  1. Enable multiplayer

Upgrade and complete the existing SQUEEK PENALTY game so it is fully playable with X login and real multiplayer, and so the Squeekchain rounds actually affect the match.

The current codebase is already in this repository. Do not rebuild from scratch. Fix and activate what is missing.

CRITICAL MISSING FEATURES TO ENABLE:

  1. X LOGIN WITH PRIVY (MUST WORK)
  • Properly wire up Privy so players can log in with X/Twitter only.
  • Use embedded wallets in the background (players never see a seed phrase or need an external wallet).
  • Show the player’s real X avatar and handle in the game.
  • Make sure the login flow works cleanly on both desktop and mobile.
  • Practice mode can still work without login. Multiplayer requires X login.
  1. REAL 1v1 MULTIPLAYER (MUST WORK)
  • Deploy and connect the PartyKit multiplayer server so two players can actually play against each other.
  • Room codes and quick match should both work.
  • Both players’ X avatars + handles must appear on the pitch.
  • Choices stay secret until both players lock in (or the timer ends).
  • Handle disconnects gracefully.
  • Add a clear “Share on X” button after the match with the score and game link.
  1. STRONGER SQUEEKCHAIN INTEGRATION (MAKE IT MATTER) Right now Nap/Jog/Zoomies only change visuals. Change this so the last settled Squeekchain round actually affects gameplay.
  • Keep pulling live data from https://api.squeekchain.com/v1
  • Display current round + last outcome clearly on the pitch.
  • Make the last settled round give a real advantage:
    • Zoomies → kicker advantage (faster ball or wider scoring window)
    • Nap → goalkeeper advantage (bigger dive range or slower ball)
    • Jog → normal rules
  • Show a clear visual indicator when a hamster advantage is active.
  • Keep the official livestream link visible.

POLISH & COMPLETENESS:

  • Make sure the whole flow feels smooth and premium.
  • First-to-3 with equal turns + sudden death should stay.
  • Mobile controls must feel good (big buttons).
  • Sound effects and animations should stay satisfying.
  • The game should work well even if the Squeekchain API is slow or unavailable (fall back gracefully).

DEPLOYMENT & GITHUB:

  • Deploy the updated site so it is publicly playable on the *.imd.site link.
  • Make sure Privy and PartyKit are properly configured and working on the live site.
  • After finishing, push the complete, working source code to my GitHub account: Thereisnodekunle.
  • Create a clean public repository under Thereisnodekunle (or push to an existing one if I already have one for this project) so I can easily deploy it to Vercel later with a custom domain.
  • Include a clear README with setup instructions for local development and Vercel deployment.
  • Do not leave features half-implemented. X login and multiplayer must actually work for real users.

This is a continuation of the existing Squeek Penalty project. Complete the missing pieces properly so people can log in with X and play real matches against each other, with the hamster’s real activity influencing the game, and put the final code on my GitHub.

    Failed in the task.

needs input: X login and multiplayer are already coded but switched off: public/game-config.json has privyAppId and partyHost set to null. Turning them on needs the owner's public Privy app ID (with Twitter/X login enabled and the site's *.imd.site origin allowed) and the HTTPS address of a PartyKit service deployed under the owner's account (this job has no PartyKit or GitHub account and cannot deploy or push for Thereisnodekunle). Neither value is in the brief, and making one up would ship a login and lobby that don't work. — Please send your Privy app ID (Twitter/X login enabled, with the site origin allowed) and the HTTPS URL of your deployed PartyKit server, or a PartyKit deploy token if you want this job to deploy it. Is pushing to GitHub user Thereisnodekunle something you'll do yourself from the delivered repository?

    #12Claude15 files changed

This is not finished: X login and multiplayer are still off, and nothing I changed has been built or run. The shell never started in this run, so I wrote the code by hand and couldn't test it. dist/ wasn't rebuilt, so the published site will still be the old version, with cosmetic hamster effects only.

    What the tools answered

    • Shell (every command, even true): Sandbox is required but failed to initialize: Failed to create bridge sockets after 5 attempts. Restart to retry. Running it outside the sandbox (dangerouslyDisableSandbox) is not allowed either.
    • Browser: Socket directory path is too long (131 bytes); set PWTEST_SOCKETS_DIR to a shorter location.
    • Live Squeekchain API (web fetch): HTTP 403, so I relied on the response format in the earlier tests. I don't know how often each outcome appears in real data.

Without the shell I also couldn't commit, so all of this is uncommitted in the working tree. A rerun on a machine with a working shell could start with the checks below.

    What's written but untested

    • Hamster advantage: the last settled round now changes scoring, for practice and online. The rule is fixed at the start of each turn.
Last settled roundEffectGoal rate if both pick at random
ZoomiesFaster ball; a correct dive still concedes 35% of the timeabout 78%
Jog, or no dataNormal rulesabout 67%
NapSlower ball; the keeper can reach one lane further 35% of the timeabout 51%
    • On the pitch: a colored ring shows when an advantage is active. A new bar under the pitch shows the rule and a "Watch live" link.
    • Fair online play: the server reads the feed and rolls the 35% chance itself, so a client can't pick its own advantage.
    • API outages: the last good round stays in effect for 10 minutes, then play falls back to normal rules.
    • Disconnects: the client retries for about 20 seconds and the server holds the seat for 30. If the player doesn't return, the other player wins by walkover.
    • Bugs found by reading the code:
      • Privy's login window could open behind the game's dialog.
      • A next turn arriving during a reveal could freeze the screen.
      • Goal announcements could name the wrong player.
      • Quick-match rooms showed a private code to share.
    • Docs and setup: I added tests, Vercel config and the README's "After launch" section, and updated DESIGN.md and VALIDATION.md. VALIDATION.md marks every check on this revision as not run, including the Better Interface review, which was a source reading only.

    What's still missing

    RequirementState
Rebuilt dist/, typecheck, tests, browser checks, design probeNot run
Main action on the first screen at 390 wideNot re-measured; the new bar adds about 40px above it
X loginOff until you set a Privy app ID
    MultiplayerOff until you deploy PartyKit
Public GitHub repo under ThereisnodekunleNot created; this job has no access to that account

    Decisions I made

    • Privy app ID and PartyKit address: left unset with those features off, because a made-up value would ship a login that fails. Each is a one-line setting.
    • PartyKit deploy and GitHub push: not done because they need your accounts. The README has the exact commands.
    • Advantage strength: 35%, so it's noticeable without replacing the guessing game. A guaranteed Nap effect would make diving center always correct.
    • Batches covering several rounds: rated by average work per round. Treating them as "Unknown" would leave those batches with no effect on play.
    • Allowed site origins: defaults to https://*.imd.site, because the final address is assigned after this job. Players still need a valid X login.
    • Protected paths: lib/ and package.json are off limits under this job's rules, so the new logic is in rules/hamster.ts and no dependencies were added.

    • High — bug: The playable export still contains the old cosmetic-only hamster behavior.
    • High — fidelity: Batch averaging can apply Zoomies when the last settled round was Nap.
    • Medium — bug: Disconnecting during initial feed loading starts an invalid one-player match.
    • Medium — bug: Private room codes beginning with Q disappear from the lobby.

All 51 existing tests passed, plus a check of 4,531 scoring states. Browser, Safari and real-account flows remain unverified. No results were fabricated.

    • highbug: the delivered playable export still uses the old cosmetic-only hamster rulescomponents/Game.tsx:422

Now: the new resolveHamsterKick integration exists in source but is absent from the committed dist export that scripts/preview.mjs serves and README identifies as the production artifact. The shipped application still says "A sleepy keeper with the same fair odds." and contains none of the new advantage or reconnect UI.

Change to: rebuild and validate the static export from the current source before publication, and include that matching export in the delivery. Verify Nap/Zoomies scoring and the advantage bar in the exported application.

Why: the core requirement is to make settled Squeekchain outcomes actually affect the playable game. A source-only implementation does not activate that behavior for visitors to the submitted site.

      Width: any, including 390px.

Start node scripts/preview.mjs, GET http://127.0.0.1:3000/ and its referenced app/page JavaScript chunk, then inspect the served application.

Measured: dist/index.html has zero occurrences of hamster-bar; the page runtime chunk has zero occurrences of "kicker advantage", "keeper advantage", "35%", "squeek-after-login", and "opponent-disconnected", but contains "A sleepy keeper with the same fair odds.".

Source components/Game.tsx renders hamster-bar and uses resolveHamsterKick; components/Pitch.tsx renders advantage-kicker/advantage-keeper.

README.md:9 and :13 explicitly confirm that dist was not rebuilt.

Expected: the served static application contains and runs the current scoring/advantage/reconnect implementation.

This finding concerns missing runtime behavior, not dependency packaging.

    • highfidelity: batch averaging can give the opposite of the last settled round’s advantagerules/hamster.ts:152

Now: settledOutcome divides the work of an entire batch by its round count and labels that average as the last settled round. A batch ending with a zero-work round can therefore activate Zoomies.

Change to: derive the final round from its RoundRecorded work or a provable zero-work tail; return Unknown with normal rules when the final round cannot be established. Do not label a batch average as the last outcome.

Why: the brief explicitly says the last settled round determines Zoomies, Nap or Jog; a previous active round must not give the kicker an advantage after a Nap.

Width: 390px or any (shared parser, reproduced in Node).

      Call parseFeed(null, {schemaVersion:1,status:"available",configuration:{genesisTimestamp:"1793022600",roundDuration:"600"},events:[{eventName:"BatchSettled",arguments:[{name:"settledThroughRound",value:"102"},{name:"previousSettledThroughRound",value:"100"},{name:"cumulativeWork",value:"600"},{name:"activeRoundCount",value:"1"}]},{eventName:"RoundRecorded",arguments:[{name:"roundId",value:"101"},{name:"work",value:"600"}]},{eventName:"BatchSettled",arguments:[{name:"settledThroughRound",value:"100"},{name:"previousSettledThroughRound",value:"99"},{name:"cumulativeWork",value:"0"},{name:"activeRoundCount",value:"0"}]}]}).

Round 101 accounts for all 600 work and the only active round, so round 102 has zero work.

      Measured actual: outcome:"Zoomies", outcomeRound:"102".

Expected: Nap for round 102 (or Unknown if evidence is judged insufficient), never Zoomies.

The official rounds reference also prohibits inventing per-round records from unexplained cumulative work: https://docs.squeekchain.com/system/rounds-and-blocks/.

    • mediumbug: a disconnect while the first turn loads leaves an invalid one-player matchparty/server.ts:233

Now: startTurn awaits the feed while stage is still waiting. onClose removes a departing player in that stage; startTurn then enters choosing without checking that two seats remain. The shot timer subsequently dereferences an undefined keeper.

Change to: mark the match as starting before awaiting the feed and use the reconnect grace period for those seats, or cancel the pending start if either seat disappears; verify both seats before opening a turn.

Why: the brief requires graceful disconnect handling, including when a player drops just as their opponent joins.

Width: 390px or any (server state is viewport-independent).

With the existing server class and two test identities, create ABC234 as Alice, join as Bob, and keep fetchCore pending.

While stage=waiting and players.length=2, remove Alice’s connection and call onClose(Alice); resolve fetchCore with a valid core response and await Bob’s authenticate call.

      Measured actual: stage=choosing, players.length=1.

Calling onAlarm throws "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'id')" in settle.

Expected: a held reconnect seat or a cancelled start, without starting a shootout with one player.

Reproduced against the actual TypeScript server loaded in memory, with only identity verification and feed I/O injected as in tests/rooms.test.ts.

    • mediumbug: private room codes beginning with Q are hidden as quick matchescomponents/useOnlineMatch.ts:183

Now: any waiting room whose name starts with Q gets roomCode=null. Private six-character room codes use an alphabet that includes Q, so a valid private room can lose both its displayed code and the Copy room code button.

Change to: identify quick rooms by their reserved eleven-character Q-prefixed format (or retain an explicit quick-match flag), and always show six-character private room codes.

Why: room-code multiplayer requires the creator to see and share the generated code; a random initial Q must not make a private lobby unjoinable through the UI.

Width: 390px or 1440px; requires configured login/multiplayer, or the isolated hook reproduction.

Call connect("create") with getRandomValues returning [14,0,0,0,0,0], which generates QAAAAA; deliver {type:"waiting"}.

Measured on the actual hook with injected React state and WebSocket I/O: URL=wss://rooms.test/parties/main/QAAAAA, state="waiting", roomCode=null.

The waiting-room renderer at components/Game.tsx:1393 therefore displays "Finding another player…" and omits the copy button at :1402.

Expected: "Room QAAAAA" and Copy room code.

The same occurs for every generated six-character private room beginning with Q (one of the 32 possible first letters).

  4. Build websiteAgent #163139 files changed

Fixed all four findings and rebuilt dist/: scoring advantages, settled-round parsing, startup disconnects, and Q-prefixed room codes.

Build/typecheck passed, plus 60 unit tests, 18 Chromium checks, and 16 design checks. Bundle: 8,254,728 bytes, under 8 MiB. Documentation and .imd-responses.json are complete.

Live X login/multiplayer still require owner Privy/PartyKit configuration. Deployment and GitHub push were not performed; WebKit validation remains unavailable.
