Fix this same project for Squeekchain Genesis Code: the original brief was incomplete. Reuse tested code; follow the complete requirements below. Build and publish "Squeek Signal Garden", an original finished browser puzzle game and stream companion for Squeekchain Genesis Code. Read https://squeekchain.com/genesis/code and respect its build/skip rules. Ship a playable product whose mechanics use real Squeekchain data, not a dashboard, API wrapper, landing page, tutorial fork or clone. GAME: Restore a night garden by routing energy from a hamster wheel source through rotatable conduit tiles into four flower beacons. Use a 6x6 grid with straight, elbow and T-junction tiles, obstacles and a limited move budget. Tap/click selects a tile; Rotate button or R rotates it; arrow keys move focus; Enter selects. Make all controls work on touch without dragging. A three-minute run has three progressively harder boards and an actual win/loss screen. Track a score, connection streak, combo and local personal best. Include a short interactive tutorial, pause/restart and an optional sound toggle (off until user interaction). Use a deterministic seeded generator that constructs a connected solution before scrambling tiles; every board must be solvable within its move budget. No dead buttons or placeholder features. SQUEEKCHAIN INTEGRATION, VERIFIED PUBLIC ENDPOINTS:

  1. GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/status (schemaVersion 1): measurement.freshness, observedAt, staleAfterSeconds, counterEpoch, cumulativeWorkUnits (decimal string), coreStatus, rpmMilli, speedMmPerSecond, distanceMm; generatedAt and installationId. builder.projected values are optimistic, never describe them as confirmed chain state.
  2. GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/economy/state (schemaVersion 2): status, chain.target, chain.chainId (decimal string), lifecycle.currentRound, release.id. At research time it served Sepolia 11155111: display the actual network, never claim Ethereum-mainnet gameplay.
  3. GET https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/settlements?range=24h (schemaVersion 3): status, installationId, recentSettlements[].transactionHash, settledThroughRound, workAdded, cumulativeWork, confirmationStatus and blockTimestamp. Recent settlements need not include every idle round; do not assume the list is contiguous. These public APIs allow CORS. Reverify all fields before implementation; do not invent endpoints, contract methods or token rewards. MODES, ALL SHARING ONE REAL GAME ENGINE: - Live Garden: poll status every 10 seconds and economy every 60 seconds, no overlapping requests; honor Retry-After, use timeout/backoff and suspend when hidden. Pin an epoch and source baseline when starting; positive new work/distance generates a visible, capped reservoir (e.g. one extra growth charge per 1000 mm, capped at 3, consumed only once). The player spends a charge to illuminate a correctly routed beacon with a bonus. Routing itself remains playable at baseline power while the hamster sleeps. Round changes determine the next board's deterministic seed, never reset a board mid-run. Display the exact mapping, source timestamp, network and live/idle/stale status in How it works. Baseline sampling must never award past lifetime distance. Repeated samples, reconnects, negative deltas, counterEpoch changes, reordered timestamps or installation/release changes must never create duplicate energy; rebaseline with an explanation. Telemetry is provisional; don't call it verified chain settlement. - Round Challenge: the default instant-play option when the wheel is idle. Fetch and pin a safe confirmed settlement with positive workAdded; use its transactionHash + round as the board seed and its workAdded to set a bounded energy budget. Show its round, timestamp and a transaction link using the chain actually reported by the API. This is a clearly labelled historical round challenge, never fake live activity. The same pinned round produces the same puzzle and budget on two devices. Save only local bests; do not invent an online/global leaderboard. Allow restart and selecting another available archived round. - Demo: an explicit labelled practice mode with a fixed deterministic fixture, available on network failure. Never silently replace live/archive data with random values. Demo bests are separate from live/archive bests. A reviewer can complete a tutorial and a full game even when the real hamster is asleep or the API is down. PRODUCT AND VISUAL QUALITY: English-first clear copy, with an optional complete Chinese translation if budget permits. Dark observatory/night-garden aesthetic, warm gold energy, cyan signals, deep indigo ground, hand-crafted SVG/CSS botanical tiles and a small original hamster-wheel illustration. Give the game board visual priority over metrics. Strong typography, restrained motion, clear selected/powered/blocked/won states and polished transitions. Responsive at 390px and 1440px without horizontal overflow. Keyboard accessible controls, visible focus, readable contrast, non-color-only feedback and prefers-reduced-motion. A concise About panel explains the actual Squeekchain dependency and links to https://squeekchain.com and https://squeekchain.com/genesis/code. Avoid copied assets and official-approval claims. STREAM/SHARE: Provide a real overlay URL using a query parameter supported on static IPFS hosting, with a clean 16:9 garden scene, round/mode/freshness badge and a hide-controls option. Copy overlay URL and export garden PNG must work; provide a manual-copy fallback. Overlay mode renders the same source-dependent game/garden, not a marketing screenshot. Scores and progress persist locally with graceful storage failure handling. No accounts, new contracts, wallet signatures, token approvals, wagering, custody, paid APIs or financial promises are needed inside the game. DELIVERY AND ACCEPTANCE: Build from a fresh project, publish the complete runnable source to the IMD-delivered public GitHub repository, and publish a working static production site through IMD IPFS hosting. Include README with setup/build/test commands, architecture and exact API-to-game mapping, scoring/seed formulas, known limits, and a two-minute reviewer walkthrough. Add meaningful deterministic engine/adapter tests for solvability, repeat samples, epoch/reset/stale behavior and archive reproducibility. Run the production build and tests. Browser-check desktop and mobile, keyboard/touch flows, a complete win/loss/restart, idle live input, unavailable API, honest demo labels, overlay and PNG export; record actual results and any unavailable checks in README. Independently review against this brief and fix critical gameplay/usability errors before delivery. Return job URL, live site URL, public source/commit and validation evidence. Prefer a complete reliable core game over optional extra screens. All required functionality must work; no TODOs, fabricated passing test results, or fake data presented as live.

The game itself is solid, but its most visible link to the real wheel is wrong. It says the hamster is resting while the wheel is running. Three findings are high and should reopen the build. All 11 findings are in .imd-findings.json, and every path, line and snippet was checked against the tree. No project files changed.

The idea: a night-garden conduit puzzle where gold signal from a hamster wheel wakes cyan flowers on indigo. That one idea carries the site, and no competing visual devices need cutting.

    • highbug: the game says Squeektoshi is resting while the real wheel runs at 66 rpmsrc/data/telemetry.ts:7

Now: freshness() returns idle whenever coreStatus is IDLE, and the real API sends coreStatus IDLE while the wheel is moving. Every wheel surface then reads idle or resting, and the wheel illustration's accessible name says the hamster is resting: the Live badge, 'Wheel now', the overlay badge, 'Small paws, quiet night.' and 'Squeektoshi is resting.' That text sits next to a reservoir that just filled to 3 from the same movement.

Change to: return m.rpmMilli === 0 && m.speedMmPerSecond === 0 ? 'idle' : 'live'; update the 'core IDLE' sentence at README.md:94 and the adapter test at tests/adapter.test.ts:75, which uses the value 'RUNNING' (not seen in any sample taken for this review, which returned only ACTIVE and IDLE), so it asserts coreStatus IDLE with rpmMilli above 0 is live.

Why: the brief requires 'live/idle/stale status' and 'fake data presented as live' is forbidden; a false resting label on a running hamster misstates the one real signal this game depends on.

Width 1440 (also seen at 390 and in the overlay).

Open ?mode=live against the real API, press Start garden, wait 23 s.

Status responses captured in the same page: {observedAt 02:41:56.935Z, coreStatus IDLE, rpmMilli 66053, speedMmPerSecond 967, distanceMm 5799190} then {02:42:06.934Z, IDLE, 68183, 998, 5808848}.

      Expected: badge says live.

Actual: 'Live Garden · idle · round 1229', 'Small paws, quiet night.

Squeektoshi is resting.', 'Wheel now: Idle · baseline power on', reservoir 3 / 3, note 'New wheel movement grew bonus energy'.

Separate curl sampling: 12 consecutive 10-second samples all IDLE with rpmMilli 42126 to 67440 and distance rising from 5604274 to 5699098.

    • highbug: hiding the tab for 30 seconds awards 3 charges after the page promises nonesrc/App.tsx:77

Now: on hide, the tracker is marked needsBaseline, but the 1-second feed clock keeps firing this effect with the last pre-hide sample. That old sample satisfies the rebaseline, so needsBaseline is false before the player returns, and the first new sample pays out the whole hidden gap. The note meanwhile reads 'Reconnected and rebaselined. Distance during the gap grants no energy.'

Change to: at the top of this effect add if (document.hidden) return; and in breakContinuity store breakAfter: the last observed time, then have sample() ignore any sample whose observedAt is not newer than breakAfter, so only a sample received after the break can rebaseline. Add an adapter test that replays hide, stale sample, gap sample and expects 0 charges.

Why: the brief says reconnects must 'rebaseline with an explanation' and to 'suspend when hidden'; the explanation shown here is false and energy is awarded for time nobody played.

Width 1440, status mocked with page.route, virtual clock. ?mode=live with distanceMm 1000000, work 5000.

      Start garden: charges 0.

Set document.hidden true and dispatch visibilitychange; note immediately reads 'Reconnected and rebaselined...' and 0 status calls occur over the next 30 s.

Raise distance by 27000 and work by 30, set hidden false, advance past the next poll, press nothing.

      Expected: rebaseline, Grow 0.

      Actual: Grow 3.

A control run with no hide and one idle poll kept charges at 0, and the normal +1500 mm sample gave exactly 1, so the gain comes from the hidden path.

    • highbug: the selected tile paints over the board cover and collides with its text at 390src/styles/app.css:17

Now: .tile.selected has z-index 1 and .board-cover has z-index auto, so one bright outlined tile sits on top of every cover: the pause screen, the first-load 'Finding a settled round…' screen and the outage screen. It overlaps the cover's text and shows a board tile while the board is meant to be hidden.

Change to: add z-index:3 to the .board-cover rule, above the tile's focus z-index of 2. Nothing else moves.

Why: text over text at 390 is a broken layout, and the brief asks for 'clear selected/powered/blocked/won states'. It appears on every first load, so it is on the first screen; the probe misses it because it measures after loading.

      Width 390x844, ?mode=demo.

Start garden, tap cell C3 (data-cell 14), tap Pause.

Measured: selected tile box x142-192, y510-561; 'Garden paused' text box x78-312, y483-523, so 13px of vertical overlap; 'The night can wait.' box y543-561 is also crossed. elementFromPoint at the tile centre returns 'tile tile-conduit selected' with computed z-index 1 against cover z-index auto.

Default selection on the real round: tile B6 x309-360, y458-509 still overlaps the heading's right edge by 3px (visible on screenshot).

Outage: with the API blocked, tile A2 floats above 'No safe round loaded' on the first screen.

Loading: with responses delayed 4 s, at 0.8 s the cover reads Finding a settled round… and elementFromPoint at tile A2 (x85-136, y402-453) returns the tile, not the cover.

    • mediumfidelity: a loading or failed Round Challenge is labelled as a settled source on an offline practice fixturesrc/App.tsx:18

Now: with no round loaded, the source panel still shows 'Source: Historical · API-safe settlement', 'Network: Offline practice' and 'Source time: Fixed practice fixture', because stamp('') and networkName(null) only have Demo wording. While the first request is in flight the wheel panel also says 'A signal in the dark. Live data is unavailable or stale.', and 'Wheel now' shows lowercase 'unavailable'.

Change to: use the Demo wording only when mode is demo. In other modes show 'Source: Waiting for a settled round', 'Network: Not loaded', 'Source time: Not loaded'. Show 'Checking the wheel' with no paragraph while !feed.status && !feed.errors.status, and capitalise the 'Wheel now' value ('Unavailable', 'Stale', 'Live').

Why: the brief requires 'honest demo labels' and says never to replace archive data silently; each state must say only what the app knows.

      Width 390x844.

      Delay all api.squeekchain.com responses 4 s, open /, read at 1 s.

      Cover: 'Finding a settled round…'.

Wheel panel: 'A signal in the dark.

Live data is unavailable or stale.

Historical rounds and Demo stay playable.'

Source panel: 'Source | Historical · API-safe settlement | Network | Offline practice | Source time | Fixed practice fixture | Wheel now | unavailable'.

The same text stays after the requests fail.

Expected: not-loaded wording; the fixture wording belongs only to the Demo tab.

    • mediumbug: an outage shows the raw string 'Failed to fetch', with its Retry button below the first screensrc/data/rpc.ts:53

Now: a network failure surfaces the browser's error.message, so the page reads 'Failed to fetch'. That message and its Retry source button sit below the board and run stats, off the first phone screen. The cover on screen says 'No safe round loaded' and offers only Play Demo.

Change to: when error is a TypeError, store 'Squeekchain could not be reached. Retry, or practice in Demo.' Render the existing Retry source button inside .board-cover next to Play Demo, and show that message in the cover in place of 'Garden preview'. Remove the .source-error block for this state so the space below the board closes up.

Why: the brief requires an 'unavailable API' state with no dead ends, and a failure state must explain itself where the visitor is looking.

      Width 390x844.

Block https://api.squeekchain.com/v1/** with route.abort(), open /, wait 1.2 s. .source-error box y=930.47, height 110.39, while the viewport ends at 844, so it starts 86px below the fold. innerText: 'Failed to fetch / Retry source / Practice in Demo'.

Pressing Retry source leaves the same text.

Cover text: 'Garden preview / No safe round loaded / Play Demo'.

    • mediumbug: Ctrl+R or Cmd+R spends a rotation and blocks the browser's reloadsrc/components/Board.tsx:21

Now: both R handlers match any key whose value is r and ignore modifiers, here and at src/App.tsx:99. Ctrl+R or Cmd+R calls preventDefault and rotates the selected tile, so the reload does not happen and one move of a limited budget is spent.

      Change to: if (e.key.toLowerCase() === 'r' && !e.ctrlKey && !e.metaKey && !e.altKey && !disabled) here, and the same three modifier checks at src/App.tsx:99.

Why: the brief sets 'a limited move budget' and a genuine loss at the cap; a browser shortcut must not silently cost a move.

      Width 1440x900, ?mode=demo, Chromium.

Start garden, click a conduit tile.

      Rotations reads '0 / 11'.

      Press Control+r.

Expected: 0 / 11 and the shortcut left to the browser.

      Actual: Rotations reads '1 / 11', and a window keydown listener records {ctrlKey:true, defaultPrevented:true}.

Plain r gives the next rotation, as intended.

Cmd+R takes the same code path but was not pressed on a Mac; the reload itself was not observed because headless Chromium has no browser shortcuts, so the evidence is the cancelled event.

    • mediumbug: the overlay overflows and clips at a 1280x720 browser sourcesrc/styles/app.css:32

Now: the board column scales with viewport height, but the right column does not. At 720 high the side panel makes the page taller than the viewport, the brand is cut by the top edge and 'View round transaction' by the bottom edge.

Change to: add @media(min-width:761px) and (max-height:800px){.controls-hidden .wheel-scene p,.controls-hidden .reservoir p.small-copy{display:none}}. This removes two paragraphs of at least 44px each against a 23px overflow; the scene keeps the round, mode, freshness, network and link.

Why: the brief asks for 'a clean 16:9 garden scene', and 1280x720 is 16:9. The 1920x1080 scene passes.

      Width 1280x720, ?overlay=1&controls=0 on the real API, wait 3.5 s. documentElement.scrollHeight=743 against innerHeight=720, so 23px overflow.

The screenshot shows 'Squeek Signal Garden' cut at the top edge and the transaction link cut at the bottom.

Control at 1920x1080: scrollHeight=1080, nothing clipped.

    • mediumfidelity: 'Show controls' stays visible in the scene with controls hiddensrc/styles/app.css:21

Now: with controls=0, a bordered 'Show controls' button stays in the bottom-right corner of the captured scene at 60% opacity, so it is broadcast to viewers.

Change to: .controls-hidden .overlay-toggle{opacity:0} plus .overlay-app:hover .overlay-toggle,.overlay-toggle:focus-visible{opacity:.6}. It stays reachable by pointer and keyboard (OBS Interact included) and leaves the captured frame.

Why: the brief asks for 'a clean 16:9 garden scene' and 'a hide-controls option'; a hidden-controls state that still shows a control is not clean.

Width 1920x1080, ?overlay=1&controls=0, no pointer movement. .overlay-toggle box x=1781, y=1020, 123x44, label 'Show controls', visible in the screenshot. Expected: no interface control in the frame until hover or focus.

    • mediumbug: Start garden and the end of the board fall below the first screen on real phone and laptop browser heightssrc/styles/app.css:25

Now: the header, two-line headline, sentence, tabs, badge and metrics take 402px before the board starts at 390 wide. At 390x844 everything fits, but with phone browser bars (390x664) Start and Rotate are below the fold and the board is cut. At 1440x780, a 1440x900 laptop minus browser chrome, the action row is also off screen. Every rotation needs the Rotate button, so it should not start off screen.

Change to: add @media(max-width:760px) and (max-height:760px){.intro{position:absolute;clip-path:inset(50%);inline-size:1px;block-size:1px;overflow:hidden}.app-header{min-block-size:56px}.mode-tabs button{padding-block:6px}}, which keeps the h1 for assistive tech and lifts the board and controls by about 155px, putting Start's bottom near 645. In the compact desktop query at app.css:30 change the first column to minmax(0,min(490px,calc(100vh - 330px))), about a 40px smaller board at 780 high, so Start ends near 776.

Why: the brief asks to 'Give the game board visual priority over metrics', and the main action belongs on the first screen. Medium because it passes at the probe's 390x844 and 1440x900.

      Before any scrolling.

Width 390x664, real API: board y402-732, Start y756-800, viewport ends 664, so 68px of the board and all of Start are below it.

Width 1440x900 layout: board ends y=826, Start y=854-898.

At 1440x780 the viewport ends at 780, so Start and the last 46px of the board are below it.

Control at 390x844: Start bottom 800 fits.

    • lowfidelity: Local best on a Round Challenge shows a score earned on a different roundsrc/App.tsx:144

Now: a per-round best is saved under run.source.key and never read. The HUD and result screen use the mode-wide value, so a round never played shows another round's score as its best, even though budgets differ between rounds.

      Change to: const best = bests[mode === 'archive' && run ? run.source.key : mode] ?? 0;

Why: the brief makes each pinned round its own challenge with its own budget, and asks for a 'local personal best'.

      Width 1440x900, real API.

Win round 1228 with score 3,217.

Choose Change round and round 1214, which has never been played.

      Expected: Local best 0.

      Actual: 'Local best 3,217'.

Stored bests: {"archive":3217,"signal-garden/v1|archive|11155111|0xb7c8...|1228":3217}, with no entry for 1214.

    • lowtaste: every board opens with a scrambled tile already selected, giving away one answersrc/core/engine.ts:105

Now: createRun, and the 'next' branch at line 128, start the selection on the first tile that is out of place, so the gold outline points at a wrong tile before the player has looked. Garden 1 scrambles only 4 tiles, so this gives away a quarter of the puzzle.

Change to: selected: puzzle.source in both places. Rotate then starts disabled on the wheel tile and the existing 'Select a tile, then rotate.' line tells the player what to do.

Why: the brief says 'Tap/click selects a tile'; the first choice should be the player's.

Width 390x844, real round 1228, before Start: D4 is outlined and is an east-west straight in a column that needs north-south (screenshot). Tapping Start then solving took 4 rotations on this board, one of them on D4.

All eleven previous findings are fixed. No new reproducible defect was found. .imd-findings.json contains {"findings":[]}. Project files remain unchanged.

The previous findings were settled as follows:

    Previous findingResult and measured evidence
bug: moving wheel labelled restingFixed. At 1440px and in the overlay, the explicit IDLE fixture with rpmMilli=66053, speed 967 reports live in the badge, heading, details and accessible name.
bug: hidden interval awards chargesFixed. At 1440px, 30 hidden seconds produce zero requests. Returning with +27,000mm grants zero charges; the subsequent +1,500mm grants exactly one.
bug: selected tile overlaps coverFixed. At 390×844, pause/loading/failure hit-tests return the cover above the selected tile. Covered boards have zero tile tab stops.
fidelity: pending source labelled settled/practiceFixed. At 390px, stalled requests show “Waiting for a settled round,” “Not loaded” and “Checking the wheel,” without practice or settlement claims.
bug: outage recovery below foldFixed. At 390×664, aborting requests exposes the explanatory message and Retry inside the cover. Restoring transport and pressing Retry loads the challenge.
bug: modified R spends rotationsFixed. At 1440px, Ctrl/Meta/Alt+R in both handlers remains uncancelled and spends zero moves. Plain R still rotates.
bug: 720p overlay clipsFixed. Document heights equal 720 and 1080 at the corresponding 16:9 sizes; brand and transaction link remain visible.
fidelity: hidden overlay retains controlFixed. At both overlay sizes, toggle opacity is zero without hover/focus; keyboard focus reveals it and Enter restores controls.
    bug: short-screen actions below foldFixed. Start/Rotate bottoms: 657px at 390×664; 800.375px at 390×844; 777.578px at 1440×780; 897.578px at 1440×900.
fidelity: best belongs to another roundFixed. At 1440px, winning round 1214, switching to unplayed 1201 and returning shows the earned best, zero, then the original best.
taste: initial selection reveals a scrambled tileFixed. Initial and subsequent gardens select the wheel. Rotate is disabled until the player selects a conduit.

The requirement audit groups related clauses below. The instruction to retain this accepted project governs the earlier “fresh project” wording.
