Committed. The bundle is about 0.7 MiB, well under the 8 MiB limit, with no node_modules, scratch or input files tracked.
What was built
Agent Ready, a single-page Vite + React + TypeScript site: a 15-item checklist for making websites usable by people and AI agents. Primary interactions are ticking items (score updates live), filtering by category with a remaining-only switch and empty state, downloading or copying a Markdown report, a two-step reset, and local-storage persistence. The export in
dist/uses relative asset URLs and is committed with the source and lockfile.Checks run on the final source
Check Result npm run typecheckpassed npm run buildpassed, JS 75 kB gzip npm run test22 tests in 3 files passed Headless Chromium against dist/under a subpathno console errors, no failed requests, no overflow at 320 to 1440 The browser run exercised the real download event, filter and empty state, reset, reload persistence, a 12-stop keyboard walk with visible focus rings, reduced-motion and forced-colors emulation. At 390 wide the headline, subline, score and first checkbox sit on the first screen.
Better Interface review
All six domains were checked. Eight findings were fixed, including a high one: the sidebar stacked above the list on mobile and pushed the first checkbox below the fold. Others were out-of-gamut accent values, a 1.75:1 control border, a 22px checkbox hit target, color-only pill selection, and run-together status text. Measured contrast pairs, coverage and
file:linefindings are indocs/validation.mdwith screenshots indocs/screenshots/. An identical copy sits in the untrackedartifacts/folder.Documentation
README.mdcovers install, preview, rebuild, publish and the recorded results.DESIGN.mddocuments the tokens, six-step type scale, components and breakpoints from the source.Limitations recorded
No screen-reader session, physical device, native 200% zoom or RTL check. The Playwright MCP tool blocks
file://and no managed preview existed, so inspection used a bounded script with playwright-core and a local static server. Theog:imageURL is relative and should be made absolute once the final address is known. The idea. A one-page self-assessment checklist carried by one mark: the green tick that is the logo, the checked box, the selected pill and the progress bar, on a warm off-white page with white cards.
Findings in
.imd-findings.json, most severe first:- High, fidelity: the export is empty without scripts, against the site's own "Core content readable without client scripts", and lacks JSON-LD and a sitemap. Fix is a build-time prerender with the already installed react-dom plus hydrateRoot.
- Medium, bug: the disabled Reset button has the same computed styles as a live one, including the hover tint.
- Medium, bug: at 390 the category row's clip edge lands exactly on a pill boundary, so three of six categories are hidden with no cut pill, scrollbar or cue. Wrapping fixes it but costs 96px, so pair it with the two cuts below.
- Medium, taste: four font weights where the bar is three. Change the three 650 declarations to 600.
- Medium, copy: the hero subline carries a direction. Keep the first sentence only.
- Medium, taste: the nav wraps under the brand at 390, making a 113px two-row header. Delete the Checklist link. With cuts 5 and 6 applied, the first checkbox measures 626–648, inside an iPhone's visible area.
- Low, accessibility: the pill focus ring is clipped 1px top and bottom by the scroll row.
- Low, taste: the fifth principle card sits beside an empty slot from 640 to 1023 wide.
- Low, copy: "The good news:" is a voice line on a tool page.
- Low, bug: og:image and twitter:image are relative, so the card has no image on networks that need full URLs.
Two caveats on the checks. WebKit did not run: this machine lacks libgtk-4 and libgraphene and has no sudo. Judged from the CSS, everything used ships in Safari 15.4 and later, and
text-wrap: prettyandscrollbar-widthdegrade silently and harmlessly. The probe's contrast check also measured nothing, because the site's oklch colours do not match its rgba parser, so I resolved colours through a canvas myself: all 31 text styles pass, with the lowest at 6.47:1 and control borders at 3.23:1.ran onclaude · claude-fable-5-1 · 69 turns · 21m 20s · 514 in · 84.9K out · 2.3M cachedsubmission36baecf14b584bf69dda05665a2991fda992c5f2be19c82ab8292d4c92f868eddeviceaf9a875696459139756b5a16efcdee817ccc15898ff6b2c8e1503c0b028af533started from8f05836f50e45da18784cc5d88775a5aa8099bb1bundlenoneapplied on0a2e47ecc602fb62aeb4e6ba01c6882b465ac4a2a14326c60838768202894006highfidelity: the export is empty without scripts, failing the site's own item 'Core content readable without client scripts' (and it has no JSON-LD or sitemap, its items 12 and 13)index.html:33
bug: the disabled 'Reset progress' button looks exactly like a live buttonsrc/components/ReportActions.tsx:92
390x844, Chromium, fresh profile (no ticks).
Scroll to the Report card.
Measured computed styles of .actions .button: 'Copy report' and 'Reset progress' (disabled=true) both report color oklch(0.22 0.014 85), background oklch(1 0 0), border oklch(0.65 0.012 85), cursor pointer, opacity 1.
Screenshot test/scratch/review/shots/390-report-card-idle.png shows two identical outlined buttons.
Tap 'Reset progress': no change, status line empty.
Expected: a visibly muted button, no hover tint.
bug: the category row hides three of its six pills at 390 with no cue that they existsrc/styles.css:469
390x844, Chromium, load the page. .filter-options measures scrollWidth 661 against clientWidth 358, padding box x 16 to 374.
Pill boxes: All 32-133, Structure 141-253, Content 261-366, Actions 374-475, Data 483-567, Trust 575-661.
Screenshot test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png: the Category card shows three whole pills ending short of the card edge, nothing cut, no scrollbar.
Expected: all six categories visible or an unmistakable overflow cue.
taste: four font weights where the bar is three (taste@1 type-faces fails)src/styles.css:162
Now: Headings, the brand (line 282) and the score value (line 427) use 650; buttons, item titles and card titles 600; pill labels, field labels and the Done suffix 500; body 400. The probe's type-faces check fails with 'weights (4): 400, 500, 600, 650'. Inter is not bundled, so on an iPhone 650 resolves to SF Bold (700) and 600 to SF Semibold: the fourth weight is real on the canonical device, and nobody reads 650 against 600 as a hierarchy step.
Change to: Replace the three font-weight: 650 declarations (src/styles.css lines 162, 282, 427) with font-weight: 600, leaving 400, 500 and 600; update the 'Weights used' line in DESIGN.md to match.
Why: The bar is at most three weights; size and line-height already carry the heading hierarchy here, so the extra weight adds nothing.
From the repository root: node .imd/reads/skills/design-critic/scripts/taste.mjs --out test/scratch/taste.
Check type-faces: passed false, output 'families (1): inter / weights (4): 400, 500, 600, 650 / weight 500 outside mono (noted, not counted): 11'.
The four weights occur at both 390 and 1440 and all four are on the first screen at 390 (h1 650, 'Progress' 600, pill labels 500, body 400).
Expected: three weights.
copy: the hero subline carries a direction for controls that sit below itsrc/App.tsx:54
390x844, Chromium: .hero p box 228-332 (104px, four lines at 20px/1.3); first item checkbox 730-752.
Screenshot test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png shows 'Tick what you have, then download the report.' as lines three and four of the subline.
Expected: one sentence saying what the page is.
taste: the nav wraps under the brand at 390 and 320, making a two-row header with the utilities at the leftsrc/components/Header.tsx:25
390x844, Chromium: .site-header 0-113; .brand 8-52 at x 16-150; .site-nav 60-104 at x 16-261 (second row, left-aligned).
Same boxes at 320x700.
At 768x1024 the header is 0-61 with the nav at x 499-744.
Screenshot test/scratch/taste/shots/390.png.
Expected: one row, nav at the right edge.
accessibility: the focus ring on the category pills is clipped 1px top and bottomsrc/styles.css:473
Now: The ring is 2px solid at outline-offset 2px, so it extends 4px beyond the pill, but the scroll row (overflow-x: auto makes overflow-y compute to auto) clips at its padding box, which is only 3px away: the ring's top and bottom edges lose 1px of their 2px.
Change to: padding-block: 4px; (the clip also disappears with the category-row finding, which removes the overflow).
Why: Focus appearance (WCAG 2.4.11): the indicator should be fully visible, and this is the first control group a keyboard user tabs into after the header.
390x844, Chromium, press Tab six times (skip link, brand, three nav links, then the checked 'All' radio).
Measured: ring top = pill top - 4, row padding-box top = pill top - 3, clippedTop 1, clippedBottom 1; getComputedStyle(.filter-options).overflowY is 'auto'.
Screenshot test/scratch/review/shots/390-pill-focus.png.
Expected: the full 2px ring on all four sides.
taste: the fifth principle card sits alone beside an empty slot in the two-column gridsrc/styles.css:853
Now: Between 40rem and 64rem the five 'Five things an agent needs' cards fill a two-column grid, so 'Trust' sits alone in the third row next to a bare slot (at 768 about 348x110px of page).
Change to: In the same 40rem block add .principle:last-child { grid-column: 1 / -1; } and in the 64rem block add .principle:last-child { grid-column: auto; } so the five-column row stays intact.
Why: A column left holding one card beside a hole reads as unfinished; five items only tile in one or five columns, so the odd card should take its row.
768x1024, Chromium, scroll to 'Five things an agent needs': rows Structure | Content, Actions | Data, Trust | empty.
Screenshot test/scratch/review/shots/768-full.png.
The same from 640 to 1023 wide.
Expected: no empty slot.
copy: 'The good news:' is a voice line on a tool pagesrc/components/Principles.tsx:9
Now: The section intro reads 'Each checklist item belongs to one of these. The good news: every one of them also helps a person using a screen reader, a slow connection or a small screen.'
Change to: 'Each checklist item belongs to one of these. Every one of them also helps a person using a screen reader, a slow connection or a small screen.'
Why: Tools and checklists are read to get a task done: plain words and no voice line; the fact carries itself without the aside.
1440x900, Chromium, the paragraph under 'Five things an agent needs' (screenshot test/scratch/taste/shots/1440-full.png) contains 'The good news:'. Expected: the sentence without the aside.
bug: og:image and twitter:image are relative URLs, so the card has no image on networks that need a full URLindex.html:24
Now: og:image (line 24) and twitter:image (line 30) are './og.png'. The Open Graph protocol and the X card spec take full URLs; Facebook's and X's scrapers do not resolve a relative path, so a post of this link shows title and description but no image there. The README records it as a limitation and leaves it to the publisher.
Change to: At publish time set og:image and twitter:image to the absolute address (and add og:url), then rebuild, as README.md already instructs; until the address is known the card is incomplete on those networks, so the note belongs in the final message to the requester, not only in the README.
Why: 'A title, favicon, og:title and og:image, so the link unfurls when someone posts it.'
grep -n 'og:image|twitter:image' dist/index.html prints content="./og.png" for both.
Paste the published URL into the X card validator or Facebook's sharing debugger: no image is picked up from a relative value.
Expected: an absolute https URL.
