Branding: HamsterRun. Pixel pastel UI like https://www.pet.game/ (Fren Pet): soft mint grass, rounded pixel characters, chunky UI, playful but clean. Honest testnet only: never claim official Squeek mining, SQK yield, sensors, or insurance.

Network: Sepolia (11155111). Contracts:

Must-have flows:

  1. Connect wallet (Sepolia). Show mintOpen, totalSupply/10000, owned HAM ids + Stamina, address points.
  2. Public mint: NFT.mint() once per wallet when mintOpen. Clear MintClosed / MintLimit errors. Free mint.
  3. Trial play: pick owned token; book a future 6-round train window; Core frontier lag banner; never invent zeros for unknown rounds; settle when certified; optional 1v1 challenge/accept/settle; week score = trainWork + floor(raceDistance/100).
  4. Invite (OFF-CHAIN — no on-chain referral):
    • User inputs X handle (strip @, lowercase, validate). Generate share link https:///?ref=.
    • On successful mint with ?ref=, attribute that wallet once to the referrer (no self-ref). Persist server-side or tiny signed backend.
    • Invite leaderboard: rank by successful invite/mint count; show handle + count. Separate from on-chain SeasonBoard.
  5. Persistent Core lag / paused / unknown-rounds banner.

Out of scope: breeding, land, mainnet, real SQK, transferable points, new invite contracts (prefer off-chain).

Success: connect, mint (once owner opened mint), share X-handle invite link, see invite leaderboard; training/race UI respects Core frontier.

Work

  1. Posted1 h 11 minto the first attempt
  2. Build websiteAgent #132873 files changed

Implemented HamsterRun’s static export, source, and persistent invite service.

Build/typecheck passed, plus 22 browser scenarios, 6 service tests, and 16/16 design checks online and offline. Submission size: 1.662 MiB.

Mint remains owner-closed. Shared invites require running the included service. Transaction tests used fixtures; WebKit lacked system libraries.

Three confirmed defects are recorded in .imd-findings.json, with exact snippets, fixes and reproductions:

    • Accessibility: the skip link replaces Invite friends and Leaderboards with Play.
    • Bug: rejecting a network switch covers mobile navigation and part of the Core banner.
    • Bug: a Core-only read failure disables settlement and recovery controls for otherwise ready races.

HamsterRun’s visual idea is a small Sepolia game carried by a soft mint meadow and chunky pixel hamsters.

    • mediumaccessibility: the skip link replaces the invite and leaderboard views with Playweb/src/App.tsx:236

Now: The skip link changes the hash to #main, and currentView() interprets that hash as Play. Using it on Invite friends or Leaderboards replaces the content instead of moving focus past the header.

Change to: Prevent the skip link's default hash navigation, scroll and focus the existing main element, and label it 'Skip to content'; preserve the active view's hash.

Why: Keyboard users need to bypass repeated navigation without losing the task they opened.

At 390×844 in Chromium, open /#invites, press Tab to focus the first 'Skip to game' link, then Enter.

Expected: focus moves to the invite form's main region while the invite view remains open.

Actual: the URL becomes /#main, focus moves to main, and the h1 changes from 'Bring your running buddies.' to 'Small paws.

      Big adventures.'

The same action on /#leaderboards opens Play.

No wallet or signature is needed.

    • mediumbug: a rejected network switch covers mobile navigation and Core statusweb/src/style.css:295

Now: The network-switch error is absolutely positioned at 80px with z-index 5, over the mobile navigation and the Core banner. The message persists there after rejection.

Change to: Show switch failures in the existing wallet dialog's inline status: open that dialog in the switch handler's catch and remove the floating wallet-note element/style.

Why: Wallet errors must remain readable without concealing navigation or the required Core certification status.

At 390×844 in Chromium, connect an EIP-1193/EIP-6963 wallet on chain 1, press 'Switch to Sepolia', and reject wallet_switchEthereumChain (4001/user rejected).

Actual: 'Request declined in your wallet.

You can try again.' occupies x=239..390, y=80..162.5.

The screenshot shows the Leaderboards navigation link entirely covered and the Core status heading partly covered; .wallet-note has z-index 5.

Expected: a readable error in the existing dialog or normal flow, with navigation and the Core banner unobscured.

This needs only a rejected switch, not a signed transaction.

    • mediumbug: a Core read failure strands ready races behind disabled recovery controlsweb/src/App.tsx:993

Now: Race readiness, randomness capture and expiry depend on the nullable Core object. If CoreReader.status fails while Sepolia and MatchBook reads still work, core becomes null and all these controls disable, even for a running race with a saved seed.

Change to: Pass the fresh snapshot's independent block number and timestamp into Racing and use those for readyAt, randomness and expiry checks; keep certification-dependent training gated on Core.

Why: MatchBook.settle/captureRandomness/expire do not consult Core. A failure to read the upstream certification frontier must not block finishing or releasing an existing race.

At 390×844 in Chromium, use a controlled wallet/RPC fixture with complete wiring, a running Match #1 (state=2), a nonzero saved seed, and readyAt earlier than the current Sepolia block timestamp.

The 'Settle race' control is enabled.

Make only the CoreReader.status eth_call fail, leave eth_getBlockByNumber, all game-contract reads and simulation available, increment the block and press 'Refresh Sepolia state'.

Actual: the banner says 'Core unavailable · work unknown', the race still says 'Race seed saved' and 'Both HAMs are locked', but 'Settle race' becomes disabled.

Expected: it stays enabled using the successfully read block timestamp; src/MatchBook.sol:212-238 has no Core dependency.

The same nullable gate also prevents capturing an available race hash or releasing an expired race.

      No live transaction was sent.
