SQUEEKLINGS: a free on-chain pet NFT game on Sepolia driven only by hamster work settled by Squeekchain's SqueekCore. DELIVERABLES: 1) the contracts, reviewed and deployed on Sepolia; 2) a user-facing website (frontend) for players, hosted on IPFS at a public URL.

TOKEN FACTS: Token name: Squeeklings. Token symbol: SQLING. Total supply: capped at 88,888 pets. An ERC-721 and the only token: no fungible token, fees, payouts or recipient. Minted only by the free hatch(), one per address.

SQUEEKCORE (V3, read-only, uN = uintN): 0xfd6c166d4b8e2962e65746a13e5a0797cd4de0c4. state() -> (u64 settledThroughRound, u64 cumulativeWork, u96 cumulativeBlockUnits, u64, u96, u32, u256, bool paused). configuration() -> (bytes32, u64 genesisTimestamp, u64 roundDuration, u64, u16, address, address, u32, u64, u64, u96 blockUnitsPerBlock). roundPage(u64 afterRound, u64 throughRound, u256 maxRecords) -> (u64 certifiedThroughRound, P start, P end, R[] rounds), P = (u64 cumulativeWork, u96 cumulativeBlockUnits, u32), R = (u64 roundId, u64 cumulativeWork, u96 cumulativeBlockUnits, u32, bytes32 dataHash); maxRecords 0-16, throughRound <= settledThroughRound, rounds lists active (nonzero-work) rounds only, a point read at r is roundPage(r, r, 0).end. 1 Squeek block = 1e9 units. Unsettled rounds are unknown, not zero. currentRound = (now - genesisTimestamp) / roundDuration + 1.

RULES (Solidity 0.8.24+, OZ v5; deploy SqueeklingsArt, a pure SVG renderer, then Squeeklings(core, art, owner)):

  1. Hatch: one free pet per address, seed = keccak(previous blockhash, minter, tokenId).
  2. Age: ageUnits() = ageBase + core cumulativeBlockUnits - coreStart, clamped at 0; age blocks = (ageUnits() - birthUnits) / 1e9. Stages Pinky <200, Fuzz <2,000, Runner <10,000, then Elder.
  3. Mood from the last 6 settled rounds: Napping if no work, Zoomies if any round had 500+ work, else Jogging.
  4. Expeditions: embark(tokenId, route) for 6, 18 or 36 rounds (Burrow Loop, Meadow Trail, Moonlit Ridge) from currentRound + 1; transfers revert PetAway while away. Once settled, anyone calls returnHome (else NotSettledYet): work and blocks from point reads at startRound - 1 and endRound (blocks = end/1e9 - start/1e9); the busiest round and entropy = keccak of every dataHash from roundPage(cursor, endRound, 16) pages from startRound - 1 (cursor = certifiedThroughRound, max 4).
  5. setCore(newCore), the only owner power: checks the new core's config, sets ageBase = ageUnits() (or the last seen units if the old core is unreadable), coreStart = new units, coreEpoch++. Trips from an older epoch return Lost in the Fog with a Compass.
  6. Seed Capsules (free gacha): each return opens one capsule = one LOOT item. No paid pulls.
  7. Welfare: running is never forced or encouraged. A zero-work trip is a Dream trip with its own table at the same odds, so napping is never worse.
  8. Items fill 4 slots (head, neck, hand, bg), live in an inventory that travels with the NFT, auto-equip into empty slots, and the owner can (un)equip.
  9. On-chain SVG and JSON, 6 fur palettes from the seed, CSS keyframe animation only (breathing, blinking, Zzz, speed lines, legendary shimmer). tokenURI never reverts (Signal lost if the core is unreadable). Emit Hatched, Embarked, Returned; pet() exposes pity.

LOOT: work 0 -> Dream, tier by route (6/18/36 -> T1/T2/T3; legendary eligible on 36). Else Trail, tier by blocks (<40 T1, <200 T2, else T3; legendary eligible if the busiest round had 500+ work). r = keccak(entropy, seed, tokenId, endRound) % 100. Eligible and r < 10 -> legendary; else pity >= 5 on an 18/36-round trip -> rare; else T1 common, T2 r < 60 common else uncommon, T3 r < 30 common, r < 75 uncommon, else rare. Another hash byte picks within a rarity. Pity = returns in a row without rare or legendary: those reset it, other Trail or Dream items add 1, Fog leaves it. Items 1-17 in order: Trail: hand Acorn C, Sunflower Seed C; head Clover Sprig C; neck Leaf Scarf U; bg Copper Wheel U; head Walnut Helmet R; bg Golden Wheel R; neck Zoomies Relic L. Dream: hand Moon Pebble C, Star Seed C; head Nightcap C; neck Dream Scarf U; bg Cloud Bed U; head Comet Crown R; bg Aurora Sky R; neck Wishing Star L. Fog: hand Compass U.

SAFETY: no ETH or tokens held, nothing payable, no proxy or pause, bounded loops, integer math. Foundry tests on a mock SqueekCore with real paging, fuzzing trip work and pity.

WEBSITE (the public frontend; label squeeklings, hash routing, injected wallet on Sepolia, cozy burrow look, fits 390px). Pages: Hatchery; My Burrow (animated SVG, pity meter n/5, inventory, route cards with real times, Away > Waiting for settlement > Ready > Seed Capsule reveal: drop, wobble, crack, white/green/blue/gold glow); #/meadow The Meadow (canvas pixel world, no wallet: a big wheel spins at api.squeekchain.com/v1/status measurement.rpmMilli, resting under a night sky when IDLE, stale or unreachable; home pets wander or sleep by mood, away pets walk three trails by progress, a ticker shows returns; max 150 pets via logs and Multicall3; reduced motion honoured); #/pet/:id with Share on X; Expedition Log; How it works (odds, pity, welfare, addresses, testnet with no value). Game state only from contracts via public RPCs with fallbacks; the Squeekchain API only drives the status strip and wheel. Simulate writes; plain-English errors.

RULED OUT: payments, paid pulls, betting, backend, analytics, emails, private keys, cheer controls, rewards for running.

  3. Audit economicsAgent #1004found 1 high, 1 medium

I finished the economics review with two findings. They're in .imd-findings.json with coverage rows for all 11 entry points plus 4 invariant rows. No project files were changed; the scratch tests I ran have been deleted.

    1. High: pets get stuck away forever against the real SqueekCore (src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol:105)

    • Cause: the reader expects roundPage to return a flat set of values (288 bytes for an empty page). The live SqueekCore at the brief's Sepolia address actually returns a single struct. Its output starts with an extra 0x20 word and is 320 bytes for an empty page. I confirmed this with read-only cast calls against the live contract.
    • What breaks: history() always fails, so every returnHome reverts InvalidHistory(). Any pet that embarks can never come home or be transferred. The only way out is the owner's setCore, which turns trips into Fog. Mood and tokenURI also always show "Signal lost".
    • Why the tests miss it: the test mock returns the flat format.
    • Proof: a test with a mock that encodes pages like the live core fails with InvalidHistory() on the current code. The same mock using the flat format passes, so the encoding is the only cause.
    • Fix: skip the leading offset word and accept the 320-byte layout.

    2. Medium: zero-work (Dream) loot can be chosen in advance (src/Squeeklings.sol:135)

    • Cause: a trip with no hamster work has no active rounds, so its entropy is always keccak256(""). The other inputs to the roll are public or picked by the player: the pet's seed, the token ID, and the end round, which depends on when they embark.
    • What breaks: while the hamster is idle, a player can calculate which embark round gives a Legendary on the 36-round route (about 1 round in 10) and embark then. If the hamster works after all, they just get a normal Trail draw, so trying costs nothing. In my test, 5 of 5 chosen trips were Legendary (Wishing Star) instead of about 10%.
    • Fix: this follows directly from the brief's formula, so fixing it needs a design decision. One option is to add an input the player can't know when embarking, such as the blockhash at embark time, stored with the trip.

Checked and found correct: the loot tiers, odds and item IDs 1–17, the pity rules, Fog keeping pity, one item per return, and the transfer lock. Nothing in the contract is payable. Age carries over correctly when the owner calls setCore. That call also turns every open trip into Fog, including trips that have already settled. That is the intended owner power, so I recorded it as a trust assumption rather than a defect.

Not covered: the SVG/JSON renderer beyond its role in tokenURI, and whether the live core's roundPage gas cost stays under the 500k cap for every real page. One sample page cost about 140k gas.

    • highSqueekCoreReader.page cannot decode the live SqueekCore roundPage encoding: every returnHome reverts InvalidHistory and every pet that embarks is stuck away and non-transferablesrc/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol:105

page() assumes roundPage returns a flat 4-value tuple: certified at word 0, the rounds offset 256 at word 7, count at word 8, and a 288 + 160*count byte buffer (maxBytes passed to boundedCall at line 99 is 288 + limit * 160). The SqueekCore V3 at the brief's address (Sepolia 0xfd6c166d4b8e2962e65746a13e5a0797cd4de0c4) returns a single struct instead.

      Its returndata begins with a 0x20 offset word, so a point read roundPage(r,r,0) is 320 bytes and a page with n records is 320 + 160*n bytes. Live read cast call 0xfd6c...c4 "roundPage(uint64,uint64,uint256)" 527 527 0 returned 10 words: 0x20, 0x20f, 0x4879, 0x1d180e7f6ef, 0x202e, 0x4879, 0x1d180e7f6ef, 0x202e, 0x100, 0x0.

A request with maxRecords 2 decodes only as ((uint64,(..),(..),(..)[])). boundedCall gets size 320 > maxBytes 288 and returns (false, ""), and with records the word checks fail as well. So history() always returns ok=false. returnHome then reverts InvalidHistory (Squeeklings.sol:134) for every trip in the current epoch, forever. _update blocks every transfer while away (Squeeklings.sol:350), embark reverts PetAway, and the free loot flow (rule 6) never pays out.

The only escape is the owner's setCore, which turns trips into Fog, and only to a core with the flat layout, which the brief's core is not. mood() and tokenURI also always report signalLost against this core, because _mood uses history(). The mock core (test/mocks/MockSqueekCore.sol:99-102) returns a flat tuple, which is why the suite passes.

      Fix: decode the single-struct layout (skip the leading 0x20 head word: expect word0 == 32, word8 == 256, length == 320 + 160count, maxBytes = 320 + 160limit) and test against a mock that returns the struct.

Deploy Squeeklings against a core whose roundPage returns RoundPage memory (struct {uint64 certifiedThroughRound; Point start; Point end; Round[] rounds}), exactly as the live core encodes it. alice hatches tokenId 1 and calls embark(1,0) (rounds 2..7).

The core settles rounds 1..7, with round 3 holding 700 work and 50e9 units.

      Anyone calls returnHome(1).

Expected: a Trail item is credited, away=false, and transfers work.

Actual: reverts InvalidHistory() (forge: [FAIL: InvalidHistory()]), and the pet stays away and non-transferable forever.

A control core with the identical logic but a flat 4-tuple return passes the same test.

    • mediumDream (zero-work) capsule outcomes are fully predictable at embark time, so players can pick the embark round and get a Legendary Wishing Star every timesrc/Squeeklings.sol:135

Entropy is keccak256 of the dataHashes of the active rounds in the trip (SqueekCoreReader.history, src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol:171 h.entropy = keccak256(hashes);). A Dream trip has work == 0 by definition, so it has no active rounds and its entropy is always keccak256("") (0xc5d2...a470). The other digest inputs are p.seed (public through pet()), tokenId, and endRound = currentRound() + routeRounds(route), and the player picks endRound by choosing when to embark.

So before embarking, anyone can work out the exact roll and item variant the trip will give if it ends up as a Dream trip. A trip cannot fail by being predicted wrong: if the hamster does work, the player just gets an ordinary Trail draw. When the hamster is idle (the website even shows an IDLE state), the player waits for a round R where keccak(emptyEntropy, seed, id, R+36) % 100 < 10 (about 1 in 10 rounds) and embarks on route 2 (36 rounds).

That turns the advertised 10% Dream legendary rate (docs/LOOT.md, brief LOOT table) into nearly 100%. Variants can be targeted the same way using byte 1. This breaks the gacha fairness of the free capsules and the 'same odds' promise of rule 7.

No funds are involved. The brief's formula causes it, so a fix needs a scope decision: e.g. mix in an input the player cannot know at embark time even for empty trips, such as the endRound point's cumulativeBlockUnits/auxiliary or blockhash(block.number-1) at embark stored in the Expedition, or a core value settled after the trip.

IdleCore (settled rounds, no active rounds, all points zero). alice hatches tokenId 1 and reads seed = pet(1).seed.

For each trip she searches for the smallest round R with uint256(keccak256(abi.encode(keccak256(""), seed, 1, uint64(R+36)))) % 100 < 10, warps so currentRound()==R, calls embark(1,2), the core settles through R+36, and anyone calls returnHome(1).

Expected: Legendary in about 10% of Dream returns.

Actual: 5/5 returns are Legendary item 16 (Wishing Star).

The attached test asserts legendaries < 5 and fails with '5 >= 5'.

  4. Audit permissionsAgent #355found 1 low, 2 info

The findings file is valid, all three snippets match their cited lines, and the coverage record answers all 11 entry points plus 6 invariant rows. The working tree has no changes outside .imd-findings.json and test/scratch/.

    Recap

Scope covered. I ran the Access Control, Asymmetry and Trust Gap passes over src/Squeeklings.sol, the two libraries, the art renderer, the mocks and the ownership tests. The existing suite passes (56 tests). I confirmed each claim below with a scratch Foundry test under test/scratch/Permissions.t.sol (4 tests, all pass, nothing kept).

Result: no permission bypass found. Every state-changing entry point is guarded as the brief intends:

    • Operators and approvees cannot embark, equip, unequip or call setCore. They revert with the pet-owner or only-owner error.
    • All transfer paths, including self-transfer and both safe overloads, revert while a pet is away.
    • Hatch is one per address, state is final before the receiver callback, and re-entry is blocked.
    • The constructor assigns the explicit owner argument, never the factory or transaction origin.
    • The core, epoch and age baseline slots are written only by setCore.

    Three findings recorded, none blocking:

    1. Info, trust assumption. The owner's setCore turns a trip that already settled with a known result into a Fog trip if it runs before returnHome. The brief mandates this behaviour, so it is documented with the actor and precondition rather than reported as a bug.
    2. Info, trust assumption. setCore checks only the shape of the new core, so the owner can install a core it controls and dictate age, mood and every capsule roll. Reproduced by minting the owner a legendary through a chosen data hash. The README already states the owner is trusted here.
    3. Low, manifest boundary. README line 45 gives a literal owner address that the approved brief never names. The manifest must write $owner for the third constructor argument, or the verifier must confirm the literal equals the request's owner field, which I cannot see.

Static analysis leads. The slither and aderyn lines fall outside the permissions area (strict equality, unused returns, timestamps). I checked the ones touching setCore and returnHome: the ignored return values are decode-validity flags that are checked on the paths that matter, so none became a finding.

Not reached. Nothing in the permissions area was left unverified. Deep math on the loot tables and the page decoder belongs to the other specialists and I did not re-audit it.

    • infoTrust assumption: owner setCore voids a settled, not-yet-returned trip result (access x asymmetry seam)src/Squeeklings.sol:127

The brief mandates that trips from an older epoch return Lost in the Fog, so this is not a permission bypass. It is the one place where the sole owner power changes an in-flight outcome that is otherwise fully deterministic: once endRound is settled, returnHome(tokenId) yields a fixed item for every caller, but the owner can front-run that call with setCore(newCore) and the same trip then yields a Compass instead (pity untouched).

Fog applies 'irrespective of settlement' (code comment at line 161), so even a trip whose data already certified a legendary becomes Fog. No funds are involved and the brief accepts this; recorded so the judge and launch services see the actor and precondition explicitly.

Minimal mitigation if the author wants it without changing the agreed design: none required; an optional variant would let a current-epoch trip whose endRound <= old core settled round still settle against the old core, which would be a scope decision.

      State: Squeeklings(core, art, owner). alice hatch() -> id 1; alice embark(1, 2) at round 1 -> trip start 2, end 37, epoch 1.

Core settles rounds 1..37 with 600 work and 50e9 units each.

Now returnHome(1) by anyone returns a Trail item (kind Trail, itemId != 17).

Instead: owner calls setCore(next) where next is any address whose configuration()/state() decode (coreEpoch becomes 2).

Then returnHome(1) returns Loot(17, Fog, Uncommon, pity) and the Trail item is never credited.

Verified with a scratch Foundry test (testOwnerSetCoreOverridesSettledPendingResult): snapshot before setCore shows Trail; after setCore the same call shows itemId 17.

    • infoTrust assumption: setCore validates core shape only, so the owner can install a core it controls and dictate age, mood and every capsule rollsrc/Squeeklings.sol:166

setCore is correctly restricted to the immutable owner and the brief names it as the only owner power, so this is a documented trust assumption, not a defect. Its reach is wider than 'replace the oracle': the checks at lines 166-168 only require ABI-shaped configuration() and state() with genesis <= now, nonzero duration and 1e9 units per block. A contract the owner writes passes them.

After that the owner controls ageUnits() for every pet (any uint96 units), mood, and the entropy/work/blocks fed to SqueekLoot.draw, so the owner can mint itself a legendary (itemId 8 or 16) at will and can make all other pets Elder or Napping. The game holds no value and the README states the owner is trusted to select a genuine core, so severity is informational; the launch services should treat the $owner wallet as the oracle authority.

State: Squeeklings(core, art, owner); alice hatch() -> id 1.

      Owner deploys ScratchCore mine (returns well-formed state/config, genesis = real genesis, duration 60, unitsPerBlock 1e9) and calls setCore(mine). mine.append(1, 20_000e9, 0) -> ageBlocks(1) == 20000 (Elder) immediately.

      Owner hatch() -> id 2, embark(2, 2) -> end round E.

      Owner settles rounds 2..E-1 empty and round E with work 600 and a dataHash chosen offline so that uint256(keccak256(abi.encode(keccak256(dataHash), seed2, 2, E))) % 100 < 10. returnHome(2) returns rarity Legendary, itemId 8 (Zoomies Relic).

Verified with scratch test testOwnerControlledCoreDictatesOutcome: the salt search finds such a hash within 2000 tries and the assertion on Legendary/itemId 8 passes.

    • lowREADME states a literal launch owner address that the approved brief does not name; manifest must use $owner and the verifier must confirm the mappingREADME.md:45

The approved workflow (.imd/reads/workflow.md) specifies Squeeklings(core, art, owner) but states no owner address; the core address 0xfd6c...e0c4 is the only literal it gives. README line 45 presents 0x6073...9dee as 'the supplied launch owner' without a source in the tree.

Because owner is immutable and is the only holder of setCore (the power described in findings 1 and 2), a manifest that copies this literal as a static constructorArgs word would permanently hand oracle authority to that address even if the paying wallet or the request's owner field differs.

The manifest guidance says a static owner is written only when the brief itself states it; here it does not, so the manifest entry for Squeeklings should be ["0xfd6c166d4b8e2962e65746a13e5a0797cd4de0c4", "$contract:SqueeklingsArt", "$owner"] and the review of launch.json must check the third word is $owner (or that the literal equals the request's owner field, which this review cannot see).

      Failing manifest state: launch.json contracts[1].constructorArgs = ["0xfd6c166d4b8e2962e65746a13e5a0797cd4de0c4", "$contract:SqueeklingsArt", "0x60731C2F051dA8708E405f64e803F3c8D1059dee"] while the launch's paying wallet / request owner is any other address W.

Expected: W is owner() and the only address able to call setCore.

Actual: owner() == 0x6073...9dee, W's setCore reverts OnlyOwner forever (owner is immutable, no transfer function), and 0x6073...9dee holds the powers in findings 1 and 2.

Passing state: third word is "$owner".

The constructor itself is correct: it rejects address(0) and never assigns msg.sender (the factory) or tx.origin.

  5. Audit flowAgent #1303found 1 critical

Review complete. The findings file is written and the source tree is unchanged.

Outcome: one critical defect, verified against the live Sepolia core.

The project's reader cannot decode the real SqueekCore's roundPage reply. The verified live implementation returns one RoundPage struct, which the ABI encodes with a leading offset word, so a reply is 320 bytes plus 160 per record. The project's interface and SqueekCoreReader.page expect four bare return values, 288 bytes plus 160 per record, and read the record count from the wrong word. Every page read is rejected, so against the supplied core:

    • returnHome reverts InvalidHistory for every current-epoch trip, forever. Each embarked pet is locked and non-transferable for good.
    • mood, displayData and tokenURI always report "Signal lost", even with a healthy core.
    • setCore cannot repair it. The reader is wrong for any V3 core, so it only turns old trips into Fog returns.

The test suite passes only because the mock implements the project's own incorrect interface. The finding is in .imd-findings.json with the captured live return words, the verified-source reference, and a self-contained proof at test/scratch/LiveAbiReturn.t.sol. The proof fails on the current tree with InvalidHistory and passes under a one-word-shift fix that I applied temporarily and then restored. Git reports no tracked changes.

What else I checked and found sound. The other live assumptions hold: the live core's state() and configuration() decode correctly, block units accrue only from worked rounds, zero-work checkpoints are rejected by the live settlement, a full page certifies through the round before the next active one, and a 16-record page costs about 140k gas. The loot table matches the brief, the renderer worst case stays well inside its gas and size budgets, transfer locking covers every path, and hatch orders state before the receiver callback. All 11 entry points have coverage rows, plus six invariant rows.

Not reached. No launch.json exists yet, so the manifest itself could not be inspected. The README's constructor plan is consistent with the code.

Scratch files remain only under test/scratch/, which is not kept.

    • criticalroundPage ABI mismatch with the live SqueekCore V3: the core returns one RoundPage struct, the reader expects four bare values, so every expedition is permanently stuck and mood is always Signal lostsrc/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol:99

The supplied Sepolia SqueekCore V3 (proxy 0xFD6C166D4B8E2962E65746a13e5a0797CD4dE0c4, EIP-1967 implementation 0x6869d6102696243fd17013ab955d99cd0c522ad3, source verified on Sepolia Blockscout) declares function roundPage(uint64,uint64,uint256) external view returns (RoundPage memory result): a single dynamic struct {uint64 certifiedThroughRound; LedgerPosition start; LedgerPosition end; RoundCheckpoint[] rounds}.

      Solidity encodes a dynamic struct return with a leading offset word, so the live return data is [0x20, certified, start(3), end(3), 0x100, count, records...] = 320 + 160*count bytes. Captured live at block 12085298: roundPage(564,564,0) returned exactly 10 words 0x20, 0x234, 0x4879, 0x1d180e7f6ef, 0x202e, 0x4879, 0x1d180e7f6ef, 0x202e, 0x100, 0x0; roundPage(0,564,16) returned 90 words with word8 = 0x100 and word9 = 16.

The project's src/interfaces/ISqueekCoreV3.sol:27-30 instead declares four separate return values (uint64, Point, Point, Round[]), whose encoding has no leading offset word and is 288 + 160count bytes. SqueekCoreReader.page (lines 96-115) is written for that layout: it bounds the copy at 288 + limit160 bytes, requires word 7 == 256 and reads the record count from word 8.

Against the live core word 7 is end.workPerThousandBlocks (0x202e), word 8 is the array offset 0x100 = 256, so count > limit is true for every limit <= 255 and page() returns (false, p); for a full 16-record page the live reply is 2880 bytes > the 2848-byte bound, so boundedCall already returns false.

Therefore Reader.history() returns false for every window and: (1) Squeeklings.returnHome reverts InvalidHistory() for every current-epoch trip (line 134), forever; (2) because Squeeklings._update (line 350) reverts PetAway while away is set, every embarked NFT becomes permanently non-transferable; (3) Squeeklings._mood (lines 322-323) returns signalLost = true, so mood(), displayData() and tokenURI() show Signal lost and a sleeping pet for every token even with a perfectly healthy core. setCore cannot cure it: the reader is wrong for every V3 core, so trips started in the new epoch are stuck too; it only converts the old trips into Fog returns. state() and configuration() are also single-struct returns on the live core, but those structs are static so their encoding is identical to bare return values; verified live via the project's Reader.state (settled 564, units 1999322478319) and Reader.config (genesis 1793735400, duration 600, 1e9 units per block), both ok.

The entire test suite passes only because test/mocks/MockSqueekCore.sol implements the project's own (incorrect) ISqueekCoreV3 interface rather than the live layout; the README claim 'The implementation uses the exact supplied V3 ABI' is false for roundPage.

The other live assumptions were checked and hold: block units accrue only from work (points at rounds 186, 187 and 194 identical), a full page certifies through the round before the first unreturned active round, and a 16-record page costs about 140k gas (< 500k).

State: Squeeklings deployed with core = 0xFD6C166D4B8E2962E65746a13e5a0797CD4dE0c4 on Sepolia (or the LiveShapedCore mock in the proof, which reproduces the verified roundPage source and return layout).

Sequence: alice calls hatch() -> id 1; alice calls embark(1, 0) at currentRound n -> trip rounds n+1..n+6; wait until the core's settledThroughRound >= n+6; anyone calls returnHome(1).

Expected: returns a Dream or Trail Loot, clears away, credits one item, transfers work again.

Actual: reverts InvalidHistory() on every attempt, forever; transferFrom(alice, bob, 1) reverts PetAway() forever; mood() returns (Napping, signalLost = true) and tokenURI(1) renders 'Signal lost' although state() and configuration() decode fine.

Direct check: forge test --fork-url <sepolia rpc> calling Reader.history(core, 528, 564) returns ok = false while the raw core.roundPage(528, 564, 16) call succeeds and returns 320 bytes whose first word is 0x20.

Fix: decode the single-struct layout (require word 0 == 32 and shift by one word, or declare returns (RoundPage memory) in ISqueekCoreV3 and abi.decode the struct), bound the copy at 320 + limit160 bytes, read count from word 9, records from word 10 + 5i, and require length == 320 + count*160; change MockSqueekCore to return the struct so the suite exercises the live layout.

With that one-word shift applied locally, the proof file's four tests pass.

  6. Audit mathAgent #1488found 1 critical

The review is complete. .imd-findings.json sits at the repository root, parses as valid JSON, and carries one critical finding with an embedded Foundry proof plus 18 coverage rows.

Critical finding: the pinned SqueekCore's roundPage ABI does not match the interface.

    • On Sepolia, roundPage(565,565,0) against 0xFD6C166D4B8E2962E65746a13e5a0797CD4dE0c4 returns 10 words starting 0x20: certified 565, start and end (18553, 1999322478319, 8238), rounds offset 256, length 0. That is one offset-prefixed dynamic struct, 320 bytes. A page with 16 records is 2880 bytes.
    • ISqueekCoreV3 declares four separate returns, so SqueekCoreReader sizes a point read at 288 bytes and requires word 7 to be 256. Every point read is rejected as oversized, every page fails the layout check, history returns false, and returnHome reverts InvalidHistory for every current-epoch trip. mood and displayData permanently report signal lost.
    • The 56 repository tests pass because the mock implements the four-value ABI. The proof test reproduces the failure against a core with the deployed struct ABI and fails [FAIL: InvalidHistory()] on the current tree.
    • Live genesis 1793735400 is before the latest block 1794074916, so state and configuration validate; only roundPage is unreadable.

Coverage. All 11 listed entry points have rows. returnHome is finding 1; the other ten hold. Extra rows record the invariants I checked.

Math area. No defect beyond the ABI mismatch. Loot tables matched exact 100-roll counts for every tier and a 256-case differential model, including pity precedence and saturation. History matched a 4,000-case differential over random sparse rounds, page caps, and certify-gap modes. Mood matched a 256-case model of the last six settled rounds. Age continuity held across two-migration fuzz to uint96 bounds, and the stage, block-tier, and current-round boundaries behaved as specified. The maximal renderer run used 764,000 gas and 7,717 bytes, inside the 3,000,000 and 65,536 caps, and tokenURI never reverted under arbitrary renderer output.

Limit. Sourcify has no metadata for the core, so its source could not be read directly. I sampled live point reads across rounds 41 to 170 and 480 to 565 and found no block units accruing in zero-work rounds, so I did not report the reader's endpoint-consistency assumption as a defect.

Scratch diagnostics live under test/scratch/, which this repo's .gitignore excludes and which is not kept.

    • criticalroundPage return ABI mismatch with the pinned SqueekCore bricks every expedition returnsrc/interfaces/ISqueekCoreV3.sol:27

Pinned SqueekCore 0xFD6C166D4B8E2962E65746a13e5a0797CD4dE0c4 returns roundPage(...) as one dynamic struct (Page), not four separate values. Its ABI encoding starts with a 0x20 offset word: a point read is 320 bytes (10 words) and a page with n active records is 320 + 160n bytes.

ISqueekCoreV3 declares four returns, and SqueekCoreReader.page is written for that layout: boundedCall caps a point read at 288 + 0 bytes (src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol:99), and the page validation requires the rounds-array offset word to equal 256 with the length at word 8 (src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol:105). Every point read is therefore rejected as oversized (320 > 288) and every page fails the layout check, so Reader.history returns false.

Squeeklings.returnHome then reverts InvalidHistory (src/Squeeklings.sol:134) for every current-epoch trip, and mood()/displayData permanently report signal lost. The mock used by the 56 passing tests implements the four-value interface, so the mismatch is invisible locally.

Fix: declare roundPage to return the Page struct and size/parse the return as 0x20-prefixed (certified at word 1, start 2-4, end 5-7, rounds offset at word 8 relative to the struct start, length at word 9), with a buffer of 320 + 160*limit bytes.

On Sepolia (chain 11155111), eth_call the pinned core with selector 0xc8b9e08f and args afterRound=565, throughRound=565, maxRecords=0.

      It returns 10 words (320 bytes): word0=0x20, word1=565 (certified), word2..4=start (18553, 1999322478319, 8238), word5..7=end (same), word8=0x100 (rounds offset), word9=0 (length). block.timestamp 1794074916 is after genesis 1793735400, so state() and configuration() validate.

Expected: Reader.history(core, 1, 565) succeeds and returnHome credits one capsule.

Actual: boundedCall allocates 288 bytes, the staticcall returns 320 bytes, size > maxBytes, so page() returns false and history() returns false; returnHome reverts InvalidHistory.

A 16-record page is 2880 bytes against the 2848-byte cap.

The proof test reproduces the failure against a core with the deployed struct ABI: it fails [FAIL: InvalidHistory()] on the current tree and passes once roundPage is decoded as the deployed struct.

  7. Write foundry testsAgent #2342 files changedsent back

I added two test files under test/. With the verifier's fuzz seed, forge test passes all 71 tests: the 56 that were already there plus 15 new ones. I found no defects, so there is no .imd-findings.json. Nothing outside test/ was touched, nothing was installed, and nothing is committed.

test/LedgerInvariants.t.sol: invariant tests over random call sequences

This is a handler that drives the real Squeeklings contract (not the test harness) with up to 8 pets and several players. It runs 96 runs × 64 calls, set in the file itself. The calls it makes:

    • Hatch: new hatches, and repeat hatches that must fail with AlreadyHatched.
    • Embark: includes wrong callers (NotPetOwner), pets already away (PetAway) and route 3 (InvalidRoute).
    • Return: includes pets already home (PetAtHome) and trips not yet settled, which must fail with NotSettledYet and the exact round numbers.
    • Settle: settling rounds, mixing all-quiet stretches with busy ones.
    • Full trip: a whole trip in one call.
    • Transfer: transfers that must fail while the pet is away or the caller lacks approval.
    • Equip and unequip: includes items the pet doesn't own, wrong callers and slot 4.
    • Core replacement: an outsider's attempt must fail with OnlyOwner; the owner's must keep the pet's age unchanged.
    • Core outages: these must block writes with CoreUnavailable or InvalidHistory while tokenURI still works and shows "Signal lost".

Every failure the handler expects is checked against its exact revert data, so any other revert fails the run.

Each return is checked against a separate record of what the core actually settled:

    • A trip with zero work gives a Dream item; a trip from before a core replacement gives a Compass.
    • Legendary items appear only when the trip is eligible.
    • The pity guarantee holds, and each tier caps rarity correctly.
    • Pity resets to 0 or goes up by one as the brief says.
    • Empty slots get auto-equipped and filled slots are left alone.

After every call, the invariants check:

    • Every pet's item counts and pity match the separate record.
    • One item is added per return, and owners and total supply match.
    • The contract never holds ETH.
    • Age never goes backwards, and no pet is born after the current age.
    • Away trips have the right length, and equipped items are owned and in the right slot.

To make sure the run isn't empty, I checked a scratch copy: each run completes several returns, with Trail, Dream and Fog all showing up.

test/EdgeCases.t.sol: 14 targeted tests, 4 of them fuzzed

    • Outages: a hatch during a core outage doesn't use up the player's one hatch, and the Hatched event and seed are exact. An embark during an outage leaves the pet home and transferable.
    • Missing pets and approvals: every call on a pet that doesn't exist reverts with the standard ERC-721 error. An approved operator can move a pet but can't embark, equip or unequip it.
    • Failed and repeated returns: a failed history read keeps the pet away and locked, and calling return twice still gives exactly one item.
    • Core replacement: it emits CoreChanged with the right values. A trip from before the swap returns as Fog even if it had fully settled, which is what the brief says.
    • Pity across Fog: pity built on five short trips survives a Fog return, then guarantees a Rare on the next 18-round trip.
    • Same result whoever returns, and whenever: with a snapshot, the item and the event's work, busiest round and entropy are the same whoever calls return, a year later, after 20 busy rounds. The busy round before the trip is never counted.
    • Fuzzed: the trip window follows the wall-clock round for any round length, and waiting never turns unsettled rounds into a Dream trip. Mood looks at exactly the last 6 settled rounds. The Dream table mirrors the Trail table at the same tier, which is the brief's "napping is never worse" rule. Stages only go up as a pet ages and switch at the brief'

  8. Audit judgeAgent #926found 1 critical, 1 medium, 2 info

Review complete. The findings are in .imd-findings.json with all 11 entry points covered. No tracked file was changed; test/scratch/ holds only my throwaway tests.

Outcome: one critical defect blocks this launch. The three specialists who reported the roundPage layout mismatch (economics, math, flow) were describing the same root cause, and I confirmed it independently against the live Sepolia core.

    • Critical, merged from three areas. The pinned SqueekCore returns roundPage as a single dynamic struct, so its returndata starts with a 0x20 offset word and is 320 bytes for a point read. The reader in src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol is sized and validated for a bare four-value tuple of 288 bytes. I verified with eth_call through two public Sepolia RPCs at block 0xb86882 that the live reply is 320 bytes with word 0 equal to 0x20, and that state() and configuration() decode fine. The consequence is that hatch and embark succeed on the live core but every returnHome reverts InvalidHistory forever, every embarked pet is permanently non-transferable, and mood and tokenURI always show Signal lost. My proof replays the exact captured live bytes end to end and fails with InvalidHistory on this tree. I applied a temporary one-word-shift patch locally, saw my proof and all four specialist proofs pass, and restored the file.

    • Medium, kept from economics. A zero-work trip's entropy is the constant keccak of empty bytes, and the player picks endRound by embark timing, so Dream legendaries are selectable with certainty while the hamster is idle. The specialist's proof fails 5 of 5 legendary on this tree. The brief's formula causes it, so the fix is a scope decision for the requester. I note that this proof uses the flat mock layout and must be retargeted after the critical fix.

    • Info, merged from two permissions findings. The owner's setCore voids a settled, unreturned trip into a Fog Compass and accepts any shape-valid core, so the owner can dictate age, mood and rolls. Both reproduce and both are the brief's single intended owner power. Recorded as a trust assumption.

    • Info, recalibrated from low. The README names a literal owner address the brief does not supply. launch.json correctly uses $owner, so there is no manifest defect.

Everything else held: loot table and pity match the brief exactly, transfers and approvals route through the PetAway gate correctly, the manifest is schema-valid with arguments in declaration order, runtime sizes are under the EIP-170 limit, and constructors make no external calls.

    • criticalroundPage return layout mismatch with the pinned SqueekCore V3: the live core returns one dynamic struct (0x20-prefixed, 320 + 160n bytes) while SqueekCoreReader.page expects a bare 4-value tuple (288src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol:99

      Merged from audit_economics (9f63393b), audit_math (c6943d5e) and audit_flow (257fcce8): one root cause.

ISqueekCoreV3.roundPage (src/interfaces/ISqueekCoreV3.sol:27-30) declares four separate return values, and SqueekCoreReader.page is written for that encoding: boundedCall caps the copy at 288 + limit160 bytes (line 99), requires data.length >= 288 (line 102), reads the record count from word 8 and requires word 7 == 256 and length == 288 + count160 (lines 103-105), then abi.decodes a (uint64, Point, Point, Round[]) tuple (line 114).

The deployed core at the brief's address 0xfd6c166d4b8e2962e65746a13e5a0797cd4de0c4 (an EIP-1967 proxy, 761 bytes) returns roundPage as a single dynamic struct.

      I verified this myself with eth_call against public Sepolia RPCs (ethereum-sepolia-rpc.publicnode.com and 1rpc.io/sepolia agree) at block 0xb86882: roundPage(564,564,0) returns 320 bytes = [0x20, 0x234, 0x4879, 0x1d180e7f6ef, 0x202e, 0x4879, 0x1d180e7f6ef, 0x202e, 0x100, 0x0]; roundPage(0,564,2) returns 640 bytes with word8 = 0x100 and word9 = 2; roundPage(0,564,16) returns 2880 bytes with word9 = 16. state() (256 bytes) and configuration() (352 bytes: genesis 1793735400, duration 600, blockUnitsPerBlock 1e9) are static structs and decode fine, so hatch() and embark() succeed against the live core while returnHome() can never succeed.

Trace for a point read: staticcall returns 320 bytes, maxBytes is 288, boundedCall returns (false, '') at line 50, page returns false, history returns false at line 131, returnHome reverts InvalidHistory at Squeeklings.sol:134.

For a records page with limit 16 and n <= 15 records the size fits but word 7 is end.auxiliary (0x202e) != 256 and word 8 is the array offset 0x100 = 256 > limit, so the layout check at line 105 fails; with 16 records the 2880-byte reply exceeds the 2848-byte cap.

Consequences: (1) every current-epoch trip is stuck forever, since _update (Squeeklings.sol:350) reverts PetAway while away is set, every pet that embarks becomes permanently non-transferable; (2) _mood (Squeeklings.sol:322-323) returns signalLost for every token with a healthy core, so mood(), displayData() and tokenURI() always render Signal lost; (3) rule 6 (one capsule per return) never pays out.

The owner's setCore cannot cure it: it turns old trips into Fog returns, but any new V3 core has the same encoding so new trips are stuck too. The full 71-test suite passes only because test/mocks/MockSqueekCore.sol returns the project's own flat tuple. The README statement 'The implementation uses the exact supplied V3 ABI' does not hold for roundPage.

This is a deployment-model-independent breakage of the launch's core feature; severity critical because the primary game loop and NFT transferability are permanently broken for every player.

Fix: decode the single-struct layout (require word 0 == 32, certified at word 1, points at words 2-4 and 5-7, rounds offset 256 at word 8, count at word 9, records from word 10 + 5i, length == 320 + 160count, maxBytes = 320 + 160limit), declare roundPage as returning the struct in ISqueekCoreV3, and change MockSqueekCore to return the struct so the suite exercises the live layout.

I confirmed that with exactly this one-word shift applied locally, the attached proof and all four specialist proofs for this finding pass.

State: Squeeklings deployed with core = the pinned Sepolia core (or the attached LiveBytesCore, which replays the exact captured eth_call results from block 0xb86882 for state(), configuration(), roundPage(558,558,0), roundPage(564,564,0) and roundPage(558,564,16)). block.timestamp = 1793735400 + 557*600 so currentRound() == 558.

Sequence: alice calls hatch() -> id 1 (succeeds); alice calls embark(1, 0) -> trip rounds 559..564 (succeeds); live settledThroughRound is 566 >= 564; anyone calls returnHome(1).

Expected: a Dream capsule is credited, away == false, transferFrom(alice, bob, 1) succeeds.

Actual: returnHome reverts InvalidHistory() on every attempt, forever; transferFrom reverts PetAway(); mood() returns signalLost == true. forge: [FAIL: InvalidHistory()] testSettledTripReturnsAgainstLiveBytes().

The specialists' proofs Proof_257fcce8fde6, Proof_c6943d5e3bc6 and Proof_9f63393b09f8 fail the same way on this tree.

    • mediumDream (zero-work) capsule results are fully computable at embark time, so a player who embarks while the hamster is idle can pick an embark round that yields a Legendary Wishing Star every timesrc/Squeeklings.sol:135

From audit_economics (0c4755a6); reproduced. The roll digest is keccak256(entropy, seed, tokenId, endRound). For a trip with no active rounds, history() hashes an empty buffer (SqueekCoreReader.sol:170-171), so entropy is the constant keccak256(''). seed is public via pet(), tokenId is known, and endRound = currentRound() + routeRounds(route) is chosen by the player through embark timing.

So whenever the hamster is idle (the Squeekchain status API and the Meadow page expose IDLE), the player waits for a round R where uint256(keccak256(abi.encode(keccak256(''), seed, id, uint64(R+36)))) % 100 < 10, about one in ten rounds, and embarks on route 2. If the hamster stays idle the trip is a Dream trip and the roll is Legendary with certainty; if it does work the trip becomes an ordinary Trail draw, so the strategy costs nothing.

The byte-1 variant choice is selectable the same way. This turns the advertised 10% Dream legendary rate (docs/LOOT.md) into near 100% and breaks rule 7's 'same odds' guarantee for the free capsules. No funds are at stake, so medium: a broken odds guarantee under a specific, cheap condition.

The brief's formula is implemented faithfully, so the fix needs a scope decision from the requester: mix into the Dream digest something the player cannot know at embark time even for an empty window (for example the endRound point's cumulativeBlockUnits and auxiliary from the live core, or a blockhash recorded at embark into the Expedition), or accept and document the behaviour.

Note on the attached specialist proof: Proof_0c4755a6a44f fails on this tree with '5 >= 5' as stated, but its IdleCore returns the flat tuple layout, so once finding 1 is fixed it must be re-targeted to the struct layout before it can pass.

State: a V3 core with settled rounds and no active rounds (all points zero). alice hatches id 1, reads seed = pet(1).seed.

      For each of 5 trips: search the smallest round R >= current with uint256(keccak256(abi.encode(keccak256(''), seed, uint256(1), uint64(R+36)))) % 100 < 10; warp to genesis + (R-1)*duration so currentRound() == R; core settled through R-1; alice embark(1, 2); core settles through R+36; anyone returnHome(1).

Expected under honest 10% odds: about 0.5 Legendary in 5 returns (5/5 has probability 1e-5).

Actual: 5/5 returns are Rarity.Legendary itemId 16 (Wishing Star).

Ran the specialist's proof on this tree: [FAIL: Dream legendary chosen by embark timing: 5 >= 5].

    • infoTrust assumption: the owner's setCore both voids any settled-but-unreturned trip into a Fog Compass and accepts any shape-valid core, so the owner can dictate age, mood and every capsule rollsrc/Squeeklings.sol:127

Merged from audit_permissions 732cef3b and 08a023db; both reproduce and both describe the single brief-mandated owner power, not a bypass, so they are recorded as one trust assumption for the launch services. (a) Fog irrespective of settlement: returnHome checks trip.epoch != coreEpoch before reading any history (line 127), so a trip whose endRound is already settled and would yield a fixed Trail item becomes Loot(17, Fog) if the owner calls setCore first.

Verified with a scratch test (snapshot: returnHome gives Kind.Trail; after setCore(next): same call gives itemId 17, Kind.Fog). (b) Shape-only validation: setCore (lines 166-168) only requires configuration() and state() to decode with genesis <= now, nonzero duration and 1e9 units per block.

An owner-authored core passes and then controls ageUnits() (any uint96), mood, and the work/blocks/dataHash inputs to SqueekLoot.draw, so the owner can mint itself a legendary and set every other pet's stage and mood. The brief names setCore as the only owner power and the README documents the owner as trusted to select a genuine core; no funds exist. launch.json fills owner with $owner, which is correct.

No code change required; services should treat the $owner wallet as the oracle authority.

      (a) Squeeklings(core, art, owner) on a MockSqueekCore; alice hatch() -> 1; alice embark(1, 2) at round 1 -> rounds 2..37; core.append(600, 50e9, hash) for rounds 1..37.

      Snapshot: returnHome(1).kind == Trail.

Revert snapshot; owner setCore(next) where next is another readable mock; returnHome(1) -> itemId 17, kind Fog.

Expected by the brief: Fog for older-epoch trips.

Actual: matches; the pending Trail result is replaced.

      (b) owner deploys a core it controls with the required config/state shape, calls setCore(mine); mine reports cumulativeBlockUnits 20_000e9 -> ageBlocks(1) == 20000 (Elder) at once; owner hatches id 2, embarks, settles rounds with a chosen dataHash so that keccak(digest) % 100 < 10 -> returnHome(2) yields Legendary itemId 8.

    • infoREADME states a literal launch owner address that the approved brief does not name; launch.json correctly uses $owner, so this is a documentation inconsistency onlyREADME.md:45

From audit_permissions 4df03eb1, recalibrated from low to info. The approved workflow states no owner address: the core address is the only literal it gives. README line 45 presents 0x6073...9dee as 'the supplied launch owner' with no source in the tree.

I read launch.json: contracts[1].constructorArgs is ["0xfd6c166d4b8e2962e65746a13e5a0797cd4de0c4", "$contract:SqueeklingsArt", "$owner"], so the manifest does not hardcode this literal and the specialist's failing manifest state does not exist in the tree.

Because owner is immutable and the only holder of setCore, a future manifest that copied the README literal would permanently hand oracle authority to that address; the README should either cite where the address comes from or say $owner only. No code or manifest defect.

Read README.md line 45 (literal 0x60731C2F051dA8708E405f64e803F3c8D1059dee, unsourced) and .imd/reads/workflow.md (no owner address).

Read launch.json line 13: third constructor word is "$owner".

Expected: documentation and manifest agree on $owner.

Actual: manifest uses $owner (correct); README asserts a literal the brief does not supply.

  9. Build contract projectAgent #2210 files changed

Both reopened findings reproduced, the critical one is fixed, and the full suite passes on the fixed tree with the verifier's fuzz seed, the format check, and a clean rebuild.

Critical finding (roundPage layout), fixed. I confirmed it two ways: the reviewer's proof failed with InvalidHistory() on the starting tree, and my own eth_call against the pinned Sepolia core through a public RPC at block 12,085,427 returned roundPage as one dynamic struct (leading 0x20 word, rounds offset 256 at word 8, count at word 9, 320 + 160 × records bytes). The changes are confined to the cause:

    • src/interfaces/ISqueekCoreV3.sol declares a RoundPage struct and roundPage returns it.
    • src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol caps the copy at 320 + 160 × limit bytes and validates the struct offset, rounds offset, count, length, and field widths at their shifted positions before decoding.
    • test/mocks/MockSqueekCore.sol returns the struct, so the whole existing suite now exercises the live layout.
    • New test/LiveCoreLayout.t.sol replays byte-exact captured replies (idle 6-round window, a 13-record 36-round window, a 1-record truncated page, and the 16-record 2,880-byte maximum) through hatch, embark, return, transfer, mood, and the reader, cross-checked against the compiler's own abi.decode.
    • MetadataAndFaults additionally asserts the old bare-tuple layout is rejected.

The Squeeklings and SqueeklingsArt external ABIs are unchanged, so the exported ABI files were verified identical rather than regenerated.

Medium finding (Dream roll selectable by embark timing), disputed with documentation. It reproduces: a scratch test got 5 of 5 Legendary Dream returns by choosing the embark round. But the roll is the brief's own formula implemented as written, and no funds are at stake. Following the reviewer's second option, the README, docs/LOOT.md, and docs/VERIFICATION.md now state the property plainly and that changing the roll is the requester's decision.

Advisory findings. The owner trust assumption is the brief's rule 5, so no code change, but the README trust section now spells out that settled-but-unreturned trips become Fog after a core switch and that $owner is the oracle authority. The README owner literal is removed in favour of $owner with its source explained.

Results: 61 tests across 9 suites pass, the reviewer's proof passes on the result, forge fmt --check is clean, and .imd-responses.json answers all four findings. No launch.json was written. Python is not installed on this machine, so the ABI check script could not run here and the comparison was done with node instead.

  10. ManifestAgent #281no changes

The manifest held up against everything in this round, so I'm leaving launch.json exactly as it was accepted. Here is what I verified.

    Result: no change required

The brief listed no findings, and the only change to the tree since my previous round was another contributor's commit 0fc76b1, which rewrote how SqueekCoreReader decodes the live core's roundPage reply (single-struct layout). That change does not touch anything the manifest describes:

    Manifest claimAccepted sourceStatus
SqueeklingsArt, no constructor argssrc/SqueeklingsArt.sol:10 declares no constructor✅
    Squeeklings(core_, art_, owner_)src/Squeeklings.sol:82 — three address params in that order; docs/abi/Squeeklings.json agrees✅
core_ = 0xfd6c166d…de0c4The approved SqueekCore V3 from the brief; matches README.md:42 and test/LiveCoreLayout.t.sol:13; eth_getCode on Sepolia returns live bytecode✅

owner_ = $ownerowner is an explicit immutable (Squeeklings.sol:27,86); no msg.sender/tx.origin ownership; only privilege is setCore (:163), as the brief's Rule 5 specifies✅

Constructors are nonpayable, and the zero-address guard at Squeeklings.sol:83 means every argument the manifest supplies is non-zero, as required.

    Checks run

    • forge build — clean (one pre-existing unsafe-typecast lint warning in source I don't own).
    • forge test with FOUNDRY_FUZZ_SEED=0x67c0…8604 (also pinned in foundry.toml) — 61 passed, 0 failed across 9 suites, including the fuzz and invariant suites.
    • A scratch validator (test/scratch/check_manifest.mjs) that checks the exact key set (kind/contracts/notes only), identifier rules, uniqueness, backward-only $contract: references filling address slots, string-typed args, notes length, and constructor arity against the exported ABIs — no errors.
    • git submodule status is empty; lib/ contains plain directories.
    • Working tree is clean; test/scratch/ is gitignored and will be discarded.

No file other than launch.json was in scope, and since the accepted manifest already matches the accepted implementation and the approved brief, rewriting it would only give the reviewer a different file to read for no gain.

    #658Claude2 files changed

My earlier tests had stopped compiling after the implementation changed. They're fixed, and forge build and forge test (with the verifier's seed) now pass: 77 tests in 11 suites, none failing or skipped.

What broke: another contributor changed SqueekCore's roundPage to return a single RoundPage struct, matching how the deployed core encodes its reply. My invariant suite still read the old four-value return, so the whole project failed to compile. In test/LedgerInvariants.t.sol (lines 176–177) it now reads the start and end points from .end. Nothing else in that file changed. Both invariant suites (LedgerInvariants and Stateful) run their random call sequences with 0 reverts.

What I added: one test in test/EdgeCases.t.sol, testMalformedPageRepliesAreRejectedFieldByField, covering the input checks behind the new reply format:

    • Accepted: a well-formed reply, plus the edge values that must still pass — the certified round at either end of the requested range, and fields at their maximum size.
    • Rejected, one fault at a time:
      • a wrong position marker at the start of the reply or before the rounds list
      • a certified round outside the requested range
      • a record count above the limit
      • a number too large for its field, in the start or end point or in a record
      • a reply one record short or one word too long
      • a count that doesn't match the reply's length
      • a reply in the old four-value format

I found no defect in the implementation, so there is no .imd-findings.json. Only those two test files changed. The other untracked entries in the repo root were already there; I didn't create them.

  12. Audit judgeAgent #760found nothing

All of last round's findings are settled, and I found nothing new to report. The findings file holds an empty list and a coverage record answering all 11 entry points plus two invariants.

Critical finding (roundPage layout mismatch): fixed and confirmed.

    • The reader in src/libraries/SqueekCoreReader.sol now caps the copy at 320 + 160 × limit bytes, requires the leading offset word of 32, the rounds offset of 256 at word 8, the count at word 9, an exact length, validates each record from word 10, and decodes the struct. The interface declares the struct and the mock returns it.
    • My earlier proof and the flow specialist's proof both pass on the revised tree. The committed suite passes with the default seed and with a second seed at more runs.
    CheckResult
    Proof_80fa455b1422 on revised tree2 passed

forge fmt --check on committed filesclean
Runtime sizes17,814 and 20,313 bytes, within limits
    • I re-queried the pinned Sepolia core today at two public RPCs. A point read still returns 320 bytes beginning with 0x20, and a 16-record page returns 2,880 bytes with the count at word 9. The reader's new checks match that layout exactly.

Medium finding (Dream roll selectable by embark timing): dropped as settled. The author reproduced it and chose the documentation option I offered. The limitation is now stated in the README, the loot document and the verification document. It is the brief's formula as written, no funds are at stake, and changing the roll remains the requester's decision.

Both advisory items: settled. The trust assumption about setCore is now spelled out in the README's trust section and in the verification notes. The README no longer states a literal owner address. The manifest uses $owner for the third constructor word, which is correct.

New-code read and static analysis. The diff is the one-word shift plus matching mock, harness and test changes, and I found no defect in it. Slither reports the same nine medium lines the verifier listed and no high. Each is benign: the strict equality guards blockhash on block zero, the uninitialized history struct is intentional for the Fog path, and the ignored returns are validity checks that revert on a bad item ID.

I removed my scratch copies of the proofs before finishing, so the findings file is the only addition to the tree.

Two reproducible bugs are recorded in .imd-findings.json:

    • Medium — bug: My Burrow’s “Copy link” copies #/burrow instead of the displayed pet’s public URL.
    • Medium — bug: Finding one pet in a partial history scan hides “Load older activity,” preventing discovery of other owned pets through My Burrow.
    Explicit requirementStatus and evidence
Preserve the deployed implementation; do not redeployMet — deployed source unchanged; handoff preserved. Contracts were not reaudited.
Source, packages and configuration under web/; export under dist/; documentation in allowed pathsMet — delivered directory structure.
“label squeeklings, hash routing… cozy burrow look, fits 390px”Met — app navigation, styling and browser screenshots.
Injected wallet on Sepolia; named wallets, mobile entry and Coinbase supportMet — wallet picker and configured network; Chromium interaction checks.
Free hatch, one per address; SQLING, 88,888 cap; no fungible tokenMet — Hatchery eligibility/supply reads and rules page.
My Burrow: animated SVG, pity n/5, inventory, four equipment slots and route cards with real timesMet — pet view and contract calendar reads; discovery defect noted above.
Away → Waiting for settlement → Ready; capsule drop, wobble, crack and rarity glowMet — state logic, confirmed-event reveal and animation styles.
Public canvas Meadow; wheel uses measurement.rpmMilli; rests at night for idle, stale or unavailable signalsMet — Meadow renderer and status parsing.
Mood-based home pets; three expedition trails; return ticker; maximum 150 pets through logs and Multicall3; reduced motionMet — Meadow and chain-read implementation.
Public #/pet/:id with Share on X; Expedition LogMet — both routes work; supplemental copy-link defect noted above.
How it works: odds, pity, welfare, addresses and testnet/no-value explanationMet — rules page.
Contract-only game state; public RPC fallbacks; API restricted to wheel/status; simulated writes and plain-English errorsMet — runtime, read and transaction paths.
No payments, paid pulls, betting, backend, analytics, emails, private keys, cheer controls or running rewardsMet — no such production features found.
Observability and validation evidenceMet — read/transaction status, build, typecheck, six unit tests and 27 Chromium checks.
Implementation-derived pinned ABIs; exact deployment identifiers/contracts; one runtime manifest; unchanged network configurationMet — pinned-source comparisons, canonical ABI hashes and configuration checks. No pool key exists in this handoff.
Complete relative asset inventory, SHA-256 hashes and size limits; manifest excludes itselfMet — all 18 assets verified, totaling 988,828 bytes.
Title, favicon, description, Open Graph title and imageMet — export metadata and share-card asset.
Source published to GitHubAfter review — publisher’s responsibility.
IPFS hosting and public URLAfter review — publisher’s responsibility.

The visual idea is a warm illustrated burrow for a free pet game, with a pixel meadow as its shared world.

The reproduced static build matches the export. Wallet/RPC interactions used fixtures; WebKit validation remained unavailable. Site files were unchanged.

    • mediumbug: Copy link in My Burrow shares the wallet page instead of the displayed petweb/src/PetPage.tsx:90

Now: My Burrow reuses PetPage for a single owned pet, but Copy link writes the current #/burrow URL while reporting “Pet link copied.” A recipient opens their own wallet page, not the shared pet.

Change to: Build one canonical URL whose hash is /pet/${id}, as the existing Share on X handler already does, and copy that URL.

Why: Pet sharing must identify the displayed NFT independently of the recipient’s wallet.

At 390×844 in Chromium, use web/tests/fixture.mjs with its default single owned pet #1 and connect Test Burrow Wallet.

Open My Burrow (#/burrow), wait for Squeekling #1, and click Copy link.

Capture navigator.clipboard.writeText with a test stub: its argument ends in #/burrow, while Share on X on the same view contains #/pet/1.

Opening the copied URL disconnected shows “Your burrow is waiting.” instead of Squeekling #1.

Expected: copied link ends in #/pet/1 and opens the public pet view.

    • mediumbug: the single-pet My Burrow view removes access to unscanned owned petsweb/src/Burrow.tsx:15

Now: As soon as the bounded history scan finds exactly one owned pet, My Burrow returns the single-pet view before rendering the truncated-history notice and Load older activity control. Another owned pet whose Transfer is older than the initial 24,000-block window becomes undiscoverable through My Burrow.

Change to: Keep the existing truncated-history notice and Load older activity button accessible in the single-pet branch, or enter that branch only after activity.data.truncated is false.

Why: A single discovered pet is not evidence of a single owned pet. The collection must retain its existing way to discover older ownership records.

At 390×844 in Chromium, serve dist/ with web/tests/fixture.mjs.

Set the returned tip/block number to 12,115,595; own pets #1 and #2 with the same connected account; put #1’s Transfer at 12,115,585 and #2’s Transfer at 12,085,597 (deployment boundary 12,085,595).

Let eth_getLogs honor its requested ranges.

      Connect and open #/burrow.

The 12 initial 2,000-block scans cover 12,091,596–12,115,595 and find only #1.

Measured: Squeekling #1 is displayed, zero Load older activity buttons exist, and no truncation notice appears despite balanceOf(account)=2.

Direct #/pet/2 loads #2, and The Meadow’s Load older activity discovers both, confirming the older pet is available.

Expected: My Burrow retains the existing older-history control until its scan is complete.
