STRATOKS Phase 2A correction: finish and validate the delivered brain integration before art or payments.

Continue job 0d68ff3b-01a8-4c84-91fa-13c9e8d9dcb0 and its repository https://github.com/identity-md-launches/launch-2613-stratoks-phase-integrate-scientifically from commit 99e50b1c275b9422c14f279498b3e192b151992b. Preserve the full application, mb-v1 circuit, existing learning evidence and world migration. Do not reset production, deploy to the owner's VPS or change contracts. Production remains legacy until owner validation.

  1. Fix the reproduced starvation reflex regression in server/src/actions.js. With hunger=85, a full bush at distance 1 and another at distance 11, mb-v1 currently chooses whichever EAT candidate was inserted first. Choose the nearest feasible food target for the emergency reflex, with deterministic ties. Keep learned target selection for non-emergency decisions. Test both insertion orders and every brain mode. Never present a reflex as learned behavior.

  2. Make mb-v1-ablated a clean, non-learning control. Disable circuit plasticity in rewardAction and report learningEnabled=false and learned=false consistently. Preserve existing weights while ablated and when switching back to mb-v1. Add restart and mode-switch regressions. Preserve the separately documented wallet-memory policy.

  3. Correct candidate-count bias. Multiple food targets must not increase the overall probability of selecting EAT merely because that action appears more times. Use a documented hierarchical action/target selection or count-normalized alternative that retains learned target preferences. Do not alter legacy behavior. Test duplicated/equal-score targets and meaningful unequal learned preferences. Rerun all learning and ecology comparisons across the same 10 seeds; report regressions and confounds honestly, without adjusting resources to manufacture improvement.

  4. In web/src/Panels.tsx replace 'Legacy learning archive' with 'Learning history'. Identify retained 'Linear-policy updates' separately; recent decisions span active policies and mean reward includes all completed actions. Keep the brain inspector accurate in all modes.

  5. Run the corrected service under real Docker/cgroup limits: 512 MB and 0.75 CPU, targeting the 1 GB x86_64 VPS. Test 24,100,250 creatures with multiple clients; report actual runtime, RSS, tick p95/p99, memory/cpu enforcement and supported capacity. If unavailable, deliver a runnable isolated benchmark and state it is unverified. Retest migration, restart, backup/restore, legacy equivalence and all 68 existing tests plus new regressions. Keep production data untouched.

  6. Rebuild and publish the corrected static client. The previous ENS URL returned a TLS error in requester checks; verify a working HTTPS URL and exact release CID/commit. If platform DNS/TLS is outside your control, identify that boundary and provide a tested gateway to the same export. Deliver a VPS-ready package and exact configuration/migration steps, not a claim of backend hosting.

Acceptance: independent review must reproduce the original failures and verify the fixes on the final commit. Include raw experiment/benchmark results and an issue-to-fix table. Preserve the honest description 'reduced mushroom-body-inspired circuit'; this is not a complete fruit-fly brain. No visual redesign or IMD payment integration in this correction.

    • High — bug: starvation still depends on food insertion order. With hunger 85, nine depleted bushes and full bushes at distances 1 and 11, reversing the full bushes makes every mode choose distance 11. The memory cap discards the nearest bush before emergency selection. Select emergency food before applying the learned-target cap.
    • Medium — fidelity: retained decisions inherit the current mode’s explanation. Restarting an accepted-parent mb-v1 snapshot in legacy mode describes circuit scores as linear-policy output and hides recorded sparse activity. Preserve the captured mode or explicitly label it unrecorded.

    Both findings include exact source snippets, reproduction steps and measured evidence.

    Reviewed commit: ca7a1770779b3c55e519fc98ed80abe4b983fa7f. All 101 server tests and 17 client tests pass. Chromium and WebKit each pass 16 interaction checks. Independent reruns exactly match all 120 learning and 40 ecology records. The rebuild matches all 19 exported files, and CAR traversal verifies the recorded CID.

      Now: emergencyFood only examines the already truncated food memory. The eleventh newly perceived site is discarded before emergency selection even if it is the closest reachable full bush; its timestamp is assigned only after truncation. Depleted sites consume the same ten slots. Thus the corrected starvation reflex still chooses food by insertion order in a clearing with ordinary depleted scenery.

      Change to: choose emergency food from all currently sensed sites plus retained remembered sites before applying the ten-target cap; filter feasibility, then sort by distance and stable id. Keep the learned non-emergency candidate limit separate and add both-order regressions with nine depleted sites and two full sites.

      Why: requirement 1 asks for the nearest feasible emergency food target with deterministic ties in every brain mode.

    • mediumfidelity: retained pre-correction decisions are attributed to the current brain modeweb/src/BrainBehavior.tsx:44

      Now: decisions persisted by accepted commit 99e50b1 have no mode field. After restarting in another mode, the inspector substitutes the current mode for that unknown historical mode. A retained mb-v1 decision shown after switching to legacy is explained as a linear-policy decision even while its table contains a nonzero circuit association; its eight recorded active units are also hidden by the same fallback at line 47. The general pending-action footnote does not identify this uncertainty.

      Change to: label absent captured modes as "Decision mode unrecorded" and use neutral candidate explanations for those records, or annotate retained decisions from their stored world mode before applying an explicit startup mode switch. Gate sparse-activity disclosure on the recorded trace rather than the current mode when capture metadata is absent. Add an accepted-parent snapshot restart regression without first calling the new decide.

      Why: requirement 4 says to keep the brain inspector accurate in all modes, and the brief requires preserving existing world/history data.

      Expected: captured old circuit mode or explicit unknown historical mode, without claiming these totals came from the linear policy.

      This uses an unmodified accepted-parent snapshot, not a fabricated response.

    Reproduced and fixed both findings; recorded responses in .imd-responses.json. Rebuilt the static client and VPS package.

    Passed 137 server tests, 17 client tests, Chromium/WebKit checks and all 16 design checks. Review and evidence document the intended legacy ecology changes.

    Submission fits within 8 MiB. Docker limits and public HTTPS remain unverified. Production remains untouched.
