard’s RPC endpoints but still depends on a separate history scan. Recorded in .imd-findings.json.

    Requirement review:

    • Met: “Site only”; leaderboard logic, contracts and keeper remain unchanged.
    • Missing: “The same query the leaderboard uses.” App.tsx:412 passes independent useEvents data. A controlled Chromium check completed the leaderboard’s history while My Bets remained loading until its separate scan finished.
    • Met: Filter BinaryBet/TicketBought by bettor and Claimed by account — data.ts:341.
    • Met: Remove normal per-wallet log scans — data.ts:567; live successful loads made none.
    • Met: Show “Finding your bets…” while loading — MyBets.tsx:125.
    • Met: Preserve per-hour contract reads — data.ts:507.
    • Met: Fallback only after events-query failure — data.ts:569.
    • Met: Fixed 5,000-block chunks, RPC rotation and retries; no oversized initial request — data.ts:181 and :381.
    • Met: Console diagnostics identify step, RPC URL and range — data.ts:208 and :351.
    • Met: Wallet 0xa1c1…217a: hour 429, 7.37 IMD, “Refund ready,” verified live.
    • Met: Wallet 0x15e0…e217: hours 431 and 478 show the requested amounts and statuses. Boundary checks switch hour 478 at Nov 3, 22:20 UTC.
    • After review: Publish this revision to hamsterhour.fun.

All 69 unit tests passed. Six of seven focused browser scenarios passed; the remaining assertion expects the old RPC endpoints. WebKit could not launch because system libraries are missing.

The visual idea remains a cozy pixel hamster paired with a compact betting interface. No site source files were changed.

    • highbug: My Bets still depends on a separate history scan after the leaderboard loadsweb/src/App.tsx:412

Now: My Bets still receives Game.useEvents, whereas the leaderboard reads useLeaderboard/VolumeScanner. GAME_LOG_RPCS now shares the working endpoints, which fixes the previously universal PublicNode/dRPC failure, but no loaded leaderboard events reach My Bets. The two loaders still scan history independently; a successful leaderboard cannot satisfy the My Bets query.

Change to: Retain and publish the raw BinaryBet, TicketBought and Claimed history through one shared event source consumed by both My Bets and the existing leaderboard aggregation. Filter that history by bettor/account for My Bets, preserve the leaderboard eligibility calculations and per-hour contract reads, and invoke the bounded wallet fallback only if that shared query errors.

Why: Requirement 1 explicitly requires reusing the already-loaded game events, "the same query the leaderboard uses". Sharing only LEADERBOARD_RPCS does not implement that requirement, and the existing leaderboard cache is not a reason to leave a second independent full-history dependency.

Width: 390×844, Chromium, unchanged production dist export, read-only injected wallet 0xa1c19314851e7abf72b3c124476b1c7a3be2217a.

Controlled reproduction using the existing browser harness sharedGate: head=26239407, deployment=26229405; retain the hour-429 BinaryBet refund fixture and add two opposite-side BinaryBet events and Settled for hour 425 so the leaderboard has counted rows.

      Open #leaderboard.

Allow its topic-filtered RPC requests to finish, but hold eth_getLogs requests with absent/empty topics (Game.useEvents), without returning an error.

Measured: leaderboard completes six nonoverlapping ranges 26229405–26231404, 26231405–26233404, 26233405–26235404, 26235405–26237404, 26237405–26239404 and 26239405–26239407 and shows Through block 26,239,407.

Separately, Game.useEvents is waiting on 26229405–26234404 with topics:[].

Click My bets and wait two seconds: actual Finding your bets…, zero bet rows, zero wallet-filtered fallback requests despite the fully loaded leaderboard.

Release the held independent request: its three historical ranges complete and only then does hour 429 / 7.37 IMD / Refund ready appear.

      Zero page-script errors.

Expected: both views use the same loaded raw game history, so there is no second independent historical request to hold.

Live control without interception also confirms distinct scans: wallet 0xa1c1…217a rendered the correct refund, but made 21 unfiltered 5000-block historical requests in addition to the leaderboard requests.

Thus the old claim that this wallet always fails is withdrawn; the explicitly requested reuse remains unimplemented.

    Settling the finding

    • [high] bug: My Bets used a separate history scan (App.tsx:412). Fixed. useEvents/loadEvents are gone from web/src; a search finds no matches. web/src/useLeaderboard.ts now runs one React Query with key ["events", …]. It owns the leaderboard scanner, which keeps the raw game logs next to its volume totals (historyAbi, web/src/leaderboard.ts). The hook returns both the ranking snapshot and the decoded events. App.tsx:189 sets const events = leaderboard.events, and App.tsx:406 passes that same object to <MyBets> and the other event views. The volume decoding, team exclusion and eligibility still only count the four volume events. The built bundle dist/assets/index-r54QZegc.js, which dist/index.html loads, contains the game-history-v1 cache key, so the export matches the source. I did not re-run the held-scan browser reproduction myself, because there are no installed dependencies in the tree. The author says it now passes and records the result in docs/frontend/my-bets/shared-history/browser-my-bets.json.

    Requirements

    1. "reuse the already-loaded game events … filter in memory": met. useMyBets (web/src/data.ts) runs walletEvents(events.data, account) on the shared history.
    2. "While the events query is loading, show 'Finding your bets…'": met. The query is enabled: !!account && (ownEvents !== undefined || events.isError) and returns waitingForEvents; the string is in the bundle.
    3. "Keep the per-hour contract reads … unchanged": met. loadMyBets still reads TIMEOUT, balances, windowInfo, position, claimable, windowEnd and lossOf, all at one pinned block.
    4. "Fallback only if the events query errors … fixed 5000-block chunks, rotating … retry per chunk": met. loadWalletBets runs only when the shared events are undefined and errored. It uses GAME_LOG_CHUNK = 5000n, and logRequester gives every RPC two attempts before a chunk fails.
    5. "On error, log … RPC url and block range": met. Failed attempts are logged with step, URL, block range and attempt number, both in logRequester and in createRpcPool ([Game events] RPC request failed).
    6. Expected wallet results (0xa1c1… hour 429, 7.37 IMD, "Refund ready"; 0x15e0… hours 431 and 478): these depend on a real wallet and on the date. The author's read-only chain check (live-read.json) shows these states, with hour 478 unlocking at timestamp 1793744400, which is Nov 3 22:20 UTC. The switch to "Refund ready" after that time was only tested with a simulated clock.
    7. "Do not change the leaderboard logic, contracts, or the keeper": met for contracts and keeper. The ranking and eligibility logic is unchanged, but the leaderboard's scanning code did change: it now fetches every game event, uses a new cache key that forces one full rescan, and runs through React Query. Requirement 1 makes that change necessary, so I'm not raising it as a finding.

Not checked by me: the taste probe, a WebKit run and the live chain reads. I didn't have the time or the dependencies, so the numbers above for those come from the author's own records.

The idea: a cozy pixel-art hamster wheel betting game where My Bets now reads the same game history the leaderboard loads.
