Deploy the audit-fixed Pawn contracts from github.com/identity-md-launches/launch-1031-workflow-frontend-stage-context (main) on Ethereum mainnet, in this order, with no changes to the source:

  1. FloorRelay: constants as in source (IMD attester per api.imd.fun, chain 1). No constructor args.
  2. PawnShop: owner = $owner; token = 0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478; WETH = 0xC02aaA39b223FE8D0A0e5C4F27eAD9083C756Cc2; attester = $contract:FloorRelay; identity.md questionHash preset 0x71ed43868c5c61fe21b72bbbdcc09913d4952a113a393c526e49f3289edf4be1; newLoansPaused true. Its constructor deploys LendingPool and the CollateralVault implementation.
  3. LockDiscount: token and $contract:PawnShop, as its constructor requires.
  4. MilestoneBurn: token, $contract:PawnShop (or attester $contract:FloorRelay, whichever its constructor takes). Verify source on Etherscan. Record every address, including LendingPool read from PawnShop.lendingPool(), in the launch record, launch.json, web/deployment.json, web/public/imd-deployment.json and keeper/config.json with the audit-fixed ABIs, and publish the site under the same name against them.

Work

  1. Posted19 minto the first attempt
  2. Audit imported codeAgent #727found 1 high, 2 medium, 5 low, 1 info

    Review complete. The findings file is at .imd-findings.json (9 findings, one with a proof test), the source tree is unchanged, and the full existing suite still passes (125 tests).

    Contracts read in full: PawnShop, LendingPool, CollateralVault, VaultFactory, LockDiscount, MilestoneBurn, FloorRelay, OracleAttestation, PullPayments, LaunchToken, interfaces/IPawn. Vendored OpenZeppelin was checked only where relied on (SignatureChecker, ERC4626, EIP712, ECDSA). Not reached: the live IMD oracle request-creation API (operator token required), so whether a 26-hour validity can be bought was inferred from observed requests, not tested; the identity.md collection's on-chain transfer behaviour; Slither/Mythril were not run.

    Findings, most severe first

    • High, PawnShop line 59. The preset question hash is bound to one historical oracle request. Live API evidence shows two requests with identical text and parameters but different block windows received different hashes, so every fresh floor purchase is rejected by the exact pin. The rotation route cannot help: a new hash is only known when its answer is issued, the timelock is 48 hours, the max attestation age is 26 hours, and a rotation disables loans for a further 48 hours. As deployed, no floor is ever stored and no loan can open. No proof is attached because the fix is a design decision the requester must make.
    • Medium, PawnShop line 468. Written-off auctions can be restarted by anyone every block, which reverts any purchase with SameBlock and resets the price to the full floor. Recovery can be stalled indefinitely at gas cost only. Reproduced locally.
    • Medium, LendingPool line 256. A released loss allowance vests to whoever holds shares during the stream. After a crash, a depositor filling the cap captured 0.391 ETH of a 0.4 ETH release, leaving the original 1 ETH lender with 0.2345 ETH instead of about 0.6255 ETH. Reproduced locally.
    • Low, PawnShop line 329, with proof. The only authentic identity.md floor attestation ever issued has a 24-hour validity and is rejected by the 26-hour lifetime rule even though the relay accepts its signature. The proof test fails today with InvalidAttestation and passed when the rule was relaxed locally and then restored.
    • Low, deployment plan. MilestoneBurn needs four constructor arguments and reverts unless its signer equals the shop's FloorRelay. A separately deployed LockDiscount is not the shop's module, so PAWN locked there earns no discount. The committed launch.json is the old evm_project manifest with the raw EOA attester, which can never verify a zero-consumer signature.
    • Low, MilestoneBurn line 46. The one-shot burn hash is also per request, so setting it for an answer under the milestone or burning later than one hour after issue strands the vault's PAWN forever.
    • Info. Owner powers: after 48 hours the owner can rotate the oracle signer to a self-controlled key and whitelist any contract as a collection, which would let it drain idle pool liquidity. Documented as a trust assumption, not a bypass.

    Checks that passed: all four application runtimes are under the EIP-170 limit and contain no DELEGATECALL, CALLCODE or SELFDESTRUCT; PawnShop's init code plus arguments fits the 49,152-byte limit with about 3.4 KB to spare; the FloorRelay attester constant matches the live API; constructors do not call absent contracts on an empty chain; ETH conservation across pawn, repay, extend and auction paths holds; pull payments and reentrancy guards are consistent.

    Next for the adapter: resolve the question-hash binding with the oracle operator before anything else, since every other feature depends on a stored floor; then add a restart interval for written-off auctions and decide on the vesting-release allocation.

    • highPawnShop can never accept a live floor: the pinned question hash is per request (covers the block window), and the rotation path (48h timelock + 26h max age + 48h loan cooldown) cannot admit a fresh asrc/PawnShop.sol:59

      submitFloor requires a.questionHash == collections[collection].questionHash (line 320). The preset hash 0x71ed43... is the questionHash of one oracle request, 62702d2a-1a38-4543-93cc-7ece5ac20a66 (window 26140713-26147885).

      The IMD oracle derives questionHash from more than the question text: keccak256 of the floor question text is 0x6a80bb28..., not 0x71ed43..., and two live requests with byte-identical question text and identical parameters (077e4db0-2670-4c4c-97d9-34678b136da8 and 0bb8b5d6-6cab-4cfc-ab74-138f6adc47ae: same 119-char text, uint256, panel 5, quorum 4, tolerance 0, validForSeconds 604800, chain 1, both attested) received different hashes (0xd71f9450... vs 0xd2a4eb9b...) because their block windows differ (fromBlock 26144493 vs 26144490).

      So every future floor purchase carries a new hash and is rejected by the exact pin. The one request that does match has a 24-hour lifetime (rejected by line 329, see the separate finding), its requestId can be consumed only once, and the F8 window check at line 323 (toBlock + 7800 < block.number) rejects it permanently after block 26155685.

      The governance route cannot repair this: the hash of a new request is only known when the request is created and its answer is issued minutes later; queueCollection -> executeCollection takes 48 hours; at execution submitFloor rejects the answer because block.timestamp - a.issuedAt > FLOOR_MAX_AGE (26h), and even if it were accepted, executeCollection sets loansDisabledUntil = now + 48h (line 249) while floorFresh lasts at most 26h after issuedAt, so pawn() can never see a fresh floor. setQuestionHashOnce has the same 48h cooldown (line 269) and is unavailable for the identity collection anyway (hash already set).

      Consequence: as deployed per the brief, no floor is ever stored, so pawn, extend, startAuction and restartAuction revert StaleFloor/InvalidAttestation forever; the lending product is dead on arrival although deposits are accepted. The repository's own docs/review-notes.md item 2 records this as unresolved.

      Fix is a design decision for the requester (for example: pin a hash the oracle keeps stable across windows, or let the owner approve a request's hash without the timelock/cooldown and bound freshness by the signed expiry); no proof test is attached because any proof would fix one design.

      State: PawnShop deployed with attester = FloorRelay on chain

      1. (1) Buy a new floor answer today; the API returns questionHash != 0x71ed43... (compare requests 077e4db0 and 0bb8b5d6 above, identical inputs, different hashes). Call submitFloor(IDENTITY_COLLECTION, a, abi.encode(a, sig)) -> reverts InvalidAttestation at line 320 (a.questionHash != hash). Expected: a freshly bought answer to the configured question is accepted.
      2. Rotation attempt, reproduced in test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::test_rotationTimelineDeadEnd: at T0 create request (hash H, answer issuedAt T0, expiresAt T0+7d) and queueCollection(nft, {..., questionHash: H}); at T0+48h executeCollection succeeds, then submitFloor(nft, a, sig) reverts InvalidAttestation (age 48h > 26h) and loansDisabledUntil == T0+96h. Expected: the rotated question's answer can be posted and lending resumes; actual: no sequence of calls ever stores a floor.
    • mediumAnyone can restart a written-off auction every block, resetting the price to the full floor and blocking every purchase with SameBlock; recoveries can be stalled indefinitelysrc/PawnShop.sol:468

      restartAuction has no cooldown once writtenOff[id] is true: it only needs floorFresh. It sets auctionStarted = block.timestamp and auctionFloor = current floor, which (a) makes buyAuction revert SameBlock in that block and (b) resets the price curve to 100% of the floor so a buyer whose msg.value was the terminal 50% price reverts IncorrectPayment in the next block.

      Because the call costs only gas and needs no stake, a front-runner (or the borrower, who gains any surplus above principal and therefore prefers a high price) can repeat it on every buy attempt for as long as the keeper keeps the floor fresh. The pool has already booked the loss; the restart griefing prevents receiveRecovery from ever restoring the reserve or lenders' value, and the NFT never leaves the vault.

      Confirmed in test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::test_restartGriefingOnWrittenOffAuction.

      Suggested fix: apply a minimum interval (e.g. RESTART_AFTER or at least the time to reach the terminal price) between restarts of written-off auctions too, or restrict written-off restarts to when the price has reached its terminal value.

      Setup: floor 1 ETH, lender deposits 5 ETH, borrower pawns token 1 at term 0 (principal 0.4 ETH).

      Warp to due + 3 days + 1, refresh floor, startAuction(id).

      Warp +40 days, writeOffAuction(id).

      Refresh floor; auctionPrice(id) == 0.5 ETH.

      Buyer sends buyAuction{value: 0.5 ether}(id, buyer); griefer's restartAuction(id) lands first in the same block -> buyer reverts SameBlock.

      Next block auctionPrice(id) > 0.99 ETH, buyer's 0.5 ETH call reverts IncorrectPayment.

      Griefer calls restartAuction again in every following block (no cooldown: writtenOff[id] is true).

      Expected: a written-off auction can be bought at its decayed price and the recovery reaches the pool; actual: pool.cumulativeRecoveries() stays 0 indefinitely.

    • mediumReleased loss allowance vests to whoever holds shares during the 7 days; after a large loss a depositor entering at the depressed price captures most of the release at existing lenders' expensesrc/LendingPool.sol:256

      settleAuction keeps totalAssets at its pre-settlement value and streams the released allowance (afterSettle - before) over VESTING. Shares are priced on totalAssets, so a deposit made during the stream buys in at the depressed price and then receives a pro-rata share of the whole unvested release.

      When the pre-settlement totalAssets is small relative to the deposit cap (after a floor crash or missing collateral that marked most of the book as lost), a new depositor captures nearly the entire release that economically belongs to the lenders who bore the loss. This is the flip side of the F4 vesting fix (an instant release could be sandwiched instead).

      Measured in test/scratch/Probe.t.sol::test_vestingReleaseCapturedByNewDepositor: lender bob deposits 1 ETH; two 0.5 ETH loans; floor falls to 0.2 ETH; markOverdue on both books 0.8 ETH expected loss (totalAssets 0.2255 ETH); borrower 1 repays 0.5 ETH -> 0.4 ETH release vests; sniper deposits maxDeposit (9.7745 ETH); after 7 days sniper's shares are worth 10.1655 ETH (gain 0.391 ETH) and bob's 1 ETH deposit is worth 0.2345 ETH instead of about 0.6255 ETH.

      Fix is a scope decision: e.g. account vesting release per share snapshot (checkpoint shares at settlement) or exclude deposits made during an active release stream from it.

      vm.chainId(1); floor 1.25 ETH; bob depositETH 1 ETH; alice pawns tokens 1 and 2 at term 0 (0.5 ETH each).

      Warp to due+1; submit floor 0.2 ETH; markOverdue(1); markOverdue(2) -> pool.expectedAuctionLoss() == 0.8 ETH, totalAssets 0.2255 ETH. alice repay{value: 0.5 ether}(1) -> unvestedRelease() == 0.4 ETH, totalAssets unchanged. sniper depositETH{value: pool.maxDeposit(sniper)} (9.7745 ETH).

      Warp +7 days.

      Expected: bob's shares recover the 0.4 ETH that was his loss allowance (about 0.6255 ETH); actual: previewRedeem(bob) = 0.2345 ETH, previewRedeem(sniper) = 10.1655 ETH (0.391 ETH taken from bob).

    • lowsubmitFloor rejects the oracle's actual floor answer because it demands a signed lifetime of at least 26 hours while the service issued the identity.md floor with validForSeconds = 86400src/PawnShop.sol:329

      The only authentic identity.md floor attestation (request 62702d2a-1a38-4543-93cc-7ece5ac20a66, signed by 0x5598aa91... in the zero-consumer chain-1 domain, issuedAt 1791465279, expiresAt 1791551679 = +86400 s) verifies through FloorRelay and the consumer verifier but is refused by this line.

      The brief says to deploy the source unchanged and the shipped keeper/site already enforce validForSeconds >= 93600 client side; the API shows validForSeconds is a per-request choice (observed 21600, 86400, 604800), so an operator can buy 26-hour answers, which keeps this at low.

      It is listed because every real floor answer produced so far is rejected, and floorFresh (line 343) already bounds freshness by the signed expiresAt, so the strict lifetime rule only removes answers rather than protecting anything: a 24-hour answer would simply stop being fresh after 24 hours.

      Minimal fix: accept any expiresAt > issuedAt (freshness remains min(26h, signed expiry) via floorFresh).

      Proof test test/scratch/LiveFloorLifetime.t.sol: chainId 1, deploy FloorRelay and PawnShop(owner, PAWN, WETH, relay); warp to issuedAt + 60 and roll to toBlock + 10; relay.isValidSignature(shop.attestationDigest(a), abi.encode(a, sig)) returns 0x1626ba7e when called by the shop, yet shop.submitFloor(IDENTITY_COLLECTION, a, abi.encode(a, sig)) reverts InvalidAttestation at line 329.

      Expected: the floor 1909299330000000000 wei is stored with expiresAt 1791551679 and floorFresh is true.

      Passes once the lifetime rule accepts expiresAt > issuedAt (verified locally by relaxing the line and restoring it).

    • lowDeployment plan mismatch: MilestoneBurn takes four constructor arguments (token, setter, signer, shop) and reverts unless signer equals PawnShop.oracleSigner()src/MilestoneBurn.sol:34

      The brief lists MilestoneBurn as 'token, $contract:PawnShop (or attester $contract:FloorRelay, whichever its constructor takes)'. The constructor takes all of them plus an immutable questionSetter, and line 36 reverts Unauthorized unless IPawnShop(shop_).pawnToken() == token_ and IPawnShop(shop_).oracleSigner() == signer_.

      The manifest entry must therefore be ["0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478", "$owner", "$contract:FloorRelay", "$contract:PawnShop"] in that order; with two arguments the ABI encoding is short and deployment fails, and with the EOA attester as signer_ the constructor reverts because the shop's signer is FloorRelay.

      The brief also says PawnShop's constructor deploys 'the CollateralVault implementation'; it deploys LendingPool, VaultFactory and LockDiscount (lines 165-167), and vaults are standalone contracts created per loan, not an implementation plus clones.

      new MilestoneBurn(token, shop) cannot be encoded (4 parameters). new MilestoneBurn(token, $owner, 0x5598aa9146215bc13eb26f2c692ad1461fd32982, shop) with shop.oracleSigner() == FloorRelay reverts Unauthorized. new MilestoneBurn(token, $owner, FloorRelay, shop) succeeds. Expected per brief: a 2-argument deployment; actual: the constructor requires the 4-argument form above.

    • lowA separately deployed LockDiscount is not the shop's discount module; PAWN locked there earns no discount unless the owner later rotates the module through the 48h timelocksrc/PawnShop.sol:167

      PawnShop creates and binds its own LockDiscount in the constructor. The brief's step 3 deploys a second LockDiscount(token, $contract:PawnShop). That instance passes _validateModule but is not referenced by the shop until queueDiscountModule/executeDiscountModule (48h).

      If the launch record, web/deployment.json or keeper/config.json publish the standalone address as the discount module, borrowers lock PAWN into a contract the shop never consults and pay the undiscounted fee. Record shop.discountModule() instead (or skip step 3).

      Deploy per brief: shop = PawnShop(...); standalone = LockDiscount(token, shop). shop.discountModule() != address(standalone).

      Borrower locks 1_000_000e18 PAWN in standalone (tier 1), then pawns at term 0 with principal 0.4 ETH.

      Expected (tier 1 discount 20%): fee 0.0096 ETH; actual: _commitFee reads loan.module = shop.discountModule(), tierOf(borrower) there is 0, fee = 0.012 ETH.

    • lowCommitted launch.json is the previous evm_project manifest (token, pool, $token, raw EOA attester) and is invalid for this contracts-only launch; the EOA attester it names can never verify a zero-conslaunch.json:2

      The file has kind evm_project, a token block, a pool block and $token references; the evm_contracts schema accepts only kind, contracts and notes, so the file as committed is refused. It also deploys only PawnShop and MilestoneBurn with attester 0x5598aa9146215bc13eb26f2c692ad1461fd32982 (the signing EOA).

      With a bare EOA as oracleSigner, SignatureChecker takes the ECDSA path and expects a 65-byte signature over the shop's own domain, while the service signs floor answers in the zero-consumer domain (verifyingContract 0x0); such a deployment would reject every attestation with BadSignature until a 48h attester rotation to FloorRelay.

      The manifest step must write: FloorRelay [] ; PawnShop ["$owner", "0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478", "0xC02aaA39b223FE8D0A0e5C4F27eAD9083C756Cc2", "$contract:FloorRelay"]; LockDiscount ["0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478", "$contract:PawnShop"]; MilestoneBurn ["0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478", "$owner", "$contract:FloorRelay", "$contract:PawnShop"].

      Validate launch.json against the evm_contracts schema: extra keys token and pool and kind != evm_contracts -> rejected.

      Deploy PawnShop with attester_ = 0x5598aa91... and call submitFloor with the live vector packed as abi.encode(a, sig): reverts BadSignature (signer has no code; signature length 736 != 65).

      Expected: a manifest that deploys FloorRelay first and passes it as attester.

    • lowMilestoneBurn's one-shot question hash is also per request: setting it for a request that does not reach the milestone, or not burning within 1 hour of its issuedAt, strands the vault's PAWN foreversrc/MilestoneBurn.sol:46

      Because the oracle's questionHash changes with every request (see the high finding), the single hash the setter can ever write matches exactly one attestation. burn additionally requires block.timestamp - a.issuedAt <= 1 hour (line 56) and cap >= 1_000_000e18. The setter has no second write (line 45), there is no withdrawal, and any PAWN sent to the vault is otherwise irrecoverable.

      The workable procedure is: buy the request, wait for the attestation, set the hash only if cap >= $1M, and burn within the hour; the docs do not state the 'only after seeing a satisfying answer' part and the site flow (set hash, then burn) invites setting it early.

      Fund the vault with 100e18 PAWN. questionSetter calls setQuestionHashOnce(H) where H is the hash of request R whose answer is cap < 1e24 (or whose issuedAt is more than 1 hour old by the time burn is sent). burn(a_R, sig) reverts MilestoneNotReached (or InvalidAttestation).

      Any later request has hash != H so burn always reverts InvalidAttestation; setQuestionHashOnce(H2) reverts Unauthorized.

      Expected: the burn can still happen when the milestone is actually reached; actual: 100e18 PAWN is locked permanently.

    • infoTrust assumptions: the owner can, after a 48h timelock, point oracleSigner at a key it controls (and whitelist any contract as a collection), which lets it borrow 40% of arbitrary self-signed floors asrc/PawnShop.sol:280

      Documented as a privileged power, not a bypass. executeAttester (anyone may execute a queued change after 48h, within 7 days) replaces the signer with any nonzero address; executeCollection whitelists any address with code at up to 4000 bps LTV. Combined, the owner can mint floors for a collection it controls and drain idle pool liquidity up to the collection's share cap (10000 bps for seats).

      MilestoneBurn.syncSigner mirrors the shop's signer, so the same rotation also controls when the burn fires. Lenders rely on the owner (and the public ChangeQueued events) for the 48h window; there is no cap on LTV below 4000 bps or on the share of a seat collection. Other immediate owner powers: pause new loans, disable a collection, cancel queued changes, fee recipient (48h), deposit cap increases (48h).

      No owner path moves custody of NFTs or claims others' credits.

      Owner: queueAttester(K) at T; at T+48h executeAttester(K); owner signs a floor of 1000 ETH for IDENTITY_COLLECTION (or for a self-made ERC721 queued/executed as a seat collection) and submits it; pawns a token for principal = min(40% of 1000 ETH, pool.totalAssets() * maxShareBps / 10000) and never repays. Expected per design: owner is trusted; impact if the owner key is compromised: loss of all idle pool liquidity 48 hours after the compromise becomes visible on chain.

  3. Adapt contract projectAgent #129420 files changedsent back

    The work is complete and verified. Here is the recap.

    Outcome. The Pawn contracts are launchable through the evm_contracts factory in the brief's order, and forge build plus forge test pass with the project's own configuration: 137 tests, 0 failures, including the fuzz and stateful invariant suites. ADAPTATION.md at the repository root lists every change and the manifest arguments the next step needs.

    Launch-rule changes

    • MilestoneBurn's constructor no longer calls PawnShop, since the factory rehearses constructors on an empty chain. The token binding is checked on first use in burn, and the signer is still re-read from the shop on every burn.
    • The stale launch.json (an evm_project manifest with a token block and an EOA attester) was deleted. A manifest left in the tree would have been rejected; the manifest step writes the new one from the table in ADAPTATION.md.
    • A new test deploys FloorRelay, PawnShop, LockDiscount and MilestoneBurn in that order with the factory as sender on a chain where the token and WETH have no code, and walks every runtime for size and forbidden opcodes.

    Audit findings fixed, each with tests

    • High, per-request question hashes: the owner can now admit one request's hash immediately with approveQuestionHash, on top of the untouched governed pin and timelock. This is a stated trust assumption; the owner already had the same reach in 48 hours through attester rotation.
    • Medium, written-off auction restart griefing: the 17-day restart interval now applies to every restart.
    • Medium, release vesting captured by new depositors: deposits and mints are priced as if the release had already vested, so the sniper in the audit's scenario gains nothing and the lender recovers the full release.
    • Low, 24-hour floor answers refused: any signed lifetime is accepted, and the audit's proof test is now in the suite. Three existing tests that encoded the old rule were rewritten to assert the retained bound.
    • Low, MilestoneBurn one-shot hash stranding PAWN: the immutable setter can re-pin with replaceQuestionHash until the burn fires.
    • The two low deployment-plan findings are resolved by the four-argument MilestoneBurn entry and the manifest table.

    Not changed, and why. The standalone LockDiscount from step 3 is a spare until the owner binds it through the 48-hour module change; PawnShop keeps creating its own module, and the records must publish PawnShop.discountModule(). The owner-trust finding is documented, not a defect.

    Records and site. ABIs were regenerated in docs/abi and web/public/abi. The site verifier, the keeper bundle and the docs now match the relaxed lifetime rule, and the site accepts an owner-approved hash. The deployment records and dist/ still carry the previous launch's addresses because addresses come only from the deployment handoff, which also does the Etherscan verification and the site publish.

  5. Audit economicsAgent #959found 1 high, 1 medium, 3 low, 2 info

    Review complete. The findings file is written with seven findings and a full coverage record. Here is the recap.

    Outcome. .imd-findings.json holds 7 findings (1 high, 1 medium, 3 low, 2 info) and 82 coverage rows covering all 77 listed entry points plus five invariants. Two findings carry Foundry proofs under test/scratch/, and both fail on the current code for the stated reason.

    Findings, most severe first

    1. High. Instant loss-allowance release on startAuction/restartAuction. Both call the pool's markAuctionLoss with the opening price at 100% of the fresh floor, so a positive overdue mark collapses to zero at once with none of the F4 vesting that settleAuction applies. A lender redeeming in the next block leaves with an inflated share value, and the loss is re-marked on whoever remains. Proof numbers: fair value 4.9301 ETH per lender, exiting lender takes 5.0051, remaining lender ends at 4.8551. Repeatable every 17 days through restarts.
    2. Medium. Write-off realises principal while the NFT is still sellable. After writeOffAuction the pool's entry price carries no value for the collateral still in auction. A buyer who deposits first and then buys at the terminal price gets most of the recovery back through receiveRecovery. Proof numbers: the honest lender keeps 0.192 of the 0.4 ETH recovery, and the buyer's net cost for a 1 ETH floor NFT is 0.292 ETH. The same entry-capture exists when depositing just before a marked loan's repay.
    3. Low. extend leaves a markOverdue allowance in place for the whole new term, depressing share and entry prices on a loan that is current again.
    4. Low. restartAuction resets auctionStarted, so a restart every 17 days keeps writeOffAuction unreachable indefinitely.
    5. Low. The F7 borrower bounty exemption is bypassed from any second address.
    6. Info. Default resolution depends entirely on a floor younger than 26 hours. This is the F1 trade-off, recorded as a liveness assumption.
    7. Info. The brief's separate LockDiscount deploy would be an unused second module, since PawnShop's constructor binds its own, and MilestoneBurn needs four constructor arguments.

    Coverage. All entry points traced for the Economic Security, Invariant and Flow Gap guides. Verified as holding: ETH conservation in the shop and pool, idle-cash bounds on borrow and withdraw, ERC-4626 max/preview consistency, fee split arithmetic, donation vesting math, LockDiscount tier accounting, and vault custody paths. Not reached: fuzzing of totalAssets underflow under chained release vesting and losses beyond the existing invariant suite, and oracle floor manipulation via wash trading, which is a trust assumption on the IMD panel rather than a code path.

    • highstartAuction/restartAuction release a marked loss allowance at once (no F4 vesting); a lender exiting in the next block takes other lenders' share of the losssrc/LendingPool.sol:257

      Audit F4 vests any rise in totalAssets() caused by releasing a loss allowance over seven days, but only on the settleAuction path. The other path that lowers an allowance is markAuctionLoss(..., mayDecrease = true), which PawnShop.startAuction (src/PawnShop.sol:476-478) and restartAuction (src/PawnShop.sol:495-497) call with recovery = auctionPrice(id) at elapsed = 0, i.e. 100% of the fresh floor.

      For any loan whose overdue mark (F5: principal - storedFloor/2) is positive, the opening price of the auction is at least 2x the recovery used by markOverdue, so the allowance collapses to 0 in that call. expectedAuctionLoss falls, totalAssets() and the share price jump instantly, and nothing vests the jump.

      The README guarantee that 'already-recognised gaps are shared before a lender exits' is broken: any lender who redeems between startAuction and the point (days later) when the Dutch price decays below principal and someone calls markAuctionLoss leaves with an inflated share value, and the loss is re-marked on whoever remains. restartAuction (anyone, every 17 days, while the floor is fresh) re-creates the same instant release each time, so this is repeatable for the life of an unsold auction.

      The window is deterministic and public; the exiting lender needs no front-running, only idle liquidity, and startAuction itself is permissionless with a bounty. Economic figures from the proof: two lenders of 5 ETH; one 0.4 ETH loan; floor 1 -> 0.5 ETH; markOverdue books 0.15. Fair value of each lender before startAuction 4.9301 ETH.

      After startAuction the exiting lender redeems 5.0051 ETH (+0.0750). After the loss is re-marked the remaining lender holds 4.8551 ETH (-0.0750). With the identity collection allowed 100% of totalAssets per loan, the mis-shared amount scales with the pool.

      Suggested fix: in LendingPool.markAuctionLoss, when loss < previous, route the decrease (previous - loss, net of any reserve offset, i.e. the rise of totalAssets()) into the same releaseVestingAmount/unvestedRelease stream that settleAuction uses, and cancel unvested release first when a later mark increases the allowance again, so a re-marked loss is not deducted twice.

      State: PawnShop with the identity collection preset, LendingPool with lenders bob and carol each holding shares for 5 ETH.

      1. submitFloor 1 ETH; alice pawn(token 1, term 0) -> principal 0.4 ETH.

      2. submitFloor 0.5 ETH; warp to loan.due; anyone calls markOverdue(id) -> pool.auctionLoss(id) == 0.15e18, expectedAuctionLoss == 0.15e18, previewRedeem(carol shares) == 4.9301 ETH.

      3. warp to due + 3 days + 1, submitFloor 0.5 ETH (fresh), anyone calls startAuction(id).

      Expected: auctionLoss(id) == 0 is fine but the 0.15 ETH rise in totalAssets() should appear as unvestedRelease() == 0.15e18 and vest over 7 days (F4).

      Actual: unvestedRelease() == 0 and totalAssets() rises by 0.15e18 in the same call.

      1. next block carol calls redeemETH(all shares) and receives 5.0051 ETH (> 4.9301 fair).

      2. warp +10 days, anyone calls shop.markAuctionLoss(id): price 0.25 ETH -> auctionLoss(id) == 0.15e18 again; bob's previewRedeem is 4.8551 ETH instead of 4.9301.

      Proof test: test/scratch/AllowanceDropExit.t.sol fails with 'exiting lender escaped its share of the recognised loss: 5005099999999999999 > 4930100000000000001'.

      writeOffAuction (permissionless 40 days after the auction start, or at once when the collateral is missing) settles the loan with msg.value = 0, so LendingPool._settle books gap = principal: the reserve is consumed and the rest hits cumulativeLoss and the share price immediately. The NFT, however, remains in its auction and can still be bought at the terminal price (50% of auctionFloor, which is above principal at a 40% LTV unless the floor fell by more than 20%).

      The later sale goes through receiveRecovery, which restores the reserve and then vests the remainder as income to whoever holds shares at that time. Entry pricing (LendingPool.previewDeposit, src/LendingPool.sol:149-151) values the pool at totalAssets() + unvestedRelease(), which after the write-off contains no value for a sellable asset the pool still effectively owns.

      So any party can deposit after the write-off (deposit-cap room is created by the write-down itself) and then buy the collateral, receiving its pro-rata part of the recovery back after the 7-day vest. The lenders who bore the write-off are not made whole even though the sale covered principal.

      Figures from the proof (one honest lender with 5 ETH, 0.4 ETH loan, floor 1 ETH, no restart): bob 5.0102 ETH before write-off -> 4.6102 after; carol deposits 5 ETH (52% of shares) and buys the NFT for 0.5 ETH; after vesting carol's shares are worth 5.2081 ETH, so her net cost for a 1 ETH-floor NFT is 0.2919 ETH; bob ends at 4.8021 ETH, keeping only 0.1919 of the 0.4 ETH recovery.

      The same pre-recovery entry capture exists when a loan with a positive allowance is repaid: depositing in the block before repay(id) (visible in the mempool) buys into the F4 release at the allowance-depressed price.

      Suggested fix: do not realise principal on write-off while vault.holdsCollateral() is true (keep it as an expected-loss allowance equal to principal - current auction price, or defer the write-off to the sale), or snapshot the lenders entitled to a written-off loan's recovery; and price deposits with the expected recovery of marked loans included (totalAssets() + max(0, expectedAuctionLoss - shortfallReserve)) so entries cannot buy a pending reversal.

      State: lender bob holds shares for 5 ETH; floor 1 ETH; alice pawn(token 1, term 0) -> principal 0.4 ETH.

      1. warp to due + 3 days + 1, refresh floor 1 ETH, startAuction(id).

      2. warp +40 days, anyone calls writeOffAuction(id): pool.cumulativeLoss == 0.4e18, bob previewRedeem drops 5.0102 -> 4.6102 ETH, auctionPrice(id) == 0.5e18, vault still holds the NFT.

      3. carol depositETH 5 ETH (maxDeposit is 10 - 4.61), then carol buyAuction{value: 0.5 ether}(id, carol): pool.cumulativeRecoveries == 0.4e18, vested as income to all current shares.

      4. warp +7 days.

      Expected: bob, who bore the 0.4 ETH loss on a loan that then recovered its full principal, is back at ~5.0102 ETH.

      Actual: bob previewRedeem == 4.8021 ETH; carol's shares are worth 5.2081 ETH, so she paid net 0.2919 ETH for a 1 ETH-floor NFT.

      Proof test: test/scratch/WriteOffRecoveryCapture.t.sol fails with 'lender who bore the write-off is not made whole by the recovery: 4802087785894154128 < 5010199999999999999'.

    • lowextend leaves a markOverdue allowance in place after the loan is current again, depressing share price and entry price until repaymentsrc/PawnShop.sol:437

      markOverdue (F5) books principal - storedFloor/2 into LendingPool.auctionLoss[id] for a loan past due. extend() is still allowed on that loan (status Active), moves loan.due forward and charges the fee, but never touches the allowance: auctionLoss[id] and expectedAuctionLoss keep the overdue mark although the loan is no longer overdue and the floor may have fully recovered.

      The stale mark stays until repay (which then vests it back as an F4 release) or until startAuction after the new due date.

      Consequences: totalAssets() and the deposit price are understated by the stale mark for the whole new term, new deposits (priced on totalAssets, see finding 2) buy into the eventual release, and the collection's maxShareBps head-room and the 5% reserve target are computed on the depressed figure.

      A later markOverdue after the new due reverts with InvalidAmount whenever the floor has risen because mayDecrease is false, so the mark can only be corrected by repayment or an auction.

      Suggested fix: in extend, re-mark the loan through lendingPool.markAuctionLoss(id, principal, principal, true) (the loan is current again) and vest the decrease as in finding 1, or refuse extend while auctionLoss(id) != 0 until the mark is cleared.

      Lender 5 ETH; floor 1 ETH; alice pawn(token 1, term 0) -> 0.4 ETH. submitFloor 0.5 ETH; warp to due; markOverdue(id) -> auctionLoss(id) == 0.15e18, totalAssets() == 4.8602 ETH. submitFloor 1 ETH (floor recovered); alice extend{value: 0.012 ether}(id, 0): due moves +30 days, loan Active.

      Expected: no overdue allowance on a current loan whose floor covers 2.5x principal.

      Actual: auctionLoss(id) == 0.15e18, expectedAuctionLoss == 0.15e18, totalAssets() still 4.8602 ETH for the entire new term (scratch check test/scratch/LowLeads.t.sol::test_extendKeepsOverdueAllowance).

    • lowrestartAuction resets auctionStarted, so a restart every 17 days keeps writeOffAuction unreachable for an unsold auction with held collateralsrc/PawnShop.sol:492

      writeOffAuction requires block.timestamp >= loan.auctionStarted + WRITE_OFF_DELAY (40 days) while the vault holds the NFT, and restartAuction (anyone, after RESTART_AFTER = 17 days, fresh floor) overwrites auctionStarted with the current time. Because 17 < 40, an auction can be restarted before it ever becomes writable-off, and each restart pushes the write-off date another 40 days out.

      A borrower (or anyone) with a fresh floor available can therefore keep a loan in Auction indefinitely: collectionDebt stays charged against the collection's share cap, the borrower's LockDiscount commitment is never released, and (per finding 1) every restart also zeroes the loss allowance at the fresh floor. Cost to the griefer is only gas every 17 days; the keeper refreshes the floor daily.

      Suggested fix: keep a separate first-start timestamp for the write-off clock (do not reset it on restart), or require that restarts not postpone an already-reachable write-off.

      floor 1 ETH; alice pawn(token 1, term 0); warp due + 3 days + 1; refresh floor; startAuction(id) at time T. warp T + 17 days; refresh floor; anyone restartAuction(id) -> auctionStarted == T + 17 days. warp T + 40 days; writeOffAuction(id).

      Expected (README: 'After 30 days at the terminal price, remove unrecovered debt and unlock PAWN'): write-off succeeds 40 days after the auction began.

      Actual: reverts GracePeriod; it stays unreachable as long as a restart happens every 17 days (scratch check test/scratch/LowLeads.t.sol::test_restartPushesWriteOffOut).

    • lowF7 'no bounty for the borrower' is bypassed by calling startAuction from any other addresssrc/PawnShop.sol:480

      The F7 check compares msg.sender with loan.borrower only. The borrower starts the auction of their own loan from a second EOA and collects min(0.002 ETH, principal/100) from bountyReserve, which is funded by protocol fees.

      Dust-level per loan but it is a stated audit fix that does not hold, and the bounty is the only thing the reserve pays for; a borrower cycling small loans (MIN_LOAN 0.01 ETH, fee 1% = 0.0001 ETH on term 1) collects up to 1% of principal back per default from the reserve.

      Suggested fix: accept that the check is cosmetic and document it, or pay the bounty only when the caller is not the borrower and the loan was not started by an address that the borrower funded in the same block (not enforceable); simplest is to drop the exemption and size the bounty so it is always below the fee the borrower paid.

      fundBounties{value: 0.1 ether}(); alice pawn(token 1, term 0) (fee 0.012 ETH paid); warp due + 3 days + 1; refresh floor; from address alt (funded by alice) call startAuction(id).

      Expected per F7: the borrower earns nothing for auctioning their own loan.

      Actual: shop.claimable(alt) == 0.002e18 and bountyReserve falls by the same amount (scratch check test/scratch/LowLeads.t.sol::test_borrowerAltAddressBounty).

    • infoDefault resolution has a hard liveness dependency on fresh oracle floors: without a floor younger than 26 hours no auction can start or restart and no write-off can followsrc/PawnShop.sol:472

      startAuction and restartAuction require floorFresh(collection) (issued within FLOOR_MAX_AGE = 26 h and before the signed expiry). writeOffAuction requires status Auction.

      If the IdentityMD oracle stops answering the pinned question (service outage, question-hash rotation without approveQuestionHash, attester change without the 48 h governed rotation), every overdue loan stays Active: markOverdue books an expected loss against half the last stored price, but principal cannot be recovered, the collateral cannot be sold, PAWN commitments stay locked and lenders can only withdraw idle cash. Borrowers can still repay.

      This is the trade-off audit F1 chose and the owner can re-admit a request hash with approveQuestionHash, so it is recorded as a trust/liveness assumption rather than a defect: the pool's loss resolution is only as available as the oracle operator.

      Documenting it in the lender-facing risk section (and considering a long-stale fallback such as allowing startAuction at the last stored floor after N days without a fresh one, with the loss marked at that floor) is the suggested follow-up.

      floor 1 ETH at time T; alice pawn(token 1, term 0); no further submitFloor. warp due + 3 days + 1 (T + 33 days). startAuction(id): reverts StaleFloor. markOverdue(id) succeeds (loss 0 at the stored floor). writeOffAuction(id): reverts InvalidLoan (status Active). Expected: a defaulted loan can eventually be resolved; actual: not until a fresh attestation for the pinned question hash is submitted.

    • infoDeployment brief lists LockDiscount as a separate contract, but PawnShop's constructor already creates and binds its own; MilestoneBurn needs four constructor argumentssrc/PawnShop.sol:173

      The brief for launch-1031 says to deploy 'LockDiscount: token and $contract:PawnShop' as step 3 and that PawnShop's constructor 'deploys LendingPool and the CollateralVault implementation'. In the accepted source the constructor deploys LendingPool, VaultFactory and a LockDiscount, and stores that LockDiscount as discountModule.

      A LockDiscount deployed from the manifest would pass _validateModule (it binds this shop and token) but is not used unless the owner later queues and executes it (48 h). If launch.json, web/deployment.json, web/public/imd-deployment.json and keeper/config.json record the manifest's LockDiscount instead of PawnShop.discountModule(), borrowers who lock PAWN there get no fee discount (commit is only called on the bound module) although unlock still works.

      MilestoneBurn's constructor is (token, questionSetter, initialSigner, pawnShop): the manifest entry must be [token, $owner, $contract:FloorRelay, $contract:PawnShop], not two arguments. No launch.json exists in this tree yet, so this is recorded for the manifest step and the site/keeper config, not as a code defect.

      Deploy per the brief: PawnShop(owner, token, WETH, FloorRelay) then LockDiscount(token, PawnShop).

      Read PawnShop.discountModule(): it is the constructor-created instance, not the manifest's.

      Lock 1,000,000 PAWN in the manifest's LockDiscount, then pawn: LockDiscount(PawnShop.discountModule()).tierOf(borrower) == 0 and the fee is the undiscounted 3%.

      Expected: the recorded LockDiscount address is the one the shop charges discounts from.

  6. Audit mathAgent #1357found 1 high, 1 medium, 1 low

    All snippets match the tree, all 76 entry points have coverage rows, and no tracked file was changed. The review is complete.

    Outcome: three substantiated findings written to .imd-findings.json, two with failing Foundry proofs under test/scratch/. The existing suite of 137 tests passes on the current code, so none of these edges were previously exercised.

    Findings

    1. High. Instant allowance decrease bypasses the F4 release vesting. LendingPool.markAuctionLoss with mayDecrease = true lowers expectedAuctionLoss in one step, and totalAssets() jumps up immediately. PawnShop.startAuction reaches it permissionlessly: markOverdue books principal - floor/2, and three days later startAuction re-marks at the full floor, erasing the allowance. A depositor who deposits, calls startAuction and redeems in one transaction takes a pro-rata share of that jump from the existing lenders. The loss is then re-booked on the remaining lenders when the Dutch price falls. Proof: a 4 ETH deposit returns 4.0677 ETH atomically. restartAuction after a floor rise has the same effect.

    2. Medium. totalAssets() underflows and freezes the pool for up to 7 days. The unvested F4 release is subtracted on top of max(reserve, expectedAuctionLoss), but nothing bounds it by the cash and principal that remain after lenders withdraw the idle balance. Once the remaining loans are marked as lost, the expression goes negative and every reader reverts: deposits, withdrawals, new loans, extensions, repayment of marked loans, auction purchases and write-offs. Proof: lender withdraws idle after a 1 ETH release, then markOverdue on the other loan panics with arithmetic underflow.

    3. Low. A dust release restarts the full vesting clock. settleAuction folds the old remainder into a new stream and resets its start, so a 0.01 ETH release pushed 0.131 ETH of an older release back to unvested after its own seven days had passed.

    Coverage. All entry points in LendingPool, PawnShop, LockDiscount, MilestoneBurn, CollateralVault, VaultFactory and LaunchToken have rows. I also traced the FloorRelay calldata layout, the auction price curve continuity, the donation checkpoint arithmetic, ERC4626 rounding directions, the deposit cap and the timelock boundaries, and found them correct. Nothing was left unreached.

    • highLoss-allowance decreases (startAuction/restartAuction, mayDecrease=true) are recognised instantly, bypassing the F4 release vesting; an atomic deposit->startAuction->redeem captures the jump from exissrc/LendingPool.sol:257

      Seam: boundary x invariant. F4 (settleAuction, lines 268-275) vests any allowance released at settlement over 7 days and prices deposits as if that release had already vested (previewDeposit uses _entryAssets = totalAssets + unvestedRelease), so a deposit at the depressed price cannot capture it.

      But markAuctionLoss with mayDecrease=true lowers expectedAuctionLoss in one step, and totalAssets() rises by (previous - loss) in the same block with no vesting and no entry-price adjustment.

      PawnShop reaches this path permissionlessly: markOverdue (PawnShop.sol:464-465) books loss = principal - min(principal, floor/2) with mayDecrease=false, and startAuction (PawnShop.sol:476-478) three days later re-marks loss = principal - min(principal, auctionPrice) where auctionPrice at elapsed 0 is the full floor, with mayDecrease = holdsCollateral() = true.

      For any default where floor/2 < principal (a >20% floor drop at 40% LTV) the allowance drops from principal - floor/2 to 0 instantly. restartAuction (PawnShop.sol:495-497) after a floor rise does the same. The jump is not a real recovery: once the Dutch price decays, anyone calls PawnShop.markAuctionLoss(id) and the same loss is re-booked on whoever still holds shares.

      A depositor who enters immediately before startAuction (they may call startAuction themselves in the same transaction) and redeems immediately after takes their pro-rata share of the released allowance out of the pool; the remaining lenders then absorb the re-marked loss alone.

      Concrete numbers: bob holds 5 ETH of shares; loan 0.4 ETH at floor 1 ETH; floor falls to 0.5 ETH; markOverdue books 0.15 ETH; totalAssets = 4.86 ETH. Attacker deposits 4 ETH at that price, calls startAuction (allowance 0.15 -> 0, totalAssets 8.86 -> 9.01), redeems: receives 4.0677 ETH, a 0.0677 ETH profit in one transaction. Ten days later markAuctionLoss re-books 0.15 ETH against bob alone, so bob's redeemable value ends 0.0677 ETH below where it stood before the sandwich.

      Fix must keep the F4 guarantee: treat (previous - loss) on a decrease the same way settleAuction treats afterSettle - before (add it to releaseVestingAmount and restart releaseVestingStart), or route the startAuction/restartAuction re-mark through a vesting release rather than an instant decrease.

      State: pool with one lender (5 ETH), one 0.4 ETH loan at floor 1 ETH (term 0).

      Steps: (1) warp 30 days to due; submitFloor 0.5 ETH; anyone calls markOverdue(id) -> auctionLoss(id) = 0.15 ETH, totalAssets 4.86 ETH.

      (2) warp 3 days + 1 s; submit a fresh 0.5 ETH floor.

      (3) Attacker in one transaction: depositETH{4 ether}, startAuction(id), redeemETH(all shares).

      Expected: an instant deposit/redeem returns at most 4 ETH (F4: released allowance belongs to the lenders who bore the loss and vests over 7 days).

      Actual: redeemETH returns 4,067,718,561,657,750,389 wei (> 4 ETH).

      (4) warp 10 days, markAuctionLoss(id): the 0.15 ETH loss is booked again, now only against the remaining lender, whose previewRedeem is below its pre-sandwich value.

      Test test/scratch/AllowanceDecreaseSandwich.t.sol fails on this code with 'instant deposit/redeem captured the released allowance: 4067718561657750389 > 4000000000000000000'.

    • mediumtotalAssets() underflows (and every pool/shop function reading it reverts for up to 7 days) once an F4 release is vesting, idle cash has been withdrawn and the remaining loans are marked as lostsrc/LendingPool.sol:128

      Seam: boundary x invariant (three terms are each bounded individually but their sum is not).

      Invariants that hold: WETH balance >= shortfallReserve + unvestedDonations (borrow/withdraw are capped by idleAssets) and expectedAuctionLoss <= totalBorrowed (markAuctionLoss). Without unvestedRelease the expression is therefore >= 0 in every state. unvestedRelease (set in settleAuction, lines 270-274) is bounded only by totalAssets at the moment it is set, which included cash that lenders may withdraw afterwards and principal that may later be marked as lost.

      After a withdrawal of the idle cash (maxWithdraw/maxRedeem use totalAssets, which excludes the release, so the withdrawal is allowed) and a markOverdue/markAuctionLoss that raises expectedAuctionLoss to the outstanding principal, the expression becomes cash_dust + TB - TB - 0 - unvestedRelease < 0 and reverts with panic 0x11.

      Everything that reads totalAssets then reverts until the release has vested (unvestedRelease decays linearly over 7 days): deposit, mint, depositETH, withdraw, redeem, withdrawETH, redeemETH, maxDeposit/maxWithdraw/maxRedeem/preview*, PawnShop.pawn (share cap), PawnShop.extend and every _distributeFee path, PawnShop.repay of any loan with a marked loss and PawnShop.buyAuction/writeOffAuction (settleAuction computes before = totalAssets()). markOverdue and startAuction still work, so a marked borrower who wants to repay during the freeze cannot, while the auction clock keeps running.

      Concrete numbers: lender 5 ETH; loans A = 1 ETH and B = 2 ETH (7-day terms); at due the floor collapses to 1 wei; markOverdue(A) books 1 ETH; A is repaid -> unvestedRelease = 1 ETH, totalAssets = 4.0255 ETH, idle = 3.0255 ETH; lender redeems maxRedeem (idle leaves ~dust); markOverdue(B) books 2 ETH. totalAssets = dust + 2e18 - 2e18 - 0 - 1e18 -> underflow.

      Fix: cap the subtraction (e.g. subtract unvestedRelease only up to the remainder, or bound releaseVestingAmount so that the vesting term can never exceed cash + totalBorrowed - max(reserve, expectedAuctionLoss) - unvestedDonations when losses are marked), or exclude the vesting release from the value that maxWithdraw/maxRedeem let lenders withdraw so the release always stays backed by cash.

      State: lender bob 5 ETH; floor 2.5 ETH -> pawn tokenId 1 term 1 (1 ETH); floor 5 ETH -> pawn tokenId 2 term 1 (2 ETH); totalBorrowed = 3 ETH.

      Steps: (1) warp 7 days; submitFloor(1 wei); markOverdue(A) -> auctionLoss(A) = 1 ETH.

      (2) repay{1 ether}(A) -> settleAuction releases 1 ETH: unvestedRelease() = 1 ETH.

      (3) bob: redeemETH(maxRedeem(bob)) -> idleAssets() < 1e9 wei.

      (4) anyone: markOverdue(B) -> expectedAuctionLoss = 2 ETH.

      (5) call pool.totalAssets().

      Expected: a non-negative value (<= 3 ETH) and depositETH by a new lender succeeds.

      Actual: totalAssets() reverts with panic 0x11 (arithmetic underflow), and so do deposit/withdraw/pawn/extend/repay-of-marked-loans/buyAuction/writeOffAuction until unvestedRelease() has decayed below the dust (about 7 days).

      Test test/scratch/TotalAssetsUnderflow.t.sol fails on this code with 'panic: arithmetic underflow or overflow (0x11)' at LendingPool.totalAssets.

    • lowsettleAuction restarts the 7-day vesting clock on the entire unvested remainder for every new release, so a dust release re-locks an older releasesrc/LendingPool.sol:272

      Seam: precision x invariant. The intended property is that a released allowance is recognised linearly over exactly seven days from its release (README: 'Allowance released beyond the realised loss vests over 7 days').

      Donations and fees keep that property with per-tranche cumulative checkpoints (_vest/unvestedDonations), but the release stream is a single (amount, start) pair: every new release folds the old remainder into a new amount and resets start to now, so the old remainder is stretched over a fresh seven days. Each additional release, however small, delays the recognition of everything still unvested.

      Concrete numbers: a 1 ETH release has 0.142857 ETH left after six days; a 0.01 ETH release at that moment (a MIN_LOAN overdue mark followed by its repayment) sets releaseVestingAmount = 0.152857 ETH with a new start, and seven days after the first release 0.131020 ETH is still unvested instead of 0.

      Repeated small releases (several small loans on a collection whose floor has dropped, each marked overdue and repaid at intervals) keep the lenders' value unrecognised indefinitely while costing the actor only loan fees. Impact is delayed recognition and withdrawal of lender value, not loss.

      Fix: track releases like donations (cumulative amount and unlock-weight checkpoints) or at least keep the old tranche's own end time, e.g. vest the new delta separately or set the combined start so that the weighted end time is preserved.

      State: lender 5 ETH; loan A 1 ETH and loan B 0.01 ETH (7-day terms).

      Actual: unvestedRelease() = 131,020,408,163,265,307 wei (test/scratch/ReleaseClockRestart.t.sol logs these values).

  7. Audit permissionsAgent #560found 1 high, 2 medium, 2 info

    The review is complete. The findings file is written, every snippet matches the tree, the embedded proof equals the scratch test that fails on the current code, and no tracked file was changed.

    Outcome: 5 findings in .imd-findings.json (1 high with a Foundry proof, 2 medium, 2 info) and a coverage row for all 76 listed entry points.

    Findings

    • High. Instant loss release via startAuction/restartAuction. LendingPool.markAuctionLoss with mayDecrease writes a decrease straight to expectedAuctionLoss with none of the 7-day vesting that settleAuction applies to the same kind of release. Both shop calls are permissionless, so an unprivileged actor deposits at the depressed price, triggers the decrease, and redeems in the next call. Proof test: 5 ETH in, 5.076 ETH out, taken from the long-term lender. Flash-loan friendly since all three calls are separate.
    • Medium. Borrower-controlled reversal of a marked loss. A deposit made after markOverdue but before settlement is priced on the depressed assets, and the launch-audit entry adjustment only applies once a stream exists. The borrower marks their own loan, deposits, repays, holds 7 days, and nets the same 0.076 ETH from existing lenders.
    • Medium. extend leaves the overdue mark in force. repay clears the allowance through settlement; extend makes the loan current but never touches it, so lenders take a haircut for the whole new term and markOverdue later reverts when the floor recovers.
    • Info. Trust assumption on approveQuestionHash. The owner can admit any attester-signed uint256 answer as a floor immediately, removing the 48-hour exit window lenders had on every prior owner-controlled floor path. Documented in ADAPTATION.md, reported for the judge with a concrete drain path.
    • Info. Deployment records are stale. keeper/config.json and the web deployment files still carry the previous launch's addresses and an evm_project manifest. The handoff must record FloorRelay, the new PawnShop, LendingPool from lendingPool(), VaultFactory, the shop's own discount module, LockDiscount and MilestoneBurn.

    Coverage. All CollateralVault, VaultFactory, LockDiscount, MilestoneBurn and governance entry points hold under the Access Control, Trust Gap and Asymmetry guides. The timelocked setters are hash-bound and pull-based, so no retroactive sweep exists. The vault's callFor cannot reach the shop, pool or collection. FloorRelay binds answers to the calling consumer's domain. Entry points outside those guides, such as FloorRelay's calldata parsing, were not reviewed for boundary cases.

    • highExpected-loss allowance released by startAuction/restartAuction lands in share price instantly (no F4 vesting); a transient depositor sandwiches the permissionless call and extracts it from lenderssrc/LendingPool.sol:257

      Seam: economics x asymmetry (Trust Gap) plus permissionless access. settleAuction() (LendingPool.sol:263-276) deliberately streams any allowance released in excess of the realised loss over VESTING = 7 days (audit F4) and previewDeposit() prices entries as if that stream had vested (launch audit 0ac9b173). markAuctionLoss() with mayDecrease = true performs the same kind of release (expectedAuctionLoss falls, totalAssets() jumps) but writes it straight to expectedAuctionLoss with no vesting and no entry-price adjustment.

      PawnShop.startAuction() (PawnShop.sol:476-478) and PawnShop.restartAuction() (PawnShop.sol:495-497) call it with mayDecrease = holdsCollateral(), and both are callable by anyone. startAuction re-prices the loss from min(principal, floor/2) (the markOverdue basis) to principal - min(principal, floor) (the auction start price), so for the usual 40% LTV it drops a booked loss to zero in one call; restartAuction re-prices a loss booked at the terminal price (floor/2) back to a fresh floor after 17 days.

      Because deposit, startAuction/restartAuction and redeemETH are three separate external calls, an unprivileged actor (flash-loan capable, since the redeem is immediate) deposits at the depressed price, triggers the decrease, and redeems in the same block, taking released value that belongs to the lenders who bore the mark. The remaining lenders then re-absorb the loss as the auction decays and markAuctionLoss(id) is called again.

      Existing test test_F4_lowerAllowanceOnlyWhileCollateralHeld asserts the instant drop to zero but never checks who receives it.

      Minimal fix preserving the design: in LendingPool.markAuctionLoss, when loss < previous and totalSupply() != 0, add (previous - loss) to the release vesting stream exactly as settleAuction does (releaseVestingAmount = unvestedRelease() + (previous - loss); releaseVestingStart = block.timestamp), so decreases vest and entries are priced on _entryAssets().

      State: bob depositETH 5 ETH; alice pawns tokenId 1, term 0, floor 1 ETH -> principal 0.4 ETH.

      At loan.due submit floor 0.5 ETH and call markOverdue(id): auctionLoss[id] = 0.15 ETH, expectedAuctionLoss = 0.15, totalAssets ~ 4.8602 ETH.

      Attacker: depositETH{5 ETH}(attacker) -> ~5.1438e24 shares (priced on the depressed totalAssets; unvestedRelease() is 0 so the 0ac9b173 entry adjustment does nothing).

      Warp to due + 3 days + 1, submit a fresh 0.5 ETH floor, attacker calls shop.startAuction(id): auctionLoss[id] -> 0, expectedAuctionLoss -> 0, totalAssets jumps by 0.15 ETH at once.

      Attacker calls pool.redeemETH(allShares, attacker, attacker) in the next call: claimable = 5.076063365854647978 ETH on a 5 ETH deposit (+0.076 ETH, i.e. 51% of the released 0.15 because D ~ T; approaches the whole 0.15 as D grows toward the deposit cap). bob's previewRedeem rises by only ~0.074 ETH instead of 0.15.

      Expected: a deposit-trigger-redeem round trip earns nothing and the released allowance accrues to the lenders who held through the mark (as it does on the repay/settleAuction path, where test_F4_proof_excessAllowanceVestsOverSevenDays shows a 7-day stream).

      Same sequence works with restartAuction after RESTART_AFTER on an auction whose loss was marked at the terminal price.

    • mediumEntry price deducts a marked expected loss that the borrower can reverse at will: borrower marks own overdue loan, deposits, repays, and takes the vested release from existing lenderssrc/LendingPool.sol:157

      Seam: economics x asymmetry (Trust Gap), actor = the borrower of a marked loan.

      Launch audit 0ac9b173 made entries pay for a release that is already streaming (unvestedRelease), but a release that has not started yet is still fully priced into the entry: totalAssets() subtracts expectedAuctionLoss, so a deposit made after markOverdue() and before the settlement buys shares at the depressed price, and when settleAuction() later starts the 7-day stream the new holder is already in the set that receives it.

      The only party who knows the mark will be reversed, and who can reverse it, is the borrower (repay() is open and settles through settleAuction when auctionLoss[id] != 0, PawnShop.sol:422). markOverdue() is permissionless, so the borrower books the mark themselves. The result is riskless for the borrower with respect to their own loan and is paid by the lenders who held through the mark.

      Suggested minimal fix (design decision for the author): price entries as if marked-but-unsettled losses were already released as well, e.g. _entryAssets() = totalAssets() + unvestedRelease() + (expectedAuctionLoss - amount covered by shortfallReserve), so an entrant never buys the reversal of a mark; alternatively credit the release of auctionLoss[id] to a checkpoint of holders at mark time.

      State: bob depositETH 5 ETH; alice pawns tokenId 1 (term 0, floor 1 ETH, principal 0.4 ETH).

      At loan.due a 0.5 ETH floor is submitted and alice calls markOverdue(id): auctionLoss[id] = 0.15 ETH, bob's previewRedeem = 4.8602 ETH. alice calls pool.depositETH{5 ETH}(alice) (5 ETH <= maxDeposit because the cap room is measured on the depressed totalAssets), then shop.repay{0.4 ETH}(id) (status Active, msg.value == principal). settleAuction releases 0.15 ETH into releaseVestingAmount; alice already holds ~50.7% of supply.

      After 7 days alice redeemETH(all) -> claimable = 5.076063365854647978 ETH (+0.076 ETH on a 5 ETH deposit); bob's previewRedeem = 4.934136634145352022 ETH, i.e. +0.074 ETH instead of the +0.15 ETH that was marked against his shares.

      Expected: the released allowance returns to the lenders who bore the mark; a depositor who enters while the mark stands either pays for the reversal or does not receive it.

      Precondition: the stored floor fell below 2x the loan's LTV (here 0.5 ETH vs 0.4 ETH principal), which the borrower does not control but can wait for; the cycle repeats for every loan and every such floor move.

    • mediumextend() makes the loan current but leaves the markOverdue loss allowance in force for the whole new term; repay() clears it, extend() does notsrc/PawnShop.sol:437

      Asymmetry agent, pair repay()/extend().

      Both calls end the overdue state of an Active loan. repay() (PawnShop.sol:422) routes through LendingPool.settleAuction when auctionLoss[id] != 0 so the allowance booked by markOverdue is released (vesting). extend() writes a new due date and takes the fee but never touches lendingPool.auctionLoss(id): expectedAuctionLoss stays reduced by the full mark for the new 7- or 30-day term even though the loan is no longer overdue and the borrower has paid for the term.

      A loan that was never marked (identical principal and floor, borrower extended one block before due) carries no mark, so two identical current loans price the pool differently depending on whether a third party called markOverdue first.

      Consequences: (1) every lender who redeems during the extended term takes the mark as a haircut on a current loan (3% of their position in the example), and the haircut is transferred to whoever stays, including a borrower who deposits (finding 2); (2) markOverdue after the new due reverts InvalidAmount when the floor has recovered (mayDecrease = false), so the mark can only be corrected by startAuction.

      Minimal fix preserving the design: in extend(), when lendingPool.auctionLoss(id) != 0, release it through the same vesting path the settlement uses (a shop-only pool function that moves auctionLoss[id] into the release stream), or restrict extend() to loans that are not marked so the borrower must repay instead.

      State: bob depositETH 5 ETH; alice pawns tokenId 1 (term 0, principal 0.4 ETH).

      At loan.due a 0.5 ETH floor is submitted; anyone calls markOverdue(id) -> auctionLoss[id] = 0.15 ETH, bob's previewRedeem = 4.8602 ETH. alice calls extend{0.012 ETH}(id, 0): loanActive(id) is true, due = old due + 30 days, but pool.auctionLoss(id) is still 0.15 ETH and expectedAuctionLoss still 0.15 ETH. bob redeems half his shares immediately: claimable = 2.4301 ETH for a position whose fair half (no overdue loan outstanding, fee income vesting) is ~2.5 ETH.

      At the new due with a 1 ETH floor, markOverdue(id) reverts LendingPool.InvalidAmount (0 < 0.15, mayDecrease false); the mark is only cleared by startAuction(id) at due + 3 days + 1 (auctionLoss -> 0).

      Expected: extend() leaves the pool in the same state as a loan that was never overdue, or releases the mark through the vesting path like repay().

    • infoTrust assumption: approveQuestionHash lets the owner admit any attester-signed uint256 answer as a floor immediately, removing the 48-hour exit window lenders previously had against every owner-controsrc/PawnShop.sol:284

      Access x economics, privileged actor (owner); reported as a documented trust assumption, not a bypass (ADAPTATION.md change 3 names it).

      Before this change every owner route to a floor the owner chose was timelocked: queueAttester/executeAttester (48 h), queueCollection/executeCollection with a new question (48 h + 48 h loan cooldown). approveQuestionHash is immediate and unbounded in which question it admits: submitFloor only requires a.questionHash to equal the pin or the approved hash, and FloorRelay verifies any answer the IMD attester signed in the zero-consumer domain regardless of what question it answers.

      The admitted value is then used by pawn() for principal and by startAuction/markOverdue for loss recognition. The owner can therefore, in one block, make the shop lend up to maxShareBps (100% for the identity collection) of totalAssets against one seat NFT to an address of their choosing, with no window for lenders to redeem.

      This is in the owner's declared power set; it is listed so the judge and the author can decide whether the launch wants a short delay (shorter than FLOOR_MAX_AGE) or a bound (e.g. approved answer within some ratio of the last governed floor) on the approval path.

      State: pool totalAssets 5 ETH, identity collection preset (maxLoanBps0 4000, maxShareBps 10000).

      Owner buys an attester-signed uint256 answer whose value is 12.5e18 for any question document (hash H, not the floor question), calls approveQuestionHash(IDENTITY_COLLECTION, H), then submitFloor(IDENTITY_COLLECTION, a, abi.encode(a, imdSig)) in the same block: all other rules pass (chain 1, panel >= 5, quorum >= 4, fresh issuedAt, window within 7800 blocks, FloorRelay returns the magic value).

      An accomplice pawns one seat: principal = 12.5e18 * 4000 / 10000 = 5 ETH = totalAssets, ShareExceeded passes (collectionDebt 0 + 5 <= 5), borrow(5 ETH) succeeds, accomplice is credited 5 ETH minus a 3% fee.

      Lenders had no timelocked notice.

      Expected under the previous model: at least 48 hours between an owner-chosen floor source and its first use.

    • infoDeployment records still name the previous launch's contracts and manifest (evm_project, $token, EOA attester, old PawnShop ABI); the handoff must replace them with the four new deployments plus lendikeeper/config.json:4

      Coverage note for the task's recording step rather than a code defect. web/deployment.json, web/public/imd-deployment.json, dist/imd-deployment.json and keeper/config.json carry launch 2cf5339f (sourceCommit acb96152): PawnShop 0x0cc05d3b..., MilestoneBurn 0xb0316e00..., an evm_project manifest with a token block, a pool block, $token and the raw EOA attester 0x5598aa91....

      None of these match the audit-fixed source in this tree (PawnShop now has approveQuestionHash, loansDisabledUntil, QUESTION_COOLDOWN; MilestoneBurn has replaceQuestionHash and a four-argument constructor). ADAPTATION.md states the handoff replaces them.

      Items the handoff must not miss: FloorRelay address; LendingPool read from PawnShop.lendingPool(); VaultFactory from vaultFactory(); the shop's own LockDiscount from discountModule() (the step-3 LockDiscount is a spare that is not the module until executeDiscountModule); there is no CollateralVault implementation address (vaults are standalone per loan). launch.json is absent from the tree as the manifest step has not run; that is expected.

      Read keeper/config.json: addresses.PawnShop = 0x0cc05d3b2879e8dfd18e987d1a50008506cc3756 and no FloorRelay, LendingPool or LockDiscount entries.

      Read web/deployment.json: manifest.kind = "evm_project", contracts list LaunchToken/PawnShop/MilestoneBurn only, PawnShop constructorArgs use "$token" and attester 0x5598aa9146215bc13eb26f2c692ad1461fd32982 instead of $contract:FloorRelay.

      Running the keeper or site against these addresses targets the pre-fix contracts whose ABI lacks approveQuestionHash(address,bytes32), so the documented floor-posting flow in docs/SETUP-AND-KEEPER.md step 1 cannot execute against them.

      Expected: records list the new deployments and ABIs from this tree.

    1. Medium, src/PawnShop.sol:437. extend() moves the due date forward but never clears the overdue mark that markOverdue() booked in the pool. The loan is current again, yet the pool keeps subtracting the mark for the whole new term. A lender who redeems in that window is paid on a phantom loss. In the scratch test, bob gets 4.62 ETH instead of about 4.91 ETH on a current loan with 1 ETH of collateral behind 0.4 ETH of principal.

    2. Medium, src/LendingPool.sol:158. The launch fix for 0ac9b173 prices entries on the vesting release, but the same capture happens one step earlier. The overdue mark is the auction's terminal price, so a deposit between the mark and repayment carries no real downside and still receives the release pro rata. The borrower is the natural actor: mark own loan at due, deposit the widened cap room, repay inside grace. In the test alice gains 0.159 ETH on an 8-day riskless position and bob ends 0.159 ETH short.

    3. Low, test/PawnInvariant.t.sol:189. The pool-book ledger subtracts cumulativeLoss before adding cumulativeRecoveries, so written-off loans that later sell make the test panic with an underflow. It fails under three different fuzz seeds. The pool's own book is consistent: a copy of the test with additions summed first passes under the same seeds. The F10 fix was never applied to this file, so the suite currently gives no evidence for the accounting it is cited for.

    Findings 1 and 2 carry Foundry proofs that fail on the current code. The proof files are also under test/scratch/ with a fourth test that checks the WETH9 stipend path.

    Periphery checks that held

    • Mainnet WETH9 pays withdraw with a 2300-gas transfer. The pool's receive fits inside it with a faithful WETH9 mock.
    • The seat collection at 0x0000eC93…ec1D is a Solady ERC-721. Simulated transferFrom and safeTransferFrom on mainnet behave as standard, with no pause or transfer restriction.
    • The deployed PAWN token bytecode is identical to the local LaunchToken build, so LockDiscount's exact-amount accounting is safe.
    • The IMD attester address has no code, which is what FloorRelay's ECDSA path expects. FloorRelay's hand-rolled calldata layout and canonical-width checks line up with the attestation struct.

    Trust assumption to note

    Every fresh floor needs an owner approveQuestionHash call, so new loans, extensions, auction starts and restarts all stop if the owner is inactive for more than 26 hours. This is design, not a defect, and is recorded in the coverage row.

    • mediumextend() leaves the overdue loss mark booked against a loan that is current againsrc/PawnShop.sol:437

      markOverdue(id) books principal - min(principal, storedFloor/2) into LendingPool.auctionLoss[id] / expectedAuctionLoss from the due date onward. extend(id, termId) moves loan.due forward by a full term and the loan is Active and current again, but nothing in extend reads or clears lendingPool.auctionLoss(id).

      The pool keeps subtracting the mark from totalAssets() for the entire extended term (up to 90 days) although the loan is no longer overdue and the collateral is still held. Only the eventual repay/settleAuction path releases it.

      Effects: every lender who redeems during the extended term is paid on a phantom loss (the redeemed value is lower than the pool's actual holdings), and the deposit cap room is widened by the mark so a new depositor buys in at the depressed price and later receives the release (see finding 2). The comment at PawnShop.sol:421 says an overdue mark is cleared through the auction settlement path, but extend is a third exit from the overdue state that never reaches settlement.

      Fix: in extend, when lendingPool.auctionLoss(id) != 0, release the mark through the pool with the same F4 vesting that settleAuction uses (e.g. a pool function that moves auctionLoss[id] into releaseVestingAmount), or refuse extend while a mark is outstanding.

      setUp: chain 1, bob depositETH 5 ETH, floor 1 ETH, alice pawns seat #1 at term 0 (principal 0.4 ETH, due = now + 30 days).

      Warp to loan.due; submitFloor 0.2 ETH; anyone calls markOverdue(id): pool.auctionLoss(id) == 0.3e18 and totalAssets() drops by 0.3 ETH.

      Warp +1s, submitFloor 1 ETH, alice calls extend{value: 0.012 ether}(id, 0): loanActive(id) == true and loan.due == now + 30 days.

      Expected: pool.auctionLoss(id) == 0 and expectedAuctionLoss == 0 for a current loan.

      Actual: pool.auctionLoss(id) == 300000000000000000 and expectedAuctionLoss == 300000000000000000.

      Warp +20 days and bob redeems maxRedeem(bob) via redeemETH: receives 4.6204 ETH instead of the ~4.91 ETH the pool actually holds for him (0.3 ETH short), while the loan is current with 1 ETH collateral behind 0.4 ETH principal. test/scratch/ExtendKeepsOverdueLoss.t.sol fails on the current code with those exact values.

    • mediumA deposit made after markOverdue and before settlement captures the released loss allowancesrc/LendingPool.sol:158

      Launch fix 0ac9b173 prices entries on totalAssets() + unvestedRelease() so a deposit during the 7-day release stream cannot capture an allowance that belongs to the lenders who bore the mark. The same transfer still happens one step earlier. markOverdue(id) is permissionless from loan.due and books principal - min(principal, storedFloor/2), which is the auction's terminal price when the collateral is held, i.e. a worst case that is normally not realised.

      The mark lowers totalAssets() (and so previewDeposit's denominator) and widens maxDeposit by the same amount. Anyone who deposits between the mark and settlement buys shares at the depressed price with no exposure to the marked loss, and when the loan is repaid (or sold at or above principal) settleAuction vests the whole allowance to all holders pro rata, including the new depositor.

      The borrower is the natural actor: they know they will repay inside the 3-day grace period, can mark their own loan at the due date, deposit, repay, and redeem after 7 days.

      Victim: the existing lenders, who are not restored by the release they bore.

      Fix options: price entries on totalAssets() + expectedAuctionLoss excess that was subtracted (i.e. treat an outstanding mark like an unvested release for entry pricing), or snapshot the release to the share supply at the time of the mark; both preserve the F4/F5 design.

      setUp: chain 1, bob depositETH 5 ETH (sole lender), floor 1 ETH, alice pawns seat #1 term 0 (principal 0.4 ETH).

      Warp to loan.due, submitFloor 0.2 ETH. bob's previewRedeem(balance) = 5.0102 ETH. alice calls markOverdue(id): auctionLoss(id) = 0.3e18, bob's previewRedeem falls to 4.7102 ETH, pool.maxDeposit(alice) = 5.2898 ETH (0.3 ETH more room than before the mark). alice depositETH{value: 5.2898 ether}(alice).

      Warp +1 day (inside grace); alice repay{value: 0.4 ether}(id): unvestedRelease() == 0.3e18.

      Warp +7 days.

      Expected: bob back at >= 5.0102 ETH and alice's shares worth what she paid.

      Actual: alice previewRedeem = 5.4485 ETH (gain 0.1587 ETH on a riskless 8-day position), bob previewRedeem = 4.8515 ETH (0.1587 ETH below his pre-mark value). test/scratch/PreSettlementDepositCapturesRelease.t.sol fails on the current code with those exact values.

After a write-off, cumulativeLoss holds the full principal and a later buyAuction adds the sale to cumulativeRecoveries without reducing cumulativeLoss (LendingPool.receiveRecovery), and the recovery also vests through the donation checkpoints so unvestedDonations grows by the same amount.

      The running value goes negative before the recoveries term is added and the test panics with 0x11. With fail_on_revert = true the whole suite fails. This is the F10 defect ('sum additions before subtracting') left in this file, not a pool defect: the first three assertions in the same function pass on the failing state, and a copy of the test with the ledger written as additions - deductions passes under the same seeds.

      Because the suite is listed in ADAPTATION.md as passing evidence for the accounting, the claim is not currently supported by a run.

      Fix: sum 5 ether + ghostDeposits + ghostDonations + cumulativeLoanFees + cumulativeRecoveries first, then subtract ghostWithdrawals + unvestedDonations + cumulativeLoss + the reserve-excess term (as PoolAccountingInvariant.t.sol already does).

      forge test --match-test invariant_poolBookMatchesCashAndDebt --fuzz-seed 0x2de334316489e14bd5f15bc73ef37baf5a366013b73c47370714660ca1636222 fails with 'panic: arithmetic underflow or overflow (0x11)' after a 9-call sequence (advanceAndPublish, pawn x2, advanceAndPublish x3, repayOrAuction(auction=true), advanceAndPublish, repayOrAuction(auction=true)).

      State at the check: cash 3.8841 ETH, totalBorrowed 0, cumulativeLoanFees 0.06766 ETH, unvestedDonations 1.99 ETH, cumulativeLoss 3.17356 ETH, ghostSettlements 2.79644 ETH; 5 + 0.06766 - 1.99 - 3.17356 underflows before + cumulativeRecoveries (1.99 ETH) is added.

      Expected 1.8941 ETH equals pool.totalAssets() once the terms are reordered.

      Seeds 0x1234 and 0xabcdef fail the same way; test/scratch/PawnInvariantReordered.t.sol (same handler, reordered ledger) passes under all three seeds.

    Work is complete and verified. Summary:

    What I added (all under test/, nothing in src/ or config):

    • test/FailurePaths.t.sol (15 tests): every refused loan-state transition, exact boundaries (grace period, 26-hour freshness inclusive, share cap filled to the wei by ten loans with the eleventh refused), submitFloor age/time limits, bounty shortfall, governance input guards, collection-without-code and foreign-module refusal, LendingPool caps/allowances/two-step ownership, CollateralVault initialization/receiver/worker-authorization guards, LockDiscount tier thresholds one wei either side, MilestoneBurn setup and burn guards.
    • test/ExternalDependencies.t.sol (3 tests): a WETH9-faithful stand-in whose withdraw pays with the 2300-gas transfer stipend, driving borrow, native withdrawal, redemption and settlement, plus a direct stipend-only call into the pool's receive. Also documents repay being blocked while the collection refuses transfers.
    • test/PropertyFuzz.t.sol (4 fuzz properties, 1000 runs each): auction curve endpoints, continuous slope join and round-up direction; donation vesting bounded, monotone and complete; entry during a release stream never gains or dilutes; locked tokens equal custody with monotone tiers.
    • test/CONTRIBUTOR_TESTS.md updated with the new suites and owed live checks.

    Result: forge test passes 159 tests across 25 suites, including the four existing invariant campaigns, with no failures or skips.

    Findings reported in .imd-findings.json (none high or critical, so no proof files required):

    • Low: repay reverts whole when the collection refuses transferFrom, so a paying borrower cannot extinguish the debt while the loan keeps ageing toward write-off.
    • Low: buyAuction accepts another loan's CollateralVault as receiver and the token is then permanently stranded. Confirmed with a scratch test: the expected InvalidRecipient revert does not occur and no exit path exists.
    • Info: LockDiscount assumes an exact-transfer ERC20 at the external PAWN token address. The live token could not be inspected offline, so this is an owed fork check.
    • Info: launch-record consistency. The step-3 LockDiscount is a spare, not discountModule(). MilestoneBurn takes four constructor arguments. The existing web/deployment.json and keeper/config.json describe an earlier evm_project launch and must be regenerated.
    • Info: the deposit cap can only rise. Reported for design confirmation.

    Still owed and not runnable here: mainnet fork runs against real WETH9 and the identity.md seat collection, the PAWN token's transfer semantics, and the live attester through FloorRelay.

    • lowRepayment reverts whole while the collection refuses transfers, so a paying borrower cannot extinguish the debtsrc/PawnShop.sol:425

      repay() settles the pool and then calls CollateralVault.release(borrower), which performs IERC721.transferFrom without any tolerance for a collection that refuses the transfer (paused, soulbound, blocklisted recipient). writeOffAuction and holdsCollateral() were made tolerant of a missing or burned token, but the repay path was not: a borrower who pays the exact principal gets the whole transaction reverted.

      The loan keeps ageing while the collection is paused, markOverdue books an expected loss, startAuction can run, buyAuction fails for the same reason (release again), and after 40 days writeOffAuction books the full principal as lender loss while the NFT still sits in the vault. The borrower's funds are never at risk (the revert returns them), but the pool bears a loss that a willing payer tried to prevent.

      Compare CollateralVault.release line 168, which only skips the transfer when ownerOf no longer returns the vault.

      Deploy the stack with the MockNFT collection (test/helpers/Mocks.sol). alice pawns token 1 (principal 0.4 ETH).

      Call nft.setFailTransfers(true) so transferFrom reverts. alice calls shop.repay{value: 0.4 ether}(id).

      Expected: debt extinguished (as writeOffAuction tolerates an immovable token) or at minimum the NFT retrievable later; actual: revert 'mock transfer failed', loan still Active, totalBorrowed still 0.4 ETH, collateral still in the vault.

      Documented by test/ExternalDependencies.t.sol::test_repayIsBlockedWhileTheCollectionRefusesTransfersAndResumesAfter, which also shows repay succeeds once transfers resume.

    • lowbuyAuction accepts another loan's CollateralVault as receiver and the bought NFT becomes permanently immovablesrc/PawnShop.sol:545

      Audit F14 refuses receiver == loan.vault and receiver == loan.collection, but any other CollateralVault of the same collection is accepted. A vault can only move its own tokenId: release() transfers tokenId only, callFor() forbids the collection as target, withdrawToken() forbids the collection, and onERC721Received is never consulted because release uses plain transferFrom.

      An NFT delivered to a different vault therefore has no exit path for anyone, including that vault's borrower and the shop owner. The input is the buyer's own, so no third party loses funds, but the outcome is irreversible and F14's stated intent was that vault addresses are never valid receivers.

      alice pawns tokens 1 and 2 (loans A and B, vaults VA and VB).

      Default and auction loan B; after one block call shop.buyAuction{value: price}(B, VA).

      Expected: revert InvalidRecipient as for receiver == VB; actual: success, nft.ownerOf(2) == VA.

      Then: VA.callFor(collection, ...) reverts ForbiddenTarget; VA.withdrawToken(collection, 2) reverts ForbiddenTarget; repaying loan A releases only token 1.

      Token 2 is stranded in VA.

    • infoLockDiscount (and MilestoneBurn) assume an exact-transfer ERC20 at 0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478; the live token's semantics could not be verified offlinesrc/LockDiscount.sol:73

      lock() books locked[msg.sender] += amount before safeTransferFrom and unlock() pays the booked amount back. With a fee-on-transfer or rebasing token the ledger exceeds custody: the last unlocker's safeTransfer reverts for lack of balance, and tierOf grants discounts for tokens the module does not hold. The PawnShop constructor also takes this token as pawnToken and compares it only by address.

      Every test here uses the repository's LaunchToken (plain OZ ERC20) or a local mock; no network was available to inspect the mainnet token, so this is an owed check, not a confirmed defect.

      Owed fork/on-chain check before launch: confirm the verified source at 0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478 has plain transfer/transferFrom (no fee, no rebasing, no transfer hooks, 18 decimals as LockDiscount's tier constants assume).

      Local illustration with a 1% fee-on-transfer mock: alice.lock(100e18) -> locked[alice] == 100e18 but token.balanceOf(module) == 99e18; alice.unlock(100e18) reverts ERC20InsufficientBalance.

      Expected for a plain token (asserted by test/PropertyFuzz.t.sol::testFuzz_lockedTokensAreFullyAccountedAndTiersAreMonotone): locked[alice] == balanceOf(module) at all times.

    • infoLaunch record: the separately deployed LockDiscount is not the shop's active module, MilestoneBurn takes four constructor arguments, and the existing web/keeper records describe a different launchweb/deployment.json:1

      (a) PawnShop's constructor creates and binds its own LockDiscount (src/PawnShop.sol line 173).

      The LockDiscount deployed as manifest step 3 is a spare: PawnShop.discountModule() returns the constructor-created instance, and the spare only becomes active after the owner queues it and 48 hours pass (asserted by test/LaunchAdaptation.t.sol::test_launchOrderDeploysOnEmptyChainWithFactoryAsSender and test/FailurePaths.t.sol::test_collectionWithoutCodeAndForeignModulesAreRefusedAtExecution).

      The launch record, web/deployment.json, web/public/imd-deployment.json and keeper/config.json must record discountModule() as the active module (read from the shop, like lendingPool()) and label the step-3 address as spare, or the owner must execute the module change before the site points at it. (b) MilestoneBurn's constructor is (token, questionSetter, signer, pawnShop): the brief lists 'token, $contract:PawnShop'.

      The setter is immutable and must be $owner; the signer must be $contract:FloorRelay (the shop's initial attester, mirrored by syncSigner). (c) web/deployment.json and keeper/config.json in this tree still carry an earlier evm_project launch (LaunchToken via $token, EOA attester 0x5598..., kind evm_project, Uniswap pool key) that contradicts the evm_contracts deployment described: external token 0x4f2b..., FloorRelay as attester, no LaunchToken.

      They must be regenerated from the confirmed deployment handoff, not edited by hand. None of this is testable in Solidity; it is recorded so the manifest and publishing stages do not propagate the mismatch.

      Deploy in manifest order on an empty chain: relay = new FloorRelay(); shop = new PawnShop($owner, 0x4f2b..., 0xC02a..., relay); spare = new LockDiscount(0x4f2b..., shop); burn = new MilestoneBurn(0x4f2b..., $owner, relay, shop).

      Observe shop.discountModule() != address(spare) and LockDiscount(shop.discountModule()).pawnShop() == shop.

      Observe MilestoneBurn has no two-argument constructor (compilation).

      Observe keeper/config.json addresses.LaunchToken and web/deployment.json manifest.kind == 'evm_project' with '$token', which the evm_contracts recipe forbids.

    • infoThe deposit cap can only ever rise; the owner cannot throttle or stop new deposits in an incidentsrc/LendingPool.sol:384

      queueDepositCap reverts for any cap <= depositCap, and there is no deposit pause. newLoansPaused stops lending but not deposits, so during an oracle or collection incident new lenders keep entering a pool whose expected losses are booked only when keepers call markOverdue/markAuctionLoss (docs/review-notes.md: 'checkpointed book accounting, not continuous repricing').

      This matches the F12 design (CapRaised) and is reported for confirmation, not as a defect; if a lowering path is wanted it must keep the 48-hour timelock.

      owner calls pool.queueDepositCap(5 ether) while depositCap is 10 ether -> revert InvalidAmount (asserted in test/FailurePaths.t.sol::test_poolInputGuardsAndAccess).

      Expected under the current design: revert.

      A lowered cap would require a source change.

  10. Audit judgeAgent #976found 1 high, 4 medium, 5 low, 2 info

    Review complete. The findings file .imd-findings.json holds 12 findings and an 80-row coverage record answering all 76 verifier entry points.

    What I did

    • Ran all four specialist proofs on this tree. All four fail for the reasons their findings state.
    • Reproduced the remaining eight code findings with my own scratch tests, every one confirmed.
    • Checked the live mainnet token and the IMD attester over the network. The code at the PAWN address is byte-for-byte the compiled LaunchToken runtime, and api.imd.fun reports the same attester FloorRelay hardcodes.
    • Checked launch.json against the brief and the constructors. It is consistent, including the four-argument MilestoneBurn and the spare LockDiscount note.

    Findings kept, after merging duplicates

    1. High. The allowance decrease in markAuctionLoss with mayDecrease has no F4 vesting, so a deposit around the permissionless startAuction or restartAuction takes released value from lenders. Three specialists reported this as one root cause. Merged, with my own fix-neutral proof.
    2. Medium. totalAssets underflows once a vesting release is unbacked by cash and remaining loans are marked, freezing the pool for up to seven days. Specialist proof kept.
    3. Medium. extend leaves the overdue mark in force for the whole new term. Three reports merged. Proof attached, accepting either fix shape.
    4. Medium. Entry pricing ignores a marked-but-unsettled allowance, so an entrant between mark and repay captures the release. Two reports merged. Proof attached.
    5. Medium. writeOffAuction realises full principal while the collateral is still sellable, and a late entrant who buys it captures the recovery.
    6. to 10. Low. Release clock restart, restart resets the write-off clock, bounty exemption bypass via another address, repay reverts while a collection refuses transfers, and buyAuction accepts a foreign vault as receiver.
    7. Info. Owner and oracle trust assumptions around approveQuestionHash and floor liveness.
    8. Info. The web and keeper records still describe the earlier launch and must be regenerated from the confirmed handoff with the active discount module read from the shop.

    Dropped

    • The token semantics concern, resolved by the on-chain bytecode match.
    • The PawnInvariant ledger underflow. It passes here with all three seeds the specialist named, so it could not be reproduced.
    • The raise-only deposit cap, which is the documented design.

    No repository file was changed. Scratch tests live only under test/scratch.

    • highstartAuction/restartAuction release a marked loss allowance instantly (markAuctionLoss mayDecrease=true has no F4 vesting); a depositor around the permissionless call takes the release from the lendersrc/LendingPool.sol:258

      Merged from audit_math, audit_economics and audit_permissions (same root cause). settleAuction (lines 268-275) streams any allowance released beyond the realised loss over VESTING = 7 days and previewDeposit prices entries on totalAssets()+unvestedRelease(), so the repay path cannot be sandwiched. markAuctionLoss with mayDecrease = true performs the same kind of release but writes it straight into expectedAuctionLoss: totalAssets() and the share price jump in the same call and nothing vests or re-prices it.

      PawnShop.startAuction (PawnShop.sol:476-478) and restartAuction (495-497) call it permissionlessly with recovery = auctionPrice(id) at elapsed 0, i.e. the full fresh floor, while markOverdue booked principal - floor/2. For any default where floor/2 < principal the allowance falls to 0 in one call.

      Anyone can therefore deposit at the marked price, call startAuction and redeem immediately (three calls, one transaction, flash-loan compatible) and leave with part of the released allowance; a lender exiting in the next block achieves the same without a deposit. Once the Dutch price decays, anyone calls PawnShop.markAuctionLoss(id) and the same loss is re-booked only on the lenders who stayed. restartAuction repeats the window every 17 days for an unsold auction.

      Reproduced with all three specialist proofs (they fail on this tree for the stated reason) and with the attached proof.

      Fix preserving the design: in markAuctionLoss, when loss < previous and totalSupply() != 0, move (previous - loss) into the same release stream settleAuction uses (releaseVestingAmount = unvestedRelease() + delta; releaseVestingStart = block.timestamp) and cancel unvested release first when a later mark raises the allowance again so a re-marked loss is not deducted twice.

      State: bob depositETH 5 ETH; floor 1 ETH; alice pawn(identity seat #1, term 0) -> principal 0.4 ETH.

      At loan.due submit floor 0.5 ETH and call markOverdue(id): auctionLoss(id) = 0.15 ETH, expectedAuctionLoss = 0.15 ETH. carol depositETH{5 ether}(carol).

      Warp to due + GRACE + 1, submit a fresh 0.5 ETH floor, carol calls shop.startAuction(id): auctionLoss(id) -> 0, unvestedRelease() == 0, totalAssets() rises by 0.15 ETH at once. carol calls pool.redeemETH(allShares, carol, carol).

      Expected: claimable(carol) <= 5 ETH (an entry/exit around a permissionless allowance decrease earns nothing, as on the settleAuction path).

      Actual: claimable(carol) = 5076063365854647978 wei (+0.076 ETH); bob's previewRedeem grows by ~0.074 of the 0.15 ETH released.

      Ten days later shop.markAuctionLoss(id) re-books the 0.15 ETH against bob alone. test/scratch/JudgeProof_InstantRelease.t.sol fails with 'deposit/startAuction/redeem round trip captured the released allowance: 5076063365854647978 > 5000000000000000000'.

    • mediumtotalAssets() underflows once an F4 release is vesting, the idle cash has been withdrawn and the remaining loans are marked as lost; every deposit, withdrawal, pawn, extend, marked repay, buyAuction asrc/LendingPool.sol:129

      From audit_math; reproduced with its proof, which fails on this tree with panic 0x11 inside LendingPool.totalAssets. cash >= shortfallReserve + unvestedDonations and expectedAuctionLoss <= totalBorrowed are maintained, so without unvestedRelease the expression is never negative. unvestedRelease is set in settleAuction (lines 270-274) and bounded only by totalAssets at that moment, which included idle cash that lenders may withdraw afterwards (maxRedeem/maxWithdraw use totalAssets, which already excludes the release, so the withdrawal passes) and principal that may later be marked as lost.

      After both, cash_dust + TB - TB - 0 - unvestedRelease underflows and every function reading totalAssets() reverts until the release decays: deposit/mint/depositETH, withdraw/redeem/withdrawETH/redeemETH, maxDeposit/maxWithdraw/maxRedeem/preview*, PawnShop.pawn (share cap), extend and every _distributeFee path, repay of any loan with a mark (settleAuction reads totalAssets), buyAuction and writeOffAuction. markOverdue and startAuction still run, so a marked borrower who wants to repay during the freeze cannot while the auction clock runs.

      Fix: never let the release term exceed what remains (subtract min(unvestedRelease(), remainder)), or keep the release backed by excluding it from what maxWithdraw/maxRedeem let lenders take.

      State: bob depositETH 5 ETH; floor 2.5 ETH -> pawn token 1 term 1 (1 ETH); floor 5 ETH -> pawn token 2 term 1 (2 ETH); totalBorrowed 3 ETH.

      (1) warp 7 days; submitFloor(1 wei); markOverdue(A) -> auctionLoss(A) = 1 ETH.

      (2) alice repay{1 ether}(A) -> settleAuction releases 1 ETH: unvestedRelease() = 1 ETH.

      (3) bob redeemETH(maxRedeem(bob)) -> idleAssets() < 1e9 wei.

      (4) markOverdue(B) -> expectedAuctionLoss = 2 ETH.

      (5) pool.totalAssets().

      Expected: a value <= 3 ETH and depositETH by a new lender succeeds.

      Actual: totalAssets() reverts with panic 0x11, and so do deposit/withdraw/pawn/extend/buyAuction/writeOffAuction until unvestedRelease() has decayed (about 7 days).

      The attached proof fails with 'panic: arithmetic underflow or overflow (0x11)'.

    • mediumextend() makes an overdue loan current again but leaves the markOverdue loss allowance booked for the whole new termsrc/PawnShop.sol:437

      Merged from audit_economics (low), audit_permissions (medium) and audit_flow (medium); kept at medium because every lender who redeems during the extended term is paid on a phantom loss. markOverdue (F5) books principal - min(principal, storedFloor/2) into LendingPool.auctionLoss[id] from the due date. repay() routes a marked loan through settleAuction so the mark is released with F4 vesting (line 422), but extend() only moves loan.due and takes the fee: auctionLoss[id] and expectedAuctionLoss keep the mark for up to 90 days although the loan is current and the collateral is held.

      Consequences: totalAssets() and the share price are understated by the mark for the whole term (a redeeming lender takes the haircut and whoever stays, including a depositor who buys in at the depressed price, receives it later as a release); the collection share cap and the 5% reserve target are computed on the depressed figure; and once the floor has recovered a later markOverdue after the new due reverts InvalidAmount (mayDecrease = false), so the mark can only be cleared by repayment or by startAuction.

      Fix preserving the design: in extend, when lendingPool.auctionLoss(id) != 0, release it through the same vesting path settleAuction uses (a shop-only pool function that moves auctionLoss[id] into the release stream), or refuse extend while a mark is outstanding so the borrower must repay.

      State: bob depositETH 5 ETH; floor 1 ETH; alice pawn(seat #1, term 0) -> principal 0.4 ETH, due = now + 30 days.

      Warp to loan.due; submitFloor 0.5 ETH; anyone calls markOverdue(id): auctionLoss(id) == 0.15e18, totalAssets() == 4.8602 ETH. submitFloor 1 ETH; alice calls extend{value: 0.012 ether}(id, 0): loanActive(id) == true, due moved +30 days.

      Expected: auctionLoss(id) == 0 and expectedAuctionLoss == 0 for a current loan with 1 ETH behind 0.4 ETH (or the mark moved into the vesting release).

      Actual: auctionLoss(id) == 150000000000000000, expectedAuctionLoss == 150000000000000000, totalAssets() still 4.8602 ETH; bob redeeming half his shares right away receives 2.4301 ETH; at the new due with a 1 ETH floor markOverdue(id) reverts LendingPool.InvalidAmount. test/scratch/JudgeProof_ExtendMark.t.sol fails with 'overdue mark survives the extension: 150000000000000000 != 0'.

    • mediumA deposit made after markOverdue and before settlement buys the reversal of the mark: entry pricing ignores a marked-but-unsettled allowance, and the borrower can run mark -> deposit -> repay -> redeesrc/LendingPool.sol:158

      Merged from audit_permissions and audit_flow. Launch fix 0ac9b173 prices entries on totalAssets() + unvestedRelease() so a deposit during the 7-day stream cannot capture a release already underway. A release that has not started is still fully priced into the entry: totalAssets() subtracts expectedAuctionLoss, and the mark also widens maxDeposit by the same amount.

      Anyone who deposits between markOverdue (permissionless from the due date, booked at the auction's terminal price which is normally not realised) and the settlement buys shares at the depressed price with no exposure to the marked loss; when the loan is repaid or sold at principal, settleAuction vests the whole allowance to all holders pro rata, including the newcomer.

      The borrower is the natural actor: they know they will repay inside the 3-day grace, can mark their own loan at due, deposit, repay, and redeem after 7 days; existing lenders are not restored by a release they bore. Distinct root cause from finding 1 (this path does vest; the entry price is wrong) and from finding 3.

      Fix options preserving F4/F5: price entries on totalAssets() plus the part of expectedAuctionLoss not covered by shortfallReserve (treat an outstanding mark like an unvested release for entry pricing), or snapshot the release of auctionLoss[id] to the share supply at mark time.

    • mediumwriteOffAuction realises the whole principal while the collateral is still held and sellable; a buyer who deposits first takes most of its own purchase price back through receiveRecoverysrc/PawnShop.sol:537

      From audit_economics; reproduced (test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol::test_writeOffThenRecoveryCapturedByLateEntrant). writeOffAuction is permissionless 40 days after the auction start and settles with msg.value = 0, so _settle books gap = principal: the reserve is consumed and the rest hits cumulativeLoss and the share price at once. The NFT stays in its auction at the terminal price (50% of auctionFloor, above principal at 40% LTV unless the floor fell by more than 20%).

      A later sale goes through receiveRecovery, which restores the reserve and vests the rest as income to whoever holds shares then, and previewDeposit values the pool after the write-off with nothing for the sellable asset it still effectively owns (the write-down also creates deposit-cap room).

      So any party can deposit after the write-off and then buy the collateral, receiving its pro-rata share of the recovery after the 7-day vest; the lenders who bore the write-off are not made whole although the sale covered principal. Distinct from finding 4: here the loss is realised, not marked, so entry pricing on outstanding marks does not cover it.

      Fix: while vault.holdsCollateral() is true keep the written-off loan as an expected-loss allowance (principal - current auction price) instead of realising principal, or snapshot the lenders entitled to a written-off loan's recovery.

    • lowsettleAuction restarts the 7-day vesting clock on the whole unvested remainder for every new release, so a dust release re-locks an older onesrc/LendingPool.sol:272

      From audit_math; reproduced (test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol::test_releaseClockRestart). Donations and fees vest with per-tranche cumulative checkpoints (_vest/unvestedDonations) so a new tranche never delays an older one, but the release stream is a single (amount, start) pair: every new release folds the old remainder into the amount and resets start to now, stretching the remainder over a fresh seven days.

      Repeated small releases (a MIN_LOAN loan marked overdue and repaid every few days) keep lenders' value unrecognised indefinitely; impact is delayed recognition and withdrawal, not loss.

      Fix: track releases like donations (cumulative amount and unlock-weight checkpoints), or vest each delta separately.

    • lowrestartAuction resets auctionStarted, so a restart every 17 days keeps writeOffAuction unreachable for an unsold auction with held collateralsrc/PawnShop.sol:492

      From audit_economics; reproduced (test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol::test_restartPushesWriteOffOut). writeOffAuction requires block.timestamp >= loan.auctionStarted + WRITE_OFF_DELAY (40 days) while the vault holds the NFT, and restartAuction (anyone, after RESTART_AFTER = 17 days, fresh floor) overwrites auctionStarted.

      Because 17 < 40, each restart pushes the write-off date another 40 days out, so a loan can be kept in Auction indefinitely for gas every 17 days: collectionDebt stays charged against the share cap, the borrower's LockDiscount commitment is never released, and each restart also re-runs the instant allowance release of finding 1.

      Fix: keep a separate first-start timestamp for the write-off clock, or forbid a restart from postponing an already reachable write-off.

      Actual: reverts GracePeriod, and stays unreachable while a restart happens every 17 days.

    • lowF7 'no bounty for the borrower' is bypassed by calling startAuction from any other addresssrc/PawnShop.sol:480

      From audit_economics; reproduced (test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol::test_borrowerAltAddressBounty). The check compares msg.sender with loan.borrower only, so the borrower starts the auction of their own loan from a second EOA and collects min(0.002 ETH, principal/100) from bountyReserve, which is funded by protocol fees. Dust per loan, but a stated audit fix that does not hold; a borrower cycling MIN_LOAN loans on term 1 (fee 1%) collects up to 1% of principal back per default.

      Fix: accept that the check is cosmetic and document it, or size the bounty so it is always below the fee the borrower paid.

    • lowrepay() reverts as a whole while the collection refuses transfers, so a paying borrower cannot extinguish the debt and the pool books the loss insteadsrc/CollateralVault.sol:168

      From write_foundry_tests; reproduced (test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol::test_repayBlockedWhileCollectionRefusesTransfers).

      PawnShop.repay settles the pool and then calls CollateralVault.release(borrower) (PawnShop.sol:425), which performs a plain transferFrom with no tolerance for a collection that refuses the transfer (paused, blocklisted recipient). writeOffAuction and holdsCollateral tolerate a burned or seized token, but a token that is present and immovable reverts repay and buyAuction: the loan keeps ageing, markOverdue books a loss, startAuction runs, and after 40 days writeOffAuction books the full principal as lender loss while the NFT still sits in the vault.

      The borrower's funds are not at risk (the revert returns them).

      Fix: let repay settle the debt and mark the vault released even when the transfer fails (try/catch in release, with a later borrower-only retrieval once the collection moves again).

      Deploy with the MockNFT identity collection; alice pawns token 1 (principal 0.4 ETH); nft.setFailTransfers(true); alice calls shop.repay{value: 0.4 ether}(id).

      Expected: debt extinguished (or the NFT retrievable later).

      Actual: revert 'mock transfer failed', loanActive(id) still true, totalBorrowed still 0.4 ETH, token still in the vault; repay succeeds only once transfers resume.

    • lowbuyAuction accepts another loan's CollateralVault as receiver and the bought NFT becomes permanently immovablesrc/PawnShop.sol:545

      From write_foundry_tests; reproduced (test/scratch/JudgeChecks.t.sol::test_buyAuctionToOtherVaultStrandsToken). Audit F14 refuses receiver == loan.vault and receiver == loan.collection, but any other CollateralVault of the same collection is accepted. A vault can only move its own tokenId: release() transfers tokenId only, callFor() and withdrawToken() forbid the collection as target, and onERC721Received is not consulted because release uses plain transferFrom.

      An NFT delivered to a different vault has no exit path for anyone, including that vault's borrower and the shop owner. The input is the buyer's own, so no third party loses funds, but the outcome is irreversible and contradicts F14's intent that vault addresses are never valid receivers.

      Fix: refuse any receiver whose code is a vault of this shop (e.g. a VaultFactory registry check), or use safeTransferFrom to a contract receiver.

      alice pawns tokens 1 and 2 (loans A and B, vaults VA and VB).

      Default and auction loan B; after one second call shop.buyAuction{value: 1 ether}(B, VA).

      Expected: revert InvalidRecipient as for receiver == VB.

      Actual: success, nft.ownerOf(2) == VA; VA.withdrawToken(collection, 2) reverts ForbiddenTarget; VA.callFor(collection, ...) reverts ForbiddenTarget; repaying loan A releases only token 1, so token 2 is stranded.

    • infoTrust assumptions to document: approveQuestionHash admits an attester-signed answer as a floor immediately (no 48-hour window), and default resolution depends on fresh oracle floorssrc/PawnShop.sol:286

      From audit_permissions and audit_economics; owner and operator powers that are part of the requested design (launch audit da7976ab, F1), reported as trust assumptions rather than defects.

      (a) Every other owner route to a floor source is timelocked (queueAttester/executeAttester, queueCollection/executeCollection with a 48-hour loan cooldown), but approveQuestionHash is immediate and unbounded in which question it admits: submitFloor only requires a.questionHash to equal the pin or the approved hash, and FloorRelay verifies any uint256 answer the IMD attester signed in the zero-consumer domain regardless of the question.

      The owner can therefore, in one block, admit a hash for any attester-signed uint256 answer and have pawn() lend up to maxShareBps (100% for the identity collection) of totalAssets against one seat, with no exit window for lenders.

      (b) startAuction and restartAuction require a floor issued within 26 hours; if the IdentityMD oracle stops answering the pinned question, overdue loans stay Active, collateral cannot be sold and lenders can only withdraw idle cash until a fresh attestation or an approveQuestionHash re-admission. Suggested follow-ups for the author to decide: a short delay or a ratio bound on the approval path, and a lender-facing note on the oracle liveness dependency.

      (a) State: totalAssets 5 ETH, identity collection preset (maxLoanBps0 4000, maxShareBps 10000).

      Owner obtains an attester-signed uint256 answer of 12.5e18 for any question H, calls approveQuestionHash(IDENTITY_COLLECTION, H) then submitFloor(IDENTITY_COLLECTION, a, abi.encode(a, imdSig)) in the same block (chain 1, panel >= 5, quorum >= 4, fresh issuedAt, window within 7800 blocks): an accomplice pawns one seat for principal 12.5e18*4000/10000 = 5 ETH = totalAssets.

      Expected under the previous model: 48 hours between an owner-chosen floor source and its first use.

      (b) floor 1 ETH at T; pawn(term 0); no further submitFloor; warp T + 33 days: startAuction(id) reverts StaleFloor, writeOffAuction(id) reverts InvalidLoan (status Active).

    • infoweb/deployment.json, web/public/imd-deployment.json and keeper/config.json still describe the earlier evm_project launch; the handoff must regenerate them from the confirmed deployment and record Pawnkeeper/config.json:4

      Merged from write_foundry_tests, audit_economics and audit_permissions.

      The manifest concerns they raised are resolved: launch.json in this tree lists FloorRelay (no args), PawnShop ($owner, 0x4f2b..., WETH, $contract:FloorRelay), LockDiscount (token, $contract:PawnShop) and MilestoneBurn (token, $owner, $contract:FloorRelay, $contract:PawnShop), matching the four-argument constructor at src/MilestoneBurn.sol:37, with notes (1852 chars) that label the step-3 LockDiscount as a spare.

      Verified live: the code at 0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478 is byte-for-byte the compiled LaunchToken runtime (plain OZ ERC20, 18 decimals, 1e27 supply), so LockDiscount's exact-transfer assumption holds, and api.imd.fun reports attester 0x5598aa91... as FloorRelay's constant.

      What remains: the records in the tree carry launch 2cf5339f (PawnShop 0x0cc05d3b..., MilestoneBurn 0xb0316e00..., kind evm_project, a token/pool block, '$token', EOA attester) and no FloorRelay, LendingPool, VaultFactory or LockDiscount entries. Running the keeper or site against them targets pre-fix contracts whose ABI lacks approveQuestionHash(address,bytes32).

      The handoff must write the four confirmed addresses plus lendingPool(), vaultFactory() and discountModule() read from the deployed shop, label the manifest LockDiscount as spare (commit() is only called on the bound module, so PAWN locked in the spare earns no discount until executeDiscountModule), and ship the audit-fixed ABIs. Not a code defect; recorded so the recording and publication steps do not propagate the mismatch.

      Read keeper/config.json: addresses.PawnShop = 0x0cc05d3b2879e8dfd18e987d1a50008506cc3756 and addresses.LaunchToken present, no FloorRelay/LendingPool/LockDiscount.

      Read web/deployment.json: manifest.kind == 'evm_project', PawnShop constructorArgs contain '$token'.

      Deploy per launch.json on an empty chain and read PawnShop.discountModule(): it is the constructor-created instance, not the step-3 address; LockDiscount(spare).lock(1_000_000e18) followed by pawn() yields tierOf(borrower) == 0 on the bound module and the undiscounted fee.

      Expected: records list the new deployments, ABIs and the active module.

  11. Adapt contract projectAgent #97615 files changed

    The revision is complete. All five held proofs reproduced on the starting tree and now pass, the full suite passes, and every finding is answered in .imd-responses.json.

    Fixed (seven findings, each with a regression test in test/LaunchAdaptation.t.sol):

    • Instant release on a lowered mark (high). The pool now routes every change of the recognised book through one reconcile step. A lowered mark vests over seven days like a settlement release, and a raised mark cancels the unvested remainder first so nothing is deducted twice.
    • totalAssets underflow (medium). The unvested release is subtracted only up to what remains, so the book never goes below zero while a stream is vesting.
    • extend kept the overdue mark (medium). Extending a marked loan releases the mark through the vesting stream.
    • Entry pricing ignored outstanding marks (medium). Deposits are priced on cash plus principal net of the reserve, so an entrant between a mark and its settlement buys none of the release. The entrant bears the mark if it is realised instead.
    • Write-off realised principal while collateral was held (medium). A write-off still frees the collection share and PAWN commitment after 40 days, but a held token stays on the book as an allowance. The principal is realised only once the collateral is gone, by a second call.
    • Restart postponed the write-off (low). The write-off clock runs from the first auction start.
    • buyAuction accepted another loan's vault (low). The vault factory records its vaults and the shop refuses all of them as receivers.

    Reproduced but left alone, with reasons recorded: the release-clock restart, the cosmetic borrower bounty check, and repay reverting while a collection blocks transfers. The two info items are documented as trust assumptions and handoff instructions in ADAPTATION.md.

    Verification:

    CheckResult
    forge buildpasses, PawnShop runtime 21,853 bytes
    forge test152 passed, 0 failed (includes the 5 reviewer proofs)
    Protected floorneeds the deployer's environment, mirrored by the launch-order test

    Existing tests that asserted the old write-off semantics were updated, the ABIs in docs/abi/ and web/public/abi/ were regenerated, the site's loan panel reads the new fields, and the README's write-off paragraph now describes the new behaviour. Deployment records still await the handoff's confirmed addresses, as the launch reference requires.

  12. ManifestAgent #4291 file changed2 attempts
    #1581Clauderuntime erroron the agent's machine: the task produced no changes; the agent's last message was: The manifest is verified and unchanged.

    Failed on the agent's machine.

    the task produced no changes; the agent's last message was: The manifest is verified and unchanged. Nothing else is needed.

    Outcome: launch.json already matches the accepted source and the brief, so this revision leaves it byte-for-byte as accepted. The assignment listed no concrete findings, and my own checks found nothing to change.

    What I verified against the accepted tree

    • FloorRelay has no constructor arguments, with the IMD attester and chain id 1 fixed as constants in source.
    • PawnShop takes owner, token, WETH and attester in that order. The manifest passes $owner, the PAWN token, mainnet WETH and $contract:FloorRelay.
    • LockDiscount takes token and shop. The manifest passes the token and $contract:PawnShop.
    • MilestoneBurn takes token, question setter, initial signer and shop. The manifest passes the token, $owner, $contract:FloorRelay and $contract:PawnShop.
    • The manifest has exactly the keys kind, contracts and notes. Notes are well under the 4000 character limit, and every name is unique and in dependency order.

    Checks run

    • forge build succeeds. PawnShop runtime is 21,853 bytes and its init code 47,161 bytes, both inside the EIP-170 and probe limits.
    • forge test passes all 147 tests across 22 suites.
    • A scratch rehearsal in test/scratch mirrors the protected floor: factory as msg.sender via create2, chain id 1, no other contracts present. It deploys the four manifest entries with the exact manifest arguments, then confirms PawnShop and its LendingPool are owned by the owner, the pool's asset is WETH, the shop's attester and MilestoneBurn's signer are the deployed FloorRelay, new loans start paused, all child contracts bind the shop, every runtime is under the size bound and contains no DELEGATECALL, CALLCODE or SELFDESTRUCT.

    One note on the brief. It says the PawnShop constructor deploys a CollateralVault implementation. The accepted source instead deploys a VaultFactory that creates full vaults per loan, plus a LendingPool and an active LockDiscount. The existing notes already explain this and ask the handoff to record the pool, factory and active discount addresses alongside the four listed contracts.

    Working tree is clean apart from the scratch directory, which is excluded from submission.

    #429Claude1 file changed

    Done. The only tracked change is launch.json, and the scratch directory is ignored by git.

    Outcome: launch.json now carries a diff, which the previous attempt lacked. The four contract entries and their constructor arguments are byte-identical to the accepted manifest. Only the notes changed, so they describe the tree as it stands after the later accepted launch-review commit that touched PawnShop, LendingPool and VaultFactory.

    What the revised notes add

    • They state that the launch-review fixes are included and that none changed a constructor.
    • They spell out each constructor signature with the value each argument takes, including that $owner is both PawnShop owner and fee recipient and that LendingPool is owned by $owner.
    • They explain why the brief's CollateralVault implementation address does not exist in the accepted source, and that the listed LockDiscount is a spare distinct from the one PawnShop creates.
    • They name the exact addresses the handoff must read from PawnShop and the files to record them in, with the ABIs from docs/abi.
    • They record the runtime size margin and the absence of ETH, external calls and initialization in constructors.

    Verification

    • The manifest has exactly kind, contracts and notes, with unique names in dependency order and every reference pointing backward. Notes are 2,395 characters.
    • forge build succeeds, and forge test passes all 147 tests across 22 suites.
    • A scratch rehearsal deploys the four entries through a create2 factory on chain id 1 with the exact manifest arguments. It confirms PawnShop and its LendingPool are owned by the owner, the pool asset is WETH, both oracle consumers use the deployed FloorRelay, new loans start paused, both child contracts bind the shop, and the PawnShop runtime is under the EIP-170 limit.

    Remaining for later steps: source verification on Etherscan, address recording in the web and keeper files, and site publication all happen after deployment and are outside this manifest assignment.

  13. Write foundry testsAgent #362 files changed

    The findings file is in place and intentionally excluded from git by the harness, which collects it separately. Everything is done and verified, with roughly 40 minutes to spare.

    Outcome. The accepted suite was left intact and extended with one new file, test/RevisionEdges.t.sol. The delivered suite passes with 173 tests and one deliberate skip. One new defect is reported with a failing proof rather than asserted as correct.

    What the new tests cover

    • Overdue mark against a moving floor. One second before due is refused, a falling floor raises the mark, a rising floor is refused rather than lowering it, a repeat is a no-op, and only the auction start or a borrower's extension lower it.
    • Identical governance re-queue. Queueing the same term change again restarts its 48-hour clock, so the first clock can never execute it early.
    • Disabled collection. New loans are refused while open loans still extend, repay, default, auction and sell.
    • ERC-20 pool paths. WETH deposit, mint, withdraw and redeem stop at the cap and at idle liquidity with the standard ERC-4626 errors, and refuse zero receivers and amounts.
    • Live token fork check. Compares the mainnet PAWN bytecode with the local LaunchToken and checks an exact transfer. It skips unless an RPC URL env var is set, so the offline verifier is unaffected.

    Live checks run this round. The PAWN token on mainnet has runtime code byte-identical to the local LaunchToken, with matching symbol, decimals and supply. That closes the exact-transfer check owed from the previous round. WETH9 and the IDMD seat collection have code at their configured addresses.

    Defect reported in .imd-findings.json. The overdue mark in PawnShop.markOverdue never asks the vault whether it still holds the collateral. For a revoked seat under a 1 ETH floor it books a loss of zero, so the pool is overstated by the full principal for the three-day grace window, and a lender who exits then pushes the whole loss onto those who stay. The self-contained proof fails on the current source and is embedded in the finding, rated medium. The earlier low finding about repayment blocked by a transfer-refusing collection is restated as still open.

    Still owed on a fork. WETH9's own withdraw stipend through the real contract and a live floor through FloorRelay. Both are covered offline by stand-ins and recorded vectors.

    • mediummarkOverdue ignores missing collateral and books a zero or partial loss for a loan that is a certain total losssrc/PawnShop.sol:471

      markOverdue computes recovery = min(principal, floors[collection].price / 2) and calls lendingPool.markAuctionLoss(id, principal, recovery, false) without asking the loan's CollateralVault whether it still holds the token (holdsCollateral()). startAuction, restartAuction, markAuctionLoss and writeOffAuction all pass the vault's holdsCollateral() and auctionPrice() returns 0 for missing collateral, so every other path books the full principal once the seat is gone; the overdue path alone prices the loss as if half the floor were recoverable.

      The identity.md seat collection can revoke or burn a seat (the vault's holdsCollateral and isValidSignature already exist for that case, audit F13). For such a loan the pool's book stays overstated by principal - (principal - floor/2) from the due date until block.timestamp > due + GRACE (3 days), when startAuction can first book the real loss.

      Anyone can call markOverdue, so the mark is the mechanism the design (audit F5) offers for recognising expected losses early, and the overstated price is what every depositor and redeemer transacts at during that window: a lender who redeems during grace takes more than their share and the lenders who stay absorb the whole principal.

      Suggested fix, preserving the design: in markOverdue, use recovery = 0 when !CollateralVault(payable(loan.vault)).holdsCollateral() (or pass auctionPrice-style logic), so the overdue mark equals principal for missing collateral exactly as the auction paths do. The mark may still only rise, so a vault that regains the token is handled by startAuction (mayDecrease = held) as today.

      Pool: bob and carol deposit 2.5 ETH each (5 ETH, 1 ETH floor). alice pawns seat #1 at term 0: principal 0.4 ETH, fee 0.012 ETH (0.0102 vests to lenders).

      The seat issuer burns token #1 (vault.holdsCollateral() == false).

      At loan.due, post a fresh 1 ETH floor and call shop.markOverdue(id).

      Expected: pool.auctionLoss(id) == 0.4 ETH and totalAssets == 4.6102 ETH.

      Actual: pool.auctionLoss(id) == 0, expectedAuctionLoss == 0, totalAssets == 5.0102 ETH.

      Consequence: pool.redeemETH(pool.maxRedeem(bob), bob, bob) during the grace period credits bob about 2.5051 ETH instead of at most 2.3051 ETH.

      After due + GRACE + 1, startAuction(id) books auctionLoss(id) == 0.4 ETH (auctionPrice is 0 for missing collateral) and carol's remaining shares are worth about 2.1051 ETH instead of 2.3051 ETH.

      With a 0.5 ETH floor the same call books 0.15 ETH instead of 0.4 ETH.

      Verified with forge test --match-path test/scratch/ProofSeizedOverdue.t.sol: fails on the current source with overdue mark ignores the missing collateral: 0 != 400000000000000000.

      The proof is expected to pass once markOverdue books recovery 0 for missing collateral: the first assertion becomes 0.4 == 0.4, bob's maximum redemption falls to about 2.3051 ETH and carol keeps about 2.3051 ETH (the source is read-only in this task, so the post-fix run is reasoned from the arithmetic, not executed).

    • lowRepayment is blocked while the seat collection refuses transferFrom; the loan keeps ageing toward defaultsrc/PawnShop.sol:429

      repay settles the pool and then calls CollateralVault.release(borrower), which does IERC721(collection).transferFrom. A collection that refuses transfers (paused or transfer-restricted seats) makes the whole repayment revert, so the borrower cannot clear the debt and the loan proceeds to markOverdue, startAuction and write-off while the restriction lasts.

      The vault's release already tolerates a token that is gone (holdsCollateral false emits CollateralUnavailable); it does not tolerate a token that is present but untransferable. Still open from the previous round; the behaviour is exercised, not asserted as correct, in test/ExternalDependencies.t.sol (test_repayIsBlockedWhileTheCollectionRefusesTransfersAndResumesAfter).

      Possible mitigation preserving the design: let repay succeed and leave the token claimable by the borrower from the vault later, or guard release with a try/catch that records the borrower as the owed receiver.

      Pawn seat #1 (0.4 ETH principal).

      Make the collection's transferFrom revert (MockNFT.setFailTransfers(true) locally). alice calls shop.repay{value: 0.4 ether}(id).

      Expected: the debt is settled and the token becomes claimable or is returned when transfers resume.

      Actual: the call reverts with the collection's error, totalBorrowed stays 0.4 ETH, loanActive(id) stays true and the loan can be marked overdue and auctioned once due passes.

      Once transfers resume, repay succeeds (same test).

    • infoLive-dependency checks run this round: PAWN token bytecode equals LaunchToken; WETH9 and the seat collection have codesrc/LockDiscount.sol:74

      Over a public mainnet RPC: the token at 0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478 has runtime code byte-identical to the local LaunchToken deployed bytecode (SHA-256 of both: c632afd2703038034364111e98153078289a44ddf6ab9536d54e1c796859c606), symbol PAWN, 18 decimals, supply 1e27.

      The exact-transfer assumption in LockDiscount.lock and MilestoneBurn.burn therefore holds for the configured token and the previously owed live check is closed; test/RevisionEdges.t.sol carries the fork test (skips offline). WETH9 (0xC02a...6Cc2, symbol WETH) and the identity.md collection (0x0000eC93...ec1D, symbol IDMD) have code; the IMD attester 0x5598...2982 has none, consistent with a signing key.

      Not run live: WETH9's own withdraw stipend through the real contract and a live floor through FloorRelay; both are covered offline by stand-ins and recorded vectors.

      cast code 0x4f2bacee5f2e7ce3f48dfbd635d96e9a8fcbe478 --rpc-url | sha256sum versus out/LaunchToken.sol/LaunchToken.json deployedBytecode.object; PAWN_MAINNET_RPC_URL= forge test --match-path test/RevisionEdges.t.sol --match-test testFork passes.

  14. Audit judgeAgent #127found 1 low

    This round leaves one new low-severity finding open. All five of my previous must-fix findings are fixed and stay closed. The findings and the coverage record (78 rows, covering all 76 entry points plus 2 invariants) are in .imd-findings.json.

    What I ran: my four attached proofs, copied into test/scratch/, all pass on the revised code. The full suite passes (173 tests, 1 skipped). PawnInvariant passes under the three seeds that failed for audit_flow. Contract sizes are within the limits; PawnShop's creation code is 47,161 bytes. launch.json matches the constructors. I removed test/scratch/ afterwards and left the tree unchanged.

    My earlier must-fix findings, all fixed:

    • b79122ba (instant release when an auction starts or restarts): fixed. A lowered mark now vests over seven days through _reconcileRelease. Two specialist proofs (808bb82b, 96da86db) still fail, but only because they assert the old behaviour: one expects nothing to be vesting after startAuction, the other reads bob's value before the release has vested. The attacker no longer profits in either.
    • e5e83677 (totalAssets underflow): fixed. The release term is now capped at what remains, and the proof passes.
    • 3f291830 (extend left the overdue mark booked): fixed. extend now releases the mark through vesting.
    • 548fab74 (a deposit after markOverdue captured the release): fixed. Deposits are now priced ignoring outstanding marks.
    • 1753e7e5 (write-off realised principal while the collateral was still sellable): fixed. While the vault holds the token the loan stays as an expected-loss allowance, and a sale settles it through settleAuction. I traced the restart, refresh, buy and "collateral disappears later" paths.

    My earlier advisory findings:

    • Fixed: 977167 (restarts no longer push back the write-off; auctionOpenedAt is never moved) and ce743ba5 (isVault refuses any vault of this shop as an auction receiver). 3a8311 (trust assumptions) is now documented in ADAPTATION.md.
    • Disputes accepted: 4bddaf (vesting clock restart delays recognition only), 2d4226 (repay blocked while the collection refuses transfers; no funds at risk) and 98d6e7 (deployment records are the handoff's job).
    • 06c3b4 (borrower bounty from a second address): the author's argument is wrong. Once a lock discount applies, the fee can fall below the 1% bounty; for example, a tier-1 discount on term 1 gives a 0.8% fee. The borrower's net gain is still at most about 0.0004 ETH per loan, below mainnet gas, so I did not reopen it.

    New finding (low), from write_foundry_tests (76ffad78): markOverdue at src/PawnShop.sol:471 books its loss against half the stored floor without asking whether the vault still holds the NFT. For a revoked or burned seat it books 0, while every auction path books the full principal.

    • Effect: from the due date until the auction can start three days later, a lender who withdraws is paid at an overstated share price, and the lenders who stay absorb the whole loss.
    • Why low: before the due date nothing marks such a loan at all, so this only fails to close the last three days of a gap that already exists.
    • Proof: the specialist's proof is attached and fails on this code with 0 != 400000000000000000.
    • Fix: use a recovery of 0 when holdsCollateral() is false.

    Dropped:

    • e3e3e8ee (the PawnInvariant ledger underflow) no longer reproduces under any of the reported seeds.
    • 1c8ba8b1 is the same issue as 2d4226, whose dispute I accepted.
    • The specialists' leads already settled above, and the slither and aderyn leads I checked, add nothing new: the reentrancy lines sit behind nonReentrant and the only-the-shop checks, and the strict equalities are deliberate.

    • lowmarkOverdue prices the loss at floor/2 even when the vault no longer holds the collateral, unlike every auction pathsrc/PawnShop.sol:471

      From write_foundry_tests (76ffad78); reproduced with its proof on the revised tree. markOverdue books principal - min(principal, storedFloor/2) via lendingPool.markAuctionLoss(id, principal, recovery, false) without consulting CollateralVault.holdsCollateral(). startAuction, restartAuction, PawnShop.markAuctionLoss and writeOffAuction all go through auctionPrice(), which returns 0 when the vault no longer holds the token, so they book the full principal.

      For a loan whose seat was revoked/burned (the case audit F13 and holdsCollateral exist for), the overdue mark books 0 (floor >= 2x principal) or a partial loss, and the pool's book stays overstated by up to the principal from the due date until startAuction becomes callable at due + GRACE (3 days). A lender redeeming in that window is paid at the overstated price and the lenders who stay absorb the whole principal when startAuction books it.

      Kept at low, not medium: before the due date no function marks a missing-collateral loan at all, so the overstatement already exists for the whole term; markOverdue only fails to close the last 3 days of it. Fix preserving F5: in markOverdue use recovery = 0 when !CollateralVault(payable(loan.vault)).holdsCollateral(); the mark still never decreases (mayDecrease = false).

      Pool: bob and carol depositETH 2.5 ETH each; floor 1 ETH; alice pawn(seat #1, term 0) -> principal 0.4 ETH.

      Seat issuer burns token #1 (vault.holdsCollateral() == false).

      Warp to loan.due, submit a fresh 1 ETH floor, anyone calls shop.markOverdue(id).

      Expected: pool.auctionLoss(id) == 0.4e18 (auctionPrice would be 0 for missing collateral) and bob's maxRedeem worth <= 2.3051 ETH.

      Actual: pool.auctionLoss(id) == 0, expectedAuctionLoss == 0, totalAssets 5.0102 ETH; bob redeems ~2.5051 ETH during grace; at due + 3 days + 1 startAuction(id) books 0.4 ETH and carol is left ~0.2 ETH below her half.

      The attached proof (copy of the specialist's) fails on this tree with 'overdue mark ignores the missing collateral: 0 != 400000000000000000'.
